At the beginning of the fight between Spyro and the two beasts, Malefor and Greta reached the arena. They landed on the ground and rushed to it.
The dark purple dragon tackled the barrier and bounced on it. He was on the ground and painfully growled and whined as he sat down.
"We can't pass the barrier," the human commented as she pointed at it.
"I think I notice that already. Mostly my shoulder," he grunted as he stood up. He raised his fist and punched the barrier with everything he had. His punch didn't have any effect on it. He continued to assault it with everything he had. He stopped and panted, "Spyro needs my help right now!"
"We need to enter inside and-" Greta paled when she realised the purple dragon was in danger. She just knew it was too much, "I got this little thing," she showed a small ball, "It can create a hole in the barrier and you can go through it."
Malefor noticed the beasts were about to get the youngling, "Spyro is surrounded. No matter what it is, do it now!"
The girl threw the ball and it exploded on the barrier. A hole appeared on it and it was already shrinking.
The dark purple dragon called the power of his bracelet. He whispered, "It is time for time to stop," suddenly, he heard nothing. There was silence. Only silence. He felt nothing in the air as everything stopped.
Greta was still at the end of her momentum when she threw the ball. She remained there like a statue.
In the air, Malefor saw two giant fireballs near the purple dragon. He knew he had no time. He passed through the hole of the barrier. He quickly flew towards Spyro and grabbed him and the dragonfly as he passed by. He held the youngling on his chest while the dragon fly was in his arm, "Let time move forward," he whispered.
The explosion happened behind him as the fireballs collided.
The youngling had his eyes closed for a few more seconds. He heard the explosion and was obviously expecting the pain.
Eventually, Spyro opened his eyes and gazed up, "Malefor."
"Sorry I was late Spyro," Malefor replied. He let out a small smirk. He heard a sound and turned around. He saw the two serpentine dragons flew towards them.
Chapter 46: Two Dragons Vs Two Beasts
The dark purple dragon released the youngling, "Get away Spyro. I'll handle them!"
"No! I won't let you fight those things alone. I'll help you," the youngling protested loudly.
"Dammit Spyro. You almost die against them!" he avoided one of the beasts coming at him while he noticed the other one targeting the child.
The youngling avoided the claws of the beast and pouted, "I'm a hero and I'm here to save my siblings. I can't let you fight those two things alone. Let me help you," he told him.
Sparx approached the dark purple dragon and told him that they couldn't leave the place. There was no escape route.
Malefor sighed loudly as he had to agree, they had no choice, but to fight together, "Fine. Be really careful Spyro. I would never forgive myself if you get hurt," he raised his hand.
"I won't. We are fighting together," the purple dragon charged forward towards one of the beasts.
The adult groaned and charged at the other one. He dodged the fireball coming at him. He flew above when the beast charged at him. He grabbed the scales of the thing and held on. He opened his mouth and breath fire with everything he could. His flame didn't pierce the scale of the monster, "Damn those Beast Makers," he growled after saying that and flew away when the serpentine monster suddenly twisted its body before it tried to bite the dark purple dragon.
Malefor spread his wings and flew away as quickly as he could. He checked behind him and saw more fireballs coming towards him. He dodged more of them and checked on the child and was a little reassured that the youngling was handling himself pretty well. He closed his wings and flew down and took haste. When he was close to the ground, he spread his wings again and his belly almost touched the ground as he slowly gained altitude.
The beast dragon crashed on the ground and flew back up with some damage on its body. The damage was slowly healing.
The dark purple dragon realised that to defeat the beasts, he had to quickly destroyed them.
Meanwhile, Spyro dodged the attacks from the serpentine dragon beast. He landed on the ground and quickly dashed as more explosions came behind him. He jumped in the air and got more altitude as quickly as possible. He used his power to get as high as possible. He saw more fireballs. He dodged them and one of them exploded on the other beast. The purple dragon smirked as he got an idea. Still, he needed to tell his dad.
Sparx told him that he should focus on escaping the dragon maw first before trying anything.
"Yeah. Thanks, Sparx," he accelerated quickly as he flapped his wings. His magic wasn't enough and flapping them barely made him fly faster. He stopped, not wanting to exhaust himself.
Spyro took his chance and turned around. He charged at the beast. He avoided the fangs of the dragon and passed under it. He breath fireballs on the underbelly of the beast as many as possible. With his magic enhancement, it caused damages on the beast. He didn't stop and used a few more. He flew away as he heard the beast painfully groaned loudly.
The youngling gazed back and saw the beast slowly turning towards him. He didn't have time to turn toward his dad yet. He decided to take another chance to attack. His dragonfly warned him that trying another time wouldn't work.
Meanwhile, the other dragons and the humans watched how the battle was going.
Nestor was a little relieved that his son wasn't fighting on his own, but the beasts were still powerful. He rather had everyone coming to his rescue. They were trapped behind the barrier. He tried to break it, but to not effect. He panted in exhaustion.
He wasn't the only one, the Peace Keepers were exhausted from trying to break the barrier.
"This is useless. You cannot break the barrier!" Demitrious laughed loudly at them. Still, he was sweating a little.
Zantor calmly replied, "What about that dragon who went in there and that human?"
The Rhynoc grunted at them.
Bianca focused on maintaining her spell. The barrier did take a tool from the damage it took twice, "The humans had something against those spells. I wasn't expecting that."
"When we have to fight dragons, we had no magic. Of course, we needed to find things to counter that," someone said. The human called Emilie joined them as he held her wand in her hand, "We learned how to fight against magic. The Sorceress probably knows about this. If she didn't, she would already try to destroy us like the dragons. She would fail like always," she smirked at them.
The female bunny ignored the human and focused on maintaining her spell.
Demitrious grunted at the human he found arrogant, "You better watch your words human. You are going to regret saying that soon enough."
"We'll see when everything is over. As a secret agent, I cannot let evil prevail!" Agent Zero said.
The Rhynoc frowned at him and gazed at Bianca, "Do something!"
"I am. I have to make sure they don't come in there and get those beasts," she replied.
He knew that they would only fight with words, "Nevertheless, those dragons are doomed. You will soon see them perim against those beasts."
"We already destroyed two beasts," Bubba countered as he crossed his arms, "You already misused to many of them already. You are going to pay for this later."
Bruno grumbled, "The usage of those beasts is evil. They were probably made by pop to protect our kind, not enslave or eliminate enemies."
Astor adjusted his hat, "I think they were made for that. Your pop was a good dragon."
"I know, but to watch great creation fall like that. All of our history as proud Beast Makers, just tainted by the evil usage of The Sorceress," the leader of the Beast Makers quietly sobbed at the insult she gave to his ancestors.
Nestor growled quietly, "We cannot return home for now away. Spyro probably won't until it's all over."
"Yeah. I've been here for so long. I know that she made us live in fear. Anyone who fought back or tried to resist her were either jailed or destroyed. If it wasn't from Sheila, I would have been one of them," Flame scratched the ground. He tried to break the barrier, "And I won't let my little brother on his own!" he went on the offensive.
The other dragons tried once again to break it down.
"Pointless!" Demitrious yelled at them. He pointed at them, "Look at their situation now."
Inside the barrier, the two purple dragons managed to regroup together. They were surrounded by the two beasts, ready to torch them.
"You're okay Spyro?" Malefor asked.
"Me and Sparx are fine," the youngling replied as he floated in the air and observed the beasts.
"Don't worry. I can get us out of here with this," he pointed at his bracelet.
"What's that?"
"A Forbidden Artifact. It can control time. I stopped it to save you and I can do it again," the dark purple dragon replied.
Sparx didn't like it. Malefor got one of those artifacts, but he made no comments on it. It had been used for good and not evil so far. That revelation was extremely worrisome from everything he learned about it. It wasn't a lot, but he knew it was extremely dangerous.
"Cool," the purple dragon replied.
The dark purple dragon used it. From the child point of view, they were into another location in the blink of an eye. He realised they were behind the serpentine dragon beasts who searched for them.
"Let's go," Malefor told him.
The two dragons flew side by side with the dragonfly behind the youngling. They checked behind them and saw the two dragon beasts coming at them.
"You're okay dad? We will finish them up soon," he smirked.
His dad smirked too, "Let's go all out on one beast and we get the other one. I saw the one I fought heal quickly."
"Okay! We get the ugliest one first," Spyro replied as he gazed at them.
"The red one?"
"Yeah. Don't tell any of my red dads about it," the child nervously said.
Sparx promised he wouldn't say anything and would stop Malefor from trying to speak up about it.
"Good to know," the dark purple dragon groaned. He grabbed his child and the dragonfly before he stopped time. He quickly flew towards the red serpentine dragons. He made sure he was right under it. He held the child against his chest. When he was right under it and time moved again, he ordered, "Torch him!"
The two dragon's breath as much fire as they could. They used everything they had and after one powerful blast. The beast exploded and crashed on the ground, falling into pieces as it was destroyed.
"Let's do this again!" the youngling said.
Malefor panted a little, "Sorry, I cannot do it again. I used the artifact too much. I feel my magic is really low right now. I could die if I use it again."
"Dad… Okay. He's alone. We can do this together!" Spyro declared.
"Of course," he released the child and flew towards the beast.
The beast did the same and charged at them.
The two dragons split up when they were close to it. They relentlessly attacked the serpentine dragon beast with their flame and damaged it.
The beast managed to escape them and took heavy damage. However, it realised that something was on it's back and holding on.
Malefor held his claws in the scales of the serpentine dragon and continued his assault with everything he had. With one last attack, he destroyed the beast and flew in the air. He watched it falling down and breaking into pieces as it bounced on the ground.
"Awesome dad!" Spyro flew around him with a large smile.
"You were great too. No wonder you saved Dragon Realm as you said," he admitted. He could see the fire of a warrior in the Artisan Dragon.
Sparx reminded them that it wasn't over yet. He pointed at the other two enemies who remained on the ground.
"We should bring this barrier down once and for all," the purple dragon said.
"Right, they are enemies we need to torch right now," the dark purple dragon agreed.
The two charged at them.
Demitrious gulped when he saw the dragons coming at them. He didn't have his weapons to deal with them, "Get us out of here!"
Bianca raised her wand, "Already on it!" she casted it and they teleported away before the two purple dragons reached them.
The moment they were gone, the barrier quickly began to disappear. It lost its power and after a few seconds, it was gone.
Once it was gone, the dragons immediately flew towards the two dragons. Flame was in the arms of Bubba as he joined them in the air.
Malefor saw the eyes of the many dragons. He knew there was a lot to talk about soon.
AC: This is the end of this chapter. Hope you liked it.
Next Chapter: Where is Spyro?
Ignitus went to the Artisan Realm to investigate the strange magic that happened last day. With Spyro gone, the other dragons had to make sure that the member of the Guardian Dragons didn't realise what happened.
