I swear Sonny is not an innocent victim in this and I don't plan to dive to deep in what Luis says about him… but it's just about explaining his motive.

Chapter 51- Car Explosion

"I knew I'd be able to lure JR here, Daddy," Sage said proudly. "He stupidly fell for it, and even better, he brought Skye with him!"

Kendall looked up at everyone in the cell, then stood to her feet.

"Yes, you've proven yourselves useful," Luis said. "Where's Axel?"

Suddenly, a young man picking at his teeth stumbled in and sat on a chair.

"Where were you?" Luis demanded.

"Havin' a smoke," Axel mumbled.

"You're supposed to be guarding them. If you can't do your job, I'll get someone else."

"You people have a lot of nerve bringing me here!" Kendall yelled at them. "I demand you release me at once!"

Skye wrapped her arms around herself and shivered a little. She regretted leaving her jacket in the car… but this was the least of her concerns.

Luis stomped over to the cell and was barely inches from Kendall. "You have a lot of nerve offering to go to the cops for this bitch and her coward of a brother!"

Skye gawked at him. "No one calls me a bitch, and no one belittles my brother except me!"

"Can you please keep your voices down?" Lila spoke up and patted Colby's back. "This child is trying to sleep."

"That's why you took me?" Kendall scoffed. "Because I offered to go to the cops?"

"Yes," Luis said. "Skye and JR have caused enough trouble. They should've kept their little mouths shut and obeyed my commands. Now, all of you are paying for it."

"Why were you targeting us in the first place!?" Skye asked.

Luis stepped closed to Skye and ran his finger along her jawline, and she jolted back.

Lila's mouth dropped. "Don't touch my granddaughter like that without her consent!"

Luis smiled at Skye. "Not only did you get in the way of JR joining us, but you meddled in our plan to take down Corinthos."

Skye scrunched her face. "What? Sonny Corinthos? How did I do that?"

"Things were going according to plan. Lorenzo was dating Carly for information, but then you come along and distract him. Now, you and everyone you love is paying for it."

Skye glared at him. "That's why? Well, what about Emily?"

He stood up straighter. "Zander Smith, one of my soldiers, wanted to leave my business to be with her. I don't allow anyone to quit me."

"Look, just let us all go, and we won't say anything to anyone," Skye said. "We'll leave you and Lorenzo and Carly alone. We'll pretend this never happened."

Luis laughed. "You have proven over and over that you can't keep your mouth shut. Not to mention your father constantly badgering you to tell him every detail."

"I took care of him, Daddy," Sage said.

Skye's chest went heavy, and her eyes grew wide. She gripped the bars tightly again. "What do you mean you took care of him!? What did you do to my father!?"

Sage smirked. "I poisoned him."

"What!?"

JR started breathing heavily. "You poisoned our dad!?"

"Oh no…" Lila cried.

Skye chewed her lip nervously.

"Your precious dad is fine," Luis said, still looking at Skye. "Both of them are."

JR scrunched his face. "Both?"

"He traded plates with his wife. Your stepmother is the one in the emergency room right now."

"Liza was poisoned?" JR asked.

Luis smirked. "The kid doesn't know, does he?"

"Shut. Up," Skye said through gritted teeth.

"Know what?" JR inquired.

"Skye's not your sister," Luis said. "She's not a Chandler at all. She was adopted. Or rather, stolen."

"What?"

Skye looked down at JR, who looked very sad, then she turned to Luis. "Are you happy? You literally want to take away everything that I love—I mean that I don't hate!"

Luis turned to Sage and Diego. "It's time to deliver the package to the Ruiz's. Think you can handle that?"

"Yes, sir," Diego said.

"Of course," Sage agreed, and they left.

"Axel!" Luis said. "You are to stay at your post."

Axel nodded. "Okay sir."

"I have a meeting with my brother. I'll be back tomorrow." He glared at everyone and headed out.

Skye turned to JR, but he sat down with Jamie on the bed.

Rae didn't sleep a wink that night and Myrtle got very little sleep. Rae called John several times but there was no answer, and when she called the Llanview Police Department, they hadn't heard anything. Rae called Alan to fill him in, and he explained that Monica made it through the night and was expected to make a full recovery. Bright and early, Myrtle and Rae headed to the Pine Valley Police Department.

When they arrived, Erica, Jack, Adam, Tad, and Dixie were already there, and she was also surprised to see Alan.

"When you said you were coming here for answers, I just had to come too," Alan said. "Tracy is sitting with Monica right now."

"Do you think you should call Kendall's adoptive parents?" Jack asked Erica.

"I haven't spoken to them since Kendall was a teenager," Erica said.

"But they have the right to know."

Derek stepped out of his office with a folder.

"Derek!" Erica rushed over to him. "Have you found Kendall?"

"Or JR?" Dixie asked.

"No," Derek said. I have my men working on it. But I just received a call about a car explosion on the highway. I have to go investigate it."

"Well, can't you send someone else to do that?" Erica said. "You need to find Kendall!"

"We're looking for Kendall, just like we're looking for a lot of missing people. We'll let you know as soon as we find out more."

"UGH!" Erica groaned as Derek left. "Why won't somebody just find her!"

Jack wrapped his arms around her. "We will find her. We will."

Rae turned to Myrtle. "I think we're going to find out as much here as we did last night."

Adam grabbed Rae's arm. "What are you doing here? Do you know where Skye took my son?"

"Hey…" Alan said. "Don't grab Rae like that."

Rae yanked her arm away from him. "Listen here, you disgusting man! Skye did not kidnap Adam Jr. After all these years you don't know Skye at all?"

He scoffed. "And I suppose after knowing her for what a year or two, you know her better than I do?"

"Yes. Yes, I do. Because I actually have given her the time of day and have worked hard to see past the walls she had no choice but to put up all these years!"

Alan swallowed hard. "Is this Skye's adoptive father?"

"Correction," Myrtle seethed. "This is Skye's kidnapper."

"So, this is the man that worked with Father? I saw him at the hospital when Skye's sister was there. I just didn't put two and two together…"

"And he's the man who alienated Skye and made her an outsider in the Chandler family," Rae added.

"What is wrong with you people?" Adam asked. "My son is missing and you're making this all about you!"

"For once, I'm with Adam," Dixie cut in. "We need to find JR and the last person he was seen with was Skye. She's resented him since the day he was born."

"Dixie…" Tad rubbed her arms. "Innocent until proven guilty. I know you're scared. I am too. But Skye was falsely accused twice before and neither time did she kidnap him."

"Rae…" Rae turned to find John standing there holding a dirty license plate and ripped up, sooty pieces of pink.

"John?" Rae stepped closer to him. "Did you find Skye? What are you holding?"

John frowned. "Rae, I think you need to sit down."

"What is it, John? Just tell me."

"I found your car. At least what was left of it." He held up the license plate. "Your car exploded and there were two bodies inside—"

"No…" Dixie cried.

"What are you saying?" Adam asked.

"—the driver was wearing this jacket… what's left of it. It looks like the jacket Skye wore last night. It seems as though Skye and JR were in the car."

"NOOOO!" Dixie's knees gave out and she dropped to the floor. Tad lowered beside her and wrapped his arms around her.

Adam's face paled and he stared at the wall.

Myrtle started to cry and reached for Rae's hand.

"You're saying that Skye is dead?" Alan said and started to tear up. "But we just found her."

John stepped closer to Rae. "I'm so sorry."

Rae slapped him. "Where is she?" Rae fought back her tears. "I need to see her. Otherwise, I'm going to assume you're lying to me."

"Rae, you don't want to see her," John said. "The bodies are burned beyond recognition."

"I have to see her," Rae reiterated. "I was told my baby girl died once before and I believed it. I'm not going to miss more decades of her life because I didn't insist on seeing her!"

"Rae, darling…" Myrtle wrapped her arms around her. "Remember her how she was and how much she grew and how close you got it. Hold onto that. You don't want to remember her like this."

Rae pulled away from Myrtle and shook her head. "This is a sick joke. Maybe there was a reason Skye wanted me to break up with you, John! Maybe you were coming between us after all!"

"Rae, I would never joke about this—"

"If you won't take me to her, then I'll go find her myself to prove that she's not dead! And don't follow me, Mama, if you're going to believe this lie too!" Rae stormed out of the station.
