Shulk is comforting a crying Rex while Marth and Roy only stared at them. Rex came to Shulk this morning, whining about him not getting an invitation. Instead, Pyra got the invitation and he will be assisting her in her Final Smash.
"Now I know how Chrom felt before." Marth sighed as he remembered Chrom whining to him on not getting in before.
"Now, Rex is feeling it." Roy sighed also, then turned to the crying Rex. "Don't worry Rex. You will get your chance one day. Don't lose hope."
"Roy's right, Rex." Shulk agreed on Roy's statement. "It's not the end of the world. You may still enter as a fighter someday."
Rex sniffed, eyes red from crying. "Thanks guys. Now I know that Shulk likes you guys."
"We appreciate it." Marth smiled, then decide to change the topic. "Pyra and Mythra, right? You say those two are sharing the same body, right?" Rex nodded as a reply.
"One is using Fire Swords and the other is Light sword." Then Marth turned to Roy. "What do you think Roy, considering you're a fire-wielding swordsman yourself?"
"I don't mind." Roy said with a smile. "Besides, it's good to have a fellow fire-wielding swordsman or swordswoman, for a change."
"Well, you didn't complain to Ike after all." Marth respond then turned to Rex. "So Rex, what are you going to do, now?"
"Maybe I should assist them in this tournament for now." Then he wiped his tears and raised his fist in the air, eyes brimmed with determination despite the reddiness from crying. "I will get my chance someday!"
"That's the spirit!" Shulk said.
Congrats to Pyra and Mythra for getting in! I didn't play Xenoblade Chronicles I and II but I will try it someday.
And I feel sorry for Rex fans but hey, he will get his chance another day.
