What if Saitama didn't kill all the monsters he came across?

We find ourselves in Z City, where Saitama, now officially Caped Baldy, was in the middle of cutting coupons with a grin on his face that would seem creepy to some people.

"I finally managed to get them. These once a month coupons that are guaranteed to help cut costs. I have my list all made, and now with these, I'm gonna be able to splurge all night." He chuckled, looking at his 'prize'. "I'll be eating good tonight."

"Master!"

"What is it Genos? I'm in the middle of something important."

"Master, you have guests, but I believe that they may be hostile." Frowned Genos, wearing an apron.

"Tell them to leave, I'm about to head out for shopping."

"I don't think that would be wise, master, I think you should take a look for yourself." Genos said as he gestured to the peephole in the door.

Saitama sighed before getting up and walked over to look through the hole. He blinked as he saw several familiar figures, familiar monsters to be exact. He saw, Vaccine man, Crablante, Mosquito girl, and various other old foes of his crowded in the hallway. He blinked and rubbed his eye before looking back through, saw they were still there, and rubbed his eye again. "Genos?"

"Yes master?"

"Why are there dozens of monsters waiting to see me?"

"I don't know master, but I'm prepared to deal with them right away." he spoke with a ready stance.

"Hold that thought." he unlocked the door and opened it, looking at the monsters with a blank look. "Yes?"

The monsters were silent, most of them looking nervous before Mosquito girl stepped forward.

"Lord Saitama, please let me be your underling!" She spoke quickly bowing down against the floor, making him blink slowly.

"Huh?"

"I've reformed, please let be your underling, I'll follow only you and do whatever you want!" She said as the others nodded, starting to regain their courage.

"Me too! I wanna learn how to be strong!" spoke Crablante bowing his head right against the floor.

"Me as well, your strength surpasses that of even the earth!" Vaccine Man added as the others began to nod as well.

"...how did you all even find me?" He asked confused.

"We found your address from the hero website." spoke Crablante holding a phone that showed the site before it broke due to his claw. "Damn it! Not again."

"My address?" Saitama held his chin in thought. "Huh, I think I remember putting it down when I went to try out."

"It's standard procedure for all heroes officially licensed master." spoke Genos.

'Huh, I guess that's why they never found me before.' He thought while Genos glared at the monsters.

"Master, shall I exterminate these monsters?"

"Just try it tincan, I'm not the same woman I used to be." Frowned Mosquito Woman.

"Nah, don't kill them, they aren't doing anything wrong." Saitama said casually. He looked back at the monsters and crossed his arms. "What exactly are you all doing here? After what happened, I wouldn't imagine you'd wanna come find me again."

"Well, yes, but then after a bit we all realized how kind you were, you could have killed us all easily with one punch, yet you went out of your way to leave us alive, to give us a chance to redeem ourselves!"

Genos looked at Saitama with confusion with said hero holding his chin. "Master, I thought you killed the bug woman?"

"Actually, it went a bit different than you might remember." She said with a smile. "While I was injured he mostly slapped what was left of my swarm, turning them into a pulp, and merely sent me flying away."

'I actually thought I did kill her.' thought Saitama to himself as Genos turned to Vaccine Man.

"I thought you were a monster made by the Earth itself to kill all of humanity. I read about you from a news report, but it sounded like master killed you, so how are you still alive?"

"I have the power to regenerate as long as enough of me is left, and Master Saitama only took off my arms when his punch could have disintegrated me. This was a sign from the earth herself that humanity is not ready to be annihilated, that I must follow master Saitama's example!" He declared with a fist against his chest before Genos turned to the crab monster.

"From what master told me, you should be completely dead in a gruesome pile of guts."

"I sucked them back in, a skill I learned from sucking out crab meat."

'That means I could have died back then.' Thought Saitama with a sweatdrop remembering the moment. 'I was really lucky.'

"So Master never killed any of you, he never killed any monsters?"

"Well, there was that giant guy from a few weeks back, but he was destroying entire cities, so we understand."

"Master?"

"Uh…..I was….obviously not serious, so it makes sense." remarked Saitama with a grin and hand on his chin. 'Now I feel like an idiot.'

"If you've all lost to master in the past, why are you coming to him now, why do you want to be his underlings?"

"It's a basic survival logic robot. It's better to follow the powerful and learn under them, than to become their prey and enemy."

"Well you are too late, master already has a disciple." Spoke Genos with a thumb pointed to himself.

"So? Who says he can't have multiple disciples?!" The Mosquito Girl protested.

"I did, especially since you are monsters who would more than likely strike master Saitama when his guard is down."

"You think we would dare do that?! We know how strong he is now, to try to strike at him now would be suicide!"

"I didn't get my crabby body back together just to end up in pieces all over again!"

"Oi, can we wrap this up?" Saitama spoke up waving his hand. "I have to go get groceries."

"Master Saitama, let us become your disciples and followers!"

"...no." Saitama said as he began to close the door.

"Wait!" they cried out as it was shut.

"Genos, I'll be back with groceries."

"I'll make sure the pot is ready and warmed up by the time you get back."

"Saitama, please, just hear us out, give us a chance!" Mosquito girl cried out as the others protested.

"Leave, please just leave." spoke Saitama.

"What? Come on, just hear me out master Saitama!" called the monster knocking on the door. "Just five minutes is all I'm asking!"

"...fine, only because you won't leave until you get to talk." Relented the man opening the door. "Go ahead."

"Thank you master Saitama." Said Mosquito Girl with a smile.

"So why can't you find someone else to follow? I'm not looking for followers." he remarked while sitting at the table.

"But you're so strong and awesome! I've never met someone as strong as you were master!" she spoke up with praise before looking down. "Even with my swarm I could never get that far. No matter how much blood I sucked up it wouldn't be enough to best you. You could have killed me then and there, but you didn't."

'Mainly because I couldn't really see through all those bugs.' Saitama idly thought while keeping his mouth shut. "Well I was just showing mercy so you would stop being a criminal, not so you could try to convince me to be the leader of all monsters." He replied trying to sound smooth. 'I just wanted to be able to fight longer and have people survive my punches!'

"If you let me, I'll be a great follower master. Just name it and I'll do it."

"No, just go."

"Aw come on, I'll do anything, anything!" She pleaded while getting on her knees. "Just say what you want and I'll go to the ends of the earth to get it for you!"

"Ugh, fine, go to the supermarket and get me some food, they're having a sale." relented Saitama with a sigh. 'If I don't get her to do something she might stick around.'

"Yes master Saitama, I will get the food for you!"

"Don't forget these." He held some coupons.

"What for? Wait, did you want me to pay?"

"Well yeah." he replied without changing his expression.

"But I don't use money, I could easily scare the humans off and have my swarm bring in plenty of food for you."

"Then get a job, no committing crimes in the city." He said blandly.

"Bu-but I don't want to get a job!" she frowned. "What kind of self respecting monster bows to humans and gets a job?"

"Then do something else, but no stealing." he spoke while looking at the TV as Mosquito Girl looked at him in bafflement.

'I don't get it, how can a human this strong want to follow the laws and use money? With his strength he could take what he wanted and no one could stop him.' She thought as she scratched her head. 'Unless... he's biding his time, waiting for the right opportunity!'

'I hope she doesn't cause much problems down there.' he thought as she flew off with the coupons while he shut the door.

"So, what did he say?" Crablante said, the other monsters looking at her expectantly.

"He wants me to go to the supermarket and pay for groceries."

"Pay? Do you even have any money?"

"No, and he said to get a job!" She groaned. "Does anyone have money for the groceries? If we get them he'll let us be his disciples!"

"I use to have a job, but that was before I turned into this." Remarked Crablante snapping his claws.

"I have no use for the monetary gain humans use. The earth itself provides all the sustenance for life to live off." Spoke Vaccine Man.

"I have some cash." One bland monster spokeup. "I saw it and thought it was food at first, is this enough?"

"It'll have to be!" She spoke before flying off as the monsters followed. "We have to get everything on the list!"

"Right, let's go!"

"Let's tell the big guys outside the good news!"

All of them raced out of the hall and down the stairs, where near the apartment was a crowd of various other familiar looking monsters.

(Supermarket)

"Ah, today feels perfect." smiled a store clerk stacking the shelves. "I got plenty of rest, had a filling breakfast, found a lucky yen bill on the way here, and I'm ready to propose to my girlfriend after work."

Overall, it seemed like today couldn't go wrong.

Suddenly the ground began to lightly shake, making the clerk look around in confusion. The stuff on the shelves began to slowly fall off, with other shoppers noting the feeling too.

"What the hell?" They muttered as they turned to the glass front entrance and paled as they saw a massive horde of monsters charging towards the store. They broke out into a sweat as the monster all stopped outside, looking inside through the windows with every shopper paling in horror at seeing the various shapes and sizes. Some fell to their knees, believing this was it as some began to cry, only to be shocked as the horde stopped and began to slowly file into the store. Which was hard given some of the sizes.

"Puny human, tell us where we can find these items." Ordered Vaccine Man shoving the list in front of the clark's face.

"T-They're all over the store, i-i-i-in the produce section for the vegetables and fruit…" Stammered out the employee.

"Good, you shall not be dealt with, for now." He spoke as the smaller monsters moved around the store. "You shall also accept these coupons entrusted to us."

"O-Ok!"

"Good, and for payment….do you accept these flimsy paper things or gold?"

"P-P-P-Paper works." he let out, shaking and sweating, feeling like this was his last moment of living.

"Good, now the rest of you hurry, master Saitama must not be kept waiting!"

"We're going as fast as we can!" Mosquito Girl snapped. "You, human, relinquish that ham, it's half off!"

"Ahhh!" screamed the man, dropping it quickly before running away.

"Good move human!: She called as she grabbed the meat.

"I got the lettuce!" Crablante called.

"Good, now to the register, quickly!"

At this point the humans had run out in terror, minus a clerk at the register who was shaking like a leaf as the numerous items were put down and was feeling tiny in front of the monsters who put the coupons down in front of them.

"So, how much will you demand from us human?"

"F-F-F-F-F-F-Free." they squeaked out in terror.

"Really?" Vaccine Man asked as he tilted his head. "I thought we had to use money?"

"T-T-Take whatever you want, just don't kill me!" they begged.

"We won't kill you huma-"

"J-Just take what you want and leave!"

"Ok….then can I also have this treat?" Mosquito Girl asked as she picked up a soda.

"Yes!"

"And this?"

"Yes!"

"And-"

"Yes, yes, take anything you like!"

By the time the crowd had left the mart, they were carrying well over half the products while marching down the street.

"That was fun! Master Saitama is going to be so proud of us!"

"It's more than what the list had, but now he won't have to worry about running low on food for months now."

"Yeah, he's going to be so happy, he'll have to accept us as disciples after this!"

(Later)

Saitama stared at the pile of items in front of his door while looking at Mosquito Girl, Vaccine Man, and Crablante who looked pleased. "How much did this all cost you?"

"None, the man said it was all free!" Mosquito Girl said happily.

He gave them a flat look. "Did you steal it?"

"What?! No! We offered to pay and he said we could have it for free!" Vaccine Man added. "He seemed very pale though, he may have been suffering from a sickness."

"...you all intimidated him and made him think you would kill him if he didn't give you this stuff for free." Saitama said flatly with Mosquito Girl rubbing her chin with her arm.

"Hmm, that would explain things."

"That was bad, you did the opposite of what I asked." He said, making them all freeze. "If you steal this much stuff, you'll end up inconveniencing a lot of people." 'And make me feel like I'm part of a protection racket. I couldn't hold half this stuff in the fridge.'

"W-We didn't know, we'll do better next time, we swear!"

"Yeah!"

Saitama sighed. "Try and put back the stuff that wasn't on the list, and make sure to leave the money to pay for them too."

"Yes master Saitama!" They called as they grabbed the extra items.

"A-Are we still your disciples?" Mosquito Girl asked nervously.

"...eh, what the heck, sure."

"Yes!" They cheered in joy.

'Eh, what's the worst that could happen?'

(Timeskip)

Knock knock

"Who is it?" Saitama walked to the door and opened it to reveal a twin headed dog with a snake tail and messy hair.

"Oh great master Saitama, I have come to bring you the newspaper." Spoke the heads in unison before the snake tail dropped a newspaper down.

"Huh, thanks." Saitama said as he reached down to grab the paper. "Good dogs."

"We'll get back to guarding the area." smiled the heads before they ran off, the snake tail giving off a bark as they left as Saitama closed the door.

"Who was it master?" Genos called from the kitchen.

"Just a two headed dog with the paper."

"Ah, Orthus, right?"

"I think so." he sat down to read the paper as Genos was cleaning the dishes.

"Did he slobber over the paper? If so, I could go out and discipline him." Remarked the cyborg making a fist.

"Nah, it's dry." he replied looking across some articles. "Hmm, wonder if there's anything good."

"Master… I have to ask, is this really such a good idea, ever since you've started taking in more disciples, well...the city is starting to change." Genos walked out while drying his hands.

"Has it? I haven't had much of a chance to pay attention. That dine and dasher helped keep my focus." remarked Saitama with a proud tone, given how he came REAL close to losing his license.

"I bring it up given how much space the Sea King has taken up since he arrived." Remarked Genos as Saitama perked up.

"That reminds me, he said he had something to show me. I better head down to see what it is to get it over with."

"I think I know what it is master, just… prepare yourself."

"You do?" Saitama looked surprised.

"Well, I have an idea, I don't know for sure."

"...should I get my jacket?"

"I don't think so."

(Later)

Saitama walked down the street, which was more cracked up than before, with various kinds of monsters taking up shelter in the nearby buildings, or even holes, going to a huge area that had numerous buildings flooded and looked like a mini ocean with coral already starting to grow on the abandoned homes. "Wow, is this what Sea King wanted to show me?"

Some of the water started to bubble before a large figure burst forth, going up into the air before crashing down in front of Saitama who barely flinched or blinked from the crash as it showed the Sea King with a grin who at first loomed over him before quickly getting down on one knee with his head bowed. "Master Saitama, I am graced with your presence."

"I came by when I remembered you had something to show me."

"Yes, right this way, I want to show you this amazing feast we have made in your honor!"

'Hmm, a feast? That doesn't sound so bad.'

"We shall have sushi, and for the event my underling has volunteered!"

"Oh, is he a chef?" Saitama asked as a large bipedal fish walked forward.

"Not quite." he remarked before snapping his fingers before several more fish people rose up from the water, carrying huge butcher knives.

"Master, I think I know what's about to happen." Genos said with a frown.

"What?"

"I give my life for master Saitama!" Cried out the fish before the other two raised up the blades and brought them down, leading to Saitama grimacing at the bloody scene.

"Ah….sushi, I get it now." Saitama said, looking at the bloody massacre in front of him.

"Would you prefer we leave master?"

"Kinda, this is kinda messed up."

"The meal will be ready in no time." Sea King said proudly as some of the fishmen dragged away the chopped up remains.

"I'm good, we're gonna head out and grab something." spoke Saitama plainly.

"Wha- really? But...the feast?" Sea King sputtered, shocked.

"I don't like to eat things that can talk."

"Oh…..of course, how thoughtless of me. A thousand apologies." He said quickly. 'Crap, why didn't I consider this?!'

"It's alright." Saitama and Genos walked away while walking around the blood splattered spots.

(Later)

"Ah, Genos, may I speak to you for a moment?" Called Bang as Genos was about to leave the hero commission building.

"What do you need?" He asked, pausing.

"I was hoping you could confirm a few strange rumors for me about the city you live in, city Z?"

"What sort of rumors?"

"Well, I've been starting to hear that monsters are running wild in the city, that they outnumber the normal people five to one." He replied with Genos feeling himself go still. "I found it was pretty odd, but figured I'd go ahead and ask you just to double check."

"I can confirm that rumor...is wildly inaccurate." He said, shaking his head. 'The ratios probably closer to 4 monsters for every human.'

"Really? Phew, that's a relief." Smiled Bang. "I thought it was pretty crazy, nobody could ignore that many monsters, they'd stand out too much. I knew it had to be a rumor."

"Yes, it would be quite strange, it is merely a rumor." Genos said as the old man nodded in agreement.

"Well I better be off, sorry to hold you up." Bang called as he walked away. 'Hmmm, I didn't think he'd lie to me, but the official cases on missing people and murders have gone down to nearly none in city Z, so what is he and Saitama doing there?'

Genos walked off, silently sighing in relief on Bang believing him.

(Later)

Saitama was looking around the neighborhood, trying to find any sort of crime to deal with, but coming up empty. 'Why is it so hard to be a hero here?' Saitama wondered, walking past what looked like a vegetable stand manned by a monster.

"Morning master Saitama, may I interest you in some fresh carrots?"

"No thank you, I have some left at home." Saitama called out calmly, walking past like nothing was wrong. He held his hand over his eyes and looked around, not finding any crime being committed still. 'Maybe I'm looking in the wrong areas?'

"Master!" Genos called, making the bald hero turn to him.

"Oh, hey, what's up?"

"I have urgent news to tell you. Bang was asking me if the rumors were true, about Z City being overrun with monsters."

"Well, it's not that bad, is it?" Saitama said as he scratched his cheek, looking around.

"I told him they were just rumors, but it shows people are starting to notice." Genos said with a nod. "It is clear that we can't keep this a secret for much longer."

"Ok." Saitama held his chin and looked up in thought. "Hmmm."

"Master, do you have a plan?"

"Uh…. not really, we don't really have to do anything, the monsters aren't really doing anything, are they?"

"No, for now." Remarked Genos with a frown before they felt the ground shake and crack before a hole burst open with a figure rising up to show an odd helmet with red eyes seen through it, and having an open mouth as part of it.

"Great leader Saitama! Me and my people are ready for a rematch!"

"Huh? Can it wait? I'm busy right now."

"No, I shall wait no long-"

"Hey. don't destroy the road!" Shouted a nearby monster. "Some of us keep tripping over the huge ass cracks."

"Quiet, I shall not be ordered around like this!"

"Fine, if you wanna fight I guess I can punch you." Saitama held up his fist making the being climb up from the hole and try to take a stance without freaking out.

"I have trained myself to know no fear. I shall show you the fruits of my labor and show you I have become the strongest of the Subterranean people!"

"Ok, you asked for it." Saitama sighed as he raised up his fist.

"Y-Yes, bring it!" He spoke up, slightly shaking and feeling dread. 'No, keep it together, you must prove you are strong!'

"Ok, here I come." Saitama said as he started to bring down his fist, only for the monster to scream out in fear.

"Ahhhh!" He cried out before diving back into the hole before raising a white flag. "I give! I give!"

"Ugh, not again." Saitama groaned. "Everytime!"

"If you would like master, I could spar with you." Offered Genos.

"Maybe later, I need to finish my patrol, I need to find some kind of crime to stop."

"Shall I help?"

"Nah, I'm good, besides if you come people will just assume you did it instead of me." he remarked before he took off jogging, only to spot a flying eyeball moving down and hovering next to him as he moved.

"Master Saitama! I bring news! More monsters have arrived seeking you out! They say they want to meet the leader of us all. They want to see what your strength is like."

"Huh? Since when was I the leader?"

"Master...they all call you master, you know that, right?"

"Well yeah, but I figured that was just a nickname." he replied plainly.

"They're waiting master Saitama."

"Fine, fine, what's the worst that could happen?"

(Later)

Saitama rounded a corner and stopped before raising his hand up without missing a beat. "Hi."

"Huh? What's a puny human doing here?" Questioned a huge lion standing on his legs, red eyes, wearing a black shirt and leopard-skin cloth around his waist.

"I'm Saitama, who are you guys?"

"We came to this place when we caught wind that monsters lived here without being bothered. Either those heroes were getting lazy, or there was something keeping them protected, which meant a powerful opponent." Replied the second one being a rhino standing up and dressed in a wrestling uniform. "Are you supposed to be a hero? You barely look like you could get a single point on my grading scale of strength."

"I'm pretty tough." Saitama said, less like a brag and more of a statement of fact, like someone commenting on the weather.

"BAH! The toughest here is me, the Beast King." Proclaimed the lion with a grin showing off his teeth. "I could rip you apart using my pinky toe and not even notice."

"We can fight if you want." Saitama offered, all the monsters who were familiar with his power paling.

"Scatter!" cried out a bird monster before they all started to rush away from the area, which the two new monsters noticed.

"Huh? What's up with them?" The lion asked as Saitama walked forward.

"Who cares." Huffed the rhino stepping up in front of Saitama while clenching his muscles. "Go ahead and give it your best shot, but if you score low on my rating scale, I'll crush you into the ground."

"Ok, please don't die." Saitama said as he cocked back his fist.

"Ha! Now that I'd love to see!" laughed the Beast King.

"Normal punch!" Saitama swung, the rhino's eyes widening as it came close, but he wound up propelled backward instantly, Beast King going wide eyed comically as they saw the monster vanish off into the distance down the road.

"W-What was that?!"

"A normal punch." Remarked Saitama plainly turning to Beast King who broke out in a sweat. "You wanted to fight too, right?"

"N-Now that I think about it I uh...ate something and it's making my stomach upset?" He held the spot and groaned. "Oooh, I don't think I can fight to my fullest right now, oh the pain!"

"Ah, maybe later then." Saitama said, the large cat letting out a sigh of relief. "Now if you'll excuse me I still need to find some crime to stop before the days over."

"Master, I think this could qualify as stopping a crime."

"Really? Neat." Smiled Saitama in relief. "For a second there I was worried I wouldn't make it."

(Later)

"Who are you again?"

"I am Garou!"

"Oh, hi there." Saitama said as he looked him up and down. "Are you selling me something or…"

"I heard this was a city of monsters, and I want in!"

"Ok."

"And if you say no I'll….huh?" He said, pausing. "But...I'm a human?"

"So? Why should that matter? Just don't commit any crimes and you'll be fine." remarked Saitama plainly with Garou blinking and staring at him in surprise.

"Really? That's it?"

"Yeah, just don't go around murdering or stealing and you can live here."

"Hold up." Garou held up his hand and approached Saitama with a suspicious look. "Are you a hero or just some cosplayer?"

"I'm a hero, why?"

Garou narrowed his eyes hearing that while gripping his hands and slowly smirked. "Oh really now? Well that just made my day better."

"Oh, I get it." Spoke Saitama who smirked and held his chin while closing his eyes. "I think I can get what you mean." 'Huh, maybe now someone will want my autograph. I've felt like at least one person would want it eventually.'

"Yes, taste this HERO!" Garou cried as he lashed forward. He brought his hands towards Saitama's face, who still had his eyes closed, but before they could make contact Garou turned and barely managed to jump to the side when a liquid sprayed at him from the side, seeing the liquid hit the ground and burn through it. "Acid?"

"Hey, what the hell do you think you're doing?! Do you have a death wish kid?!" Yelled what looked like a giant venus flytrap with multiple mouths as Garou frowned and stood up.

"What's the big idea?"

"The idea here is I'm keeping you from doing something stupid!" It hissed. "He might not look like much, but that guy is the strongest creature in existence!"

"Huh? What's going on?" Asked Saitama opening his eyes and noticed Garou standing away from him and looking at him with a raised eyebrow. "What? Is there something on my face?"

"No….." Garou said, unsure what to make of Saitama. "Tell me, what rank are you?"

"Mmmm, right now I'm B class I think." Saitama said as he rubbed his chin.

Garou turned to the plant and pointed to the hero. "What makes him so strong?"

"Just trust us on this you idiot!"

"Hey, what are you two talking about?" asked Saitama who felt like he was missing something."

"Oh, nothing Master Saitama, I'm just gonna show the new guy around, ok?" spoke up the plant quickly. "Help him find some good land to claim without getting into a fight with some of the others."

"Ah, ok, sounds good." Saitama said with a nod as he began to wander off.

"Hey wait! I'm not done with you!"

"Just trust me new guy, I'll explain in a bit, but just know out of everyone here he's the last person you want to mess with." the plant spoke while moving past Garou. "Follow me."

"Fine, but I want answers!"

(Later)

"And that is why none of us are in any hurry to piss him off!"

"...that was the stupidest lie I've ever heard."

"It's the truth!"

"Bullshit!" he spat looking at the numerous monsters that surrounded him. "You're telling me some random B hero can take out anything in one punch? Do I look like an idiot to you?"

"It's the truth, I've seen it! Don't believe me? Why don't you try taking one of his punches!"

"Oh please, this puny thing could barely stand a light tap from the boss. Look at him, he's just a puny human."

"Hey, I could take him!" scowled Garou which made the monsters start laughing which pissed him off even more before he clenched his muscles. "You wanna doubt me? Then why don't I start a massacre with all of you?"

"Hey, we're just telling you the truth..hey, I know, ask the boss to spar with you in the desert, then come back and tell us how it went, how 'weak' he was." One monster challenged.

"Yeah, his right hand man Genos became his disciple from what we heard. But if you ask me I could be a better one."

"Ha! You? I'm more suited, I could crush all of you here and not break a sweat."

"Please, we may be strong but it's nothing like the top dogs like Sea King and Kabuto."

At this point Garou left the monsters to their talk and went to where Saitama lived. 'Fine, I'll fight this 'hero', and show him how weak he is!'

(Later)

"So, how did the spar go human?"

Garou panted, looking exhausted and torn up as he fell to his knees with wide eyes, which many of the monsters around felt nostalgic seeing. "He….He…..How…..How is he….NOT a monster?"

"Kid, take it from us, while he may look human, the boss is a monster in every way that counts." One said as the others nodded.

"But how? He doesn't look like a real hero. He just looks like some sap playing dress up."

"Yeah, we all thought the same when we first saw him, and what we figure is that he's stronger than the entire hero association combined. The only reason most of us are alive is that he decided not to kill us." Remarked Phoenix Man who looked down. "If he was determined enough, he could very well crush any and all monsters in the world, and we wouldn't stand a chance, not even if I reincarnated over and over."

"Then… why live under him?!"

"Protection, we play nice and no other hero will touch us, for us monsters he has become OUR hero."

Garou looked down at the floor, suddenly feeling helpless like he did when he was a kid. He didn't stand a chance against some hero that didn't seem all that big compared to the S ranks, and yet he was just a B.

"If it makes you feel better we're pretty sure him being a class B hero is a fluke, he should be class S, number 1."

"Hell yeah!" Chorused numerous others.

"Well… what do I do now?' Garou asked, feeling numb and loss.

"What we did, find an abandoned apartment or piece of land and move in."

"And try not to get on the boss' bad side."

"And avoid hooking up with any of the crazier looking monsters."

Garou gripped his knees before standing up with a firm look and marched back towards Saitama's house. He marched his way into the building, up the stairs, all the way to Saitama's apartment. He gave a loud knock on it and waited before it was opened by Genos.

"Hello, can I help you?"

"I want to speak to him."

"Master Saitama?"

"What?"

"The man you sparred with earlier is here to see you."

"Oh, let him in." He called as Garou prepared himself as he entered, only to see Saitama laying in front of the tv, eating chips. "Yo, what's up?"

Garou got on his knees before bringing his head down on the floor. "Please, train me!"

"Really? Another Genos?" Saitama said with a groan.

"Please, I want to be as strong as you!" he looked up. "I wanna train hard and be the best I can be!"

"Master Saitama already has a disciple." spoke up Genos with annoyance.

"He can have two!"

"No!" Genos shouted. "That is not up to you to decide!"

"I wasn't asking you tincan!"

"I'm not really looking for another disciple, I mean I mainly let Genos be because he pays for rent, an-"

"I'll double it!" Garou cut in quickly.

"...go on."

"I-I'll also pay the grocery bills and utilities!"

Saitama looked up in thought which made Genos glare at Garou.

"Master, if you wish I will pay for those!"

"I won't even live in the apartment, that way you'll still have room, I'll move next door!"

"I'll go further and add on personally cleaning up the area on my own!" Genos added on.

'Are they bidding to be my disciple?' Thought Saitama. 'They sure are desperate, and they're making some really good offers…'

"I'll buy the whole building for you!"

"I'll buy the city!"

Saitama groaned and rubbed his head. "You two are just being ridiculous now."

"Just let me be your disciple, please!"

"Ok." he sighed. "I'll let you."

"T-Thank you! You won't regret this!"

(Later)

"Die you hideous monster!"

"Gah!" Cried a small monster as the hero landed a punch on them. "Why?!"

"Got you now!" Cried a hero using a hammer and knocked a bird monster back, showing a group of them were spread out and fighting any monster they came across.

"Get them all, don't let a single monster escape!" Yelled a hero who had scars on his face and a gatling gun on one arm. "We need to clear them all out to free the city!"

"No, please, just leave us in peace!"

"Help!"

"No, no, please, please no!"

Numerous monsters were taken out, while others who saw this grew angry at seeing their home invaded.

"Haha, you foolish monsters thought you could escape the hero association?! Think again!" Laughed a large hero who cornered what looked like a cat monster who was tightly holding onto a young looking monster. "Say your prayer-gah!"

"Oi, what are you doing here?" Frowned Garou, who had grabbed the back of the hero by the back of the neck, squeezing hard and making the hero groan in pain.

"G-Garou! The human monster! The left hand of the demon king!" Cried one hero who spotted him as Garou hurled the large hero over at the group, kicking dust up and catching the attention of the others.

"Oi, don't you know it isn't very heroic to attack innocents?" The casual tone made the heroes turn as Saitama stood there with his usual expression. "They're just trying to enjoy their day out."

"Master Saitama!" The monsters cried, instantly feeling relieved as the heroes looked at him warily.

"So, you're the leader here, the demon king…"

"EH?! DEMON KING?! Who is calling me that?!" He cried out in shock and disbelief. 'This is the first time I've ever been called that!'

"Everyone, the man who has united an army of monsters, taken over Z city, and from our reports, is a being of power that is impossible to gain if you were a mere human." Spoke Death Gatling stepping forward. "Witness reports also says that they have a clear and smooth head and a tacky outfit."

"Hey! I worked hard on this!" he proclaimed, insulted. "I'm on a budget!"

"It is clear you are a monster masquerading as a human and a hero, the association will make sure to remove you from it's records VILLAIN."

"EHHHH?!" He let out with wide eyes and dropped jaw.

"Tch, so you pests wanna give my boss trouble? Then I guess I'll show you the way out." spoke Garou rotating his shoulder with a grin.

"Bring it on, as a hero it is my duty to put down menaces like you!" He brought his weapon up and started firing a barrage of bullets while the other heroes went after Saitama who was still too stunned to pay attention.

'Remove me….from the records?' He thought, his face going blank as he started to sway.

"Take this!" roared out Heavy Kong bring his fist down against Saitama's head, only to go wide eyed when he saw his fingers had twisted back and howled out in pain as he held his hand. "Ahhhhhhh!"

'But I worked hard….' Saitama thought, lost in a storm of shock and disbelief. 'I'm a hero, not a villain, so why….why?!'

"After a hearty breakfast with lots of milk, I will beat you!" Proclaimed Bone running at Saitama, only to cry out when Genos came flying out, drop kicking him into the pavement.

"Hero or villain, trying to cause trouble for Master Saitama proves who you truly are." spoke the cyborg in a cold tone, with his arrival shocking the heroes already there.

"Wha-Demon Cyborg?! What is the S class hero doing here, defending monsters?!"

"I'm not defending monsters, I'm here on behalf of my master who you have misjudged." he spoke coldly while taking a fighting stance with Saitama stumbling a little, his mind trying to make sense of this. "You have come here attacking without warning, very much like villains."

"These are monsters! They aren't people, they don't deserve to live here!"

"Legally yes, however my master has shown them mercy and hospitality, as such they have behaved and caused no trouble."

"Mast-you work for the demon lord, you're his right hand man!"

"I prefer the title number one disciple."

"Grrrr, retreat, we can't take on a class S her- I mean villain!"

Saitama himself at this point had concluded in his head that this must have been a crazy dream. As such he did the best thing he could come to, smile wide and walk to the heroes with his hand up.

"Hey guys! Let's all be pals!"

The heroes however took this as the wrong sign, especially when Saitama went tripping over a piece of debris and went flying towards them with Death Gatling turning and realizing he was in the path.

'Shit!' he thought as Saitama quickly, on impulse, managed to stick the landing, but his body turned the wrong way and led to him bumping the hero with his hip, causing said hero to go flying past the other heroes who all went wide eyed at seeing how far he went down the street.

"Ah, wait, that was an acci-"

"R-RETREAT!" screamed the heroes who turn and ran as fast as possible, kicking up a dust cloud while Saitama stood there.

"Uh…." He turned to Genos and pointed in the direction. "Do you think I should go after them?"

Any monster who heard that took that the wrong way, such as 'Do you think I should hunt them down and crush them?'.

"No master, allow me to try and fix all this."

In the monster's head though? 'Don't burden yourself, I shall clean up the mess these humans have done to this place'.

"Tch, cowards." scoffed Garou clenching his fist. "I barely got a work out."

"They think I'm a villain, why?" Saitama muttered, seemingly ignoring all the monsters celebrating around him.

"Way to go master!"

"You showed those heroes what for!"

"They were lucky they ran off, or else they'd be a stain on the road!"

"The boss really is the strongest!"
