Zen was blinded by his own attack, before he heard an absolutely eardrum shattering roar.

[Wrath has entered under 5% of its full health!]

[Skill "Dragon Rage" has been activated!]

[All stats besides Luck, Vitality, and Wisdom have doubled!]

"You dare touch me?! I'll kill you! You will die at the hands of Wrath!" The Dragon roared, but it was already too late.

Without uttering a single word, the Shadow Monarch ordered his Shadows to return to him, and they did.

Activating his Vasto Lorde skill for the first time, Zen's stats only got better, and he jumped high into the sky. Without missing a beat, he summoned up four Gungnirs, with the help of Kirigakure, and threw them at Wrath.

The four spears blew up on contact, and a grin grew onto Zen's face as they did.

[You have defeated the Dragon Wrath!]

[You have leveled up 18 times!]

[You have passed level 100!]

[You have evolved from Shadow Monarch to Shadow Soverign!]

[All Class Skills have leveled up!]

[Title: "Black Dragon's Successor" has been earned!]

Zen nonchalantly dropped down to the ground and took off his Vasto Lorde mask. "I really am far more powerful than my level says I should be. Now, let's see just what he dropped."

The new Shadow Sovereign walked up to the fallen Dragon with anticipation bubbling behind his stoic expression. Before he even uttered a word, he looked at the drops and picked them up.

[You have obtained "Dragon Rage" skill book.]

[You have received Dragon Gauntlet.]

[You have received Golden Pouch.]

[You have received Mythical Material, Dragon Teeth.]

"Yes!" Zen clenched his hand in utter glee. The material was really all he came for, but he wasn't about to say no to money or skills either.

And he wouldn't dare to say no to a new Shadow either.

He looked at the fallen Dragon and couldn't stop his excitement from showing. The corners of his mouth slightly turned upwards.

[Shadow Extraction can be used on the target.]

"Arise." Zen said, with his lack of fear and his being more powerful than it had ever been before, Wrath rose.

A stunning amount of energy shook the mountain down to its core as Wrath stood up for the first time since sun had seen it.

Black smoke rose from the tall looming Dragon. It's wingspan was amazing, and it was a beast like no other.

Without speaking, the new Shadow Soveriegn ordered his new Shadow to bow, and it did. It's head laid down right in front of Zen's feet, and it was quite sizable, the snout stopping at Zen's waist.

Zen couldn't help but to grin and place his hand onto the Dragon's snout.

[Name your newly gained Shadow.]

"Ikari." Zen spoke, before his eyes widened at yet another Rank he hadn't seen yet.

[Ikari]
[Level 1]
[Rank: Grand Marshal]

"Interesting." Zen spoke before hearing his Shadow speak for the first time. "Shadow Sovereign, My Lord, what shall we do next?" Ikari asked, a growling deep voice shaking Zen to his core.

"I... don't know." Zen admitted, letting out an awkward laugh. "I have to find the two other knights out of the four, but I have no idea where they'd be."

Suddenly, his expression steeled, realizing just what he needed to do next. "The Demon Tower. I nearly forgot because if how intense things have been, but that's my number 1 goal." Zen clenched his fist, his memories of despair with the Dual Dungeon flipping past his mind.

"I wonder if I'm strong enough to beat those monsters. Either way it doesn't matter, I won't be going back there anytime soon." Zen hummed to himself as he ordered his Shadows to return to him; All of them besides Ikari.

"This will be... awesome." The Shadow Sovereign jumped onto Ikari's back, and stuck out his hand, pointing upwards. "Fly, Ikari!" And with the simple order, he shot up into the sky.

"Fire attacks are becoming more normal as I climb the tower, and for some reason, there isn't much fire resistant gear in the store. That being the case, I still have to meet with Winto Sung first, to give him these Dragon Scales."

Almost as if by command, Winto Sung's voice suddenly swept past Zen's ears. "Meet me in the cafe, there we'll finished our deal."

Zen didn't even worry, listening to the Abyss Auction Manager.

"Sire, should we listen to such an unknown person?" Baruka chimed in, gaining a nod from Zen. "It's fine. We can handle ourselves against him anyways."

The new Shadow Soveriegn entered the cafe and sat down in front of Winto Sung. "So, you actually did it." Winto grinned, noticing Zen's stronger aura.

"That Dragon energy. It was you, wasn't it?" Winto asked, leaning forward, resting his elbows on the table.

"Yeah, it was. While I would love to continue with this small chatter, I must go somewhere, so all you need are the Scales?" Zen questioned quickly, planning on keeping this interaction small.

"Yes, that's all." Winto hummed, causing Zen to pull the item from his inventory. The Scale was decently large and shimmering, and Zen laid it on the table.

"Is that all?" Zen asked, as Winto Sung touched it and made it dissapear. "That'll be all. I'll get back to you soon with your dagger."

Zen rose from his seat, and walked out of the bar without a semblance of worry.

"Next, I need to be getting some new gear. But in order to get some new gear, I need some more money. And, in order to do that, I've gotta sell some stuff. My big problem is that I still count as an E Rank. If I had an A Rank Gate under my belt, I may be able to get away with selling a high item if I do that."

Zen arrived at his home and without missing a beat, got to his computer. "It would be amazing to get a job in a Gate, but nobody is gonna accept an E Ran...k." Zen wandered off as he saw the Hunters Guild with an open spot for an E Rank.

"I could even ask Winto to pull some strings for me but... I don't want to get close to him. He has far too many problems surrounding his presence." Zen sighed, before strengthening his will and holding his mice over the button to confirm the job.

"Okay then, let's do this job as a miner." Zen confirmed the job, and took a deep breath in.

"Status."

He called out, wondering what his stats looked like.

"Hmm.. I'm stronger than I could've ever imagined, and yet, I don't feel like I am." Zen sighed, before he cheered up. "It's fine though! That just means I can only get stronger!" Zen's face turned into a grin, and he felt his Shadows grow excited underneath his feet.

"King! Let's fight more!"

"We shall slay our enemies!"

"My liege, I'll cut them all up to pieces!"

"I'll show them the Wrath of a Dragon for the Shadow Monarch!"

Zen heard his Shadows roar inside of his Shadow. "Yeah, I hear you all. You guys couldn't fight because we were up against Ikari, but we'll fight soon." Zen grinned, and then he heard a knock on his door.

"Bro... you okay? It sounds like you're talking to nobody..." Jino slowly opened up Zen's door, peaking her head into the room. Zen nervously laughed to himself as he realized what he must be sounded like.

"Uh yeah... I'm all cool. Thanks, Sis."
