I woke up to someone whispering, "Trish! Estelle! Wake up, you have to eat dinner."
I sat straight up not knowing where I was. I looked around confused, and then it hit me. I was still laying on a couch in Sally Jackson's apartment.
"Hey, we're just about to eat super, if you want to join," Sally laughed.
I asked her a question that even surprised me, "Hey, why are you doing this? Why are you treating me like family? I mean you found me in an alleyway, and then you found out that I could easily kill you all, and yet you're going to eat dinner with me."
"Because, no one deserves to be in your shoes." Sally smiled.
I got up and walked to the dining room table that was already set with food and everything. I sat down in a seat, as did Paul and Sally.
"Estelle, come sit with us!" Sally yelled to where Estelle was in the living room.
"Coming, mommy!" She responded in her squeaky voice. She climbed up onto her chair and sat right beside me.
Right as we began to eat, I heard a knock on the door. "I'll get it." Sally offered.
When Sally opened the door, it was no other than Percy himself.
"Hey, uh, mom. I didn't know if i should have knocked or-,"
"Oh, come on seaweed brain, get to the point," Annabeth pushed Percy out of the doorway, "Anyway we came here looking for someone, and we were wondering if you could help us."
Just then, Annabeth looked in our direction. I just stared at her for a second with food hanging on my fork. Annabeth looked at me weird and then down at my plate.
"Uh." was all she was able to get out.
Percy came through the door, "Thank the gods we found you, Trish."
As he came closer to me, I got up and backed away. "S-stop. Stop coming after me, I told you to leave me. H-how did you know where I would be anyway?"
"Look, Trish, we were worried about you, we had to come after you. We asked Coral, and she said that you might be in your alleyway. We didn't find you there so we decided to ask my mom to help us find you. Turns out you were in her apartment!"
Annabeth stepped in front of Percy. "Trish, please come back with us, everyone knows now. They probably won't bother you anymore."
"But what if they do!" I yelled, "What if I kill someone! Then what would you do? Huh?"
"But, Trish," Percy said, "We can train you.. We can train you so that you won't hurt anyone.
Pleeeease." Percy gave me his baby seal eyes.
"Hey, I can do that too!" Estelle yelled. I looked at her and she basically mimicked Percy's face, but cuter, a lot cuter.
"Trish, please," Annabeth pleaded. I thought about this for a moment. Annabeth, the Annabeth Chase was pleading with me, what has this world come to.
"I-I don't know." I murmured.
Sally turned to me. "Come on Trish, it will be good for you, and when you need a break you can always come over here and calm down."
"B-but-"
Annabeth looked at me, "Trish, you need to come back to camp. We can train you. Besides, it's a lot more dangerous for you outside the borders of camp, it might not be ideal for you, and you might be putting others at risk, but come on. We're Half-bloods. You're also putting yourself at a greater risk being out here where Nemesis can easily get to you."
Annabeth did make a good point. I thought about it some more. "F-fine. But if anything happens, it's your fault."
"Deal." Annabeth stuck her hand out for me to shake. Since it took me too long to shake it, Estelle grabbed Annabeth's hand instead.
"Can I come?" Estelle squeaked.
"No!" Sally and Paul both yelled.
"Awe." Estelle pouted and put her head on the table.
Percy picked Estelle up. "Don't look too down little sis, I'm sure mommy and daddy will let you come sometime when you're older." He then proceeded by tickling her which made her collapse in laughter. As soon as Percy said sis, it instantly made me sad. I couldn't help but think of the Stoll's, I really needed to find a way to make it up to Travis. I got an idea.
"Hey guys?" I asked Annabeth and Percy, "Can we stop at the candy store on our way back?"
They seemed confused but they agreed, mainly because Percy also wanted to find some blue jelly beans.
As we walked out of Sally's apartment, we said our goodbyes and Sally made us promise that we would all Iris Message her when we got back. We walked down the hallway and I sighed, I really needed that day.
