"FBI! Open up!" JJ yelled as she and her colleagues stood outside the door off an old worn down three story house.
Harsh whispers and scrambling feet are heard inside the house, and then the door was opened. A sixteen year old boy opened the door slightly. He looked sullen, but he maintained a poker face.
JJ holstered her gun, "Hey bud. My name's Jennifer. Is there an adult here with you?"
The teen nodded, but didn't utter a word.
"Can we come in and speak to him or her?" JJ asked
The teen opened his mouth to say something when the sound of little feet were heard running and a small voice yelling 'papa!' The teen picked up a little boy, who looked to be about six years old.
"Baby, papa needs you to go find Uncle Zekey and stay with him. Okay?" The teen told the little boy, "You can play with your cousin Nate."
The little boy nodded, "Okay Papa. I'll go stay with Uncle Zekey and Nate."
The teen put the little boy down and he ran off back in the direction in which he had come from.
The teen turned back to the FBI agents. He spoke in a soft, but almost nervous tone, "Um you're not allowed to come in, but I can call my father for you."
"That would be great." Jennifer told the teen.
The teen nodded and stepped back into the house, closing the door behind him. A few moments later, a man stepped out of the house.
"How can I help you?" The man asked
"I'm Agent Morgan and this is Dr. Reid." Derek introduced, "Are you Jason Billard?"
The man nodded, "Yes, I am. What's this about?"
"We just have a few questions." Spencer stated. Then he held up an age progressed photo of a little girl, "Do you know this little girl? Her name is Amber Cromie? She went missing from foster care three years ago?"
Jason looked closely at the picture, "Um…I don't think so, but the way foster care is maybe someone was rescuing her. Maybe it was a family member or something."
"Okay. Well if you know anything or find out anything, give us a call." Derek replied as he handed the man a card. "Her parents would love to see her again."
Jason took the card, "I definitely will call, but I doubt I will know anything."
