Well, I just found out what happened with Peridot. Apparently, she was captured by the Crystal Gems and lost her technological enhancements. When they learned of the Cluster, they made a pact with her to stop it (which explains what happened with the Cluster). But during her team-up with Steven and the Crystal Gems, Peridot has learned to respect and care for the Earth just like the Crystal Gems did. Best of all, when she stood up to Yellow Diamond and insulted her to her face, she became an honorary Crystal Gem. To this day, she lives in the Universe family barn and even recently gained a new ability, metal powers. That's quite an amazing achievement. It's nice to see that even bad gems can go good. It makes me wonder, did the same thing happen to the Gem who saved my life?
