(Part of my Kismet universe series) Bayonetta and Jeanne are called forth by a being of the future known as the Crowfather but only Bayonetta seemed to have made it now stuck in the future, now titled as the Lady of Time she teams up and falls in love with Death as a Cosmic evil threatens to end everything as the two search for a way to save their red sibling figures.

Chapter 24: The Brimstone Legion

Hey everyone I'm back, there's no updates of my grandfather's condition as of yet but I want to thank those who were kind enough to support me taking time off for family.

I'm used to family passing away as harsh and depressing as that may sound, there's been a lot of deaths in my family throughout my life from my dad, to my aunt and even pets.

I suppose that is maybe a factor of why I relate to this version of Death so much, that and wanting to protect my siblings along with a honest hatred towards our mothers.

I will simply put it this way for a simple understanding of why me and my mom do not get along she is a Karen.

But enough of the serious talk, time for some fun ey ladies and gentlemen?

This chapter was half finished when I last made that update and I managed to squeeze some time every now and then to complete it, this is by far the longest chapter I have ever made in a story.

With Bayonetta and Death

Bayonetta and Death rode back to the Angel outpost as Bayonetta turned towards Death who seemed eerily in deep thought from the looks in his eyes.

Bayonetta teased Death by pulling aside her head dress that drapped over her torso and showed the outfit was skin tight.

Death shook his head but he managed to chuckle quietly much to the amusement of Bayonetta as Death responded "I find it far too convenient Bayonetta, that two of the pieces of the Rod were so easily to take from the Demons."

Bayonetta's hair extended covering her ass as she questioned with a serious tone "You think someone's setting a trap for us?"

Death explained while the Duo rode towards the Outpost "It is within Beliar's character to do so, he had both the brains and the brawns while his brother was… well you already saw."

Bayonetta scoffed amusingly and joked "A fat Demonic slob who couldn't stop stuffing his face?"

Death squinted and playfully responded "Well that's rude to speak ill of the dead love!"

Bayonetta merely gave a playful smug expression and responded in a playful tone "Says the man named Death!"

The Deadly Duo reached the tower and dismounted off their phantom steeds as Geryon turned looking up towards the skies. Geryon saw a small flash as a mysterious figure was seen floating above whose silhouette resembled a man wearing a top hat and cane.

The figure waved towards Geryon before teleporting out of site which Geryon merely squinted in suspicion before vanishing himself.

Despair followed in Geryon's lead and vanished, later Death and Bayonetta reached the floor level of the Angel's encampment and saw the Angels circled cheering "URIEL, URIEL, URIEL!"

While most of the Angels were gathered a few remained in guard duty and watched for any signs of Demon activity as Bayonetta Death pushed aside the Angels.

The Deadly Due saw Uriel who was seen naked while sparring with a new and young recruit of the Hellguard who also had stripped himself of his armor. Uriel threw with and powerful punches with deadly precision, hitting the Angel's abs, pecks and his face dazing the Angel who shook his head trying to regain his stance.

But The Angel regained his composer and attempted to strike Uriel with his own punch but time seemingly slowed as she leaned to the side dodging his fist. Uriel quickly wrapped his arms around the Angel's and wrapped her legs over his neck and shoulders before tossing both of them onto the ground.

Time returned to normal as Uriel slowly choked the Angel and questioned "Do you yield recruit?"

The Angel struggled respond but managed to say "I… grrrrnnnnn! I… yield!"

The other Angels sighed in disappointment while Uriel rolled her eyes in disgust before unwrapping her arms and legs off the recruit.

Uriel climbed on top of the recruit and held her fist over the his face and stated firmly "You call yourself a Warrior of Heaven?! No one among us will ever surrender to the enemy, your surrender may lead to the deaths of your new found brothers and myself think on that before the coming battles ahead!"

Uriel stood up and walked away as the Angels began to pound their fists against their chestplated armor in sync with each-other.

Uriel eyed Death and Bayonetta and asked while still walking away "You two retrieved the piece of the Rod?"

Bayonetta formed an impressed smirk and teased "We have… (eyes Uriel's naked body as she walks) Never thought you Pigeons would lower yourselves to… such 'purity' hahaha!"

Uriel stopped walking and turned around and placed her hands on her hips and responded with a respectful tone "I see no reason to be upset over it hah, but your people are rather strange… many who saw me during the first days of the war gave me rather… lustful gazes. (turns around and struts away) While other had revered looks at the sight of me… Not sure why"

Bayonetta leaned towards Death and whispered while looking at Uriel's ass and curvy figure "I've got a few ideas why!"

Death elbowed Bayonetta's arm and shook his head in amusement while Bayonetta snickered quietly.

Uriel heard Bayonetta's quiet voice and turned around revealing her large breasts joked "We are Angels like all naturally born creatures of flesh are born without the need for clothes and armor, if that isn't the honest truth then I honestly don't know what is."

Bayonetta sighed with a smirk as she was reminded of the Joy Angels of her time and teased "Oh you don't need to remind me, how naughty you lil Angels can be hehe!"

Death palmed his mask in embarrassment knowing Bayonetta was thinking something inappropriate as Uriel scoffed in amusement.

Hours later Bayonetta and Death were seen waiting for Uriel to sense the next location of the rod with the other two pieces as Bayonetta laid her head down on Death's lap.

Bayonetta sighed in boredom as she swayed her feet back and forth as Juliet walked by and leaned against the wall with her arms crossed and asked "You two alright?"

Death eyed Bayonetta as she responded jokingly "No I'm not alright… I want to finish up this whole Rod of Pigeons quest to get back to Rodin's bar for some… (rubs Death's neck) pillow talk!"

Death allowed Bayonetta to rub his neck which then turned to her playing with his hair as he eyed Juliet and asked "Has Bayonetta offered you the chance to come with us?"

Bayonetta winced and smacked her fist onto her palm and said "Ohhh…. Knew I was forgetting something…"

Juliet eyed Death and stood up from the wall with her arms uncrossing and questioned with a genuine tone "Wait… what?"

Death responded while gesturing his hand towards Juliet "As a Horsemen I am bound to serving the Balance though because this quest I not sanctioned by the Council I can't force you to come with us, which of course you will be protected."

Juliet rubbed her chin in thought and asked "What is your quest anyway?"

Bayonetta eyed Death who responded "To spare my brother… (and looks down at Bayonetta) and her Umbra Sister from the wrath of the Council."

An Angel in the background overhearing the conversation scoffed in disgust and muttered quietly "The Red Rider deserves whatever horrible fate awaits him!"

Death immediately turned his gaze towards the Angel with an intense glare with glowing red eyes which caused the Angel to freeze from fear alone. Death lifted Bayonetta off his lap as she gave a confused stare while Death unsheathed his scythes and teleported behind the Angel and held both blades at his throat.

The Angel trembled in fear as Death dared with a forcefully held back angered tone "My brother is innocent!"

The Angel's whole body shook from sheer terror so much he couldn't even muster the strength to respond to Death as Uriel walked out in fully armor and questioned "What's going on out here?"

Death removed his scythes and warned "I care not whether you and your men believe War is to blame. (walks over to Uriel and sheathes scythes) But if you believe in such lies, do not say or else I will kill you, do we understand each-other?"

Uriel frowned and responded "As you wish… but you cannot deny the truth of his and his witch follower."

Bayonetta eyed Uriel and questioned "What do you mean by that?!"

Death also had a confused look in his eyes as Uriel stated "During the first day of the war I witnessed War and a witch who wore red and had white or platinum hair wielding the Angel Slayer the weapon whose master is the Dark Prince himself!"

Bayonetta eyed Death and questioned in a confused and mildly annoyed tone "Why didn't you tell me Jeanne was involved with the Apocalypse."

Death stated firmly and genuinely "I only heard that my brother was blamed for the Apocalypse, and which I immediately made plans and went to the Crowfather, Fury visited me before I left but… she failed to mention War and Jeanne were both involved… (rubs neck) she's going to have to explain that to me when I see her next time!"

Bayonetta noticed Death's confusion and looked into his eyes and saw them slightly twitch and thought "He must feel betrayed by Fury not informing him…"

Bayonetta grunted as a vision from Khepri was forcefully cast into her mind once again as she saw Fury meeting with Death in his abode as he was preparing to make the journey to meet the Crowfather. The vision changes showing Rodin serving himself and Dis a drink before Dis pulled him into a passionate kiss.

The vision changes once more to show Beliar fighting the Hellguard at their outpost and easily overpowering them. Beliar was seen panting heavily in excitement from his bloodlust as the vision then showed Uriel bloodied and beaten at Beliar's feet.

But the vision changed to reveal the Destroyer fighting against War and Jeanne with Uriel aiding them in what seemed to be another possible future. The vision continues showing War being tortured by a six blue eyed creature whose skin was night sky black, with tints of dark blue, his hair fuming black like smoke.

The six eyed creature held a metal seal with four hoses engraved on it's face as Uriel was seen impaling War with a large sword killing him and said "Nex Sacrementum… the Death Oath is complete!"

Uriel removed the sword and struck the hand of six eyed creature, the same hand which held onto the seal shattering it whole completely destroying the creature's hand. Bayonetta panted heavily in stress as she saw War's finger twitched as his wounds completely regenerated as his body glowed brightly as he came back to life.

The visions end with Uriel bowing before War and Jeanne with a sword that had a powerful Angelic aura to it.

Bayonetta placed her hand on her head as Death noticed and asked "What is wrong?"

As Bayonetta widened her eyes understanding the last vision as she eyed Death and warned "Beliar is coming for the Angels!"

The Angels eyed Bayonetta as one asked "How do you know Human?"

Bayonetta explained while pacing towards Death and grabbed his arm "A friend of my mother tends to send me warnings and messages through possible futures."

Death eyed Bayonetta and saw the look of concern in her eyes as she pulled him away from Uriel and the Angels privately in a separate room and said "Death… I think your earlier assumption of Beliar setting a trap is correct… I saw him fighting here winning, but I don't know how he found us…"

Death rubbed the chin of his mask and theorized with a serious tone while gesturing his hand towards the pieces of the rod in Uriel's tent "I suspect that the Demon Lord may have casted some sort of spell upon the Rod itself allowing him and his followers to track it's location…"

Bayonetta nodded in agreement with Death's theory and stated "Death… Uriel may not know it now but she will save your brother from dying, but only if she and a good amount of her warriors survive!"

Death formed a confused look in his eyes as he questioned "And why tell me this?"

Bayonetta scoffed amusingly and gestured her hand towards Uriel's direction and reminded "You did threaten anyone here that you'd kill them if they talked ill of your brother again."

Death groaned lowly in defeat not denying Bayonetta's statement and questioned "Fair point I'll give you that…but how do you know that this… future will come to pass?"

Bayonetta rubbed Death's chest and stated in a sincere tone "None of Khepri's visions before were as clear as this one was… she clearly knows Uriel will play an important role in the future… but aside from saving War I don't know…"

Death sighed as he looked away from Bayonetta, the two lovers remained in silence as Death rubbed his hand against Bayonetta's cheek and responded "Very well… I'll try to play nice."

Bayonetta smiled and leaned towards Death's mask and kissed where his mouth would be beneath it and responded quietly "Thank you…"

Beliar's outpost

Beliar was seen entering a Demonic bed chamber and saw Hedrox was hissing at two Taskmasters who were wingless and naked as Beliar questioned "Why haven you two calmed him?"

One Taskmaster reported while bowing "My Lord, Hedrox is far too weak for us, his primitive mind have made it rather annoying to deal with. He avoids us as if we're the plague!"

Beliar growled in a irritated tone and crossed his arms and instructed "This is most disappointing… (points at the two Taskmasters) You two may leave, but attend to the other male and the female if you so wish. I want to start my army of Vampires and hybrid Demons as soon as possible."

The Taskmasters bowed and left Beliar to deal with Hedrox who whimpered in fear of his master who merely growled in both disgust and disappointment as he declared "Fine… Hedrox if you are too weak willed to breed me an army then I will make you into an army of One and Many, but the cost will be pain!"

Beliar held out his hand and began to cast red magical lightning at Hedrox who screeched in pain 'KREEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!"

Beliar formed a sadistic and toothy grin as he stated "You will not simply be Hedrox the Son of Turel… you will become Hedrox the Infinite, for each piece of flesh you will lose will become a complete you, sharing your mind and will but each time you multiply you will feel only pain!"

Hedrox screeched louder in pain "KREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!"

Beliar ceased his magical attack on Hedrox who panted heavily as his own saliva dripped out of his mouth and ran down his chin. Beliar grabbed Hedrox's arm and ripped his arm off causing Hedrox to roar in pain as blood erupted from is wound.

Beliar dropped the arm as it reformed a second Hedrox who shared the same mind and soul as the original as Hedrox's own arm regenerated into a new one.

Beliar turned away and finished "I do hope you will keep your sanity after all… (begins to walk out of the chamber) Pain is can be a too much for the minds of lesser creatures."

Beliar left the chamber and was greeted by a Defiler Demon with armor plating over his jaw which was molded to resemble jagged teeth.

The Defiler had a broken horn and a nipple ring as he bowed before Beliar and reported "My Lord, your weapons are finally ready for you to wield in battle!"

Belial formed an eager grin as he walked off with the Defiler following behind, later Beliar was seen in a Demon Forge with an obese Demon blacksmith waiting. The Blacksmith was bare chested, his light skinned underbelly contrasted with his scaly hide along with muscular arms the size of large tree trunks.

The blacksmith's short horns made it easy for him to wear human goggles with black lenses as he had a mouth with two large tusks with two smaller ones on his lower jaw.

The blacksmith placed his fist on his chest at the sight of Beliar and greeted "Bout time youz came, was just adding the final touches…"

The blacksmith picked up a chain with blades as he picked up one axe and placed the chains over the blade and said "You know when ya gave me dat Humie book of der tech I tought youz waz crazy… but I can assure you now boss… (puts on another blades chain on a second axe) Deez are gunna ruffle some Pigeons' feathers HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAA!"

The blacksmith handed both axes to Beliar who held one in each hand as the blacksmith gestured his hand towards them and said "Well go on giv'em a revin!"

Beliar revved the hilts of the axes starting up the chains into a spinning motion as he grinned in satisfaction and immediately began to swing them around.

Beliar's new axes were seen to glowing red from Demonic magics as the blacksmith asked "So Boss wha are ya gunna test deez on?"

Beliar eyed his chain axes and questioned his Defiler Demon "Have you located the Angel outpost yet?"

The Defiler responded "I have my Lord, the spell you placed upon the Angelic artifact proved to be quite fruitful, the Rider and his Human led us straight to a tower…"

Beliar scoffed in amusement and responded "Just like a Pigeon! They do prefer high places to stretch out their wings! Excellent work my loyal subject, (turns towards the blacksmith) it is time for a test run for the future of Demon weaponry! I will let you know if you have out done yourself, Vex."

The Blacksmith Demon now revealed to be named Vex bowed and joked "Now don't go breakin my babies ya hear boss!"

Beliar eyed the Defiler as he walked and stated "Despite the weakness of the pigeons, they do have formidable allies… specifically Death, he will prove to be an overwhelming foe in the battle ahead…"

The Defiler growled lowly in anger at the mention of one of the Four Horsemen as Beliar questioned "Do we still have Mordant Dew?"

The Defiler gave a toothy grin and stated "Indeed my Lord… we have plenty of the Stingers' venom in storage awaiting use."

Belial looked ahead and ordered "Bring me phial, it's time for the most powerful Rider to feel his own strength taken away from him and to show him just how weak he truly is!"

Beliar walked away but the Defiler questioned "But my Lord, shouldn't we be sinking the city just as the Destroyer commands?"

Beliar continued to walk as the Defiler followed while the Demon Lord explained "I've already set the Shadowcaster the task he is currently preparing the orb of Dagon to be used…"

The Defiler Demon gave a low sigh in awe and responded "The Orb of Dagon… how did you come by such a powerful relic of the fallen Drowned King?"

Beliar explained "My brother's trident was stolen from him and he asked me to reclaim it and once I found it being sold by a lesser Demon merchant Vulgrim, I also found the Orb and had bought them both."

With Kagan and Slezz (within the Demon outpost)

Loptr grunted and squirmed in place as his eyes glowed a brighter yellow as he cried out in pain "RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGHHHH!"

Oblivio asserted more his power into Loptr's mind as he demanded calmly "Do not resist and reveal your secrets to me child of Chaos."

Loptr's eyes beams out yellow lights as Oblivio said "You have created a realm where your evil may flourish… a realm where your champion resides in wait for you to free him…"

Oblivio eased his influence upon Loptr's mind making him pant heavily as if the experience had taking much of his own power just to resist.

Oblivio turned his attention towards Sheba and respectfully demanded "You are hiding something as well my child… reveal it… willingly as I prefer from you."

Sheba sighed in defeat and spoke "Upon a realm far into the Abyss, lies four Cosmic gods, a nameless god who rules over a realm called Nosgoth, the second is… my son Frostbane (Sheba's hands tremble in defiance) God of the Abyss, of honor and servitude…"

Sheba grunted as she struggled to resist Oblivio's power but she succumbed and finished "And the last two are rather strange compared to the rest of us… Ormagoden the God of Reality, revelry and who gave his music his raw passionate power, while Aetulia is the Goddess the dead, care taker of the damned and the one who gave Ormagoden's music it's heart and inspiring feeling."

Oblivio was silent at first and responded "I am aware of the nameless one, and have thus given him a name, Nos'duran and I have met my grandson… but it these new gods Ormagoden and Aetulia will they side with Omne?"

Sheba responded in a honest tone "I doubt it… Ormagoden is more interested in being entertained by his followers and in turn providing them entertainment. Though he is not without skill in battle, while Aetulia I doubt would side with Omne due to her current state of mind."

Oblivio questioned "Meaning what exactly?"

Sheba sighed and stated simply "Aetulia has chosen to embrace the lost, the damned and those who have lost the will to live…"

The three deities sensed Oblivio's presence leave them without another word as Jubileus and Sheba eyed Loptr as Jubilues questioned "What did he mean Loptr? What realm and champion did Oblivio speak of?"

Loptr sighed and stated "It is a realm of my design… a realm where creatures born from my evil essence."

Sheba eyed Loptr and questioned "What have you done Loptr?!"

Loptr grinned and vaguely and ominously answered "I simply stayed true to my nature dear Sheba!"

Sheba turned towards Jubileus who sighed and stated "We will not have your world destroyed but Balance must be maintained (eyes Loptr) send the Watchers to your world and ensure it will not be a threat to the rest of Creation."

With Bayonetta and Death

Dis was seen floating around as Bayonetta, Juliet and Death were nearby as she stated "Well ladies… and Horseman I must be off, I have no desire to reveal to the Destroyer's cronies that a rogue Demoness like myself has sided with the Angels when they get here."

Bayonetta chuckled in amusement and responded with a playful tone while placing her right hand on her hip "Well let's us hope you don't get caught."

Juliet grinned and gave two thumbs up and said with enthusiasm "Keep on rocking on Dis!"

Death scoffed in amusement and remained silent as Dis playfully saluted the three off before teleporting away to an unknown location.

Bayonetta smiled and teased "She is rather pleasant to be around, not too mention… well (gestures towards thighs and ass) how does an American put it? Oh yes, extra thick hahaha!"

Juliet covered her mouth with a blush and had an embarrassed expression and said "We don't all do that!"

Bayonetta formed a mildly confused look noticing Juliet did not protest to the existence of a country Bayonetta was familiar with and asked "Wait… there was an America during this age too?"

Juliet removed her hand and formed a confused expression and asked "What is that supposed to mean?"

Bayonetta passively waved it off and said "Oh… never mind what I said…"

Death looked at Bayonetta as she thought to herself "How is it that even this Earth had the same countries as my time's does that also mean the same histories as well?"

Bayonetta pondered on the idea that events may be repeating itself with some differences as Death took noticed but remained quiet.

But a guard shouted while pointing down to the ground alerting "WE'VE GOT BATS AND LOTS OF THEM!"

Death ran up to the edge of the tower and saw a large group of Demons giving war cries "WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!"

But pushing aside Demons with no effort and remained casual about the acts was Beliar wielding his newly forged chain axes as he eyed the tower.

Beliar huffed a flicker of hellfire from his mouth and opened out his arms and taunted "I promised my boyz blood, and quite honestly I want in on the action myself!"

Death squinted at the sight of Beliar as Juliet ran up to the edge of the tower and saw Beliar and grunted in shock as she whispered "You?!"

Beliar eyed Juliet and scoffed in an impressed tone and thought out loud "Well... this is interesting, you're still alive?"

Juliet magically changed the form of her chainsaw into a cannon and began to blast rapidly at the Demon Lord who grinned while swirling his axes with blinding speeds.

Beliar deflected all the shots Juliet fired at her sending them into nearby walls, cars and buildings as he couldn't help but laugh as he was clearly enjoying himself "BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAA!"

Juliet ceased firing her cannon as Beliar was cloaked in smoke but clapped the sides of his axes together with enough force to blow away the smoke.

Juliet frowned at the sight of Beliar who taunted while "Is that the best you've got humie? A Fleamag would impress me more than that!"

Bayonetta heard Beliar's taunts and scoffed in an unimpressed tone before pulling off her headdress and had her hair form a cowboy hat. Bayonetta magically materialized a pair of sunglasses over her eyes and summoned a lollipop to place in her mouth.

Bayonetta lastly summoned her Redemption cannon and walked over to the edge of the tower carrying it and tauntingly saluted Beliar before cocking the gun.

Beliar's grin quickly turned to a serious scowl as he ordered while demonstrating how fast he was to run behind a building for cover "REDEMPTION CANNON! TAKE OVER BOYZ!"

Bayonetta formed a surprised look on her face and admitted in a mocking tone "Wow… that Demon can really move when he wants…"

Bayonetta began to fire a barrage of holy fire power instantly killing groups of the smaller and weaker Demons as Juliet joined in on the barrage and fired her cannon. The Hellguard followed by firing their spear guns down at the group of Demons as Death had pulled out Redemption and joined in on the barrage of raw fire power.

Beliar looked over from behind the building he used as cover while his Demon army took the brunt of the barrage causing him to think to himself "They knew we were coming, how could they know?!"

Uriel walked out wielding her sword in one and a some Angelic gun in another as she was fully her armored.

Uriel eyed one of her soldiers and ordered "You take (hands over gun) hand the Salvation cannon to the Rider!"

The Angel nodded and took the Salvation cannon and flew towards Death who shot a Flee Demon and blew off the top half of it's body. The Angel presented the Salvation cannon to Death who eyed it and without a word accepted it before aiming down at the scattering Demons.

Bayonetta eyed Death's new gun and playfully teased "Oh dear what's that pee shooter going to do?!"

Death squeezed the trigger of his gun and showed it fired smaller bolts of holy energy faster at a faster rate than Bayonetta's Redemption cannon. But Death's Salvation cannon's damage was not on par with Bayonetta's gun who watched as the Demons found it even harder to dodge now.

Bayonetta snickered in amusement as she continued to fire her gun at the Demons as Beliar leaned out and shouted an order "BOLT SPITTERS RETURN FIRE!"

Two of the largest Demons with giant Demonic multi-barreled cannons grinned sinisterly while both chuckled with a deep voice "Hehahahahaha!"

The two Bolt spotter Demons waddled out with heavy footsteps as they tanked the blasts of entire group and their barrage of fire power as one got shot in the face and taunted with glee and blood thirst "AGAIN SHOOT ME AGAIN!"

Bayonetta heard the Demon's taunt and focused her fire upon him as he fired back while cranking the handle on his massive gun firing large Demonic bullets. The barrage of Demonic bullets fired upon the Angels forced them to take cover while Bayonetta, Death and Juliet remained drawing the focus of the Bolt spitter Demons.

Beliar looked to see a few large armored Demons with large Demonic guns as he ordered "YOU BOYZ, TAKE DOWN THAT TOWER!"

The Defiler Demon with a armored jaw piece appeared behind Beliar as he complimented "These pigeons are resilient… I'll give em that!"

Beliar snarled in spite but could not deny he was not expecting the Angels to be ready for his assault as he pulled out the Mordent Dew phial and ordered "Take the poison once the two Phantom Generals (hands phial to the Defiler Demon) draw out the Horseman to the ground you will know what to do…"

The Defiler bowed his head and summoned his double ended curved blade he assured Beliar "I will do what is commanded of me, my Lord…"

The Defiler Demon treated behind the building as the armored Demons charged towards the base of the tower as Bayonetta looked down and warned "Hey those two naughty Devils are trying to sneak passed us!"

Death looked down and saw their guns and stated "I'll handle those two!"

Death jumped off the tower's edge and crashed down in front of the two heavily armored Demons and left only a crater. Death walked out of the crater and fired a scattering blast of energy that tore apart one of the Demon's bodies leaving only his dismembered and scorched body.

The second Demon roared at Death who reacted by unsheathing one of his scythes and threw it at the Demon's face which stuck itself inside his head. Death continued to rapidly fire the Demons while the Defiler stealthily evaded his gaze and entered the tower's base and as he walked he poured the poison onto his blade with a grin.

The Defiler managed to get behind Death without him knowing, time seemingly slowed as the Demon leaped out at the Rider. Though Death leaned to the side attempting to dodge the Demon his blade cut Death's shoulder making him grunt in pain before time returned to normal as the Defiler rolled back to standing in a combat ready stance.

Death touched his shoulder before glaring at the Defiler who chuckled in a sinister tone as Death gave a unamused expression in his eyes. Death raised his gun at the Demon without mercy fired a single scattered shot killing the Demon instantly as Bayonetta looked down to see Death shaking his head.

Death appeared to be delirious and panted heavily as Bayonetta without hesitation dropped down from the tower. Bayonetta still with her Redemption cannon in hand fired a single charged shot and blew a Boltspitter's head off.

The second Boltspitter flinched from the blood of his fellow Demon which had splattered onto his face and shoulders but roared with an excited grin "RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"

Bayonetta crashed onto the ground and kept firing her cannon and killed three more Phantom guards as she walked towards Death and asked with a concerned tone "Are you alright darling?"

Death's body began to sweat as he struggled to respond "I… that Defiler must have used some sort of poison to weaken my regenerative powers…"

Bayonetta eyed Death who fell onto his knees panting heavily as she gave a displeased frown and dropped her cannon.

The Hellguard and Juliet focused their barrage attacks on the last Bolt spitter and with enough punishment finally managed to killing him as Beliar rolled his eyes and said "They did their part well enough…"

Uriel flew out of the Tower and charged the Demons and ordered her Hellguard soldiers "HELLGUARD ATTACK!"

Bayonetta seeing that the Hellguard were charging in took this moment to squat down and tend to Death but sound of Beliar's chain axes caught her attention.

Bayonetta looked up to see the Demon Lord ready to fight her as he shouted "It's nothing personal Horseman, I have maintain my family reputation despite how much Belial was a disappointment!"

Bayonetta stood up her eyes masked in shadow and remove her nun outfit leaving her naked as her hair extended and formed her skin tight Umbra suit.

Bayonetta glowed a purple aura as she summoned two demonic swords in each hand but strangely enough the blades were similar to chainsaws.

The two chain swords in Bayonetta's hands caught Beliar's eye as he exhaled in awe of her weapons and complimented "Such well made Demonic weapons… who made such a thing I must know?!"

Bayonetta cracked her neck from left to right and coldly ordered "Keep your filthy hands off (Holds up chain swords) my Salamandra!"

Beliar scoffed with an unamused tone and weakly countered "I don't take suggestions hairless ape!"

Bayonetta revved her Salamandra's handles and countered coldly "It wasn't a suggestion."

Bayonetta charged at Beliar who in turn charged back until Beliar swung his axe down at Bayonetta who used her Salamandras to block his attack. The two combatants' weapons sparked from the teeth of their chainsaw weapons as Beliar used his second axe to swipe at Bayonetta's legs.

But Bayonetta leaped into the air with blinding speeds and attempted to swipe her Salamandras down at Beliar's head but he rolled out of the way.

Bayonetta landed and turned to face Beliar and thought to herself "He's fast… and his reaction timing is impressive…"

Beliar grinned with excitement as he revved his axes once more ready for another round for himself and Bayonetta. But suddenly a barrage of explosions hit the ground around Beliar who looked up to see Juliet sliding down the side of the tower.

Juliet was seen firing rapid blasts from her cannon as she slid causing debris to fall down as she quickly leaped off and magically changed her cannon into a chainsaw. Bayonetta smiled before leaping out at Beliar who clashed his axes with her but Juliet took advantage of the Demon's momentary distraction and cut the right side of his face.

Beliar's cheek bleed as he growled in anger before shoving Bayonetta off with surprising strength before blindly charging after Juliet shouting "YOU INSIGINIFICANT HAIRLESS MONKEY! YOU DARE STRIKE A DEMON LORD?!"

Juliet back-flipped multiple times avoiding Beliar's axes as she taunted "You mean a lesser Demon Lord?"

Beliar snarled in fury before Bayonetta sliced his right arm with one of her Salamandras making him roar out in pain. Bayonetta smirked but it quickly turned to a look of surprise as she noticed her sword's teeth were suddenly stopped by Beliar's bone in his muscular arm.

Beliar attempted to strike Bayonetta with his axe but she back-flipped away and kicked his chin in the process before she stood beside Juliet.

Juliet seeing Beliar's arm with a large wound but his bone remained unharmed made her question "What the hell man?!"

Bayonetta sighed and responded with a irritated voice "Unbreakable bones… wonderful!"

Beliar held up his right arm and kept his gaze upon both Juliet and Bayonetta and showed off his power by merely flexing his muscles.

The flexing of Beliar's own muscles caused his flesh to regenerate quickly to the point where it was only just a scar upon his arm as he sighed in relief and taunted "I doubt you two have suck bones and regenerative abilities!"

Bayonetta squinted at Beliar's arm and leaned towards Juliet and suggested "Hey let's try cutting him again."

Juliet turned her head towards Bayonetta and questioned as Beliar charged at them "What why?"

Bayonetta and Juliet rolled out of Beliar's way as he tried to swing both axes at them but missed as they regrouped for Bayonetta to respond "I think his healing can be overworked seeing that he still has a scar on his arm from my cut…"

Beliar turned around and gave a war-cry "WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGHHHHHHHHHHH!"

Juliet sighed and responded while taking stance "Worth a shot… I guess."

Bayonetta also took stance with her Salamandras as Beliar charged at them both but Bayonetta jumped over him as Juliet dived between his legs. Bayonetta cut left Beliar's shoulder as Juliet cut his shin making him roar in pain as he stumbled and violently rolled on the ground.

Bayonetta and Juliet watched as Beliar gave a gurgling growl as he flexed his leg which quickly healed his shin which also left a scar.

Beliar panted in a strained tone as Bayonetta noticed he had to heal one wound at a time and informed Juliet "He can't heal more than one wound at a time… poor lil devil."

Juliet smirked and teased while holding up her chainsaw "Wanna give this bat some more cuts?"

Bayonetta took stance and responded with a pleasing tone "Let's fucking go sister!"

Beliar panted heavily as he flexed his shoulders as his eyes glowed a fiery orange as his shoulder healed leaving another scar. Both Bayonetta and Juliet charged at Beliar who revved his chain axes once more causing them to fume black smoke and be wreathed in hellfire.

Beliar slammed the sides of his axes together causing a large shockwave of Demonic hellfire that which Uriel saw while impaling a Fallen Demon in the mouth. Uriel eyed Bayonetta and Juliet charging at Beliar and quickly kicked the Demon off her sword.

Uriel dived down flung her sword into the ground in front of the hellfire and split it in half which kept both Bayonetta and Juliet safe. Uriel crashed down in front of her sword as the hellfire swirled around and formed a flame like clone of Beliar.

Bayonetta and Juliet walked up to Uriel who stood up and ripped her sword from the ground and pointed it at Beliar as Bayonetta elbowed her arm and teased "Perfect timing, little Angel."

Uriel charged at Beliar who clash blades with her as Bayonetta leaped out at Beliar but the fiery clone tackled in in midair. Juliet eyed Bayonetta who kicked the fiery clone off her with enough force to send it flying into the side of the tower.

Bayonetta turned towards Juliet and point at Uriel and ordered "I've got this fiery lil devil, go help our feathered friend!"

Juliet passively saluted Bayonetta off and ran towards Uriel and Beliar as they battled before leaping out and cut his right side making roar in pain "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGHHHHHHH!"

Beliar dropped to one knee growling in pain as Uriel raised her sword and swung it down upon the Demon Lord who raised his axes and blocked the attack. Uriel's blade was caught in the teeth of Beliar's axes as his wound healed but slower and left behind another scar.

Beliar sighed in relief before squinted at Uriel as he slowly stood up, his shadow eclipsing over the Angel. Beliar's back and shoulder began to grow more spikes and further the length of his already protruding spikes as he hissed in anger.

Beliar breathed fire onto the teeth of both of his axes and began to swing them all around causing both Uriel and Juliet to avoid his attacks. With Bayonetta who was seen waving her Salamandras towards herself taunting the fiery clone who climbed out of the side of the tower and breathed fire at her.

Bayonetta scoffed in an unimpressed manner as she used her flame hollow form to be completely immune to the clone's hellfire.

The fiery clone grunted to see Bayonetta's suit glowed a fiery orange as she impaled her swords into the ground and crossed her arms and taunted "My things are getting heated aren't they my little fire devil?"

The fiery clone snarled before launching itself out at Bayonetta who uncrossed her arms and took up her swords once more and shouted with a hyped tone "BRING IT!"

The fiery clone slammed down and with blinding speeds and reflexes swung his fists at Bayonetta who merely stood still as she was completely immune to it's attacks.

Bayonetta swiped her swords through the fiery clone and saw that it was completely unharmed by her attacks as she teased "My a stalemate? I think not!"

Bayonetta changed her form into the stasis hollow and enhanced her swords with her power and taunted "Come and get me!"

The fiery clone threw it's fists down at Bayonetta who swipped her blades in a crossing motion completely cutting off it's arm. The fiery clone hissed smoke before jumping away from Bayonetta and looked at it's stump arm as it smoked.

Bayonetta formed a smug smirk and licked her lips as the fiery clone held out it's arm that was now a stump as it instantly regrew back it's arm.

Bayonetta raised a brow and teased "Oooooh joy we can have more fun!"

The fiery clone charged at Bayonetta but suddenly was being bombarded with holy blasts of energy as a large group of larger Angels flew into the battle. The Angels wore heavier armor for their bulkier build as other wielded shields and large swords other held Redemption cannons.

Beliar growled in annoyance as he continued to battle with both Juliet and Uriel while one of the heavy Angels who held a Redemption cannon shot at him.

The blast fired from the Angel's cannon struck the right side of Beliar's face making him roar out in pain "BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!"

Beliar dropped one of his axes and held onto the right side of his face as Uriel twirled her sword and held it at Beliar's heart and said with a cold tone "Beliar, Lord of the Brimstone Legion, I hereby end your vile existence!"

Beliar quickly shoved Uriel away with his free hand as he stood up and removed his right hand from his face revealing his wound exposed half of his skull as he threatened "LIKE HELL YOU DAMN PIGEON!"

Beliar picked his axe back into his hand and revved both of them as he took stance ready for another fight with Uriel and Juliet. But with Death who was still on his knees grasping his still bleeding wound as the fight between Beliar and the three ladies continued.

But suddenly the incomplete Rod of Arafel atop the tower shook on it's own before floating up and flew down in front of Death ominously. Death's vision blurred as he heard a man casually whistling while an Angel impaled his spear through a Demon's torso.

Death could vaguely hear the sounds of footsteps as a vaguely humanoid being walked towards him with a seemingly enthusiastic stride. The being playfully twirled a cane on his finger as he wore a black top hat, his chest bare and had a hole glowing red with some form of Demonic energy.

The being stopped twirling his cane as Death looked up to see the being smoking a cigarette on a long and thin cigarette pipe holder.

The being looked down upon Death as he blew smoke out of his mouth with a smile and teased with a British accent "Well, well, well look what we have here another Horseman here on Earth? How curious all four of you at some point have come here within a short timespan of the start of the Apocalypse!"

Death sighed in annoyance and responded "Ohhhh… not you!"

The being pulled out his cigarette holder and flicked it away and responded "Ohhhh… didn't you miss me? The Great trickster and Master of the Crucible, Wicked Killington?"

Death shook his head and responded coldly "Not once."

Killington playfully grasped his chest and joked "Oh you wound me good sir, not only did you and your lovely lady ignored my invitation to the Crucible you also dare to forget me? Tsk tsk tsk can't let allow that my dear Rider!"

Death groaned in pain as he responded "Why are you here Killington?"

Killington chuckled in amusement as he held out his hand and summoned the last piece of the rod the Eye of Arafel and said "It seems you've hit a snag in your quest I think I can be of help."

Death eyed Killington with a distrustful glare and questioned "At what cost?"

Killington smirked and stated "Oh nothing yet, I will come at a later date to call in the favor!"

Death growled in annoyance and responded "Fine… just give me the damn piece!"

Killington handed the Eye of Arafel to Death who placed it onto the staff and caused the completed rod to glow a holy radiant aura. The Rod floated over Death as it seemingly acted on it's own free will and caused a huge explosion of holy energy.

The explosion expanded and when it hit Beliar he screamed out in pain while his own flesh burned off his bones "REEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!"

The fiery clone of Beliar evaporated into smoke as Bayonetta's body formed a purple electrical surge making her fall onto one knee and sigh in mild pain. Uriel opend out her arms and wings and felt refreshed by the holy energy from the explosion as Juliet grasped her head and seemed dazed.

Death panted heavily as the staff dropped as it gave a faint hiss which almost sounded like a refreshed sigh of relief. Killington grinned before vanishing in front of Death's eyes as he groaned lowly in annoyance.

Bayonetta stood up as her electrical surge powered down as she noticed and eyed her hands and thought to herself "Wow I have more control over my Lumen powers than before… heh daddy will be proud."

Bayonetta walked passed Beliar's still smoking skeleton as she noticed that Belial's skeleton was also what was left of him.

Bayonetta reached Death and helped him onto his feet and asked "Are you alright darling?"

Death panted and responded "I will be… but now that the Rod is complete we can return to the Archon and gain access to his fallen city."

But the sound of a growl was heard as Death froze at the sight which Bayonetta and the others turned to face what the Rider was facing as Juliet shouted in shock "OH COME THE FUCK ON!"

Beliar's smoking skeleton slowly rose up his black heart completely exposed behind his ribcage as his bloodshot eyes twitched. Beliar turned around and huffed smoke as his leg trembled weakly as he growled in anger before teleporting away.

Leaving the remainder of his forces to fend for themselves Beliar had left his Demons to the mercy of Uriel's Hellguard who had none to spare.

The Hellguard slayed the remaining Demons without hesitation as Bayonetta formed a impressed smirk and said "These Angels are fun to fight alongside with love."

Death scoffed denial his own respect for the Hellguard as Uriel stated "The bastard escape and no doubt he will call for aid from one of his allies to raze this whole city, my men and I will have to leave before that happens."

Bayonetta eyed Death who noticed her stare and asked "Oh don't tell me you want to help them!"

Bayonetta gave a sly grin as a simple response as Juliet said "Well I'd like to help you guys out before I go, to honor Hunter's memory one last time."

Beliar's outpost

Beliar teleported in the center of his outpost as he fell to his knees with his servants gasping in shock at the sight of their Lord's skeletal state.

Beliar eyed his servants and shouted in both pain and anger "DON'T JUST STAND THERE YOU IDIOTS! GET THE SHADOWCASTER AND BRING HIM TO ME!"

The Demons fled from Beliar's sight as Vex strode by and eyed Beliar and winced at the sight and joked "And here I thought I looked hideous in the mirror eeek!"

Beliar groaned in annoyance and held his anger back as he responded "Not… now Vex!"

Vex shrugged and ignored Beliar's demand and said "Oh no, I am having too fun mocking you creepy lookin son of a bitch!"

Beliar sighed in annoyance once more and responded "You are the worst kind of Demon Vex!"

Vex chuckled in amusement and responded "I try my best to be so."

Beliar growled lowly and responded "Well you're good at it now stop!"

Vex placed his hand on his blubbery chin and responded "Hmmmmm… uhhhh fine."

The Shadowcaster floated out and eyed Beliar and was quick to open all four of his palms and questioned "My Lord… the Orb is ready for use."

The Herald, Mistress and Arbiter entered the stronghold of Samael and looked around to see that most of it was already falling apart. The Mistress turned around and saw a large strange circular rune on the wall with green colored lines.

The Mistress eyed the rune as she could sense Oblivio's presence as he telepathically said "So… this is what Lucifer wanted erased… a time window… this explains much of how Samael gained a degree of omniscience… Lucifer is trying to weaken a rival!"

The Arbiter and Herald turned towards the rune as the Herald asked "What is you command my Master?"

Oblivio responded "Leave it for now, it is a powerful relic, to see into one's own future and past simultaneously it will prove to be a worthy source of energy… you three prepare for my arrival!"
