WWE SummerSlam was live at Staples Center in Los Angeles, show began airing with Rey Mysterio defending the WWE Intercontinental Championship against Dolph Ziggler. The match was contested at a fast pace, with Mysterio gaining executing a moonsault before the match descended out of the ring, where Mysterio executed a hurricanrana. As the match returned to the ring, Mysterio attempted an aerial attack, but Ziggler countered with a turnbuckle powerbomb. Mysterio attempted a 619, but Ziggler countered with a leg drop bulldog. As the match continued, Mysterio executed the 619 and attempted a springboard splash, but Ziggler avoided the move. Ziggler climbed to the top rope with Mysterio and attempted an attack, but Mysterio countered with a frankensteiner to retain the title.

Next, Jack Swagger faced MVP. Swagger applied various holds and attempted a Swagger Bomb on MVP, but MVP countered the move. MVP executed a big boot on Swagger, who was cornered, and the Playmaker for the win.

JeriShow (Chris Jericho and The Big Show) defended the Unified WWE Tag Team Championship against Cryme Tyme (JTG and Shad Gaspard). After JTG gained advantage over Jericho, Jericho tagged in Big Show, dominating JTG. JTG tagged in Gaspard, who was speared by The Big Show. Jericho applied the Walls of Jericho on JTG, who tried to reach the ropes, but Big Show executed a KO Punch on him, allowing Jericho to pin JTG to retain the title.[41]

Next up was Kane vs The Great Khali.

The bell rings and Khali is moving forward at Kane. Khali pushes Kane into the corner and hits a few right hands and kicks. The referee makes Khali move back. Kane catches Khali with a big uppercut and hits a few right hands. Kane attempts an irish whip, but Khali counters and sends Kane over the top rope.

Kane rolls back in and Khali clotheslines him right away. Khali misses a leg drop and Kane dropkicks Khali in the face. Kane with a cover and Khali kicks out after two. Kane drops some elbows over the chest of Khali, backs up and hits a big third elbow.

Kane signals the end with the chokeslam. Khali grabs Kane's arm and pushes it away and starts choking Kane. Khali then catches Kane with a big clothesline and drops an elbow over Kane. Kane kicks out after two. Khali mounts Kane and drops a few right hands. Khali covers and Kane kicks out quickly after one.

Khali sends Kane face first into the corner and then clotheslines Kane into the corner. Khali with a big chest chop over Kane. JR added, "That would restart a dead heart!" Kane goes up top and catches Khali with a flying clothesline, hooks the leg and Khali kicks out after two. Kane then grabs Khali and applies a reverse chinlock as Khali tries to fight out of it.

Kane drops down still applying the chinlock and wrapping his legs around Khali in a body scissors. Kane yells at the referee to ask Khali if he quits. Khali starts fighting back to his feet and catches Kane with a big elbow and boot on Kane. Khali chops Kane over the head, covers and Kane gets a shoulder up just after two.

Khali then applies the Vice Grip over the head of Kane. Kane falls into the ropes and the referee makes Khali break it up. Kane then reaches out and brings in Ranjin Singh. Kane threatens to take him out and then throws him out of the ring. This allows Kane to dropkick Khali in the knees and hit a big DDT on Khali. Kane covers Khali and gets the pinfall.

As Kane's theme plays however...

OOOOWHOOOOOO!

The fans popped at hearing the wolf howl, knowing it only belongs to one man Kane claimed to be 'dead'. Kane starts looking around wildly, shaking his head as the lights dim to the sinister blood red, multiple wolf howls being heard.

"NO! NO! NO! HE'S DEAD! Kane yelled as he looked at the stage. "I BURNED YOU ALIVE! NO! WHY?!"

The titantron glitches, showing wolves hunting in the forests of a wasteland area, then it shows a sign that says 'Death Valley'. The titantron glitches and goes static a few times before it shows a rundown cabin as rain pours down in the night, a black wolf with hellfire eyes was sitting on the porch of the cabin, guarding the door.

"The Devil Incarnate..." A demonic voice spoke. "...is coming."

The titantron goes black and the lights go out for a few seconds before a spotlight shines on the stage where the same black wolf from the video was seen sitting in the middle of the ramp, snarling and staring at Kane who was wide eyed. The lights go out for a few seconds, about 15 seconds before they came back on...AND THE WOLF WAS GONE!

Kane looked around, shaking his head as he did so. He fell to his knees, shouting. "NO! NO! HE'S NOT COMING BACK! I DESTROYED HIM!" Kane rolls out the ring and starts storming up the ramp-

BOOM!

Kane fell back in shock, literally falling onto his backside, as a massive wall of fire blew up in front of him. Kane stared on with wide eyes before the fire died away then four lightning bolts struck the turnbuckles in the ring, making them shoot fire. Kane looked back with wide eyes and shook his head before he ran up the stage and backstage, leaving the fans wondering if Bladewolf was coming back or if this was just the beginning of his eventual return...

This was just the beginning of the mind games. Bladewolf won't have that much of a changed look when he returns, okay maybe in ring gear and entrance attire, and maybe a different eye colour as part of the gimmick, but the demonic wolf mask that is basically a wolf version of The Fiend's mask, before it was burnt, will stay the same.

Then again, just because the character got burned alive doesn't mean a total evolution. I mean, look at Undertaker after he got burned by Kane, then set on fire by the Ortons, he didn't change the character or evolve it, but come back with a badass entrance and kick ass.

Don't know about the theme. It may stay what it is right now, I may choose another but with a demonic remix to it. I've been looking on Youtube for songs that are about monsters and demons and have a demonic voice.

Like, I watched Skillet's Monster with a demonic voice and I was like "Hmm, could be good for somebody that is a demon in human flesh really."
