Chapter 49

A few days later Jack was having breakfast when Holden came down the stairs and into the kitchen;" Good morning."

"Good morning." said his cousin looking up;" Where's Molly?"

"She's taking a shower." answered Holden;" So, Jack….is everything ready for your valentine surprise for Carly?"

"Everything is all set and I'm hoping she will love it." replied he;" Just two more days."

"I'm sure that she will love it." laughed his cousin;" You have really gone all out on this one."

"Carly deserves that, Holden. She deserves an amazing and special valentine's day."said Jack;" If only I could get Janet to sign those damn papers then everything would be perfect."

"Have you tried talking to her again?" asked he;" Maybe if you talked to her again then she would change her mind."

"I have already tried that two times in the last few days, but without any luck. Janet refuses to sign those papers." sighed his cousin frustrated;" Atleast Carly isn't doubting me so much anymore."

"Are things better between you two now?" replied Holden;" Is she beginning to believe that you guys can make it work this time around, Jack?"

"A little bit." answered he;" I'm hoping that my valentine surprise will show Carly that we are meant to be together and that we will make it this time around."

"I hope so too." said his cousin when Molly came down the stairs, into the kitchen;" Hey, honey."

"Hey." smiled Molly as she kissed him and turned towards Jack;" Good morning, Jack."

"Good morning." replied he, got up and walked out the door;" I have to go to work, guys. Bye."

"Bye." answered his friend and turned towards Holden after Jack had left;" He seems nervous."

"He is nervous about valentine's day." said he;" It's in two days and Janet still refuses to sign the divorcepapers."

"Maybe I should have a talk with that woman!" began Molly annoyed;" She should let Jack be happy with Carly."

"I don't think that you talking to Janet will help matters anything, Molly. It will probably make things worse." laughed her boyfriend;" It'll be okay and Jack will figure this out."

"He'd better!" answered she;" If this goes wrong it will destroy my cousin! She can't take another break-up with Jack! She can't, Holden!"

"It will be okay." promised he;" Jack will find a way to fix this and get back together again with Carly."

Terri was having breakfast when Janet came back from the bathroom, after having to rush down there again for the fourth time;" Are you okay?"

"I'm fine." answered she and sat down again;" It's probably a stomach-flu or something."

"Maybe you should see a doctor." suggested her sister worried;" Maybe it's because of all the stress of Liberty being sick and Jack wanting a divorce."

"Maybe." replied Janet softly as she got up again after looking at the time;" I need to go down to the hospital, Terri. Liberty is probably already awake."

"Promise me that you will see a doctor today." said she;" You need to take better care of yourself!"

"I will go and see a doctor." promised her sister;" But it's probably nothing."

"Have you thought anymore about what Jack said to you?" asked Terri hesitating;" Maybe you should sign those papers, Janet. That way you can start fresh and with somebody who does want you."

"We have already been through this enough times, Terri. I'm not signing those damn papers and letting him go back to that lush!" scolded she angry;" This is just a stupid fase that he is going through and I'm not going to let Jack throw away everything that we have."

"I don't think that this is just a fase." answered her sister;" Jack seems serious enough about wanting to divorce you and go back to Carly. Maybe you should just accept it and move on."

"I'm not going to sign those damn papers!" replied Janet as she stormed away;" Never!"
