Carrie (2013)/The Thing (1982) Crossover Prompt 1
Carrie's powers are noticed by a government representative visiting Ewan High who tells her of a research station that studies many different subjects in Antarctica. He offers her to stay at the base to allow the researchers to help the girl better understand her telekinesis. Carrie is nervous about the prospect, although quickly accepts the idea of getting away from the torture of Chamberlain.
A month after she arrives, she's made some progress with her powers. The researchers also learn a good deal on psyonics. Carrie doesn't exactly make friends with the all male crew, but comes to like the base's helicopter pilot, MacReady. One day, she sees that a Norwegian helicopter has chased a husky dog all the way from it's own base trying to kill it. After the Norwegian pilot ends up dead in a shoot out, the dog is taken in.
For some reason, however, Carrie feels something strange about the dog, but can't quite tell why.
