Gajeel was working on a late night story so it was just Juvia and Levy in the house that night. Levy was resting in bed while Juvia was fixing her some tea in the kitchen. From outside, Black Dragon was leaning over the window of the kitchen, unseen by Juvia. He licked his mouth with his long forked tongue and as he thought about what horrible things he could do to hurt her. He was just about to go in and do the damage when he was tackled and dragged away from the house by an angry Blue Tiger.

"Stay away from her!" He demanded before punching him in the face.

Luckily Juvia's back was turned so she didn't see what was happening outside. When she finished preparing the tea, she poured some into a cup and brought into Levy's bedroom.

"Here you are Levy." Juvia said.

"Thank you." Her sister in-law said gratefully.

"Did you want any honey or milk with it?"

"No thank you."

"Are you feeling any better?"

"Much."

"I'm glad. You mean so much to Gajeel. These past few days I haven't seen him so scared in such a long time."

"You mean a lot to him too. He feels just terrible about missing your play."

"He shouldn't. Being there for you was much more important."

THUMP!

"What on earth was that?" Levy asked.

"It's probably the raccoons getting into the garbage again. I'll go shoo them off."

Juvia went back into the kitchen, grabbed a broom, and opened the front door. She saw turned over trash cans but no sign off claws marks and garbage being dragged about.

"Alright you nasty nocturnals." She said stepping outside. "Get out of here and stop making a mess or you'll be sorry."

She moved her broom against the bushes around her house, in case some raccoons were hiding there but none came out.

"I guess I scared them off sooner than I thought."

She started to go back inside but stopped when she got the feeling that she wasn't alone. She looked around for someone but all she saw were houses, parked cars, and lamp posts. Still this feeling wouldn't leave her and it made her a little uneasy. Suddenly she let out a small scream when a hand grabbed her shoulder and swatted whoever it was with her broom.

"Ow!"

She was relieved to see that the man she had accidentally attacked was Gray.

"Oh Gray I'm so sorry." She said. "You scared me. I thought you were a mugger or something."

"Wow you really know how to use a broom don't you?" He said standing up.

"Gray what are you doing here at this hour? And sneaking around like this? You could give someone a heart attack by doing that you know."

"Juvia is your brother home?"

"No he's at work. Why? Are you looking for him?"

"So it's just you and your sickly sister-in law home alone tonight?" He asked ignoring her question.

"I wouldn't say she's sickly. She's recovering quite well."

"Oh man."

"Gray are you alright? You're shaking. Is something wrong?"

"Juvia I can't talk long but I need you to do something for me."

"What?"

"When you go back inside lock all doors and the windows and don't open any of them until Gajeel gets home."

"Why?"

"I can't explain it right now just do it. Also you know Laxus Dreyar?"

"Yes he's that creep Gajeel fired for doctoring photos and withholding information from the news."

"Okay if you see him come by here don't open the door, don't let him in, and call the police. And if you see him while you're out run. Get away from him and run. Understand?"

"Gray you're scaring me. My heart's in my throat. What's happening?"

"Juvia do you trust me?"

"What are you-"

"Do you trust me?"

"Yes. I do."

"Then do as I say and don't ask me any questions. Please."

"Okay."

"Good. I have to go now but I'll call you tomorrow."

He ran off leaving Juvia confused and scared but she trusted Gray. So she went back inside her house and locked all the doors and windows.

"Was it raccoons Juvia?" Levy called.

"Yes Levy." She said not wanting to upset her in her delicate condition. "They're gone now. Don't worry. Listen I'm going to give Gajeel a little call okay?"

"Okay."

She grabbed the phone, dialed the number, and waited for her brother to pick up.

"Hello?" Gajeel answered on the other line.

"Gajeel it's Juvia. Do you think you could come home now?"

"Why? Is something wrong with Levy?"

"No she's fine but...I have a bad feeling and I think you should come home."

"Is somebody out there?"

"I don't know for sure. I don't see anyone but I'd feel more safe if you were here."

"Alright I'll put my story on hold and come home. Are the doors locked?"

"Yes and so are the windows."

"Good. I'll be home as soon as I can."

She hung up, grabbed a steel baseball bat from the hall closet, and sat in the living room. Prepared for any danger that may come tonight. As for Gray he changed back into his costume and went to search for Laxus but ended up running into Natsu.

"Gray thank God I found you! I got some major bad news!"

"Let me guess Laxus bonded with symboite."

"You already know?"

"He decided to drop by and have a little chat with me."

"Did he hurt you?"

"He roughed me up real good but I'm not worried about that. He knows about my super hero persona."

"I know. He knows mine too and he has some of my powers. The symboite has given him power, strength, and our secrets. Worst of all he's going to go after the people we know and care about. Has he done anything to anyone you know?"

"He threatened Juvia."

"Is she alright?"

"I managed to stop him but he got too close for comfort."

"Where is he now?"

"I chased him off and I told Juvia to lock up her house and to avoid Laxus no matter what."

"Do you think that will keep her safe?"

"It should. But just to be sure I'll call her every few hours and I'm gonna spend the night at my aunt's house so I can make sure nothing happens to her."

"Good idea. As for me I'm going to warn Erza and keep an eye on Professor Clive."

"Will you be out all night?"

"Maybe. You'll call me if you see Laxus or whatever he's calling himself right?"

"Yeah."

"Okay. Let's meet up tomorrow after classes and try to look for him together."

"Alright see you then."

"And Gray?"

"Yeah?"

"That thing is out for blood. I could see it in his eyes and I know for a fact that if he realizes he's killing somebody he won't stop. Be careful."

"Same goes for you bro."
