Hi everyone, hope you are doing well and hope you like this chapter. :)

Everyone knew about this. Everyone talked about this. Ootori family was the center of everyone's attention. One kidnapping after another, multiple attacks and family members injured. Kyoya's hands were not shaking. His cold stare at the flashing cameras was unwavering. He was speaking calmly, asking the kidnappers to release his wife.

Everyone knew about this. His family was targeted and appeared weak. His father was still in hospital, recovering.

"Ootori-san," he heard his name being called from all sides, pictures being taken rapidly, like it mattered to show everyone his sleep deprived face, tired eyes. "Ootori-san, is this kidnapping connected to your father's assassination attempt? Did your company discover major illness treatment? What's the reason behind these attempts to harm your family?"

He blinked.

"Mr. Ootori," a foreign journalist was waving at him, trying to grab his attention. "Is it true that your company has ties with Pharmotech? Did you fund their recent biomedical research in human gene therapy? Is your wife's kidnapping done by anti-bioresearch groups to send you a message? Are you planning to expand Pharmotech?"

His hands were not shaking.

No. He felt rage that was cooling the blood in his veins. He felt rage that was freezing his muscles. Rage that demanded him to act. To destroy those who intended to destroy him. His control of the situation had slipped, and he had allowed that to happen. He allowed himself to get sidetracked.

He needed to take everything back under his command and put all the pieces back in their place. And Haruhi's place was with him.

He always wanted her. He wanted her since the beginning, and yet that want had always been tentative, cautious. He gave her room to choose, and she did choose him, despite liking Tamaki. She chose him over others. And he had went against everyone in his family, against the press, against people's opinion, against his aristocratic peers, because he wanted her and only her.

To keep her and his family, he needed to be less forgiving, less indulgent, more ruthless.

He stared at the crowd coldly. This was a spectacle. Those who had her would watch this, and he wanted them to know who they were dealing with.

"Those who think that harming my family will make me change my opinion on the future of medical research are mistaken. But at the same time, they should know that I will do everything to have my wife safe at my side."

"Sir," Tachibana approached him and whispered quietly. "There is something you need to know. I think we found the one responsible."

"Thank you for your support," he bowed politely before the gathered public and exited under the heavy hail of questions.

They entered the security room. Only Kyoya's most trusted men were waiting for him. Tachibana had taken care of everything.

"It's Ito Yuki," Tachibana pursed his lips, concern clear in his eyes, knowing that the information he was about to deliver was going to be unpleasant. "Since your last order to look into her. We have opened an investigation and were actively monitoring her, sir."

Kyoya frowned. "What did she do?"

"We have just gotten the transcripts of her phone calls," Tachibana informed him. "And the last two big money transfers she had made."

One of the men walked forward to hand Kyoya the paperwork. Kyoya grabbed them and skimmed over the pages, progressively getting more frantic.

"Sir, she has been plotting this entire time to kidnap Haruhi-san," Tachibana laid out blankly. "She had paid and hired two large gang syndicate to orchestrate the car accident and abduct her. From the phone conversations and mails she had send, we can assume that Haruhi-san is safe, as she didn't want them to hurt her. But we can't get any further information what she intends to do. Currently we are looking to locate these syndicates."

Kyoya was silent as he was staring at the documents. "And what is this?" he asked showing several other transactions and communication logs.

"I am afraid, sir, that Miss Yuki wasn't exactly travelling for seminars and to meet her friends."

"She has been using me," Kyoya laughed. "Her family and her had been using the resources of Ootori company to commit crimes."

"I am sorry, sir," Tachibana bowed. "We are looking into it right now. I am waiting for your order to send my men to the lab research center. We will close off the entire section to collect everything and detain everyone for questioning."

Kyoya cupped his face and sighed. How did he allow this to happen? How did he not notice? Yuki had played him like a fiddle. If this ever got out, he would be ruined. Ootori name would be tarnished, and he wouldn't be surprised if his father disowned him. He would disown himself if he could. He was an absolute idiot. Allowing for that little bitch to snake her way into his life and drag his company into criminal conspiracy.

"Kyoya-sama?" Tachibana was waiting for his decision.

Kyoya rubbed his forehead. "Do not take any action," he told him. "Our priority is to get Haruhi back home. I will deal with Yuki and this mess afterwards. Let them think they are safe. We can't let this ever become public. You can undertake an internal investigation into the research they are conducting, but make sure not to raise suspicion. Collect evidence against Ito family."

"The attack against Ootori-sama is connected with this research," Tachibana told him. "I think your father grew suspicious and they took an action against him."

"Even if we get the evidence and distance ourselves from this, the mere fact that we could be fooled to be used like this will not reflect well on Ootori group," Kyoya reasoned, pacing in the room. "Everything should stay in secret. All leaks should be suppressed. We will deal with the issue internally.

"What are you planning to do, sir?"

"Let them feel safe, and then I will bury them all," he said coldly. "Get in contact with Kasanoda and the others that owes us favors. It's time to show them that they can't cross an Ootori like this."

A/N- Guys hope you like this chapter. That warning I gave several times that this story will get dark was no joke. It will get dark. As Kyoya's character progresses to the direction it was supposed to, things will start to look different. I hope that won't put you off. Keep up leaving me comments on what you think.
