Natt wandered the halls, having been placed into an intense game of hide and seek with Alex and Anne. The two were goofballs for sure, and he wanted to have as much fun as they were on the station, at least while he was cooped up inside. He was currently the seeker, and they could've been anywhere. He walked past the cafeteria, hearing some shuffling noises from the nearby aquarium room. A smirk grew on his face as he neared the door. He waited to her the noises again, and when he did, he burst through.
"Gotcha!" he called out, but Anne and Alex weren't there.
He could only see the sad figure of March, sitting in the corner and cradling herself like a baby. She was teary-eyed as she rocked herself back and forth, which explained the shuffling noise he had heard before.
"March?" he shut the door behind him as he came closer to her, "What's the matter?"
"I'm terrible," March mumbled, rocking herself some more.
"You're not terrible, you just messed up."
"Terribly."
"People are gonna forgive you."
"Damien won't."
"You don't know that."
She continued to rock herself in the corner, slightly sobbing between her words. Natt looked around for a chair, but he was unable to find one in the room. He sighed, sitting next to her on the floor and looking around at the different types of fish and aquatic plants.
"I bet Archie hates me for cheating on his best friend, too," March mumbled.
"I bet not. Archie doesn't hate you."
"He does now."
"You can't tell yourself that, you won't get anywhere if you do that."
"You don't understand, Natt. You would never do something like that to Anne."
"No, but-"
"Exactly, you can't understand what it's like to have done this."
"...Be that as it may...if trying to reason with you won't work, then I'll just sit here in silence."
"Why?"
"So if you need someone to talk to, I'll be right here."
March looked at him, though he continued to stare at the fish, not glancing back at her. She smiled ever-so slightly, looking down at her lap and finishing the rocking motions. She continued to sit in silence with the boy, letting minutes pass and continue to pass until she eventually fell asleep. Natt noticed that she had fallen asleep, but he still didn't leave her. He got up, dusting himself off from his experience on the floor before lifting her off of the ground and leaving the room with her. He carried her all the way to her room, opening the door and setting her down on her bed before finally leaving her alone, comfortable and in her own bed.
After he left the room, he noticed a small, metal box of sorts on the ground. He picked it up, trying to inspect what it was, and noticing a small latch on it. Undoing the latch, he noticed a pair of red contact lenses within the case. He looked around, not sure whose they were exactly, but stifling a chuckle at them. It was then that he noticed a small button on the outside of the case. He looked at it for quite some time, finally deciding to give it a press before someone interrupted him.
"Ah, there it is!" Thomas happily called out to him, "I've been looking all over for that thing! Keeps falling out of my pocket, so weird, wouldn't ya know?"
"Oh, these are yours?" Natt asked, holding the case out to him.
"Yeah, well, my sister's, actually! She loves colored contacts, this case is just from when she tried to get me into them. So silly, right? Thanks for giving them back to me."
"No problem, Thomas."
Natt waved to him, and Thomas waved back, continuing to do so as the former walked away, en route to his own room. It was then, that the translator lost his friendly face, and traded it for one that was far more intimidating and sinister. Natt could feel the gaze piercing his soul, even though he couldn't see it, but when he turned to look back, Thomas was gone.
