Hi my lovely readers! I realize the last chapter was absolutely horrible, so I'm probably gonna rewrite the chapter eventually.

Also, I know I did Annabeth's POV not long ago, but I did Percy the chapter before last, and Nico's, well... I need one of the Tartarus survivors for this chappie, so I used Annabeth.

IF YOU HAVN'T READ THE HOUSE OF HADES, YOU WILL NOT UNDERSTAND THIS CHAPTER! Well, you might, but you won't really be able to understand what everyone is feeling, or why Percy and Annabeth know stuff the others don't, etc...

Don't say I didn't warn you.

AnnabethPOV

Of course. After all the stuff that happened today, trying to simply cross the border to Camp Half-Blood is the hardest.

When we left the enemy camp, Frank had to land quickly. He had a hard time carrying all of us even a very short distance. Percy IM'd Chiron and asked if he could send Argus to pick us up.

All that was easy, though, compared to what happened the moment we got within sight range of Thalia's pine tree.

A small cavern collapsed in front of us, as we approached the hill. Argus was forced to slam on the breaks, and the van we were in spun out and flipped. Hazel screamed in pain as she protected Jason with her arm. It bent back and the bone snapped. Piper hissed as she slammed her head on the roof of the van. I myself slammed into the door on the side and my vision blurred. I suddenly felt really nauseous.

'Great.' I thought. 'Now I have a concussion.'

"Argus do we have ambrosia?" Percy yelled.

Suddenly he gasped. I followed his gaze, and my heart dropped. Argus was gone. The only trace of him ever being there, was the gold dust littering the steering wheel and seat. The whole drivers' side was caved in. There was no way he could've survived.

"Argus!" I cried.

A gentle hand grabbed my wrist. I turned and saw Calypso looking at me worriedly.

"Annabeth we have to go. We will grieve later." She said.

I nodded and started getting out of the van, when a hand pulled me back.

"We can't go that way!" Cried, Frank.

It was true. The ground underneath the van was crumbling starting right where I was about to get out.

"Guys we have to get out now," I said calmly. "Will, can you open the back door?"

"Guys, out now!" Will shouted as he pried the door open.

As soon as I scrambled out, I immediately fell over from dizziness and nausea. I cursed myself. How could I be letting some concussion cause me to stop functioning?

Percy handed me an ambrosia square and I chewed it gratefully. A sharp cry of pain from Hazel knocked me back to my senses.

"I'm sorry Haze, but I had to set it." Said Will.

I scrambled to my feet and helped Piper stand up.

"Percy, help me with Jason!" Called Frank.

They balanced his weight between them and started walking.

Suddenly the ground started shaking. More cracks started forming on the ground. Red acid started flowing up in huge clouds. Some sort of black liquid started seeping up through the earth. It came together until it formed a small stream. It started flowing in random directions, and everywhere it went, pulsing pink...stuff...started forming an arch around it, completely encasing it. As soon as the pink stuff came together, it started pulsing.

After a few seconds of staring at it, I noticed that the pulsing had a pattern. Dread filled me, and I made eye contact with Percy. He seemed to have the same conclusion I did. This river was a vein. It was one of Tartarus' veins.

"We have to go," I said. "NOW!"

We struggled to run to the base of the hill. Percy and Frank were lagging behind. So was Hazel, who was barely able to run.

Percy's face suddenly brightened and I knew he had an idea. He did a loud taxicab whistle. Not as loud as Wills, but still pretty loud. A few seconds later, a black Pegasus was circling us overhead.

Blackjack.

"Can you take two passengers?" Asked Percy.

A few seconds later his face brightened.

"Just make sure you hold your breath when you come down! The air is acidic!"

He was right. The air was the same as when we were in Tartarus. The metallic taste of blood was in my mouth, and I felt incredibly weak. The others didn't look any better. At one point Calypso coughed, and when she took her hand away from her mouth, it was glistening red with blood.

"That can't be good." She mumbled.

Percy and Frank slung Jason over Blackjack's back.

"Hazel get on." Said Frank.

"No. I'm not leaving you all out here." She said.

"Hazel you can't move very fast right now. Please?"

Hazel sighed.

"I really don't want to." She said.

"I know." Said Calypso. "But your arm is causing you to move slower, and we don't want you to get hurt."

Hazel looked down but reluctantly climbed onto Blackjack.

They took off towards camp, and we started running again. This time much faster.

More liquid from the 5 rivers started seeping out if the ground.

"Don't let any of it touch you." warned Percy.

Huge caverns started forming in the ground. Trees fell, and animals and monsters alike fleed. Wailing and screaming could be heard, but it was impossible to pinpoint where it was coming from. I felt like I was being watched, just like I had when Percy and I were in Tartarus.

The acid clouds became thicker and thicker until we had no choice but to breathe it in. The moment the poisonous air reached my lungs, I was pulled into a flashback.

~ Flashback ~

"I trust you completely Percy." I thought.

I had just killed a stupid Arai and received a curse of blindness. I hated not being able to see. I felt as though I was a ship lost at sea, with my only anchor being Percy, whose arm I held clutched in my hands.

Percy started running. I blindly followed close behind. We kept running, him leading us through trees, and rows of monsters.

Suddenly I felt a cold rough hand grab my arm. Sharp claw-like nails were digging into my skin. I screamed in rage and grabbed the Arai's wrist, flipping it over my back, and landing in its neck with my elbow.

Immediately a cold empty feeling washed over me. I grabbed blindly at Percys arm for support, but I was met with empty air.

"Percy?" I asked slowly.

Silence.

A cold feeling washed over me as I heard the cackling of the Arai around me.

"Percy? Why did you leave me?" I asked desperately.

I kept walking around blindly calling for him.

Suddenly I felt a warm arm around my waist and I was jerked from the flashback.

~ End of Flashback ~

I opened my eyes, and saw Percy standing over me shaking me, and snapping in front of my face.

I bolted upright.

"What happened?" I asked urgently.

"You had a flashback." answered Percy. "Are you able to stand? We have to go."

"Yeah, I'm ok."

Will handed me more ambrosia, which I happily ate, then we started running again.

We dodged through a maze of veins and rocks and finally reached the border to camp. Percy and I ran through first, then checked to make sure everyone else was there.

I only counted 5. There were supposed to be 6 of us. I scanned the group again. Where was Piper?

I heard a scream come from behind me. I whirled around and saw Piper sprawled out on the ground, with vines pinning her to the ground.

Before I could even think to react, Will had rushed back outside and in one swift motion, cut the vines with his blade.

Suddenly the veins on the ground started moving. They were spreading out to the borders of camp. But instead of trying to get in, like I had assumed they would do, they started climbing up the border, creating a some around us.

As soon as a vein connected with another, they started glowing red. They continued to do this, until there were only a few small holes left.

I tried running out to help them, but Will started shouting.

"No! Don't come out! You won't be able to get back in!" He shouted.

"What about you and Piper?"

"We'll be fine, Annabeth!" Piper responded.

"No, not we." Said Will. "I."

"Wha—"

Before Piper could react, Will shoved her inside the border right as the last of the holes were covered.

"Will!" I shreiked.

Percy tried to slash at the veins with his sword, but was thrown backwards by a bolt of electricity.

The borders had been reversed. Now, instead of keeping monsters out, it was keeping us in. And Will was stuck outside.

By now, the whole camp was awake and outside, but the 5 of us just ignored their questions.

"Frank, can you try to fly out the top?" Asked Calypso.

"I'll try."

He turned into an eagle and flew towards the top of the barrier, but he was immediately thrown backward and fell unconscious next to Percy.

"You guys it's ok." Said Will as vines started attacking him and pinning him down.

Will struggled, but there was no way he could break free from the thick, tough vines. They started dragging him down into the earth.

Will managed to give us one last faint smile, before the vines dragged him into the ground.

Oh no, poor Will! I honestly had no clue this was going to happen until I wrote it down. I keep doing that. I'll have a plan, then I'll completely change it as a start writing.

Anyway, I have literally nothing to say, except please review!

See you later!
