The skill ability is self-explanatory, with it Xiang Yu able to predict the future but to activate it. Xiang Yu first must gather sufficient information. It had a similar effect to Foresight but the process to reach it was totally different.
Foresight is clearly magic, something that can't be explained but Future Prediction is not. In life Xiang Yu is an Artificial Human similar to the android concept of modern time.
As a being that similar to android, Xiang Yu has a superior processing power than a normal humans. Future Prediction work by processing every possible scenario and choosing the most likely scenario that will happen.
The more information is collected, the more precise is the prediction. Because of that the lack of information about titan literally shutting it off but with the bout just now, Xiang Yu mind managed to gain enough information to start predicting the future.
In practice it similar to high-mastery Kenboshoku Haki from one piece.
At his peak in life, Xiang Yu managed to use it to predict entire China. Of course as servant just like any Foresight user it got a big downgrade, afterall a Holy Grail War usually just covers an entire city, it totally unfair if Xiang Yu can predict every movement of the entire city after a single stroll around. It becomes a battle-only skill.
The moment the skill active until the battle ends, the titans didn't manage to touch even a single strand of hair from Xiang Yu
