SmackDown: 1/1/2010

The first SmackDown of 2010 was live at the IZOD Center in East Rutherford, New Jersey. The show opens with a highlight of the final SmackDown of 2009 where the Bladewolf took on his brother, the Undertaker, for the World Heavyweight Championship but it ended on DQ when Batista interfered and attacked Undertaker, then Bladewolf only for Rey Mysterio to come out and take out Batista with a 619.

The SmackDown intro video played, and a big pyro went off to celebrate the New Year. Tonight is a Beat the Clock challenge, where the winner will face the Bladewolf next week for his #1 Contender's spot, and the right to face the Undertaker at the Royal Rumble event for the World Heavyweight Championship.

Punk says we shouldn't make him beat that into us, because he can. Punk says he'll beat up everyone in this arena if that's what it takes to get through to us. Punk says that next week he'll save someone from the audience because he has heart. Then city to city, person by person, his message will grow and spread. We'll realize that he's not just a minor threat. The youth of today will come together as one straightedge society. He'll start it all off tonight by setting the winning time in the Beat the Clock Challenge. Then he'll go to beat the Bladewolf next week, and go on to the Royal Rumble and destroy the Undertaker.

OOOOOOWHOOOOOO!

The Devil's Wolf plays to a loud pop as the lights change to the sinister, blood red and out comes the Bladewolf. he makes his way down the ramp towards the ring and gets in through the middle rope. He takes his metallic mask off, and grabs a microphone.

"The World Heavyweight Championship...was within my grasp." He said, looking down at his hand which was opened to show his meaning. "There are few things in this world that brings joy and delight to my dark heart. One is being able to fight alongside my brothers, Kane and the Undertaker. The second thing is fighting against my brothers. And last week, as I fought my older brother, Batista took the opportunity away from me when he foolishly interfered in my match out of his pitiful desperation to have what he cannot win. Batista, we have NEVER battled one on one, it's true, not once. But if you win the Beat the Clock challenge tonight...you will suffer next week at my hands. Death waits for no man, and Hell waits for the worst kind of souls to be dragged down into it's dark, deep, fiery pits! This warning goes out to whoever wins the challenge tonight, you will suffer at my hands. Nothing will stop me from facing my brother for the World Heavyweight Championship. If they do try to stop me...then they will...BURN!...IN!...HELL!"

Bladewolf drops the microphone and his theme plays as he leaves the ring, his piece said, his warning stated...

And that's it for this chapter folks. I hope you all enjoyed it. Yeah, Bladewolf wasn't in a match, he was cuttinga promo on whoever beats the clock and goes on to face him for the right to face the Undertaker at the Royal Rumble.
