In the underground clinic, Mary treated Ryan the best she could. The infection from the bullet wound to her shoulder was getting worse and Ryan was in a great deal of pain. "I feel like my head is about to explode," she complained.
Mary did the best she could to clean the wound as Ryan thrashed about. Ryan was in-and-out of consciousness as she selectively dreamed of her adopted mother.
Hullicinaition
"All I'm saying is mind the company you keep. Don't be hanging out with no drug dealers, thieves, and murderers," Ryan's mother said.
"Mama, Angelique is a good person," Ryan assured her.
"She also uses and sells drugs. I don't want you to be involved in her drama," her mother said. "You are made for much better things, child."
"You tell me this every day," Ryan rolled her eyes. Ryan then realized her mother was bleeding profusely from her scalp from brunt trauma. The blood was getting all over her hands. "Mama? What the fuck?"
End Hullcination
Alice entertained Titania in the sewers of Gotham. "Not only do you make me fly out here to Gotham, but you made me have to find you in this rat-infested hole," Titania said peeved.
"Yeah, well, it's best to keep your dead bodies away from prying eyes," Alice said as she pointed to Ocean's dead body with a knife in his heart.
"Is that really him? I didn't think you had it in you," Titania said pleased.
Alice proceeded to knock her out cold. "You shouldn't be thinking at all. It's not your strong suit," she mocked.
Alice waited patiently for Titania to wake up. She woke up with a start and realized she was handcuffed to a ladder to the surface. "Wakey, wakey, my adorable lesbian pirate," Alice mocked.
"What is this shit?" Titania demanded.
"This is where you tell me why Ocean and I experienced memory lapses," Alice ordered.
"Does it really matter? He's dead," Titania said obviously.
"Yeah, well, you'll find you both will have that in common if you don't start talking," Alice said placing her butterfly knife at her throat.
"Safiyah had your memories wiped," Titania revealed.
"No shit. Why?" Alice demanded.
"You were a threat and that was why you were appealing. You had a common enemy with Hamilton. After Hamilton burned Safiyah on an island defense system, we were instructed to steal one of her yachts to teach her a lesson," Titania said.
"Sounds like something that would be covered by insurance," Alice remarked.
"Vengeful minds think alike. When we got there, we took out the security and then got drunk-as-fuck on the champagne as we went out to sea. Then, you had to fuck it up," Titania recalled.
Flashback
A woman with long brown hair leaped from a bridge onto Hamilton's yacht. She quickly put the first guard in a stranglehold and broke his neck quickly. Beth then went down to the first floor and kicked the second guard as she came down. Beth took him by surprise with hand-to-hand combat moves and then tossed him overboard.
"The fuck?" Titania wondered as she saw Beth. "Heads up!"
The third guard went looking for Beth with his pistol out. Beth suddenly slammed the door on his hand, took his pistol, slammed his head against the door, and then slammed his head into a bathroom sink. Beth went around the hallways of the boat and caught the fourth guard by surprise as she hit him repeatedly with her pistol until he dropped. Beth ambushed the fifth guard with a machine gun. She chopped him to the face stunning him. The fifth guard fired into the ceiling with his machine gun alerting the entire ship. Beth fired a couple of shots into the guard's gut killing him. The sixth guard approached the area and looked around through a window hole. Beth fired through the window hole into his head.
As she went through the door, she was fired upon by the seventh guard with a machine gun. Beth miraculously escaped getting hit as she flung herself through a window into one of the inner cabins. The seventh guard pursued her blasting the cabin with machine gunfire. Beth took cover behind a couch and went to her stomach. She fired into the guard's foot dropping him. As he fell, she fired into his torso several times killing him.
The eighth guard suddenly came in and blasted the room with machine-gun fire as Beth tried to leave. She miraculously wasn't hit as she retreated behind a corner and fired back killing him. She then noticed the ninth guard tried to get to her from behind. Beth trapped his hand with the door, disarmed him of his machine-gun, and fired a quick burst into his torso killing him.
Finally, Titania fired at Beth nearly hitting her. Beth fired back with a quick burst. Out of bullets, Beth leaped onto Titania and began beating on her. Titania went for a knife. Beth tried to push the knife into Titania's neck only to be kicked off of her. Beth and Titania fought evenly in the hallway and then entered the master cabin where they began to throw bottles at each other. Beth slammed a broken bottle into Titania's arm and proceeded to beat the shit out of her until she dropped. Suddenly, more guards came in to aid Titania forcing Beth to surrender.
"You got me," Beth said dryly.
Coryanna
Beth was taken to Coryanna where she was tied to a chair in front of Safiyah at the mansion. "Can I kill her now?" Titania asked pissed-off.
"Leave us, please," Safiyah requested as she gave Beth a thirsty look.
"She's a filthy outsider, a heterosexual," Titania pointed out.
"The fuck?" Beth mouthed.
"I will deal with her my way," Safiyah told her off. "Relax, you are on a Meditteranean island," she said to Beth.
"That's interesting. Since when does it get cold enough to see your breath in the Meditteranean?" Beth mocked.
"From the looks of what you did to my men, I wouldn't stand a chance against you," Safiyah flirted.
"Unless it were the limbo," Beth mocked her shortness.
"What is a beautiful woman like you doing wasting her life away?" Safiyah asked insultingly.
"Excuse me, but I'm the crimson fucker! I've killed a lot of people to get this title. I deserve to be called such!" Beth said obnoxiously.
"Pardon me...crimson fucker. It would appear we have a mutual enemy in Catherine Hamilton," Safiyah said.
"Yes, she fucked my father...without my permission," Beth said insanely.
"Your life story inspires me. I consider myself a prisoner of Coryanna but you fought to get here, to see me," Safiyah said knowingly. "It was never about the boat. You wanted to see me. So, what do you want from me?" Safiyah asked.
"I hear you got the good shit," Beth smiled.
Safiyah and Beth walked around the island as her warriors trained. "If you wish to be part of my army, you must follow my rules: No leaving the island without permission, no stealing the Desert Rose, and you get whatever I want," Safiyah said.
"Simple enough," Beth allowed.
"And heterosexual sex is strictly prohibited," Safiyah said as they passed by a dozen men training with swords.
Beth eyed Safiyah wondering if she was serious and then noticed Ocean with his hot well-trained body. He was forbidden fruit and it was then she knew she had to have him. However, despite their sexual tension, they hated each other. Ocean kicked Beth's ass and she talked shit all day calling him ignorant and primitive. Sparing turned to infatuation and infatuation turned to forbidden sex.
"I think I like you," Ocean said as Beth strangled him during love-making.
"Come on, you're not even trying," Beth critiqued him. "If you don't pick up the pace, I'm leaving to get drunk."
"What do you really want?" Ocean asked her.
"I want you fuck me the way my father fucks that bitch," Beth said insanely.
"What's your problem with her? She's doing your father a favor. I mean, what is he supposed to do? Be miserable for the rest of his life? Why do you feel the need to cock-block your dad? Is that really what you want?" Ocean asked her.
"You need to get your shit together, Ocean. I can't even feel you," Beth said insultingly as she got off him.
"Damn," Ocean said feeling disrespected.

Gotham
Ryan woke up and tore out of the clinic. She got into her piece-of-shit van and took off towards Angelique's place. Using the fire escape, she ended up on Angelique's balcony. "Holy shit!" Angelique realized as she opened her doors to her apartment.
"Angelique," Ryan said softly barely able to stand.
"Are you okay?" Angelique asked alarmed.
"Hey, where's your wine opener," Angelique's one-night-stand asked as she came into view. She was wearing a furry panda suit. "Whoa, what's going on?" the panda furry asked.
Ryan took a step back shocked and appalled by this epic betrayal. "Can I have two seconds?" she asked her panda furry.
"Okay," she said leaving the room.
"Sorry about that. You got me. Look, I pay some of your medical bills, I get to cheat on you sometimes. Fair-is-fair," Angelique said.
"I should snitch you out to the cops," Ryan said vengefully.
"Yeah, no," Angelique said as she pushed Ryan against the balcony guardrail and then smacked her head with a grill cover sending her over. Ryan hit the hood of a car hard and fell to the ground.
Soon thereafter, Mary got to the scene and placed the unconscious injured Ryan in her car to take back to the clinic. As she did a Crow helicopter put a spotlight on her. "Back away from the black suspect. Freeze, you're under arrest," the helicopter said to Mary as she placed Ryan into her car.
"Racist fucks," Mary shook her head dismayed as she drove off.
Hullicination
Ryan was back in her old apartment with her mother no longer present. Alice and two of her goons were there to torment her with funny-looking masks. "You mad?" Alice asked amused.
"Why did you do it? What was the point?" Ryan demanded.
Alice pointed to a mop as if to order her to clean the floors. Ryan broke off the end of the mop and attacked the three of them. She got some good hits on the goons before Alice kicked the mop out of her hands. "You know how much pain you caused me?" Ryan asked Alice. "How do you do that? How do you murder someone's mom and move on like it didn't matter?"
Alice merely chuckled at her. Ryan punched her to the face and slammed her up against the wall. "Tell me you remember her. Tell me her name," Ryan ordered.
"I don't recall killing your mother. I doubt I'll remember killing you," Alice mocked.
Ryan took out a knife. "Now, we're talking," Alice smiled insanely.
"This is for my mother," Ryan said as she stabbed Alice to the gut repeatedly until she dropped dead.
End Hullicination
The real Alice continued her interrogation of Titania. "So, she wiped my memory because I had straight sex? Really?"
"You're really not getting it. Safiyah would claim she wanted you for her army. Your survival instincts would make you an excellent fighter and adviser," Titania said.
"Oh really? What would you claim?" Alice asked.
"That she was in love with you," Titania blurted out.
Flashback-Coryanna
Safiyah brought Beth over to the Desert Rose. "This McGuffin is the Desert Rose, an OP miracle cure. It's my birthright to protect it at all costs. The Desert Rose is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be...unnatural. Hence the army. If outsiders are allowed to take it, we will be left with nothing," Safiyah said.
"I'm no strategic genius but I think the army brings you unnecessary attention that makes it more likely you will be sacked by well-trained military units," Beth told her.
"Centuries ago, battered women escaped their husbands and came to this island to create a Lesbian paradise. Armies of men came upon the island to take the Desert Rose but were pushed back by ferocious female warriors," Safiyah continued.
"I don't know. That sounds like bullshit," Beth doubted.
"It came at great cost. Only a few of my ancestors survived. The next day, a field of flowers bloomed in the very spot of the battle. The blood had become sacred fertilizer. Only a woman's life essence can make the Desert Rose bloom," Safiyah said. She then cut herself and dripped blood on the Desert Rose causing it to bloom.
"That's a coincidence," Beth doubted.
End Flashback
Gotham
"She entrusted you with her most valuable secret and you fucked her. You became a threat to the entire island," Titania raged.
"You jealous?" Alice mocked.
"I'm Safiyah's right hand. It's my job to tell her there's a fox in the hen house," Titania said.
"So, you think I'm a fox?" Alice asked intrigued.
"You're such a child, but I will not hesitate to destroy you," Titania promised.
"You should probably not tell me that while you're still my prisoner," Alice advised as she played with her knife.
"The same man that gave you a second chance is the same man Safiyah got you to stab," Titania smirked triumphantly.
"Too bad I don't give a shit. You act like Ocean was something special to me. He was just a fuck-boy that interested me while I was on your island. If you're trying to shock me, you better do better than that," Alice said unimpressed.
Back at the clinic, Mary gave Ryan an injection to calm her nerves. Eventually, Ryan woke up but was restrained to her bed. "Why did you run off like that? Where did you go?"
"Angelique," Ryan replied.
"You're dying and you think to run off to have fun with your girlfriend?" Mary scolded.
"She was cheating on me," Ryan said softly. "With a panda furry."
"I am so sorry," Mary said sincerely.
"I have to go out and kill Alice. I have to get justice for both of our moms," Ryan said determinedly.
"I want to kill that bitch, too, but you need to get some fluids in you, first," Mary suggested.
"Do you love your mom?" Ryan asked rhetorically.
"Well...sometimes," Mary said declining to tell her she was still alive.
"I have to fight for social justice and minorities and that means putting a legitimate psycho serial killer down. She's living, breathing, and looking to find a way to kill your sister," Ryan pointed out. "Alice took both of our moms away. Do you ask yourself how your life would be if your mom was still here? If she could be proud of you for one more day? Ask her for advice, tell her about a crush, or hear her tell you how much she loves you?" Ryan asked rhetorically.
"Well...," Mary said awkwardly.
"I'm as good as dead, but I'm not leaving this existence without getting justice for both of us," Ryan said passionately.
Mary gave Ryan an awkward look. "Actually, my mom is still alive."
"Wait...what?" Ryan wondered.
"She's in Shanghai waiting this whole thing out," Mary revealed.
Ryan gave her a pissed-off look. "You either get out of my way or I'll go through you."
"Well, okay then," Mary said letting her go.
Flashback-Coryanna
Safiyah put Ocean and Beth on trial after Titania snitched on them. "I never thought I would see the day when a man I considered my brother betrayed this island and its people," she said throwing a Desert Rose on the floor.
"This is more than just about a flower," Ocean said boldly.
"Oh really? What?" Safiyah asked pissed-off.
"The one thing you don't have: a penis," Ocean said boldly.
"Let me kill the bitch," Titania requested referring to Beth.
"We're not killing anyone. I'm going to give you a punishment that fits the crime," Safiyah declared. "You wanted to take the thing most precious to me. I will take what is most precious to you: each other."
"No, Safiyah, not that," Beth rolled her eyes.
"You're a snake, Alice. You came to my island to take refuge in a fantasy book," Safiyah raged.
"She didn't do anything wrong," Ocean said.
"Did you fuck this man?" Safiyah asked offended.
"Where do you get the balls to ask me that?" Beth demanded.
"I'll ask again. Did you...or did you not...fuck this man?" Safiyah asked.
"It's a sick question. You're a sick fuck. I'm not going to answer it," Beth refused.
"You're going to go back home and embrace this persona of yours with great fury! You will build your own army. You will become your own queen. And you will carry out vengeance on your family you so desperately crave," Safiyah cursed her.
"I was going to do that anyway but sure," Beth said not taking her seriously.
"And you will forget all about Ocean and your love for each other," Safiyah raged.
"Believe me, you'll be doing me a favor," Beth mocked.
End Flashback
Gotham
"Safiyah took the last of your humanity and activated this cold vengeance in you. You would have run away with Ocean and started a new happy straight life. Safiyah turned you into herself," Titania said to Alice.
"Let's get something fucking straight. I was trained and corrupted for ten years by the Crime Syndicate before I even stepped foot on your island. I fucked up a lot of people in my day. I discarded lovers left-and-right. I adopted the Alice persona way before I met you fucks. So, don't think you can take credit for who I am today. I was fucked up before and after I met Safiyah," Alice said as she placed her knife to Titania's throat.
Alice then handed her the key to her cuffs. "Take the body."
"Where are you going?" Titania asked.
"To get high," Alice replied and walked off.
Alice made her way to Ocean's drug lab. "I found the lab. I'll take some samples and then burn it to the ground," she radioed Brainiac 5.
The door was then kicked open as Ryan stepped in. "Do you know who I am?" Ryan asked her.
"Should I?" Alice wondered.
"Do you know who I am?" Ryan repeated.
"Honestly, I've victimized so many black women, I've lost count," Alice admitted.
"You killed my mom and now I'm here to kill you," Ryan said to her.
"You're kidding, right?" Alice asked incredulously.
"My mom was Carol Lewis. Your gang beat her to death," Ryan accused.
"I'm sorry. I don't remember," Alice admitted.
"You don't remember?" Ryan asked dumbfounded.
"For you, the day Alice killed your mother was the most important day of your life. But for me, it was Tuesday," Alice mocked.
"You think this is funny?" Ryan asked outraged.
"Yeah," Alice said nonchalantly.
"My mom meant everything to me!" Ryan yelled at her as she went for a punch. Alice took hold of her arm and slammed her into multiple tables. She pulled Ryan back up, locked her arm out, and kicked her to the gut. She then punched her to the shoulder where her wound was. Ryan went for a punch that Alice easily dodged. Alice pushed Ryan to the floor and then kicked her to the shoulder causing Ryan to scream in pain. Alice then kicked her to the chin nearly knocking Ryan out.
Alice looked over a dazed and beaten Ryan. A sudden kicked by Ryan sent Alice to the floor. Alice quickly got up and threw Ryan into a table where it collapsed. Ryan took hold of Alice and pushed her up against the wall. Alice did a reversal on Ryan and forced her to her knees. Alice then put Ryan in a stranglehold. "I now recall your mother. She died...like a bitch," Alice said rudely.
Ryan passed out on the floor. Alice then took out a pistol and aimed at Ryan's head. She could have killed Ryan at any moment. "You're not worth it," she said as she cocked her pistol.
"Beth, remember the rules," Brainiac 5 reminded her.
"Damn...it," Alice sighed and put the gun back in her coat. "I would call the cops to arrest you. In jail, you would get the medical attention you desperately need. But...no," Alice declined and then walked off.
A peeved Alice entered the Bat-Cave and took off her costume revealing the Bat-suit underneath. "We know where Coryanna is. Why don't we extract Kate, right now?" Beth asked impatiently.
"Not until Kara authorizes it," Brainiac 5 said simply.
"When will that be?" Beth asked.
"When she's done with her self-imposed exile," Brainiac 5 replied.
"This is bullshit. We've known for a month where that island is. We should strike now," Beth pressed.
"Kara has something special planned for them. We wait," Brainiac 5 ordered.
"Well...fuck it," Beth said disappointedly. "Hey, Barney. I think I got hypnotized back on Coryanna. I need to know I have complete control over myself. I need to know that being Alice, forming the Rabbit gang, and killing all those poor people was really my doing and not some crazy scheme by a bitter Lesbian."
"I did a scan of your brain the night we captured you. There was some memory loss but, otherwise, there was no evidence of hypnotism. Hypnotism cannot change your personality, your ethics, nor can it control you. Everything you did as Alice was your own doing," Brainiac 5 assured her.
"Well...good," Beth said pleased.
Author's Notes: I'm not keen on the Alice persona being created by Safiyah's doing. Everything about Alice in this show contradicts the comics either for budgetary reasons or the writers want to eventually turn Alice good blaming everything she did on Safiyah. That doesn't fly with me. For me, it's important to show Beth's growth from being an amoral assassin to a hero over a long period of mentorship and character growth. CW is finally using the tracking device idea that I had introduced here back in 2x03. So, basically, four episodes have been wasted because the Crows, Batwoman, and Alice didn't think to enlist 4Chan to help them find the island. With the hallucinations and flashbacks, this episode was a little hard to follow and script.
