A.N. — While I normally won't be touching the movies in general, and the newest series in particular, this guy has a confirmed birthday that dictates I write him a drabble today. To tie it more into book-era canon, this drabble's not wholly about the subject at all.
55. Newt Scamander
While it couldn't be confirmed, it was assumed Newt Scamander was the only student expelled from Hogwarts who later wrote a book that was required for one of the school's courses.
Hogwarts' list of expelled students was also unconfirmed, though a few names stood out for actually rising above that ignominy. Newt was one; Rubeus Hagrid was another. Both were connected through their love of all magical creatures, though one only had to look at the assigned texts for Care of Magical Creatures — Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them and The Monster Book of Monsters — to see their differences.
