Author Comment: The first Short Story is ready. It will be posted on Saturday. It's better to have a little fun story at the beginning of the week-end.
The dragons and Hunter finished searching for the eggs in the realm. After they were done, they were preparing to go to the Fireworks Factory.
Hunter stopped and turned towards them, "Okay. You all did a great work. I'll go and search for the eggs around here. I'll see you again later. We need to take all the chances on our side."
Spyro nodded and waved at his friend, "Bye Hunter. My siblings are counting on you!"
"Sure, thing buddy. You got your dads with you. Got nothing to worry about."
"I'm a tough dragon," the purple dragon grumbled as his friend left.
Sparx tapped the cheek of his friend. He buzzed that he was just messing up with him.
Zoe chuckled, "Right."
"You are great Spyro," Flame encouraged him. The two younglings talked together with a smile. The young red dragon asked, "What's so special about Malefor?"
Spyro began to explain what he knew about his dad.
Titan wasn't keen on meeting with Malefor. Why do they had to meet the evil dragon like that.
Nestor too his chance that the two children were distracted to bring Bruno and the leader of the Peace Keepers away. He pushed their back.
"This is all wrong. I know he thought Malefor was his dad, but I was sure you would change his mind by then," Titan grunted.
Bruno grumbled as he poked the chest of the leader of the Artisan Dragons, "You know he might be in trouble if the Guardian Dragons learned about this."
"I know, but I cannot change his mind. Spyro is really stubborn when he wants too. If he wasn't, we wouldn't be here right now."
The leader of the Beast Makers grunted for a while as he took a few steps away, "You know Malefor is trouble, right?"
"Malefor didn't try to hurt any of us. When he fought, it was because we attacked him," Nestor took a few steps forward and stood with all his height in front of Bruno, "He was the one who offered a way to protect Spyro from the Guardian Dragons."
"W-what? Really?" Titan asked.
"Yes. I know Malefor isn't as evil as we heard," he crossed his arms, "I cannot prove that, but I have to trust Astor on that."
"That old dragon?" Titan winced when he was wacked in the head.
Astor grumbled, "Want me to wack you more? I raised him as my son and I did everything to be certain he was a good dragon. I know him better than you. Want me to insult your blood child because of what I heard?"
The orange dragon growled quietly, before backing away, "Fine! I'll hold my tongue, but I'll keep him under watch. He better not try anything weird."
"Fine," the green dragon agreed.
They returned to the other dragons and went on to their next destination.
Chapter 45: The Twin Fire Dragon Beasts
The Sorceress grunted loudly as the dragons were still alive. It was getting infuriating that she, herself, failed to stop the dragons. She tapped her hand with her scepter, "I need to get rid of them once and for all! I need to make them suffer. I can't believe they are still alive!"
Demitrious and Bianca gazed at teach other's nervously. They were afraid that they might suffer from her anger.
The Sorceress came back at them, "I learned that they are going to the Fireworks Factory," she stopped and chuckled, "I forgot. They are two powerful beasts ready to crush them. Those are fast and powerful. Not only that, but they can adapt from any sudden changes. Smarter than the others. Maybe a little weaker, but more efficient. Demitrious, you will activate those beasts. Bianca, I want the purple dragon to deal with the beast alone."
"Right," they replied.
Bianca felt hesitant to murder a young dragon like that, especially in front of his parents. Still, it was for the best. She stood up and casted her teleporting spell to go there with Demitrious.
The Sorceress chuckled, "This time, that little dragon will die. The others will follow soon," she walked away, "And then, we can focus on the eggs."
The dragons reached the Fireworks Factory. Spyro eyes expanded as he looked around. The castle they saw looked so strange for him. It was one he never saw before.
"W-what is this place?" the youngling asked as he took the lead.
"This is the Fireworks Factory, based on what the portal said," Zoe replied.
Sparx commented that the castle looked weird. The place was strange.
Astor sobbed, "This… I know many fireworks were made here."
Nestor remembered what profession of Ignitus was, "Surely it once belonged to the Artisan Dragons," he crossed his arms as his mind wandered to the past. He sighed as he gazed at the others, "Let's move on. We need to find where Malefor is."
Most dragons weren't that excited about it.
Flame heard something and was ready to fight, "Who's there?"
"It's us!" Hansel and Agent Zero joined them. They humans waved at them and stood by their side.
"We searched for agent Greta. We know she is free and we will regroup before we continue to save the eggs," the man told them as he crossed his arms.
"Sis is somewhere. At least, she is with a good dragon," the boy told them.
The adult dragons, except the mauve dragon, grumbled uncertainly. Nestor was the least hesitant of those dragons.
"We are searching for them too," the purple dragon told them with a smile.
"Let's go together," Agent Zero concluded.
The group concluded this and talked together. They walked forward together as they searched for the Fireworks Factory.
Meanwhile, Malefor and Greta searched for the dragons. They were on the top of a tower and looked around.
"You see any of them?" the human asked while she checked on her binoculars. She just saw the Rhynocs.
The dark purple dragon nodded negatively, "I saw none of them," he sat down. He slowly breath. He regained his breath as he checked on his bracelet. The power of that Forbidden Artifact was asking a lot of his magic. He had a lot, but it drained a lot. He regenerated his magic as he slowly breathed. He gazed at the girl, "Tell me if you see something."
"Why are you breathing that slowly? Are you meditating? Because I need you to help me look around," Greta asked curiously.
"Yes. The magic I used against those Rhynocs is asking me a lot," he replied.
"Guess being awesome in a battle has a price," she commented. She gasped when she saw two things going towards an arena, "Something weird is going on here and- Agent Zero. Do you see those two serpents flying in the air?"
"Y-yes," the man replied to her.
Malefor was on high alert and searched for what made the human panicked. He saw two serpent-like beings who flew towards a location. He didn't know where it was going. He was ready as he opened his wings, "We are going after it."
"O-okay. We will stalk it!" Greta told him.
"Okay. We get ready, because it's coming at us!" Agent Zero replied.
Greta jumped on the back of the dragon as they flew after the two things.
Spyro took the lead as he went towards the two serpents being coming at them. The others were behind and told him to slow down.
Flame tried to catch with the youngling and panted, "Damn he is tireless."
Sparx held on the horn of his friend and tried to convince him to slow down. It could be dangerous.
"We have no time. That thing might attack everyone here and the eggs," the purple dragon replied.
He entered into something that looked like an arena.
Bianca saw the dragon entering first and alone. She quickly casted her spell and created a barrier around the entire arena.
The dragons and humans stopped when the barrier came around it.
"Spyro!" Nestor yelled.
The youngling turned around and saw the barrier.
"Hahahaha! We caught you alone once again child!" someone yelled at the child.
He gazed up and saw Bianca and Demitrious. The Rhynoc had a cruel smirk at him while the apprentice sorceress gazed at the side. She didn't feel proud of it and seemed to regret her action.
"It is time for you to die, right in front of your parents," Demitrious laughed loudly as he pointed his finger at him.
"You think you can get me bad guys?" Spyro asked back.
"Spyro! Don't try to fight them! It's coming!" Nestor punched the barrier with everything he had, but it wasn't working.
"It won't work," Bianca told the dragons, "It's not only my magic. The Sorceress reinforced it herself."
They heard something grunting loudly in the sky.
The dragons and humans raised their head and saw the two serpent beings came towards them.
Agent Zero didn't recognise what was coming at them, "What is that?"
The two things flew down.
Bruno immediately knew what it was, "Two Beasts. They are using two more once again," he dropped on his knees.
The young dragon saw the two things getting closer to him. He heard a loud explosion and Handel was inside the barrier, "H-Handel?"
"I used a gadget to break the barrier, but it is back intact once again now," he pointed at it.
Everyone outside of the barrier gazed at him.
Zantor grumbled, "You could have told us about it."
"O-oh," he nervously scratched the back of his head, "Anyway, those things are flying and you cannot reach them," he pointed at something to the right, "That!"
The boy rushed towards it. Spyro followed him as he noticed something on a platform. He saw some fireballs coming at him. He rushed quickly as the explosions were behind him. He jumped in the air while the boy used a grappling hook to reach the top of it.
They stopped when they watched what it was.
"This is a magical platform," Handel said. He pressed on his communication device and said to someone, "I found one platform with a wing and a flame thing draw on it. What is it?"
Spyro heard the reply in his own headset, "This is surely a magical platform made by the Magic Crafters. It will allow any dragons to be able to fly and reinforce their magical fire breathing ability."
"So, I can use it to fly and face those things," the purple dragon declared. He raised his head and gaze at those. He would have a better view when he would fly in the air. Still, it would be the first time for a while that he would fly by magical means and not by his own. He wished he could fly anything he wished for soon.
"You better do it now, because they are coming!" Handel pointed at the two things before he jumped out of the way.
Spyro traversed the platform and felt power surging through him. He felt extremely light as he began to fly in the air. He kept his wings opened as only magic allowed him to fly. His horns and some part of his scales turned to the color of fire, yellow, orange and red. He quickly charged at the two beasts.
"We know nothing of those Beast," Agent Zero warned him.
"What's going on?" Greta asked.
"Spyro is fighting two beasts on his own. We can't help because of that! Damn! Barrier!" Titan furiously yelled.
"Were almost here," the girl replied.
Spyro chose to ignore them as the beasts were near him now.
The first one was a red fire serpent-like dragon with dark purple eyes and two pair of horns. The other one looked similar, but he had green eyes and his scales were dark purple. They both had whiskers on their face.
The small purple dragon avoided their fireballs coming at him. He yelped when one of them flew in front of him and the other one was behind him. He escaped their attack by going down. He turned around and noticed they were chasing him. Not only that, they tried to prevent him from flying up. He knew they were intelligent and it was dangerous.
Sparx suggested to pass between them, maybe they wouldn't expect him to do that.
Spyro nodded as he continued to fly around the arena where he was trapped in. He reached the wall at the end and ran on it, accelerating his speed. Fireballs exploded around him before he suddenly turned around and charged at them. He sent as much fireballs as he could at those evil serpentine dragons and a few exploded on their body, causing some minor damages at them. He passed between them without anything preventing him to continue flying high up in the air. He slowed down when he was about to leave the arena. He saw the barrier stopping him from escaping and his flying ability began to diminish. He knew the range of his current power was extremely limited.
He flew back down and saw them coming at him.
Sparx buzzed that it might not be a good idea to try the same thing again. He feared that those beasts might be smart as they worked together to take him down.
"Yeah," the purple dragon replied. He saw them surrounding him once again. He closed his wings and flew down with the two chasing him and breathing fireballs at the youngling.
The young one dodged anything coming at him the best he could. He went up to avoid more. After a minute of dodging any attacks, him and his companion realised something bad.
Sparx gulped when they were surrounded by those two serpentine dragon beasts.
The two looked around and searched for an escape route.
The two beasts opened their mouth, preparing to launch a huge fireball.
On the ground, Nestor scales paled as he punched the wall with everything he could. He yelled with everything from his lungs, "SPYROOOOOO!"
The beasts released their power and a large explosion followed as it reached the purple dragon.
The dragons and humans watched it.
The Carpenter was shaken by this. He was shaking and dropped on his knees, "N-no. No. Nononono!" he punched the barrier as tears came out of his eyes. He weakly whimpered, "Spyro. No. Not you."
Everyone dropped their head. After a few seconds, Zantor raised his head and raised his claw, "Look!"
The others raised their head. Astor tapped the shoulder of Nestor, who still had his head down, "Look up!"
The green dragon raised his head, his eyes were pale and lifeless for a few seconds. However, when he saw it, his sorrow immediately went away and the light of life returned.
In the air, away from the two beasts, a large dark purple dragon held a young purple dragon and the dragonfly in his arms.
Spyro opened his eyes and gazed up, "Malefor."
"Sorry I was late Spyro," Malefor replied.
AC: This is the end of this chapter. I hope you enjoyed it.
Next Chapter: Two Dragons Vs Two Beasts.
Malefor used a chance to pass the barrier to save Spyro. After this, Spyro and Malefor fought together to defeat the two beasts.
