Ch46

Magnus sat down next to Percy as he explained the situation. "So we will go with Will Solace and raid a camp so that they can get a chariot?" Percy asked.

He nodded, "Yeah, thanks for coming by the way."

"No problem dude," Percy said with a smile. "Rachel is busy today but seriously they are fighting over a chariot?" He asked in an incredulous tone.

He nodded, "Yup," he already explained the situation of how the raid went and how Clarisse and Michael and their respective cabins were in a feud. Percy apparently did not want the chariot either but they didn't say anything less the Apollo Cabin and Ares Cabin start an all out war in the camp between the two cabins.

Percy sighed, "Well it sounds just like Clarisse. She can be really childish at times; I can't believe she is acting so childish over a chariot."

"I know man but what do you expect?" He said with a sigh. "Well at least we aren't busy for this."

Percy nodded, "Yeah Rachel is busy with some art project so we didn't do anything today. Besides, things are getting busier by the day," he said with a grim look.

He nodded, "Yeah I understand man things are starting to get tense everywhere. Everyone is giving their all in order to take down Kronos and his army."

"Yeah things will eventually reach a climax I believe," Percy said with a sigh.

They then heard the sound of horses. They turned to see Blackjack and two of his friends fly towards them with Will Solace on one of them. "Hey guys are you ready?" Will asked when the horses landed on the ground.

"Hey Will, yeah we are thanks for joining us," Percy said with a smile.

"Great lets get going then," Will said with a bright smile.

He and Percy both nodded and got onto their pegasi. They were soon in the air and flying off to their target. Their mission was simple, to take out a minor outpost of Kronos's army located in Pennsylvania. The post was one that was being used as a transit point for the Kronos's army and was a mid level target for the Camp to destroy.

He was nervous about finding another chariot. However, Blitz, Hearthstone, and even his father helped him find an enemy outpost that had one. He didn't know how they did it but he didn't care, he just wanted to be able to find it so that this stupid feud between the Apollo and Ares Cabins became a full out conflict between the two.

Despite Chiron trying to calm the two sides they still were at each other's throats every day. The Apollo Cabin put a curse on a bunch of the Ares Cabin so that they rhymed a lot while the Ares Cabin turned their arrows into duds.

Seriously though we are about to go to war and they are acting like children. Well Clarisse more than Michael. He for the most part had been spared from the fighting mainly since he made it clear that he had no interest in the chariot. Still though, both sides still tried to drag him into the silly affair and he would just leave or try to calm the situation.

"So Will is the Ares Cabin really giving you guys such a hard time?" Percy asked.

Will nodded, "Yeah, even though we got the chariot Clarisse and her siblings are being dicks about it."

"Wow, well sounds just like her. I don't care for chariots that much to be honest," Percy said.

"Yeah well heads up but Clarisse may question you and demand to know if you want the chariot or not. Magnus said he doesn't want it and Chiron said we should wait for you. I think he is saying that just to calm the tension a bit though," Will said with a sigh.

"Yeah Magnus filled me in," Percy said with a sigh. "Hopefully we can solve things here."

Will nodded, "Yeah met too. Michael and the rest of our cabin are willing to give her the chariot if we find one that is good and better."

Yeah I hope so too he thought. He trusted Hearthstone and Blitz when they said that there was a chariot to take at this place but he was still nervous about this whole thing. If there isn't a chariot or if its not to Michael Yew's liking then this fight between Apollo and Ares will get worse. And a conflict between the two cabins is the last thing anyone wants here. We are in the middle of a war; we can't afford to have any infighting.

"Hey Magnus you know if there isn't a chariot or anything we won't be mad at you," Will said giving him a sympathetic look. "I mean we know you are doing this to try and help everyone out, its not your fault if there isn't a chariot here."

He looked up at Will and nodded, "Thanks, I hope there is one but I just hope everything works out," he said with a sigh.

Will nodded, "Me too, the last thing we want is to fight with the Ares Cabin but we won't let Clarisse bully us."

Yeah you shouldn't he thought as he looked at Percy who was also nodding. "I'm sure things will work out, lets just focus on the task at hand," Percy said as they flew closer to their target.

They slowly landed at the target when they approached it from a safe distance. It was an abandoned building in the outskirts of a small town outside Harrisburg. They all landed a safe distance away and quickly went to scout the enemy location. The building looked like an abandoned farmhouse, it had various monster and enemy demigods patrolling the area.

"It doesn't look like there are a lot," Percy said as he observed the enemy.

Will nodded, "Yeah it looks like there aren't a lot of enemies. There is also a river for you to use."

Percy nodded, "Sounds great. Magus why don't you and will fly in on the pegasi to surprise them."

"Sounds good," he said as Will nodded.

"Great lets do this," Percy said with a smile.

He and Will nodded as they went back to their Pegasi while Percy headed towards the River. They got onto their pegasi and flew into the air above the enemy position. "Lets do this Magnus," Will said as he grabbed his bow and arrow.

He nodded and both of them descended on their enemies. Their enemies were taken by surprise as they landed right behind their gate. However, before they could react he quickly disarmed them and Will fired his arrows at them.

He grabbed his celestial bronze sword and decapitated a monster that tried to charge at him. An alarm went off and more monsters came out of the building; however, Percy summoned a wave of water from the nearby river and took out the monsters and enemies.

"Lets go," he told Will who fired more arrows at the enemy. Will nodded as Percy came from the river and summoned more water from a nearby well to kill the nearby monsters.

The three of them worked together as they fought off the wave of enemies. There weren't a lot nearby and Percy summoned the water from the stream, the well, and all the nearby water sources to completely flood the floor of the enemy house. "I'll take the house you guys go clear the enemies outback," Percy said.

He and Will nodded and the two of them headed towards the back of the house. Out in the back there was a large barn guarded by a bunch of enemies. When the monsters saw them they roared and charged at them. He quickly disarmed them while Will took them out with arrows. He charged with his celestial bronze sword and took out an enemy and quickly opened the barnyard.

He was expecting more monsters but to his surprise and delight there was a chariot. "Yes!" He said as he ran up to the chariot. He looked around to double check that there were no enemies and then looked at the chariot. This looks odd he looked it over, it was definitely a chariot but it had a bunch of ornate jewels and carvings on it. This doesn't look like a Greek chariot he had seen pictures of chariots from the Norse world from his father and Blitz and it looked kind of like one.

"Hey Magnus are you ok?" Will asked as he came in. Then he saw the chariot, "Wow that looks cool man!" He said as he approached it. Will looked at him and smiled, "You know I think my siblings will like this chariot more."

"I hope so too," he said with a nervous chuckle. He looked at the chariot which had various carvings of dragons and warriors on it. Why wasn't this guarded? This thing looks priceless why don't they have more people defending it?

"Hey guys how are things here?" Percy asked as he came in. Percy then saw the chariot, "Wow great there was a chariot here after all."

Will nodded, "Yeah, I'm pretty sure I can convince my siblings to take this own over the other one."

"Were there a lot of monsters in the house?" He asked.

Percy shook his head, "No not really. I took care of them all, the pipes still had water in them."

"Ah ok cool, well lets bring this back to camp and talk to Michael," he said. Will nodded and they quickly brought the chariot outside and called their pegasi. They were able to attach the chariot to one of the Pegasi without any problem and before they knew it they were heading back to New York.

"Hey guys I actually have something to do for my mom is it cool if I just go straight home?" Percy asked.

"Sure no problem dude thanks for coming," he said.

"Yeah no problem you should rest while you can," Will said with a smile.

"Cool thanks, my mom's boyfriend wants to treat us and I don't want to miss it for her," he said.

"Go ahead dude send them my regards," he said.

"Will do," Percy said with a smile.

They had a nice trip back to New York without any problem. Once they reached New York City Percy said goodbye to them as they headed back to camp. They landed the chariot in front of the Big House and startled some campers. "Magnus wow you really did find a chariot," Annabeth said in a mixture of surprise and relief.

"Yeah I'll go get Michael and you get Chiron?" Will asked.

Annabeth nodded, "Will do," she said as she gave them both a smile.

He got off his horse and looked at the chariot. Will eventually came with Michael Yew and a bunch of his other siblings. "Wow this is really cool," Michael said in awe as he and his siblings looked it over.

"Do you like it?" He asked.

Michael nodded, "Yes I think it is good, what do you guys think?" He asked his siblings who all nodded in agreement. Magnus stepped aside as the Apollo Cabin examined the chariot, all were amazed by the design and intricacy of the chariot.

"Well I am glad to see you are all back," Chiron said as he came out. He then looked at the Chariot and his eyes widened, "You found this chariot on the quest?" He asked.

He nodded, "Yeah it was there and we found it," he said as he felt Chiron's piercing gaze. "We don't know how it got there," he said defensively.

Chiron sighed, "I understand, these things happen. Anyway Michael Yew how do you and your cabinmates feel about accepting Magnus's offer? Take this chariot and let the Ares Cabin have the other one?"

There was a silence as Michael Yew and his siblings looked at each other. They all nodded their heads in agreement, "If we get this chariot, Clarisse can definitely have the other one," Michael said as Will and the other members of Apollo Cabin nodded in agreement.

He saw looks of relief on Chiron and Annabeth's face as Chiron let out a sigh of relief, "Well then Magnus Chase do you relinquish your claim to this chariot?"

"Yes I do," he said firmly.

Chiron and his cousin smiled at him. "Then by all means this chariot is property of the Apollo Cabin."

The Apollo Cabin cheered, "Great, tell Clarisse her cabin can have that other one," Michael said with a smile before turning towards his siblings. "Come on lets take this for a test drive." His sibling cheered as they all wanted a turn on it.

He let out a sigh of relief but he then noticed Chiron was giving him a lets talk now look. Crap he thought as he nodded and followed Chiron to his office while his cousin went to do something else.

When he reached Chiron's office he closed the door. "Look I don't know how it got there I swear," he said immediately.

Chiron looked at him and sighed, "I believe you, that is a Norse chariot. But it doesn't matter, thank you Magnus for helping solve this dispute," he said with a small smile.

"No problem, I just hope Clarisse accepts things the way they are," he said.

"I hope so too. I doubt she will complain, she will have the chariot that she and her siblings wanted," Chiron said with a chuckle. "You did a good job Magnus, you helped prevent a feud between two cabins a noteworthy foot indeed."

"Thanks," he said with a sigh. "I'm going back to my apartment tonight, there is something I want to check on."

Chiron nodded, "Go ahead, I'll let Annabeth know that you left for the night."

"Thanks," he said as he exited Chiron's office.

He headed back to his apartment and made it back without any fuss. When he arrived he found Blitz and Hearthstone waiting for him. "Hey how did your quest go?" Blitz asked.

"Good, by chance did you guys place that chariot there?" He asked suspiciously.

Blitz looked at Hearthstone and both of them smiled, "Well we placed it nearby. There are a lot of them in Valhalla so we just made sure that it did not leave the farm where those Greek monsters were at," Blitz explained.

He sighed, "Well thanks, we ended up getting it and now the two cabins won't start some sort of feud."

Hearthstone signed, "So all is good?"

"Yeah all is well I believe," he signed back. The elf smiled at him and gave him a thumbs up.

"Anyway I'm going to get a shower I am exhausted," he signed. Blitz and Hearthstone nodded as he headed to his room. He was beyond exhausted and just wanted to rest.

Alex Fierro sighed as she sat with Ethan, "So they attacked another one of our strongholds huh?" She asked as she rested in her chair.

"Yeah but don't worry it was a minor outpost," Ethan said as he polished his spear.

"I would love to have gotten my hands on that son of Poseidon," she said as she gripped her fists. "Too bad, I left that area the night before."

"Don't forget we cannot harm him yet," Ethan said seriously.

Alex laughed, "Oh I know and don't you worry I won't kill him yet I Just want to see them suffer a bit."

She watched Ethan roll his eye. "Oh by the way is it true that the blonde kid with him is like me?" She asked curiously.

She knew that she was a daughter of Loki and despite working for Kronos she actually found it interesting that there were other Gods. It seemed each day she learned something knew. Kronos, Alabaster, and Ethan all helped her perfect her powers. She was a much more capable fighter and her transformations were getting better to the point that she could transform into other people. Alabaster and Kronos even made a special charm for her to keep her consciousness intact while she was transformed and even another one to keep her body from changing when she did not want it to. Lord Kronos has given me everything, more than what I could have ever imagined and I will not fail him she thought as she looked at a vase she made on the table.

Ethan nodded, "Yes, he is also a son of a Norse demigod. Remember though you can't publicize it."

"I know I know," she said with a sigh. That was one rule that apparently Kronos wanted to enforce, she could not just tell people willy nilly that she was the daughter of a Norse God. When asked she said she is the daughter of Hermaphroditus, fitting how even the Olympians treat their kids badly she thought as she remembered all the pain she had suffered growing up. But that was then, now I won't let anyone hurt me anymore. I will help Lord Kronos achieve his goal, that way people like me won't have to suffer anymore and can live freely.

She got up and stretched. "I'm going to train a bit and then go to bed let me know if you need anything else," she said.

"Alright will do," Ethan said as he nodded at her.

She nodded and walked away as she headed back to the main training ground. I will prepare the best I can for this fight, I will not let him down she thought as a smile spread across her face.
