In the last chapter, I mentioned I was taken to court and went on a trial due to the fact Karu is the spy.

And now, I was being escorted by four knights, to a detention centre, as far as I remember.

Well, at least that was where I think I was supposed to escorted to.

Anyway, back to the story.

Before the knights could actually talk to me, Alicia appeared in front of us as she held a scroll.

The knights saluted her before they left us alone.

Alicia took a key and unlocked the cuffs.

"Alright, no need to be surprised. You are coming with me." Alicia spoke as she tossed me a small cuboid box.

"To where?"

"Of course not the detention centre. We are going to my house." Alicia continued as she pointed the direction where her house most likely to be located.

Half an hour later, at the Astroraia House...

"Welcome back, milady. It is great news that you returned safely."

"You have my appreciation for the warm greeting, Sylvester. But please do not mistaken me as a headstrong adventurer who would get herself killed." Alicia responded before she sighed in exasperation.

"Milady, you ought to understand this butler's concern for you as you were always commanding in the front lines, albeit you are already a high ranking officer in the Police Force." The butler continued.

"Anyway, where's Dad?" Alicia cut the butler off before he talk any further.

"Master is currently at his room, continuing his report regarding the riot that occurred sometime before."

What a hard-working noble. Seriously, the Belzerg Kingdom is really lucky for having a loyal Commissioner on their side.

The high-ranking officials can literally decide the fate of a nation with their actions, considering the fact the followers will follow suit when a leader sets an example.

And in this world, where advanced technology is basically non-existent, relies on numbers when a war broke out.

It is impossible for a nation to work efficiently with incompetent officials, that's for sure.

Sigh... Just imagine if the officials in the Belzerg Kingdom are like him, who actually contributed something to the Kingdom...

I am pretty sure the war would have been over already, and I would not need to face this kind of dumb stuff.

Anyway, it was about three minutes before we arrived in front of the room.

Alicia knocked the door twice.

"Who's there?" A voice came within the room.

"Alicia."

"Alicia who?"

"Your daughter, open up."

The door creaked as it slowly opened.

"Is there anything I can help you with- By the name of Eris-sama, who is he?! Did you snare a man here?! I know my genes are good to a certain extent where a lot of people would fall for you, but this is too much-" Alicia's dad turned around nonchalantly before he put on a shocked expression.

"What? No! He is Guardian, the Magic Swordmaster who has a lot of rumours on his plate."

"Oh I see..." Alicia's father sighed as he sat down slowly, as if he was disappointed with the answer.

Well, I didn't expect his expression would be a disappointed one. If one takes it from his point of view, it would be rather normal if the reaction is a relieved one. But this is actually the first time I saw a parent put on a disappointed expression after hearing his daughter didn't do anything bad.

Maybe he wanted to let her experience that? I don't know, but I know I am not in the position to judge, considering the fact I am just a single guy without anyone falling for me, albeit I am at a marriageable age.

God, that last sentence made me sound like an old man. It is indeed the truth.

In this world, people can get married at the age of 14. This is probably why there is a large number of lolicons and shotacons.

Hold up a second, the knights handed me a letter just before. Let me take a look:

God, what are these statements? They aren't about me! I am pretty sure they don't really understand me, so I would just debunk some of the statements here.

Let's see here... I ask Aqua for good stats? What did I pick at the beginning? Right, a package that shouldn't have OP stats in it. Then as a part of the package, I choose a random cute girl, which turned out to be one of the strongest people in this world. As for the stats, they were NOTHING like this before I got hit by Truck-kun. I was expecting to have some fun here, but not this.

Wait, my possible love interest is a loli? Well, yes but actually no. Look, she's currently twelve and I am currently sixteen. There are four years between us, not FORTY years or something. Yes, she is currently a loli, but time will mark her growth alright, at some point she would no longer be a loli, and so the law requires that I answer "no" to this statement. Sure, at that time I would be an Onii-san type (御兄) character, but it is still legal.

Ah, I forgot to say that my current position is in between of a Shounen Character and an Onii-san character.

Shit, if that's the case, the girl from a rural area that switched bodies with a boy three years younger than her in a certain anime movie should be counted as a shotacon if we apply that concept to that.

My name... Well, I do have a name and I just don't really want to disclose it. And yes, it is kinda chuunibyou there, but the most important thing is that I like it and I enjoyed it. Let's be honest, we would probably find Asian names chuunibyou if anime and the like are non-existent. Matter of fact, there is a large chance you would probably find my true name also kinda chuuni, considering the fact I AM an Asian.

Exempt from the rules of the world... Well yes, but actually no. The job "Magic Swordmaster" is a job (Job is job- no), yet it is a mere title as well. The Core System bended and obeyed the rules of the world at the same time.

Sounds vague, doesn't it? Let's clear things up: The existence of the Core System bended the job selection of the Adventurers' Guild as its normal form allows access to all skills the user has, just with a significantly smaller output. But the Core Outfits under the System on the other hand, obeyed the rules of the world. As the Core Outfits are BASED on existing jobs in this world, the Fire Core is based on the Warrior Class, the Ice Core is based on the Archwizard class, or the Water Core is based on the Knight class, Shadow Core taken from the Thief class, Snow Core taken from the Assassin class (Yes, according to the original series LN Vol. 16), it is true that some of them did NOT follow the classes they based on entirely, but the fact the nature of the outfits and the general stuff are indeed based on those classes, like the Light Core is based on the Swordmaster class... albeit the fact it has its own magic skills, or the Wind Core, which has a magic rifle instead of a dagger, like Erika from Accel Hearts, but the general direction of the aforementioned outfit follows the class it is based on. That... is exactly why it technically obeyed the rules, even though it actually kinda ignored the rules of the world. Not to mention, the others who had reincarnated into this world have odd abilities too, so why is that a problem?

The fifth statement... I think I should repeat myself in the last chapter: One should NOT unleash strong skills near where civilians live, much less IN where civilians live. This statement is just as stupid as throwing a nuke at a small crime scene. One would begin to wonder whether or not the Belzerg Royal Family would be able to face the public if the incident went the way the letter mentioned... if the entire capital is still intact that is.

Just like counter-terrorism, would the military or police officers use RPGs or heavy weapons like machine guns to rescue hostages? The answer is no, since the AOE is too large and there is no telling whether the hostages would survive or not, unless they have the intent to KILL the hostages or innocent civilians that is. They would use lighter weapons such as assault rifles or submachine guns, as the bullets fly in the direction the gun is aiming. It is just as simple as that.

Last but not least, considering the things that happened to me the last chapter and chapter 10~16, I was hated by fellow adventurers for things I was framed upon. Parents also advised not to approach me as they were afraid of the rumours regarding me - let loose and kill their offspring. I am great? Much like more the other way around, don't you think?

Unfortunately, the person hid his identity and I wouldn't know his address even if he reveals himself. There is no advanced technology in this world, after all, so it would almost impossible to return this back to sender.

Oh well, I think it would be conveyed in one way or another, so that should be the least of my concern for now.

"Hey you, it's time for dinner." The Commissioner spoke up after he opened the door.

A few moments later...

"I have heard of your situation, Magic Swordmaster." The Commissioner brought up the topic while we were in the middle of our dinner.

"No need to worry, young adventurer. Judging from what you said, and based on your deeds, it is not likely for you to face an execution. His Majesty is a wise king."

"Isn't that good news?" Alicia asked her father with a somewhat hopeful expression.

"However, His Majesty is not a gullible person who believes in anyone. After that incident happened, the chances of him entrusting his daughter's life unto your hands is nearly impossible. So what are you planning to do starting from this moment?" Mr. Astroraia asked as he looked at me.

"To be very honest with you, sir..." I spoke as I did a thinking pose.

"...I don't even have a plan."

Silence filled the entire room as both father and daughter looked at me with disbelief.

Probably because I was regarded as a well-planned individual.

So they would expect I have a plan up my sleeve.

Sure, I may look like I always have a plan.

However, I tend to stick the plans I made and rarely changed them. That's probably why I lost my way.

"Everything you do is planned beforehand. So I guess you don't really have a Plan B, much less a Plan C." The Commissioner sighed. "However, would you want to try something new?"

"What do you mean?" I asked as I looked up.

"Don't worry, you will find out soon enough." Alicia's father continued with a smile.

Review Reply

To Luis (May I call you Luis?):

Thank you for your support and review!

Well, the music is quite funny if you ask me, since even Konosuba has different OSTs in different scenes. Just that when people watched anime they would have one question: Where would the performers or music players be? So, I guess Star Lord's battling habits are quite interesting: playing music in the midst of a battle. Even though I got to admit the fact including the name of the music sounds like a nerd, but I guess I don't have much options as I could neither include music nor insert links. (qwq)

Anyway, thank you for sharing your thoughts with me. I am actually happy to see your reply as that means you still keep on reading the story.
