Chapter 50 Avatar vs Dark Avatar
It's been a few days since the end of the war that Vlad started and since he killed himself for learning the truth about the Dark Master.
And Since Alduin returned to the land of the living once more but hadn't done anything yet.
The world was on high alert ready for anything.
Currently right now Sean was on Air temple island with a container of Vlad's ashes before using airbending to scatter them across the ocean just as Vlad asked before they were completely gone.
"Goodbye Vlad." Sean said before finding a hand on his shoulder making him look seeing Korra who had Katara in her arms.
"You ok?" Korra asked.
"Yeah...I'm just sad we didn't get to save him. But I guess you really can't save someone who doesn't want to be saved. It's sad...But sometimes some people just can't recover from what they went through." Sean said as she held him close making him sigh as he held her back.
"I'm sorry." Korra said.
"It's not your fault. You did everything you could. And that is something I'm thankful for." Sean said kissing her forehead.
Soon the two arrived back to the others seeing Meelo complaining.
"Why aren't we celebrating? We won." Meelo said.
"It's not over." Sean said making his presence known. "As Long as Alduin is out there he'll cause nothing but trouble. And The Chronicler can't predict what he'll do first since his moves are random." Sean said.
"Once we take him down we can look forward to countless years of peace." Hudson said.
"Boring." Meelo said making Ikki and Jinora bonk him on the head before Junior used waterbending to give him an uppercut while Diana used waterbending to give him a wedgie making him shriek in shock making others laugh.
"You will never learn." Sean said.
As everyone was talking Turok was talking with his brothers.
"How did you two even find me and Jinora?" Turok asked suspicious.
"You left your phone on dumbass. What you think we put a tracker in ya?" Sean asked.
"Oh." Turok said.
"Was the FBI line really required?" Will asked chuckling.
"I couldn't resist. And he would do it to both of us." Sean said snickering.
"Whatever." Turok said.
"And don't forget once this is over you are gonna ask Tenzin for his permission to marry Jinora. You're the only one of us who's still not married." Will said.
"Yeah, yeah, yeah." Turok said.
As this was going on Korra was talking with Asami and Opal.
"You two are moving back to the states when this is over?" Asami asked.
"Well...I think some time away from here again would do him some good. Besides Our house got damaged in the war so it's another reason to move back." Korra said.
"I can't blame you for that. I'm heading back home to help rebuild Zaofu since Irons offered to rebuild the domes. Since the ones on the Destroyer are damaged." Opal said glaring at her brother who was talking with Irons and David.
"Come on give him another chance. Remember what the Chronicler said." Korra said.
"Are you saying you forgive Zaheer for what he did?" Opal asked.
"Honestly? I did." Korra said shocking her. "I realized he was right. If we don't give people a second chance who knows where they may end up. Thats exactly how Draco's brother turned into the Dark Master since he never gave him a second chance. And now we have to deal with him in our time." Korra said making her sigh.
"It's just...How can you just forgive someone who helped cause a war for selfish reasons and is responsible for so many deaths?" Opal asked.
"I never said you should forgive him right off the bat. He has to earn that. But you can't just pretend he doesn't exist." Korra said making her sigh.
"No...I guess I can't." Opal said.
"So...How is Sean holding up with Vlad's death?" Asami asked.
"He's all right. Sad for sure no doubt on that. But he'll live and pull through it. It's just gonna take time. And when the Dark Master is finally gone we can finally live in peace for good." Korra said.
"I'm sure he'll be looking forward to that." Asami said making her smile looking forward to them no longer having to be called to action so often.
"GET BACK HERE!" Meelo yelled chasing Junior and Diana as they ran away from him as he had his underwear on his head from a waterbending wedgie.
This made everyone burst out laughing.
"They really do take after him when it comes to pranks." Asami said making Korra laugh.
"Yeah." Korra said as Katara giggled making her smile as she kissed her forehead. "So how are you holding up about your father?" Korra asked making her sigh.
"I'm just glad I was finally able to forgive him. David was right. If I didn't give him another chance I never would have forgiven myself and would haunt me for years." Asami said.
"Mmm. He may be gone but he's always gonna look out for you." Korra said making her smile.
"Seriously I can't take it. We just had a major victory and no one wants to celebrate that? The world is safe again." Meelo said annoyed.
"That part is true...For now." Sean said looking at the city.
"For now?" Meelo asked.
"Remember Alduin is still out there. And as long as he lives the world will never be safe." Adler said.
"And we're doing everything we can to find him and put an end to his madness for good." Hudson said.
Meanwhile
On top of a destroyed building stood Alduin who looked angered.
"How could have my plans have failed?" Alduin asked himself as he looked at the devastation Vlad had caused. "After a million years of plotting. Years of countless fighting and war that I managed to start. Everything now lies in ruin because Vlad couldn't handle the Truth." Alduin said angered by the fact that his student his great Grand Nephew had killed himself because of the Avatars telling him the Truth.
"So you're giving up now old friend?"
"Hmm?" Alduin asked looking up seeing a bright light.
"You're certainly no Dark Master."
"AHH!" Alduin yelled as a flash engulfed him.
Looking around he saw. nothing but devastation.
"What is this pathetic nonsense?" Alduin asked.
"You finally freed yourself and this is all you have to show for it? How dare you give up before the job is done."
Alduin turned before seeing none other than Vaatu.
"Vaatu! How have you escaped the Void?" Alduin demanded.
"I haven't I'm just communicating with you. So you haven't forgotten me like you have your ambition or was it too much for you?" Vaatu questioned.
"You dare talk to me of Ambition? You who hasn't come even CLOSE to destroying Raava and the world every 10,000 years before being cast into the Void! I've come closer to destroying it than you ever have! AAAAH! If not for them! Those accursed Avatars and the Primordials. I would have destroyed the Human race!" Alduin yelled making him laugh.
"Well...Whatever you have to tell yourself old friend." Vaatu said as he began to vanish.
"Vaatu! Come back here you pathetic worm!" Alduin yelled as he vanished before something appeared making him look before seeing Miraak's mask. "Miraak's mask?" Alduin asked as it floated to him before he caught it. "As Pathetic as it sounds...He's right." Alduin said crushing the mask. "I am the Dark Master. I will kill the entire human race and bring Earth to True Peace everlasting! AND NOTHING WILL STAND IN MY WAY!" Alduin yelled before he began to laugh.
Later
"So far everything is pretty much back to normal. I keep running scans to see if I'm wrong. But we still have a big problem. Vlad left one last surprise in the Destroyer. A secondary Power Core thats strong enough to take out two Republic Cities combined." Baatar said.
"Why didn't he mention this before he died?" Taylor asked.
"He was in his final moments after learning the truth. He must have just forgot I'm sure he didn't mean to." Korra said as Sean held her.
"So let's just get it out of there." Woods said.
"I don't think thats a good idea. It could have a fail safe. We need to do this carefully." Baatar said.
"In the event Vlad failed he would activate the secondary core and blow us all up. But because he killed himself he never got the chance after he learned the truth. We need to remove it before we track down the Dark Master." Sean said.
"Like I said we need to be careful. Any number of things could set it off. Even just moving it slightly." Baatar said.
"Where would we need to move it?" Korra asked.
"Space honestly. If we can get it past the Atmosphere it wouldn't cause any harm whatsoever. Add to the fact the destroyer weighs more than your largest Jaegers the cruisers are the only thing that can lift it up." Baatar said.
"And just how are we supposed to do that? The Cruisers aren't ready for space." Shepherd said.
"Actually." Sean said gaining their attention. "I think I can get them ready for space in a few hours. I was working on some upgrades during Korra's third pregnancy. I think they'll be enough to get them into space so we can send the Destroyer flying into the sun." Sean said.
"Your sure about this?" Lyon asked.
"I have complete faith it'll get the job done." Sean said.
"Then let's get the engineers ready to put those upgrades in place. We have to move now." Shepherd said.
Hours later
After hours of making the adjustments to the cruisers they were finally ready to send the Destroyer into space to avoid it exploding in the city.
"We only have three cruisers that are in prime condition to move the destroyer. The others got pretty damaged during the war." Hudson said.
"Three is more than enough." Sean said.
"Right. Lets get this thing moving." Baatar said.
As everyone was getting to their station.
"Sean?" Korra asked getting his attention.
"What is it?" Sean asked.
"I was thinking that after this is over and we finally take down Alduin that we could move back to the States." Korra said.
"Oh?" Sean asked.
"It's just. After everything thats happened maybe some time away from Republic City would do us some good." Korra said making him smile.
"If you're worried about me because of Vlad don't be." Sean said surprising her. "Korra this is home. It's where we started our relationship and where we became so close and how you found me 6 years ago. This is home for both of us." Sean said making her smile. "Until the house is fixed sure we can stay away for a little while. But this is where we belong." Sean said making her nod as she held him close.
"I love you." Korra said.
"I love you too. Now let's get this done and find the Dark Master and finally end this nonsense." Sean said.
Soon all three cruisers were in the air pulling the destroyer in the air.
"Welp. Heres hoping nothing goes wrong." Baatar said.
"Ever heard of tempting fate? Don't say shit like that!" Julia yelled.
"Sorry." Baatar said.
Not too far away however Alduin saw everything.
"Another victory for the Avatars? I don't think so." Alduin said.
All three cruisers continued to pull the destroyer in the air before a storm of red lightning struck all three of them.
"Wait what the hell!" Baatar asked as the cables holding the Destroyer were hit off making it fall the ground before making a large crash before alarms went off inside it.
"Oh no this isn't good." Baatar said alarmed.
"What happened?" Sean asked.
"The secondary core just went online. A countdown just went off. It'll explode in less than 30 minutes." Baatar said from his station.
"How..." Sean tried to ask before the whole room shook violently before a dark laugh was heard making them turn seeing a dark portal appear before Alduin walked in.
"Alduin." Reznov said.
"The war is over Alduin. You've lost. Now you have to pay for all the crimes you've committed over the last one million years. It's been a long time coming." Sean said.
"I'll say when this war is over. And thats when I wipe you Avatars out along with all of humanity." Alduin said glaring at him.
"Bring it on! We'll tear you apart." Joseph said.
"You don't stand a chance against all of us." Noah said.
"Stand down all of you. I have to do this alone." Sean said shocking them.
"What? Why?' Sara asked.
"My Great Grandfather caused this problem because he didn't give him a second chance. I have to fix this mistake." Sean said.
"No way. It's too dangerous." Noah said.
"Trust me." Sean said making him grumble.
"Give me a break. I'm taking him down now." Joesph said about to attack.
"No. Kruger's right he needs to do this alone." Reznov said
"Why?" Joseph asked.
"Because it's his fight. The Chronicler had Zaheer bring him back just for this." Reznov said.
"We need to stop that core from exploding. Lets move!" Julia said as they rushed out before Reznov stepped next to Sean.
"We're here if you need us. Though I really hope it doesn't come to that." Reznov said rushing off.
"You're a fool boy if you think you can take me down alone. You're exactly like my brother." Alduin said.
"I wouldn't just count me out just yet. I have right on my side." Sean said.
"For all the good that did your father when he was alive. I have been around for a million years and am the cause of so much destruction and genocide. Who do you think convinced Fire Lord Sozin to wipe out the Air nomads and start the hundred year war? Who told Unalaq about Vaatu and Miraak? And who do you think twisted Kuvira's actions to what you saw beforehand. All me." Alduin said grinning.
"Oh I'm well aware. And it's time your crimes against Humanity come to an end." Sean said.
"We shall see." Alduin said before their bodies began to glow before growing.
As the others rushed to the destroyer the Town hall was destroyed as they saw Sean in his Exodia form while Alduin was in his Dark Primordial form. (Picture Zorc from the Yugioh tv show)
"Please be careful." Korra said before they rushed off as Sean and Alduin fought one another.
At the crash site several Spirit vines were on fire.
"We need to get those fires under control. They could set off the core." Baatar said.
"We're on it." Ghost said.
"Can you hack into the core and disable the countdown?" Hudson asked.
"I'm trying. I didn't know about this part." Baatar said.
"Keep trying. We gotta keep that core from exploding." Adler said.
"Isn't there an alternative to taking it into space?" Mako asked.
"I think if you submerged it into the ocean it could short circuit everything inside rendering it harmless." Baatar said.
"Then thats our next option. Get those cables back on." Price said.
"We're trying out best. The vines are in the way." Reznov said.
Back at Town Hall
Sean roared as he blasted Alduin with great power making him roar before he punched him down hard making Sean roar loudly.
Thats when Sean turned into Obelisk and roared as he blasted him with great power making Alduin roar loudly before blasting him as well before their combined energies created a shockwave sending them back a little.
"Why throw away your life so recklessly? It's honestly a pity it has to end like this for my brother's bloodline." Alduin said.
Sean roared before punching him back hard making him grunt in pain.
"Thats a question you should ask yourself Alduin!" Sean yelled before blasting him back making him roar. "I'll finish what my Great Grandfather started a million years ago." Sean yelled about to deck him when Alduin blasted him back.
"Is that the best you can do?" Alduin asked.
"The light will always defeat the darkness." Sean said getting up.
"Oh please not that old line. I've lived long enough to hear it a billion times over. It really gets old." Alduin said.
"Even by some miracle you defeat me others will rise to defeat you. My friends will never stop fighting you. And if they fall others will continue to rise. As long as you only care about yourself you'll have to take on the entire human race. You will never win." Sean said.
"Even if you are right which you are not. There is one thing I can do." Alduin said before creating a large dark sphere of power in hands. "I can be rid of you." Alduin said aiming at him. "You can't defeat me at my full power. Your Great Grandfather fully realized his power and you've barely even come close to scratching the surface of yours. Now good bye and Good riddance!" Alduin yelled blasting him making Sean roar loudly.
Back with the others
Korra's former engagement necklace cracked making her look down holding it.
"Sean?" Korra asked worried.
"The fire is finally out!" Woods yelled.
"About damn time. Now what do we need to do?" Hudson asked.
"We need to reconnect the cables and attach them to the destroyer. If we can get it into the water it should stop the countdown." Baatar said.
"The cables are fried. Theres no way we can carry that thing without them." Hitomi said on top of one of the carriers.
Back with Sean and Alduin
Sean in his Obelisk form stood on shaky legs groaning in pain.
"Still standing? I am very impressed. But still all this is starting to bore me. Wheres the fun in finally defeating you. If you don't care if you lose?" Alduin asked as Sean groaned in pain.
"Ugh." Sean said trying to get his strength back.
"Your little speech made that very clear. I suppose theres only one solution. Once I've killed you I'll move onto those three brats of yours." Alduin said making Sean's eyes glow. "Now that will be fun." Alduin said creating another sphere of power. "Of if only you would be around to see it as they cry for their father to protect them." Alduin said.
Sean growled in rage.
"But no. You'll be in pieces!" Alduin yelled blasting him.
However Sean completely smacked it away much to his shock.
"What? But how!" Alduin yelled.
"YOU'LL PAY FOR THAT!" Sean yelled turning into his Zilla form before charging right at him with quick speeds. "YOU MADE A BIG MISTAKE ALDUIN! YOU REMINDED ME WHY I'M EVEN FIGHTING. AND WHY I'LL NEVER STOP FIGHTING!" Sean roared as. they got further away from the City before Sean's back glowed before unleashing a stream of green fire at Alduin in the chest making him roar in pain.
"You still won't stop me!" Alduin yelled.
Back with the others.
Korra, Tenzin and his kids along with Hitomi were trying to use airbending to life the Destroyer but nothing worked.
"It's too heavy!" Korra yelled.
"If I can just hack into this thing I can probably shut it down." Baatar said trying his best when an alert came up. "DAMN! The time to explosion just went up!" Baatar said as the Destroyer started sparking wildly.
"We only have at least five minutes before this thing blows." Hudson said.
"Theres gotta be some way we can move it." Mako said before they all heard a powerful and familiar roar making them look.
Coming through the battle spirit portal was Vlad's former Battle spirt who roared loudly into the air creating shockwaves.
"Oh man. This is not good." Asami said in alarm as Theinen slowly approached them.
"Shit move!" Will yelled as they moved out of the way but it continued on it's path
"Wait...It's not coming towards us." Sarah said as Theinin moved to grab the destroyer before trying to life it up and roared loudly trying.
"It's...Helping?" Korra asked before more roars were heard as they saw Malefor's former battle spirt also come out before trying to pick it up followed by dozens of Other Battle spirits.
"I guess unlike regular spirits Battle Spirits are far more willing to aid humans." Tenzin said as they all lifted the Destroyer up before carrying it to the ocean before they threw it in.
Inside the destroyer the secondary core began to spark wildly before shutting down entirely.
"The core...It's shut down." Baatar said in relief.
Outside the city
Sean and Alduin sensed what had happened making the later growl in rage.
"Yes another of your plans has failed, Alduin. Surrender while you still can and let us put an end to this pointless battle." Sean said.
"You sound just like my brother. You should know I won't stop until only one of us is left standing. And trust me. IT ISN'T GOING TO BE YOU!" Alduin yelled about to blast him as Sean turned into Godzilla as his spikes glowed before unleashing blue fire at him as their attacks collided creating a wave of power as the others arrived.
"Hang on Kruger." Reznov said as they arrived.
"Once again you hide behind your friends instead of showing me your true strength." Alduin said.
"Where do you think it comes from? You need a purpose to become strong. Mine is with them." Sean said.
"Thats too bad...Because I'm to destroy all of them." Alduin said blasting the others with red lightning making them cry out.
Sean widened his eyes seeing them down before growling in rage as he turned into his Primordial form having all three heads roar at him in rage.
"So this is your new Primordial form. I am impressed." Alduin said before their mouths glowed before unleashing a stream of great power at him making him roar in pain before it stopped as Alduin while still standing was greatly wounded.
Suddenly however the Blade of life landed in front of Korra making her look at it.
"That won't be enough." Alduin said as he slashed off the left wing of Sean's Primordial form making him roar in agonizing pain as he fell over.
"No." Korra said in horror.
"After a million years...I will finally have my revenge." Alduin said about to finish the job.
"NO!" Korra screamed.
Thats when the Blade of Life began to crack apart.
"Huh?" Korra asked before it shattered creating a bright flash.
"WHAT!" Alduin yelled as he was blinded.
Sean suddenly found himself within the grass plains once more groaning.
"Sean Ashburn Kruger."
Sean slowly looked up before seeing Draco Kruger again.
"Draco." Sean said standing up.
"I shall always look after my bloodline throughout all of time child. And now I have a final gift." Draco said.
Alduin growled as the flash ended before the energies within the blade merged with the Primordial of Life as cracks began to appear on it as it roared loudly before it exploded shocking the others.
"No...Not again." Korra said before they heard a powerful roar unlike anything they ever heard.
From the explosion stood a large dragon in highly advanced technology who roared loudly at Alduin. (THE BLUE EYES SHINING DRAGON!)
"A new form." Tenzin said in awe as they all felt the great power from this new form that was a thousand times greater than anything they ever felt.
Alduin roared before blasting it but it just bounced off like it was nothing shocking him before Sean roared loudly as a powerful light was seen from his mouth before blasting Alduin's left arm off.
"AHHHHHH!" Alduin roared in pain.
"It is time to end this once and for all." The Primordial of life said as a bright light sphere engulfed them both.
"NOOOOO!" Alduin roared.
Everyone else could only look in awe seeing such power before them.
Thats when Alduin was separated from the Dark Primordial and landed on the ground with a grunt.
The Dark Primordial roared in pain as it fell to his knees.
"You will never cause harm to our creation ever again. Your time is over." The Primordial of life said as it groaned loudly before melting away as it spoke a few ancient words before dying off for good this time never to return.
Sean soon landed in front of Alduin with the Primordial of life behind him.
"All I ever wanted was to end humanity's cruelty." Alduin said.
"Alduin...Or should I call you Odahviing." Sean said using his real name making him look at him. "You seriously think by destroying humanity was the key to peace. Thats not peace...Thats pure genocide." Sean said.
"What would you know. What do you believe is the key to peace?" Alduin asked.
"I used to think technology was the key to peace before I died. Now I have a different view. I believe faith is the Key to peace." Sean said. "Faith that humanity is not completely full of darkness and that there is hope for them all one day." Sean said. "I understand perfectly why you became what you are. Your brother didn't give you a chance." Sean said.
"I didn't deserve one." Alduin said with his head down.
"Wrong."
Draco suddenly appeared before them making Alduin widen his eyes.
"Brother. It was my fault you turned out this way. If I only gave you and our parents a chance all of this could have been avoided. But I let my anger blind me and dictate my actions." Draco said.
"Why are you here?" Alduin asked.
"I came here to tell you despite what happened in the past...All the horrors you have unleashed on this world and the people...I forgive you." Draco said making him widen his eyes before looking down.
"You know I only ever dreamed you would ever say that." Alduin said.
"I know. It is time we put the past behind us. And let the new generation fix our mistakes." Draco said grabbing his shoulder as he nods before looking at Sean. "You my great Grandson will lead humanity to an age of peace that will last for all eternity." Draco said making him nod before they vanished.
The Primordial of Life soon roared loudly before creating a flash of light that engulfed the entire planet.
Authors Note: And with that the Dark Master is defeated and finally reunited with his family and forgiven for his actions. Now Next Chapter will be the final chapter with some surprises. I'm not as sad as I was when I ended the Avatar's protector. Still sad but oh well. But not to worry once I have the Rider of the League finished I have another Legend of Korra story ready. The return of an Ancient Legend. And then I have two more story ideas I already planned out in advance since this series screams great potential for me for some reason. Read, Review, Fav and Follow.
