Episode Summary:
Anna remembers her past and the Winchesters finally understand why Castiel and Uriel want her dead. However, they disagree with the angels' orders and try to help Anna restore an important part of her past so she can be saved. Meanwhile, Alastair his demons continue to close in on Anna and the Winchesters.
"Why the hell do you guys want Anna dead?" Angel scowled at them as she shook her head, "That doesn't make any sense."
Uriel stepped forward ignoring her, "Out of the way."
"Whoa, whoa, whoa." Dean stepped in, "Okay, I know she's wire tapping your angel chats or whatever, but it's no reason to gank her."
"Don't worry." Uriel smirked, "I'll kill her gentle."
Angel scoffed in disgust, "You're sick, you know that?"
"You're some heartless sons of bitches, that's for sure."
"As a matter of fact, we are." Cas glared at Dean, "And?"
"And?" Sam repeated, "Anna's an innocent girl."
"She is far from innocent."
"What's that supposed to mean?"
"It means she's worse than this abomination you've been screwing." Uriel advanced on Dean and Angel again, "Now, give us the girl."
"Sorry. Get yourself another one." Dean tensed beside his sister, but still managed a snarky smile, "Try JDate."
"Who's gonna stop us? You three? Or this demon whore?"
Uriel threw Ruby against the wall with a flick of his hand. The Winchesters all split off to square up against the two angels. Dean went after Uriel as Sam and Angel blocked Cas from going after Anna.
"Cas stop." Sam put his hands up, "Please."
Castiel smiled at him softly before touching his forehead with his fingers. Sam's eyes rolled back and he fell to the ground unconscious. Angel's eyes widened but she backed up from Cas as he walked towards her.
"Look Cas, you've gotta be the more sane one in the group, huh?" He continued advancing, "No?"
She dodged him when he lifted his hand to touch her forehead as well. As she went to spin kick him he used his powers to fling her into a nearby wall. Suddenly a bright light engulfed Cas and Uriel making them disappear from the dinghy cabin. Dean looked around in shock as Angel freed herself from the debris of the drywall.
"What the hell was that?"
Dean quickly helped her to her feet, "Come on."
Ruby knelt by Sam, who started to stir, as Dean and Angel ran to the back room. They found Anna with her hands and arms covered in her own blood from cutting herself.
"Anna!" Angel gasped as they ran over to her and saw she had used her blood to draw sigils on the wall, "Holy shit."
"Are they-" Anna looked up at them with wide eyes, "Are they gone?"
Dean wrapped her wound with his handkerchief, "Did you kill them?"
"No. I sent them away… far away."
"Great. And, uh…" Angel looked the sigils over, "How, exactly, did you do that?"
"That just popped in my head." She looked at the sigil and shook her head, "I don't know how I did it. I just did it."
Later on…
Dean looked between his siblings, "So, what do you think?"
Sam smirked, "I think Anna's getting more interesting by the second."
"Seriously." Angel agreed, "Being on the angel hit list? Gotta be a heavy hitter."
"Yeah, i agree." Dean nodded, "And what did they mean by 'she's not innocent'?"
"It seems like they want her bad, and not just 'cause of the angel radio thing. I mean, that blood spell- Some serious crap, man."
"Alright, well there's definitely something going on with here. We need to find what we can scrounge up." Angel instructed, "Sooner or later those jerkwads are gonna make another appearance. We gotta get ourselves safe now."
Inside Bobby's panic room…
Angel walked into the small room where Anna was sitting in a chair looking scared out of her mind. The hunter offered her the most comforting smile she could manage as Anna looked up at her. Anna seemed to feel more at ease with Angel than either of her brothers so the blonde made sure to stay close so she felt as comfortable and safe as she could feel.
"You're safe here, Anna." Angel moved to kneel in front of her, "Our guy has this room padded with iron walls and drenched in salt. Demons can't even touch it in their dreams."
Ruby stood outside the open door, "Which I find racist, by the way."
Angel raised a brow at her, annoyed, "Do you need something?"
The demon simply tossed Angel a hex bag from outside the room, "Here."
"Hex bags?"
"Extra-crunchy. They'll hide us from angels, demons, all comers. I gave one to the boys too."
"Thanks, Ruby." They stared at each other for a beat before she turned back to Anna and handed one off to her, "Don't lose this." Taking it Anna smiled smally at Angel, her gaze lingering on the blonde a moment too long for mere friendliness, "So, anything useful playing on that angel radio of yours?"
"It's quiet." She shook her head, "Dead silence."
"Oh…" Angel sighed as she tried not to sound too worried even though that set major alarm bells, "That's certainly not troubling at all…"
"We're in trouble, huh?" Her eyes snapped up to Angels, "You guys are scared?"
"Not really." Angel lied, giving a smile and a wink, "You know us, well you've heard of us. When do we get scared?"
Sam called out to her from the other room, "Hey, Ang!"
Dean was next, "C'mere a sec."
"Just stay here, okay? You'll be safe. I promise." She squeezed Anna's hand before walking to Ruby on her way to the boys, "Keep an eye on her."
Ruby smirked, "Young love brewing?"
"Did I ask for the commentary?" Angel quipped over her shoulder before walking into Bobby's dining room, "What did you get and do either of you know where the hell Bobby's at?"
"Uh, the Dominican." Dean answered, "He said we break anything, we buy it."
"The Dominican?" Angel's eyebrows rose, impressed, "Fancy. He's working a job?"
"God, I hope so. Otherwise, he's at hedonism in a banana hammock and a trucker cap."
"Okay, I so did not need that seared into my brain." Angel grimaced, "What did you two find on Anna?"
"Uh, not much." Sam started, "Her parents were, uh, Rich and Amy Milton. They were a church deacon and a housewife."
"Riveting I know." Dean looked up, "But there is something here in the report. Turns out this latest psych episode wasn't her first."
"No?"
"Nope." Sam took over, "When she was 2 ½ she'd get hysterical any time her dad got close. She was convinced that he wasn't her real daddy."
Dean laughed, "Personally i think there was a little snaking the pipes involved with the plumber…"
Angel gave him an unimpressed look as Sam scoffed, "Dude, you're confusing reality with porn again." He shook his head getting back to business, "Look, Anna didn't say. She just kept repeating that this real father of hers was mad. Very mad, like wanted-to-kill-her mad."
Angel raised a brow, "And she was 2 saying all this?"
"That's what i said. Kind of heavy for a 2-year-old."
"Well, she saw a kid's shrink, got better, and grew up normal."
"Until now." Dean countered, "So, what's she hiding?"
Annas voice cut from behind them, filled with offense, "Why don't you just ask me to my face?"
Angel whipped around and glared at Ruby who sauntered up behind Anna, "I told you to watch her."
"I'm watching her."
"No, you're right, Anna." Sam agreed, "Is there anything you want to tell us?"
"About what?"
"The angels…" Angel started, looking her over, "They said you were guilty of something. Why would they say that?"
"You tell me. Tell me why my life has been leveled… Why my parents are dead. I don't know. I swear! I would give anything to know."
"Okay." Sam sighed heavily, "Then let's find out."
Anna frowned, "How?"
Later on…
Dean led Pamela down the stairs earning everyone's attention, "We're here!"
"Pamela!" Sam grinned and tried to sound nonchalant as he quickly went to greet them, "Hey!"
Angel grinned and shook her head from beside Anna at that. She could tell that was his 'I'm into you so i'm trying not to make myself look or sound like a total doofus' voice. Pamela would so eat him alive.
Pamelas voice sounded light, "Sam?"
"It's me." He put a hand on her shoulder, still grinning like an idiot, "It's Sam."
"Sam is that you?"
"Yeah."
"Oh." Pamela caressed his face, "Know how I can tell?" Her hand traveled lower to grab his ass, earning smiles all around, "That perky little ass of yours. You could bounce a nickel off that thing." She laughed, "Of course I know it's you, grumpy. Same way I know that's a demon," She pointed to Ruby then to Angel, "That gorgeous piece of sexual attraction over there is Angel." Angel grinned again, shaking her head, "And that poor girl's Anna. Oh and that you've been eyeing my rack."
"Uh… uh…" Sam's eyes widened as he stuttered, "Uh…"
"Actually… I was staring at your rack." Angel sauntered over to her happily, "Sorry, old habits. When it comes to the ladies, I can't ever be domesticated. Especially when they look like you, Pam."
Sam and Dean both looked between them with wide eyes as Pam grinned and reached out for the blonde, "Oh, I love that." As Angel took her hand, Pamela turned her head to smirk at Sam, "Don't sweat it, kiddo. I still got more senses than most."
"Hey, Anna." Pamela moved from Angel to the redhead, "How are you? I'm Pamela."
Anna smiled shyly, "Hi."
"Dean told me what's been going on. I'm excited to help."
"Oh. That's nice of you."
"Oh, well, not really." She shrugged, "Any chance I can dick over an angel, I'm taking it."
Anna frowned, "Why?"
"They stole something from me." Pamela took off her sunglasses to reveal fake white eyes, "Demon-y, I know. But they're just plastic. Good for business. Makes me look extra-psychic, don't you think?" She chuckled, making Anna chuckle as well, "Now… how about you tell me what your deal is? Hmm?" She put a hand around Anna and patted her shoulder, "Don't you worry."
Inside the panic room…
"Nice and relaxed." Pamela cooed as Anna laid down on the bed, "Now, I'm going to count down from five to zero. When we're at zero, you'll be in a deep state of hypnosis. As I count down, just go deeper and deeper, okay? 5… 4… 3… 2… 1. Deep sleep. Deep sleep. Every muscle calm and relaxed. Can you hear me?"
Anna responded sounding calm and relaxed as instructed, "I can hear you."
"Now, Anna, tell me… How can you hear the angels? How did you work that spell?"
"I don't know. I just did."
"Your father… What's his name?"
"Rich Milton."
"Alright. But I want you to look further back… When you were very young… Just a couple of years old."
"I don't want to."
"It'll be okay. Anna, just one look. That's all we need."
Her facial features became tense as she shook her head, "No."
Angel looked to Dean, panic rising, "This seem a little familiar in a bad sort of way to you?"
He nodded grimly as Pamela went on.
"What's your dad's name? Your real dad. Why is he angry at you?"
"No. No! No." Anna screamed and thrashed around, "No!"
"Calm down."
She screamed louder, "He's gonna kill me!"
"Anna, you're safe." The lights exploded as she screamed again and glass shattered around them, "Calm down."
"He's gonna kill me!"
"It's alright, Anna."
"Anna?" Angel frowned and stepped towards her as she thrashed around harder and harder, "Anna, you're okay."
Pamela held out a hand, "Angel don't."
Anna used a supernatural force to psychically toss Angel across the room. With a pained gasp, she hit the wall hard and crumpled to the floor. Sam and Dean were immediately at her side.
Angel groaned as they helped her up, "Jeeze."
Dean steadied her, "Are you okay?"
"No. That freakin' hurt."
"Wake in 1, 2, 3, 4, 5." Pamela got up and touched Anna's forehead, "Anna… Anna? You alright?"
Anna's eyes flickered open and she stood up, "Thank you, Pamela." Her voice was level, all fear and uncertainty gone, "That helps a lot. I remember now."
Sam frowned, "Remember what?"
"Who I am."
"I'll bite." Dean motioned, "Who are you?"
"I'm an angel."
At that revelation Pamela backed up to the other three as they all stiffened and gaped at her in shock.
