A.n I own Nothing.
So this Chapter went from Dark to Very Dark...to worse...you've been warned.
Please Review
The Batmobile came to a stop in front of the Javelin, the Justice League plane was settled in one of Metropolis's larger parks. Batman didn't bother looking at the plane and opened the canopy of the Batmobile. He wasn't alone, inside were the sleeping forms of Superman and Green Lantern.
Both weren't in their costumes. Instead, they were wearing loose-fitted pants and no shirts.
After Alucard had informed Batman of the attack in his dream by Jon Dee, who was now calling himself Dr. Destany, Batman had immediately tried to contact the Leaguers who had gone home and warn them not to go to sleep. But when no one picked up their coms or phones; Batman knew it was too late.
He had Alucard check on Hawk Girl, Wonder Woman, and J'onn. Only to find them deep within asleep and no matter what they tried neither could get them to wake up. Thankfully they didn't appear to be in any kind of danger yet, Batman had Alucard move them to the infirmary just encase.
After that, he and Alucard had used the Javelin to come back to earth to pick up the rest of the Justice League. Batman had wanted to use Castlevania to get to the justice league and bring them to the tower faster, however, Alucard was concerned the castle may lash out at the league and harm them because it would sense Dr. Destany in their dreams and the vampire was not sure that the castle would try and deal with the intruder.
Particularly after said intruder had just attacked its lord. Alucard had no idea what effect that would have on the justice league so they had little choice but to use the Javelin. They had started with Flash in Central city and then moved to Metropolis to get Superman and Green Lantern. Batman did the picking up as he knew where all the Justice League members lived.
Batman walked around the outside of the Batmobile and using his own body to support the limp forms of his college he hoisted Superman out first and dragged him over to the Javelin. Alucard walked down the ramp as he approached and took the man of steel from Batman; easily carrying him into the plane.
Batman went back to his car and retrieved flash, the flash was easier and lighter than Superman and he carried Green Lantern onto the plane.
Inside, Alucard was kneeling in front of a still sleeping Superman, the vampire had placed him in a chair and strapped him in. His eyes darting over Supermans body rapidly, as if he was looking for something. The sleeping form of Flash was in a chair opposite Superman. Like the others Flash was not in costume, he was still in his pyjamas, however, he was wearing his mask.
"Anyone give you any trouble?" Batman asked as he entered.
"No…a few police stopped by to see what the emergency was but that was all," Alucard answered.
Batman nodded. He sat Green Lantern down on one of the seats in the Javelin and strapped him in.
"How are they?" Batman asked.
"They are fine…for the moment," Alucard said "Though…how long they will remain as such, I do not know,"
"I gave them some stimulants, but with Flash hypermetabolism and Supermans biology I don't know if it will help,"
"Hmm…"
"I've pre-programmed the javelin to take you back to the Watchtower, just press this button to start the plane," Batman instructed and his finger rested on one of the buttons on the Javelins console. "this one to open and close the Watchtower doors when you approach," he pointed to another "and this one to land and shut down the plane," Batman continued and pointed to the last button.
"When you get back, wake J'onn first. He might be able to use his telepathy to aid the others," Batman instructed "and keep me updated, any change and I want to know about it"
"I will," Alucard promised.
Batman nodded, he took one last long look at the sleeping league members before turning away and walking out of the Javelin. Alucard followed him to the edge of the ramp.
"Batman be careful if you fall asleep even for a moment…" Alucard started.
"Just look after them and don't worry about me, I'm used to staying up all night," Batman said. He got back in the Batmobile and started the engine, he then took a subtle glance around "and I had better not find any bite marks on any of them," he added in a harsh voice.
Alucard let out a sigh but didn't respond. He walked back into the Javelin and the ramp closed behind him. Batman waited until the Javelin had taken off before he closed the Batmobile canopy and drove off.
"Right, first stop. Dee's ex-wife," Batman said.
Watch Tower, Earth's Orbit
The Javelin entered the watchtower bay doors and landed safely. Once the doors were closed and the bay pressurized the plane's ramp opened and Alucard walked out, carrying all three sleeping members of the Justice League. Drawing on a little magic to increase his supernatural speed, he was able to get to the infirmary in very little time.
Once there Alucard placed the remaining Justice League members in medical tubes. The watchtower infirmary was different from the standard hospital setup. Instead of beds, they had medical tubes that were separated evenly across the Infirmary's wall and assisted with recovering. They also had their monitors for each tube. This is because the medical facilities in the watchtower were based on a combination of both Kryptonian and Martian design.
The design had been Kryptonian, curtsy of Superman and J'onn had used his knowledge of his races advanced medical technology to not only integrate the two designs. This was a boon when half of the League was not from the earth as it would be easier to treat the aliens on the team.
Hawk Girl had been asked about her peoples' medical technology as well. But other than providing a way to minimize power costs for the station as a whole, she didn't know enough about how Thanagar medical technology worked to contribute. When Alucard had first been shown the Infirmary he had been highly fascinated by it himself.
Thankfully Alucard had seen Batman set Wonder Woman and Hawk Girl up in their tubes and he was able to recreate what Batman did. Once Flash, Superman, and Green Lantern were set up and being monitored Alucard checked the vitals of the other. The only tube that was not turned on was J'onns, this was because Batman wanted him to wake up first. The Leauge was worse off than when he and Batman had left them. Their heart rates were a lot faster now and their blood pressure was higher. Despite that, they remained asleep.
Alucard had little doubt that the longer they remained asleep, the harder it would be to wake them up. He knew of a few night creatures who held power similar to Jon Dee, those creatures fed on dreams, leaving only nightmares behind. Alucard turned away and looked at a small table next to a medial console with a screen above it.
Sitting on the table was the pointed jagged-edged red crystal the Librean had used. Alucard walked over and carefully picked up the crystal, he went to stand in front of J'onn; Cupping the crystal in his hands by the base.
"Grant me passage into the dream realm, allow me to witness what they most hold dear. Give me the power of control and witness what the League most fear," Alucard chanted. As he did an air began to swirl around and blow at the base of his legs and crystal glowed.
When Alucard opened his eyes again, he was no longer on the watchtower, he was in a burning city that looked foreign to him, there were bodies of green humanoid beings as well as white humanoids shooting and destroying everything around him.
As Alucard was taking in his surroundings, four of the white beings came running at him. Alucard got ready to fight, however, the being passed him by, and one of them went straight through him like he wasn't even there.
"Interesting," Alucard said. He walked over to a building and reached out to touch it, only for his hand to go completely through it as if he was a ghost. Alucard pulled his hand back and looked at it "Very interesting,"
He then looked around "Now, where is J'onn being held?" he asked.
Suddenly the crystal in his hand glowed and a tiny red beam shot out of it and pointed into
"Useful," Alucard commented and he started to follow the beam of light. He followed it through the burning city until he came upon a house with several of those white creatures outside and all of them were chanting.
"It's your fault,"
"You did this,"
"You are to blame,"
"If not for you they would still be alive,"
"Burn with your family, burn with your world, burn knowing you could not save them,"
Alucard turned the chanting out and walked through the crowd, he entered the house, and what he saw made his heartache. Inside J'onn holding the bodies of a female Martian and two younger ones. The bodies of the Justice League were also littered about and the raging fire had was consuming the house.
Alucard felt for J'onn, he knew that the Martian was the last of his kind. But to have Dr. Destiney show him his whole world burning and his family's death was horrible. His dream had been bad and he had hoped the rest of the league's dreams where not as painful as what Dee had put himself through. He had been wrong and Alucard did not want to imagine what kind of nightmares the others were having.
Taking a deep breath Alucard stepped forward and stood above J'onn.
"J'onn," he said softly. However, he didn't get a response.
"Go away," J'onn responded with a voice filled with sorrow.
"J'onn you have to listen to me…this isn't real," Alucard tried.
"Stop it," J'onn whispered.
"What?"
"I said stop it…stop pretending to be my friend," J'onn shouted angrily "Leave me to die in peace,"
"I am not pretending," Alucard claimed.
"GO AWAY!" J'onn shouted. Suddenly Alucard was blown back through the house and flung out into the street. He landed with a grunt as he scraped across the ground.
"Ow," Alucard hissed out and he rubbed his arm. He checked to make sure the red crystal was not damaged and thankfully it wasn't. It concerned him that J'onn still held such power over his mental state even within the chaos that Dr. Destiny had created. Though Alucard did wonder why the martin hadn't woken up or fought back yet.
"My my, this is unexpected," a new voice spoke.
Alucard whirled around to see Dr. Destany standing behind him.
"Who knew the Martian Manhunter is so quick to reject help…he must be eager to die," Dr. Destany said.
"You," he hissed "You will pay dearly for what you did to me and my friends,"
"Hmm…doubtful, it was by mere fluke that you escaped," Dr. Destany scoffed "Though I am curious as to how you are here,"
"With this," Alucard said and held up the Red crystal. Dr. Destiny's eyes narrowed at the crystal.
"What is that thing exactly," he asked, trying to keep calm. But Alucard could tell the crystal frighted him.
"It's called the Dream stone, it lets me project my concessions into the dream realm and…well control it," Alucard claimed "My librarian showed me how to use it…he's rather upset with you,"
"I see, I will not be beaten a second time," Dr. destiny proclaimed. He reached out with his hand and the crystal shattered into thousands of tiny pieces. Dr. Destany smirked; however, his victory was short-lived as the stone suddenly reformed in Alucard's hand and the vampire returned dr. Destiny's shocked expression with his smirk.
"That will not work. Like you and I the stone not here. If you wish to prevent me from meddling you will have to find and destroy it in the physical world," Alucard claimed.
"Then I shall just re-trap you here,"
"You can't, the stone lets me move through dreams at will. Like you, I can now have the power over dreams…and I plan to use it to set my friends free," Alucard claimed. He then gave Dr. Destany a very deadly look "and then I am coming for you,"
"You will never find me,"
"Oh, but I will believe me when I say there is nowhere on earth you can hide from me. There is no place in in the physical world or the dream world that you will be safe from me," Alucard threatened "and when I am through with you…you will beg for a death I will never grant,"
"You do not scare me,"
"Then you do not know what real fear is…but I will show you. After I save the justice league," Alucard said in a deadly tone and he walked past Dee.
Dr. Destany let him past and watched as he walked back up to the house. However, unlike before an invisible barrier stopped him. Alucard reached out to touch the barrier blocking his way.
"He will not let you back in, that is he's doing and not mine," Dr. Destany claimed as he walked up behind him.
"He will," Alucard responded.
Alucard took a deep breath and got down on his hands and knees, Dr. Destany watched with interest. White fur began to grow out of Alucard's body as he shifted into his wolf form. Once the transformation was complete, the wolf picked up the Dream stone in its mouth. J'onn may not let human form Alucard in, but the vampire was hoping he might let Winter, the white wolf in.
He reached out to the barrier with his paw, and much to Alucard's delight it passed through without issue. The Wolf grinned and he walked through the barrier unhindered.
"No," Dr. Destany shouted. He ran at the barrier only to be blocked and found he could not pass. The wolf gave him a smirk before it turned away and ran back into the house. J'onn had not moved from his previous spot and Alucard trotted up to him carefully, he did not want to be blown out of the house again.
Alucard gave J'onn a gentle nudge with his snout and The Martin looked up and stared at the wolf in surprise. The martin was not expecting the dog to be here.
"Winter?" J'onn asked in shock.
The wolf nodded and sat in front of him.
"How…How are you here? You have to leave, the Imperium will kill you," J'onn claimed urgently.
The wolf merely stayed put and tilted its head. It then looked down at the bodies and let out a low sad whine.
"They were my family, my wife Maria, and our two daughters," J'onn explained sadly. Winter let out a mournful whine. He then stood up and moved closer, nuzzling his fur against J'onns arm in comfort and sympathy.
"They killed them, I could not protect them," J'onn continued as tears fell from his eyes "I joined the resistance to protect them and I failed. They died in the end…everyone died…everyone but me,"
J'onn looked over at the bodies of the justice League "and now they have died too…the earth will die as well, and it's my fault,"
"Leave me be winter, if you stay with me…you will die too,"
Winter looked up at J'onn critically. The wolf pulled back and walked in front of J'onn, he gently placed the Dream stone on the ground in front of him.
"What is that," J'onn asked curiously.
Winter barked and placed a paw on the crystal and then barked again.
"You want me to touch this?"
The wolf gave another happy bark in response.
Suddenly Dr. Destiny's voice filled the area. "No…do not touch that, it's a trick that mutt is trying to tick you,"
J'onn looked around, he hadn't heard that voice before and he could not see where it was coming from. "Who is that? Is someone alive out there?" J'onn asked, both frightened and hopeful at the same time.
Winter barked again, this time with more urgency. J'onn looked at the dog and then back into the surrounding flames; trying to decide who to listen to. He didn't know what the wolf was up too but he reached out to touch the crystal.
The moment he did Alucard's voice filled his mind.
"J'onn, this is a dream, it's not real. Please I can not help you if you keep me out," Alucard voice said. It sounded desperate, almost like the vampire was begging for help.
"Alucard?" J'onn gasped "How…your dead…How are you talking to me,"
"Die? J'onn I have never died before…I am immortal remember," Alucard's voice pointed out. "The world you see isn't real. You're trapped within a nightmare and if you don't wake…you will die,"
"Then I can finally be with my family again," J'onn said.
Alucard's voice went silent for a moment, though to J'onn it felt like hours. When he didn't get a response, he looked at Winter who had a very shocked and sad look in his eyes.
"Do you truly wish that?" Alucard's voice finally responded.
"I do not understand, surely you know and understand the pain of living when all you love is gone," J'onn said.
"If that is your wish, I will leave you, I will let you die in peace…but know that your other family is in danger too,"
"Other…family?"
An image of the justice league in the infirmary filled J'onns mind. However, the rest of the league were not sleeping peacefully, they were thrashing about and screaming, begging for help that would not come. Then an image of Batman who was fighting an unknown opponent in the shadows and finally an image of Dr. Destany appeared with his arms and hands outstretched over the previous images and a look of sick glee on his face. Watching everyone suffer.
J'onn reeled back from the images.
"But…they're…" he gasped and turned once more to look at the leagues' dead bodies.
"They are not…not yet. Wake up J'onn, help me save them. There is still time," Alucard's voice pleaded "You still hold power, you can break free,"
J'onn looked down at his wife and two children, he pulled them into a tearful hug.
"Maria, I want so badly to be with you and our people once more," J'onn whispered, as he held his family, however, he let go of them and slowly stood up; taking a step away from them. "But my new family needs me,"
J'onn focused and a door opened up behind him and J'onn looked through it, he could see the Watchtower infirmary on the other side. He then looked down at the wolf by his side.
"Thank you again, my friend," J'onn said giving Winter a pat which the wolf allowed and gave a happy yelp "I do not know how you came here, but I hope you can find your way back,"
Winter gave J'onn an approving bark.
"Then I will see again," J'onn said and he walked through the door.
Watch Tower Infirmary
J'onns eyes snapped open and he found himself in the phased through it and looked around. He was in the infirmary. He glanced at the other members of the justice league who were in their tubes and then he noticed Alucard sprawled lying on the ground with the red crystal in his hand.
"Alucard," J'onn cried out and he immediately went to the vampire's side "Alucard wake up," he called trying to wake the vampire up.
Alucard's eyes didn't open and nor did he show any response to J'onns attempts to wake him. J'onn recalled what Alucard's voice had said to him in his nightmare. He hoped that by waking him up Alucard had not become trapped himself.
J'onn gently reached out with his mental powers to try and reach Alucard's mind. However, instead, he found he couldn't sense anything. It was as if Alucard's mind was no longer in his body. J'onn was unsure what to do. He then noticed the stone in Alucard's hand.
"That stone, it's the same as the one Winter had," J'onn realized. He then looked down at Alucard in shock "Could he be…"
J'onn looked up at the other tubes and noted that all but one member of the Justice League was in the infirmary. Batman was missing.
"Batman…he's not here," J'onn realized. He gently lowered Alucard's head back on the floor and went over to the console, turning it on and activating the communication line.
"Watchtower to Batman," J'onn said "Batman are you there?"
Batman was driving away from Metropolis general hospital. He had been to Dees ex-wife's home only to find it empty. After a quick check of local reports, he learned that she had been taken to hospital by her new partner. However, when he arrived, he found that Dee's ex-wife was already dead. The police were there asking questions regarding her death. Since she had been in perfect health and Batman had questioned the new partner. But he had assured Batman that she was in perfect health and the only odd thing she had done in the last 24hrs was have a little too much to drink before going to bed that evening.
"Watchtower to Batman," J'onns voice came through the commlink, he sounded desperate "Batman are you there?"
Batman smiled. Looks like Alucard had succeeded in removing J'onn from Dee's grasp; now they had a fighting chance at saving the others.
"Batman, good to hear from you," Batman said.
"You too, I am glad you're not dead,"
"Not yet anyway," Batman responded, "are you alright?"
"Yes, I'm a little on edge but overall alright. But something is wrong with Alucard, he's lying on the floor of the infirmary and is unresponsive,"
"you didn't touch him, did you?"
"I did, but he didn't respond and I could not reach him with my mental powers," J'onn answered.
"Did you move him or the red crystal?"
"No, I just lifted his head a bit,"
"Good, leave him and whatever you do. Do not touch that red crystal,"
"But…"
"His words not mine. The League are being attacked in their dreams, Alucard says he can use it to break Dees hold on the rest of the league as long as it and his body aren't disturbed. I told him to wake you first,"
"Dee? Jon Dee?" J'onn asked "What does he have to do with anything,"
"He's an unregistered meta, he was participating in research into ESP. Something went wrong right before that mass break out and now, he has the power to turn dreams into nightmares and plans to kill us by trapping us in our worst fears," Batman explained.
"That's not good, Batman, where are you?"
"I've just come from Metropolis hospital, Dees wife just passed away. According to her new partner, she started screaming in her sleep and when he couldn't wake her, he took her to the hospital," Batman explained "J'onn you need to help Alucard wake the others before Dee kills them too,"
"I will start with Superman," J'onn agreed "I will do my best to help them,"
"Good, I'm trying to track down Dee. If I can find him, maybe his hold will break if I knock some sense into him,"
"But please be careful not fall asleep yourself Batman. Dee's power and what he makes you see is terrifying,"
"No problem there, but J'onn…hurry. Dee's ex-wife died only two hours after going to sleep. It's just under 90 minutes since we finished up in metropolis. The others are strong but they won't hold out for long," Batman warned and he hung up.
"Both Alucard and J'onn were afraid when they woke up. Dee, what kind of twisted mind do you have to make a Vampire and the strongest telepath in the universe so afraid," Batman wondered.
Wonder Woman's Dream
Alucard emerged in Wonder Woman's Dream, looking around he recognized some of the buildings as Greek architecture. His eyes trailed over the dead bodies of the female warriors that littered the ground and he assumed that this was a dream version of Themyscira. But it didn't feel like the Amazonian civilization he had visited previously.
"Well…this is unusual," Alucard muttered to himself as he began his trek to find Wonder Woman "I do hope not all of the leagues dreams are apocalyptic nightmare scapes,"
He wandered through the dream looking for Wonder Woman. As he did flames tried to block his way But Alucard merely walked through them without hesitation. A few buildings and columns also collapsed but again the vampire navigated the hazards with ease. The further he got into the city of Themyscira the more hazards tried to block his way.
Eventually, Alucard stopped as a portion of the land beneath his feet gave way and collapsed; creating a large chasm, Lava burst out like an erupting volcano. Alucard raised an eyebrow and let out a sigh, he looked up and saw that Dr. Distality was floating above him, likely causing the hazards and trying to prevent him from reaching Wonder Woman. Alucard gave him a flat unimpressed look.
"Fuck off," Alucard said. The dream-stone glowed red and the fires, broken buildings, and even the newly formed lava chasm re-formed and went back to how they should have been. Undamaged as if Dr. Destiney's influence had never been there.
"Better luck next time," Alucard gave Dr. Destiny a mocking smirk before moving on.
Finally, after making his way through the city he found Wonder Woman, chained up to a broken column. Her head was down and she was panting heavily. Alucard frowned, he did not like seeing Wonder Woman this way. A proud and brave warrior brought to her knees and forced to stay on them. He took a deep breath and approached knowing that Dr. Destiny was likely watching.
"Hello Wonder Woman," Alucard greeted and he stopped a few feet away from her.
Wonder Woman's head snapped up, Alucard saw she had deep tear streaks down her eyes, she had been crying, and judging from her current state, Dr. Destiney had not been kind to her.
He eyed the injuries on her body, the torn clothes, the whip marks, and red-raw skin around her neck that could have only come from someone strangling her. He titled his head and looked at Wonder Woman's legs. They were bruised and sore, from the way Wonder Woman was trembling Alucard had a pretty good idea of what happened to her in this nightmare.
He let out a deep guttural growl, even though this was a dream and he knew that none of it was real. He couldn't help but want to kill Dr. Destiny. Once he got his hands-on Dee, Alucard made a silent vow to make him suffer in ways beyond human comprehension.
"Alucard…you have to leave, you have to run before Hades comes back," Wonder Woman pleaded.
"Hades?" Alucard asked confused and tilting his head slightly.
"He's taken over, he's killed you and the others so many times…he'll be back for me again any minute," Wonder Woman claimed "you have to run,"
"Ah…I see…" Alucard looked around and then turned his attention to the sky. "This is rather unsettling and disturbing…are you so insecure with yourself and desperate that you make the bravest warrior on the planet and torture in such a way that is deprived of all human decency just to make yourself feel good?"
"Who are you talking to?" Wonder Woman asked.
"Do not insult me," Dr. Destiny's voice was heard and then he faded into exitance.
"I will do as I please," Alucard shot back.
"Alucard…run that is Hades his right-hand man," Wonder Woman urged. She didn't want Hades to come back and kill Alucard again, that meant the rest of the league would not be far behind and Diana didn't know how much more she could take.
Alucard glanced down and Wonder Woman and then back at Dr. Destiney. "Right hand…really? You control this world and you only place yourself as a second?" he asked mockingly.
"Hades will deal with you," Dr. Destiney snarled.
"Yes, I will kill you, and I…" Hades agreed as the god of the Under World walked up. He was dragging a limp and unconscious Hippolyta; she was in a far worse shape than her daughter and there was blood leaking down her legs.
Hades Dropped here carelessly and approached Alucard.
"Well, well, what do we have here?" Hades asked "A little hero who thinks he can stand up to me, what was your plan? Free Wonder Woman and hope that she could stop me? Ha HA… she's broken, she can't do anything right. Couldn't even stop me from violating her and her mother over and over until they begged to…" but he didn't get to finish as Alucard raised his hand so that it was only inches away from the god's chest.
"HELLFIRE!" Alucard shouted with much more anger and venom in his voice than intended. A Ball of fire with a black core formed in his hand and he blasted Hades at point-blank range with one of his more powerful spells.
Hades screamed in agony as the dark flames engulfed him and he flaunted and stepped back. Trying to put out the flames. Alucard however was not done he marched forward with a very dark expression on his face and the shadows around began to shift.
"Hell Fire, "he repeated and blasted the god again.
Once more Hades cried out in a hellish scream, only this time he collapsed. Alucard stood over him and continued to blast the Under World god over and over until there was nothing left of him. Dr. Destiny could only watch in horror as one of the Greek most powerful Greek gods was brought to his knees and disintegrated.
Once the God was not more Alucard returned to Wonder Woman, not even acknowledging the shocked expression on Dr. Destiny's face. He held out the Dream Stone and the Chains binding Wonder Woman turned into dust and faded away. Wonder Woman fell forward and looked at her now freed wrists in shock.
"This…this can't be…how?" She asked. Unsure what was happening. Alucard bent down on one knee so he was at Diana's eye level and gently lifted her chin so she was looking at him.
"Hades still talks too much," Alucard smirked.
Wonder Woman's stared at Alucard with wide eyes. That had never happened before, after all, hades would always show up, revive and kill the justice league and then have his way with her like he had Hippolyta while Dr. Destiny watched.
"How…he was a god…" Dr. Destiney demanded as he took a step back in fear. He could not believe what he had seen.
Alucard glanced over his shoulder and gave the Dream Walker a dark look before standing up and facing him.
"One of my first encounters with the Justice League was fighting and protecting the world from Hades…it happened right here on this Island," Alucard answered, and then a very sly smile formed on his face "Now if I can defeat the real Hades him in the waking world…what chance does the dream version have?"
"Your lying, you can't have beaten the god of the underworld," Dr. Destiny screamed "He's a god,"
"And?"
"What do you mean and?" Dr. Destiny shouted "He's a god, no one…No human or mortal can even compare to a gods power,"
"But he did," Wonder Woman spoke up. Her voice soft yet filled with realization, as if she was only just remembering something important. She looked up at Dr. Destiny "He did…he stalled him…Alucard was the only one of us who was able to harm Hades," Wonder Woman confirmed. "This…This isn't real," She concluded "It can't be real…"
She then stood up and glared directly at Dr. Destiny. "You are not real,"
Alucard smirked and then turned his attention back to the blue cloaked villain. "You are in trouble now," he stated.
Dr. Destiny looked between the two of them as Alucard stepped back and Wonder Woman approached him, cracking her knuckles with a very upset and angry expression on her face. Dr. Destany paled and took a step back. Wonder reeled back her arm and slammed her fist into his face.
Dr. Destiny flew back and vanished from sight.
Alucard let out a soft chuckle of approval and raised the Dream stone. It glowed red once more and, in a flash, the scene changed from an apocalyptic and burning landscape to the beautiful and bountiful island of Themyscira, one filled with life and vibrant colours.
"Much better," Alucard nodded in approval. He then turned around to face Wonder Woman "Are you alright?"
"I…I think so…I don't know what's going on though," Wonder Woman confessed.
"We are being assaulted in our dreams by Jonathan Dee," Alucard summarised "He has the power of the dream realm…he plans to trap and torture us in our dreams until we die,"
"Hera, is that even possible?"
"It is…he even got to me inside my castle," Alucard claimed.
"It's hard to believe that it was a dream. It felt so real…everything was so real,"
"That is Dee's power, I assure you no injury or trauma sustained here will be visible on your real body,"
"But he…hades he killed you all over and over, he made me watch as he had his way with my mother and then hades…he…he had me too,"
Alucard looked at Wonder Woman in understanding. He reached out and gently pulled her into a hug, given how the amazon warrior was acting Alucard had a good idea of what Dee had made Wonder Woman experience. It made him want to give in to his vampire side. The side of him that was dark and brutal, the side he desperately fought daily so he would never become like his father.
"I cannot erase what was done to you in here…but you are safe in the watchtower. Apart from myself and Batman, no one has been entered the tower. Dee will pay for everything he has done in here…of that you have my word," Alucard swore.
"You're sure?"
"Yes,"
"Alright then," Wonder Woman said and she pulled out of Alucard's arms "How do we stop him?"
"With this," Alucard claimed and showed Wonder Woman the Dream stone "My librarian used it to save me and now I am using it to save the rest of the league while Batman searches for Dee in the waking world,"
"Good then let's go, I really want to punch him again," Wonder Woman said.
"Batman tasked me to wake everyone, I have already freed J'onn and now you," Alucard claimed. He held out the dream stone once more and a red portal appeared. "come, we must aid the others,"
