Prologue
Time has always had the ability to change things, especially changing who people are. 4 years is a long time to be alone and to be away from everyone and everything you've ever known. She hadn't meant to be gone quite so long but the time had done her good, she'd taken the time she needed away. It had been the perfect time to put herself first, to grow and learn, to live a life on her own terms rather than the terms of what someone wanted or expected her to be.
She had never forgotten her past though, she had never forgotten where she'd come from and what she had to go back to. She knew she couldn't stay away forever, she had commitments to fulfill and vows she had to keep. She had responsibilities, that she now felt that she was ready to attend to. She was ready to be a part of a family again, she was ready to be the perfect wife of a successful businessman, take up her role in society once more. She was ready to step back into her life, step back into the that spotlight she had and claim back what was hers.
