A.N. — The second task of the Triwizard Tournament took place on February 24. But a certain fellow has a birthday tomorrow. And, since he deals with fantastic beasts, today is all about one of them that ties in with the Triwiz.
54. The Giant Squid
Others had no compunction invading the Giant Squid's home, despite the fact he himself never stuck a tentacle into the castle.
The Triwizard Tournament had brought a whole host of humans into his lake, and not a one had asked him for permission! They were lucky he didn't decide to "play" with them. The Squid just directed them to the riled up merfolk to do his dirty work.
Moaning Myrtle, though, would not be dissuaded.
She was excitedly babbling about Cedric and Harry and a lack of bubbles. The Squid was confused; there were plenty of bubbles floating around them.
