I disclaim Xiaolin Showdown and all its characters, I in no way profit by writing this fanfiction.
(though, If I DID own XS, Chack would totally be canon and there would be a LOT more seasons, lol)
hope you enjoy the story!
Hello, everybody.
So, after our last conversation, I have waited to see what the general consensus is.
While some of you have said that writing a detailed summary would probably be the best solution, the overwhelming majority has declared that I should continue to update on my own time.
So, I will continue to update the story as usual.
We've come a long way together, and so help me, this story WILL be finished eventually. I wish my brain was in a better place so I could update on a regular basis, but mental health and depression don't work like that
but rest assured my lovelies, the story WILL be finished.
Here is a preview for what will be coming up in the next chapter (I'll try to have it up before the end of March, but at the LATEST, I'll have it put out by Easter.
Enjoy the Sneak Peak!
Jack presented the sword to Chase, holding it out on the flat of his palms, the blade sparkling in the sunlight, reflecting off of the chestplate of the dragonlord
"So..." Jack muttered "I took your suggestion and made a weapon out of my metal... What do you think?" He asked hopefully, and expectant expression on his face.
Chase took the weapon into his hands, examining the blade with a critical eye "Hmm...it certainly LOOKS attractive..." he said, admiring the appearance of the thing. "It gives off the impression of Damascus steel...So, full marks on aesthetics..." he grasped the blade in hands, taking several steps back "Let's see how it performs..." He said, closing his eyes as he centered himself. A gentle wind rustled the leaves of the nearby trees, brushing the black-green hairs off of Chase's broad shoulders. After several seconds, there was silence...Followed by the sound of a branch hitting the ground as Chase jumped into the air, slicing a thick branch off of the tree.
"...The balance is nearly perfect..." he said as he examined the sword again "A few grams too heavy on the right...But perfectly functional" he said, handing it back to the goth with a pleased look on his face " Well done, Spicer. Your progress is coming along VERY well...I'm impressed by the speed at which you've been able to advance... With enough time, I'd dare say that the Xiaolin monks will soon have reason to take you seriously for once..." he chuckled as he folded his hand behind his back and headed inside
Jack did a fist pump when he back was turned "Yes...! Haha!" Jack grinned looking excited for a moment...before he froze, frowning "Hey, wait a minute. What was that last part?" he asked, crossing his arms with a scowl on his face
Chase gave a shameless smirk and chuckled darkly "It was a compliment, Jack"
"Uh-huh...SURE..."
See you in the next update!
