Doody's POV
The worst day of every parents' day is finding out that your precious child is developing a disability, what worse is having someone brat bullying my little girl because of her disability. The guys and I were at the park with our kids who were playing on the playground. "How's Alice doing?" Danny asked.
"She's doing ok," I told him. "I wish I've been a better father."
"You stop right there Anthony," Kenickie started. "You a great father to that adorable smart little girl."
"Kenickie, my baby has a disability." I said standing up. "She's being bullied!"
Just then we heard a child's scream.
"Alice!" I yelled as we ran over to the kids.
My heart broke when I saw Alice, who is now 3, on the ground crying her eyes out while Didi comforts her.
"Alice, baby you ok?" I asked as I held her in my arms.
"Son what happened?" Kenickie asked Roger, who is now 7.
"Some idiot was making fun of Alice and I told him off." Roger said. "So I gave him a black eye."
"Son, you know how I feel about hitting others." Kenickie told him.
"Alice is like a little sister to me." Roger exclaimed.
"I know bud." Kenickie said.
"Hey!" We looked up to see a man walking with his son, pretty sure Roger has hit. "Your boy just punch my son."
"Well he deserve it for picking on our niece!" Danny yells.
"All I said she was weird cause she has disability." The boy said.
I glared at the kid and the dad.
"Well it ain't his fault you're raising a retard." The dad said.
That's it!
"What the hell did you just call my kid?" I asked standing up.
"I don't think shutter." The dad grinned.
I felt my blood boil with rage so I attack him.
"Doody"! I heard Danny yelled.
"Yeah Uncle Doody!" I heard Roger called out.
I pounded the father right in the face.
"Ok, come on kid!" I felt Kenickie pull me off of him as he held the father up by his shirt as Danny rubs my shoulder.
"If I ever catch your son bullying my niece again." I heard Kenickie spoke. "I will find you and kill you."
He roughly lets go of him.
"Now get outta here eh!" Sonny yelled as they both walked off.
I walked over to Alice and held her in arms as she cried.
"I'm so sorry baby girl." I comforted her.
"C'mon," I heard Danny says. "We should get going."
So we got back to our cars and drove home. Once we got back to my place, I put Alice down for a nap. I let out a sigh when I looked down at my little angel sleeping peacefully.
"I'm sorry baby girl." I whispered.
I looked over to see Kenickie at the door entrance.
"How is she?" He asked as he walked in.
"She's ok now." I said. "Finally got her to calm down."
I felt him pat my shoulder.
"Kenickie," I started. "Am I'm a bad father?"
"Now you stop that right there Anthony." Kenickie said going in front of me. "You are not a bad father, understand?" I just look up at him.
"But it's my fault that she'll get bullied." I told him.
"No it's not." He said. "Listen kiddo, I know it's hard…but we gotta stay strong…epically for Alice."
I only gave him a small nod.
"C'mere kid." He said hugging me.
I just cried in his arms.
"It's gonna be alright." I heard him comfort me. "I promise kiddo."
"Doody?" We pulled away to see Sandy and Frenchy. "Danny told us." She said.
"I'm so sorry." I said.
"Why? For being the best father to our adorable baby girl?" She asked.
She hugs me.
"Please don't beat ya self up." She said.
"I'll try not too." I said.
"Hey, we're all here for you little brother." Kenickie said draping his arms. "Epically Us fellas…." We smiled at each other. "T-Birds for life, but brothers for internally." He adds as he ruffles my hair.
