Take drabbles like this as evidence that I'm reading the books again. Oh, and enjoy it!

Harry, Hermione, Neville, and Malfoy were about to serve their detention. But when Malfoy found out what it was that they would be doing in detention, he was half scared and half furious.

"Going into the Forbidden Forest to do servant work? It's dangerous in there! And in the middle of the night? What kind of a school would be okay with the repercussions punishments like this would have? If my father heard about this..."

"He'd tell yer that's how it is at Hogwarts," Hagrid said fiercely. "For the wrong yer did, doing somethin' like copyin' lines wouldn't teach yer anythin'. If you think yer father would rather have ye expelled, then feel free ter go back an' pack."

"Do you think he actually would still want you at Hogwarts anyway?" Harry asked him.

"No, he wouldn't, Potter. He would be so furious," Malfoy said. "I bet he'd actually let me go to Durmstrang or something."

"Maybe you should tell him then," Hermione suggested.

"I'm with Hermione fully on this one," Harry added, backing up his friend.

"You know what, Granger? Potter? I will do that. Thanks for the suggestion," Malfoy said before waltzing off back to the castle.

Malfoy was admittedly right about some of the things he had just said, though no one would outwardly admit that. What was Hogwarts thinking? Any normal parent would balk at what these kids were about to do.

Regardless, Harry and Hermione, and even Neville grinned at Malfoy walking away. If there was anything good to come now out of this night, it was that Malfoy would very soon no longer be at Hogwarts.
