Season 2, Episode 29.

With the morning sun streaming through the hotel window, Kai's eyes peeled open bright and early. He pushed his arms down to stretch a little, bumping in to a blissfully warm lump he hadn't even registered was there yet.

He turned his head over his shoulder and smiled. Oh yeh, that's right. Wonderful things happened. And now there was a curled up man-cat against his back. Had he died in the night? Was he finally getting his paradise? Either way, it meant he wasn't going to get up quite as soon as he had planned.

Ray laid there, blissfully unaware of anything going on around him. The bed moved just a bit; the warmth he had been curled into moving slightly away from him that he went to move closer into it.

With a deep inhale a familiar scent hit his senses a bit too close, his sleep dazed brain registering it as Kai and that seemed to jar him slightly. Why was Kai so close? Why was he so close to Kai?

Blinking, forcing himself to wake up before shit hit the fan, he rolled himself onto his back and rubbed at the crud in his eyes.

"What time is it?" He asked in a yawn, "And why are you in my bed?"

Kai's eyes snapped open, having started to snooze off again. "Hn!? You invited me!" His groggy voice insisted.

He did? "I did?" Ray asked, too tired to recollect anything from the night before. What time did he even go to bed last night?

"What for?"

Kai rolled over, glaring. It was too early to have his feelings hurt. "Wake up a bit more and think a little before you say anything else..."

Ray's head turned on the pillow to look at him, "Kay..." He went back to rubbing at his eyes, stretching his legs and cracking his back before he laid there like a board and stared at him.

Something seemed a bit off, but he wasn't getting any of those bad vibes like they had done something they shouldn't.

As his eyes scanned over Kai's face as if he had the answers he was looking for, he noticed the small cut on his lower lip. How did... His eyes widened as it all came crashing down onto him. Well, whoops.

"Sorry." He said sheepishly as he rolled on his side to face him, "This is why I said we needed sleep, went to bed way too late."

Kai rolled his eyes at him. "Really wasn't that late..." Forgot about him in under 10 hours... Some bullshit...

"It was like three in the morning or something." Ray protested, "I'm sorry, I'm not the brightest when I wake up." He chuckled lightly before reaching over and brushing his thumb across Kai's bottom lip.

"How's your lip?"

"Was like midnight." He corrected, "And I told you, its fine."

Ray rolled his eyes as he withdrew his hand, "Ugh, you're so cranky when you wake up."

"Well you'd be cranky too if I forgot you..." He pouted back.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to. Really." Ray apologized again, finding the need to stretch his legs again under the sheets. "Can only guess it's cus I slept so hard, and no rude wake up calls."

Kai shifted closer. "Ooooh, alright." He forgave, wanting to snuggle back in with him.

"What about you, sleep good?" Ray asked as he fought not to smile like a dumbass at Kai coming closer to him.

Kai went ahead and got himself right in there, shoving his face in his chest and nodding. "Mmmm, wonderfully."

Ray pulled his arms around him instantly, burying his face in Kai's hair. "I just remembered something else..." Ray said with a dread filled voice.

Kai just slithered in closer, hoping he'd be absorbed and they'd become one entity. "Whassat?" His muffled voice came from between Ray's pecks.

"Alan..." Ray said, finding Kai's breath tickling him through his shirt and squirmed a little at the weird sensation. "Do you have to put your face right there?"

"Where would you rather I put my face?" He asked in a sleepy and flirty tone. Fuck Alan, they could have a few more minutes of bliss.

"S-stop that tickles." Ray squirmed again and laughed, trying to get out of his hold as his breath tickled him again.

"Can put it on mine."

"Oooooooo..." He giggled as he slithered his way up, "That does sound better..."

"As long as I don't bite you again." Ray said with a slight sarcastic tone, letting Kai wiggle his way up to his face. His hands falling from around the top of his shoulders to around his lower back.

"And you do realize we can't stay in bed all day, right?"

"Can't we?" He whined, "Pretty pleaaase..." His husky voice begged as he planted a soft kiss on him.

"No." Ray breathed in a sigh from the kiss, the warmth covering his lips as he fought a shiver running down his back as that blissful familiarity washed through him.

"Come oooon... Its protest. Like John and Yoko. Won't get out of bed til there's peace on earth."

"Who?" Ray questioned with a confused look on his face, "And no, we can't stay and leave Max on his own. If we don't go then we're abandoning him like that stupid..." He growled a little. The fun part of remembering the day before, he also remembered his small run in with Judy when he needed Driger's old attack ring. The bitch...

Kai groaned. "I knoow, I know just... Hrrnnnnnnnnnnnnn..." He whined.

"I don't like her." Ray pouted, "She doesn't deserve a son like Max."

Kai huffed and rolled away from him. "Yes. I know." He answered curtly before climbing out of bed.

Ray watched him, not bothering to get up just yet. "Remembered something else too."

"What?" He asked just as curtly.

"That the first time we shared a bed, back on that stupid boat to... Wherever we were going, you shoved me off of it and pinned me between the wall and it because I touched you."

Kai lifted his head, his back to him as he thought a moment. It wasn't long before a deep, mischievous chuckle broke out from him.

Ray narrowed his eyes, "Oh yeah, laugh about it. Was so funny."

The chuckle evolved in to a full-blown belly laugh. "Oh my god, you were all smooshed up like this!" He cackled as he threw his arms up in an awkward position.

Ray bit his lip to stop from laughing at Kai doing that weird pose, instead grabbing a pillow from behind him and tossing it at him.

"You're such an ass!"

Kai caught it, hugging it instead. "Yes, but so worth it to see you stuck between the bed and the wall! Oh shit, I forgot all about that! Thank you for reminding me!" He continued to laugh.

"Oh yeah, good to remind you how much of a jerk you were." Ray grumbled as he buried his face into the bed as he flopped on his stomach, why did he ever bother opening his mouth when around him.

"If you don't knock it off, I'm breaking up with you."

Kai shuffled and jumped on the bed, straddling his back loosely. "Oh come on... Don't throw stuff like that around. Its cause I'm a dick we have so many fun memories, ne?"

"I beg to differ." Ray grumbled into the bed, plopping the side of his face into it as he looked up at him. "I don't really like being pinned between walls and beds."

Kai cocked a brow, feeling giddy. "How about just the bed then?"

Ray's face went a few shades red, "Kind of already there, aren't we?"

"Mmhmm... Much nicer, isn't it?"

Ray's mind dived right into the gutter at that, chills running down his skin at the images that started coming to mind. Least he was belly down into the bed, if he wasn't there would have been a problem.

"Why, you gonna rub my back for me?"

Kai's hands traveled up his back. "Never done it before, but more than happy to try..."

"Heh, never played a piano before either and you did amazing." Ray purred a little as Kai's hands roamed over his back. He was only kidding, they needed to get up and dressed and ready to go, but this felt nice.

Kai bit his lip a little, the hormone demon dwelling inside him possessing him as his fingers applied pressure to his toned muscles, enjoying the small purrs coming through.

"Let's find out..."

Ray's back subtly arched into Kai's warm hands, the purring getting louder as his eyes slipped closed. He was going to fall back asleep if Kai kept doing that.

His hands came back down his spine to the base of it, smirking and massaging it. He knew he liked that bit scratched, but what about this?

Ray's skin twitched, wiggling on the bed as his body tried to follow but was unable to with Kai sitting on him. "You best not be doing what I think you are." He warned.

Kai lowered a little more of his weight to keep him there, applying more pressure. "Doing what?" He asked innocently.

"Oh don't even." Ray bit as his eyes snapped open, unable to move at all with Kai's weight pinning him down. Since when did he get heavy again? Must have been all that food he ate yesterday.

"I swear Hiwatari, stop while you're ahead."

Kai ignored him, turning the rub in to a gentle scratch. Fuck he loved doing this... Was such a damn turn on for some reason.

Ray squirmed, trying to get out from under him and grabbed the bed to try and pull himself to the edge of it.

"S-stop it Kai!" He warned through a laugh, not making it as threatening as he wanted it to be.

Kai scratched harder. "Be honest, does it feel good?" He asked with a dry, shaky voice.

What kind of question was that in a time like this?! Wasn't him trying to move out from under him and make him stop not indication enough it was?

"Hnnn." He whined a little, unsure how to really answer him as his face turned blood red again.

Kai lifted himself off, laying himself next to him and putting his hand back where it was on his back. "That a yes or a no?"

Like he had no will, his back arched the way his body had been dying to do. His face going into the sheets again, "Don't stop..."

A silent groan left his throat as his hand went back to work, his own face filling with heat as he ogled his back arching. Why was this so god damn hot!?

Like the first time this happened for too long, the pleasurable tingles running up and down his spine and his ass lifting higher, Ray pulled away without warning and rolled onto his back away from him. Quickly covering his face with his hands, he was going to die of embarrassment around him.

Kai tore his hand back. "What!? Did I hurt you!?" He panicked.

Ray shook his head, refusing to move his hands from his burning face. "Cat genetics... Like it for a while and then don't."

Kai blinked. "Oh... I'm sorry?"

"Not your fault I'm weird." Ray said behind his hands.

"No, you're amazing..." Kai comforted as he tried to pull his hands away from his face. He hadn't meant to do this to him.

Ray didn't put up a fight, letting Kai uncover his face only to be met with those incredible crimson eyes he adored so much. Then another memory hit him.

"I'm a hell beast, remember?" He said with a fake wobble in his tone.

Kai didn't hear the fake and panicked, pulling him in to him. "No! I'm sorry, I didn't mean to embarrass you! It's just so frickin' sexy!" He blurted out before he died of his own embarrassment at hearing himself use the word 'sexy'.

Ray didn't know what to do, being squished into Kai's bony chest and shoulder. His brain fizzing at the foreign word he didn't think he'd ever hear come from Kai's mouth.

What part of his ass going in the air because he liked it and then coming back down without warning, sexy?!

"Um... Okay... I was only playing..."

It was Kai's turn to go quiet in embarrassment. Well, was nice while this lasted.

"Thank you though..." Ray said in a small squeak, this morning was just getting weirder and weirder.

"I thought your piercing was pretty sexy last year." He thought he'd be fair; let them both die in embarrassment in each other's arms. It's how his nan would want him to go.

Kai seemed to take the bait. "...Really?"

"Mhmm..." Ray answered as he shifted a little in his hold, truth was he thought all of him was sexy but it was only their second day. Was he allowed to say that?

"I liked it; it suit you."

"I'll have to put it back in then..." He blushed.

Ray grinned, "Ooooo." He wiggled in his hold some more, the image alone making him get excited.

"Hey... Are we like... Actually doing this?" He asked as if he was unsure all of a sudden, pulling back enough in Kai's hold without leaving it as he looked at him in the face.

"Doing what?" He asked with a confused brow. Was just a piercing... Wouldn't take much to put it in.

"Like, are we together now?" Ray asked, maybe he shouldn't have asked. It was ruining the moment, whatever type of moment this was.

Kai tilted his head. "Um... I thought we were? Did I miss something?" Was there some kind of contract or official something he didn't know about?

Ray's face beamed excitedly like it hadn't properly sunk in yet, feeling giddy and excited to the point he was about to burst. Mornings really weren't his best.

They were together now! For reals?! He'd confessed and Kai loved him, too! All this time he was sure he'd never have a chance but he was getting it?!

Why hadn't any of this actually sunk in last night? Who cared, he was too excited now.

He pushed his weight into Kai's, getting him on his back as he sat on his waist. Trying to keep most of his weight off of him, he didn't want to snap him in half.

"Go me." He said with a stupid grin on his face, lowering himself down slowly and pushed their lips together.

Kai let out a startled noise as Ray went at his face before sinking in to the mattress. Maybe he had actually died... Gone to his Ray smooching paradise. But then again, if that were the case he would be wearing less and licking his face.

Just as Ray was getting lost in the feeling of Kai's lips on his again, there came a hard knock on their hotel room door making him jump back slightly before a growl tore out of his mouth and he turned his head at the door.

"WHAT?!"

"Ugh..." Tyson stuttered, did Ray just really yell at him like that? "We have to leave in like ten minutes, you two ready?"

Kai bolted upright, almost knocking Ray off him. What!? "ALMOST! GO WAIT FOR US IN THE LOBBY!"

"OKAY! No need to shout." Tyson answered back huffily.

Ray let out a sigh as he started to crawl his way off Kai's lap, "Fuck... My hair..." He whined as he picked at it, he'd have to do it on the bus...

Kai got up and pushed past him, bolting in to the bathroom. "MY PAINT!"

Ray looked after him, "Oh my god... You're so gay!" He called after him in a laugh, going off to grab his clothes to change and finding his wrap and brush to start the process while he waited for Kai.

"Am not!" He lied hard. Who cared, he couldn't face the public without his perfect lines!

"Uhhhuuhhhhh." Ray teased back just because he could. What was he going to do, kiss him to death?

Kai ignored him, there was something far more crucial at hand. Perfect lines... 8 minutes later, he came out with a perfect face in his baggy pants in a fit.

"My shirt! Where the hell did I put my shirt!?" Normally he could give two shits if he was a few minutes late. But this was his Golden Boy's day.

Ray shrugged while his eyes went up and down Kai's bare skin and exposed chest, the scars there like they always were and despite seeing it so many times before this felt completely different.

"I 'unno." He answered a bit dumbly. Maybe they should just fake an illness and not go, stay in like John and whoever like Kai had suggested.

Kai rolled his eyes hard. "Big help! Thank you!" He huffed as he went on to charge around the room looking for it.

Ray continued to grin stupidly, "You're welcome, though I don't know where you put it. Was it in the bathroom, that's where you changed last night." Ray said as he regrettably turned away from the pale skin, going to the bathroom and shuffling under the towels they had just left on the floor.

"It's right here." He huffed, carrying it back out for him dangling off his fingers.

Kai lit up and took it. "Thanks!" He said as he slipped the tight shirt over his head. "My gloves in there too?" He asked rhetorically as he went in to find them.

Ray threw his hands up at him and how ridiculous he was being, going to get his shoes on he had left by the door. Kai came out a moment later, fully gloved and painted and ready for people to look at him.

"You ready now? Done flapping around like some high school girl." Ray asked in a dull tone with a hip going out.

Kai made a face of outrage. "Excuuuuuuuse me for not wanting to go to a stadium full of press looking like I just got out of bed!" He fired back, his own hip popping in retaliation.

Ray grinned a bit mischievously at him, his eyes glinting. "But we did."

"I know, but we don't need to look it!" Kai snapped back, "It's bad enough we have to be seen with Tyson!"

"Be nice." Ray huffed, throwing the door open for them to leave. With Kai having taken so long running around the room like a crazy person he'd been able to speed tie up his hair which was a relief.

As the blue blade came circling back around Draciel, Max just staying there like a sitting duck, Alan's blade smacked into his, sending it flying into the air above the dish as the crowd gasped.

Max's mouth opened in astonishment, worry, and fear that this wasn't going to end how he had hoped it would. Tyson about jumped out of the stands with his own dumb stricken look on his face. Only for them to relax as Draciel landed safely back inside the dish.

"You think Max is trying to save his strength for a big finish?" Ray asked, not taking his eyes away from the dish while Kai sat to his right.

He would be lying if he said his heart hadn't kicked up a notch as Draciel had gone airborne for that short time.

"I'd say he's distracted; I don't think he's totally into the battle." Kai answered, and like Ray didn't dare tear his eyes away from the dish as he spoke.

"Hey, knock it off you guys!" Tyson bit at them past Hilary's head where she sat between him and Ray on the bleachers.

Ray rolled his eyes at Tyson, after earlier before they arrived to the tournament and all Tyson had said to Max, he didn't deserve to go off like that on them for asking a simple question.

They went to ignoring him yelling more things at Max, though were slightly impressed when it lit a fire under his ass. Yet it wasn't good enough for the first round, it ending in a draw.

Once the blades were reset and round two got underway, Ray shifted a bit closer to Kai's side. Their knees brushing slightly, though kept his face neutral as he watched Max's blade crash into Alan's again and getting the upper hand this time round.

Kai's belly burst with excitement; Max was kicking ass out there! And Ray sat closer to him, could feel him with how close he got to him. A smile cracked on his usual stone face; arms still pressed around his chest in an attempt to stop himself from grabbing up Ray's hand in the stands. They didn't need to out themselves, they had plenty of time to hold hands once they ditched the others for their last day in New York.

With Max's Heavy Viper Wall coming out, smashing into Alan's blade and knocking it clear out of the dish he was declared the winner. Alan slumping to his knees on the ground in defeat as the inspector came out to talk with him.

Getting a basic rundown and then bused back to Judy's research facility, Kai made himself scarce and kept his distance from the others by pressing his back into a pillar. Which felt like torture as Ray stood around with the others.

Why was it that they were so close now but yet so far apart?

Getting another rundown on why Alan stole Judy's rock, the previous thoughts Kai had about him not having a choice slipped away. Part of him wanting to come unglued to the pillar and lay into the greedy little shit for having put his Golden Boy through this.

Holding in his smirk as Alan was escorted down the hall with the inspector, not even sure what they were going to do with him but happy all the same he was gone finally.

"Got the rest of the day, what ya wanna do buddy?" Tyson asked as he clapped a hand on Max's shoulder.

Max just shrugged at him, his head down a little now that Alan was out of sight. "Can go for some food."

"Right on, what're we waiting for?!" Tyson cheered as he grabbed him around the neck and took off, Kenny and Hilary chasing after them as Judy excused herself to the elevators.

Finally alone, Ray inched his way over to Kai where he had come to stand beside him when Alan had been taken away. Nudging him in the arm with his own.

"Tony's?" He suggested with a cheeky grin.

Kai returned the grin, unfolding his arms and holding his hand out for him.

Dark eyes looked up from wiping the table as the little bell over the door rang. A pristine smile glowed at two adorable and familiar faces. Holding hands again, but not a couple? Hm, who was he to comment?

He sauntered over, little apron swishing as his feet skipped over to them, thrilled. "Oh my goooood! Did you boys come back to see me!?" He asked as he touched his chest.

"We did, wouldn't happen to have a table for two would you?" Ray grinned, his face glowing again as he squeezed Kai's hand in his tighter.

"Of course I do, let me just grab you two some menus and if you'll follow me." He smiled, his perfect teeth on display as he twirled back around to lead them to the same booth they had the day before.

"What'll you two be having to drink today?" He asked once they were sat down opposite of each other, Tony having caught their slight hesitation in letting the other one go at first.

Kai put his elbows on the table, leaning his chin on his hands. "Which do you want?" He asked as he gave him the same look he'd given Ray when they got their new blades from Judy.

"Mmmm, try a banana shake today since we had strawberry yesterday?" Ray suggested as mouth curled into a smile, not taking is eyes off him.

Tony glanced between the two, feeling all sorts of giddy at the look on Kai's face and the other boy almost returning it; he really needed to get his name at some point.

"One or two today?" He chirped as he grabbed his notepad from the pocket of his apron, pen at the ready and hoping they remembered he was still standing there.

"Oh, one is fine." Ray said as he snapped out of looking at Kai, turning to Tony. "Please."

Kai didn't stop batting his lashes at him. Now a little time had passed to let it sink in, he was feeling somewhat odd.

"Alrighty, I'll just put that in while you take another look at the menu boys." Tony said as he jotted down the order, "Want another bowl of extra cherries today too?"

"Sure." Ray grinned at him as Tony took his leave, turning back to look at Kai. "Should have come back last night too instead of that Italian place."

"Mmmmm..." He agreed dreamily, "Shoulda..."

"What do you want to eat today?" Ray asked, it seeming to go over his head at the moment. He was actually starving pretty badly after having to rush to catch the bus to the tournament and then dealing with the aftermath of all that.

"You pick..." Kai grinned idiotically at him, "Just nothing heavy if that's okay."

"Okay." Ray chirped a little as his eyes went down the menu.

The only thing he could settle on were those wraps he had ordered but left on the side of the road, it didn't look heavy and it had vegetables and meat stuffed in them. Not to mention bacon.

"I really wanna try those wraps, if that's okay?"

"Anything you want..." Kai smiled at him as his feet kicked a little. He was so pretty... And he got to kiss him and stuff!

Ray looked up at him from the menu, noticing the smile on his face. Him, on a plate... Or back on their hotel bed. Why didn't they just go back there and shut the door till they had to leave?!

That thought made his stomach turn a little, "We need to figure how to go about this when we get home, if we don't want Grandpa finding out and chewing us a new asshole."

Kai came back to the room a little at that. "Well... I mean, I guess we stay the same as we have been and then just be discreet if you want some alone time..." He said with a blush, "And anyway, it isn't his damn business!"

"I know it's not, but it is his house..." Ray said, feeling his mood dampen slightly. How were they supposed to go back like nothing changed? Would he even be able to do that?

"Doesn't mean he has a say in if we do this or not." Kai huffed back.

He didn't think Grandpa would mind. He'd seemed happy about it when they talked, just wanted him to stay quiet in case Ray wasn't in to cocaine and ruined everything. But it was fine! Ray was hard in to it too! So what was the issue?

At the same time, there was always someone trying to keep them apart. He trusted Gramps to be on their side, but part of him was nervous to tell him too.

"He kinda does... Like I said, it's his house. What if he feels it better to send you back to live with Dickenson or something, and only allows you to come over when we need you?"

Kai waved his hands. "Ray, stop. Just stop. You know, it isn't like we're hurting anyone! And what would his objection be? It's not like we're doing anything that's gonna make a baby under his roof or anything like that so can we please just enjoy this!?" He snapped a little without meaning to.

After all the shit. All the horrible, sad stuff he was getting this one unbelievable joy and yet somehow all Ray wanted to do was pick holes.

Ray sighed; he couldn't help it really. After all this time of wanting him and then getting him, he was terrified of it ending before it had a chance to start.

Kai was right, they weren't hurting anyone. They were happy like this and thank God they couldn't have any babies. Even if he wouldn't of minded having babies with him.

He wasn't really sure what Gramps objection would be since Kai was doing better now, he just felt like he would after everything that went down from before.

"I'm sorry, I'll stop." He apologized, laying a hand down across the table in hopes Kai would latch back on like he had been.

Kai took it right away. "It's okay. You're worrying about nothing is all."

"Sorry for the wait boy-" Tony stopped as he approached the table, clocking the two of them holding hands over the top of it. He about slammed the milkshake and bowl of cherries on the table, his dark eyes slightly narrowing accusingly.

"Okay, dish Tony the goods." He practically begged with his hip jutting to the side as he pointed between the two of them.

Ray blushed a little, though kept his hand in Kai's and rubbed the back of it with the pad of his thumb.

"We're together like that." He said proudly with that glow coming back to his face.

Tony's face dropped even though he was expecting that answer, squealing as he about danced in place. "Oh, you sweet baby gays! Congratulations! Many long and happy years!" He cheered.

Kai beamed and danced in his seat. "Thanks! He kissed me on a rooftop at sunset!" He almost cried.

Tony's face dropped, "Boyyyyy, aint you smooth." He playfully nudged Ray in the shoulder before turning to Kai, "Keep him, you hear me?"

Kai grinned, head tilting uncontrollably at the giddy joy flooding his system. "I will, Tony!"

Ray just sat there, unsure what to do as the dipping mood lifted instantly. Him smooth? Pfft. More like hopelessly stupid and not thinking, but right now he wouldn't change it from happening the way it did, not for anything.

"You better." Tony warned, his perfect smile almost permanent on his face. "Now, what can I get you to eat?"

"Those wraps from yesterday, we never got to them and I left them on the side of the road..." Ray laughed a bit nervously.

"Honey, I don't blame you leaving them when you had something better to hold onto." Tony chided playfully, "But I'll get those right out to you."

Kai laughed bashfully and waved off the compliment that had been thrown at him. Ray could hold on to him all day! "He thinks I'm better than a turkey sandwich!"

Tony laughed, full belly as he nodded. "Be right back with your order boys." He said, shaking his head a little as he went.

Ray's face only got redder, oh god this was like this morning all over again. Just completely paralyzed with embarrassment.

"What's wrong? You don't think I'm better than a turkey sandwich?" Kai asked sadly as he saw Ray's face.

Ray shook his head as he started to laugh a little, "No, that's not it. Just getting used to this I guess." He waved off, taking up Kai's hand and pulling it gently as he leaned over and kissed the top of it.

"You're better than all the turkey sandwiches out there, trust me." He smirked at him.

Little hearts popped over his head as he swooned and giggled uncontrollably. His king just kissed his hand! "Yeh! It's weird but not in a good way, ya know!?"

Ray cocked a brow, "Not in a good way?" Maybe he heard him wrong?

"NO!" He panicked, "Weird but not weird. In a good way!"

"Oh..." Ray nodded, though that didn't make any more sense to him than before.

"I just mean like its new and different but seems completely natural!" He tried to explain better at the vacant look on his BOYFRIEND'S face.

"You know, I was actually thinking that last night." Ray started, shifting in his seat. "Like, the first time we kissed didn't seem like it was the first time. Which is weird, cus it was the first time!" He spewed out, not sure why it bothered him so much that kissing him last night on the rooftop seemed so familiar.

"That's how I felt too! Guess was just meant to be huh!?" Kai gushed, feeling on cloud nine.

"Guess so."

Five days back home and things were going well, better than well really. Nobody seemed the wiser, nothing bad had happened yet and maybe this was something that they could really keep.

So far they had been careful, outwardly and with the others they acted like before. Maybe sometimes there was a slip, a more flirtatious joke here and there but nobody said a thing, and a not so innocent touch where they could get away with it.

They had devised a plan, if and when they wanted their alone time after spending most of the day with the others, they'd pack up their book and go to the far back corner of the Granger grounds, where they sat near the wall and under the slight cover of the bushes and flowers. No reading actually ever happened when they went, and they always had a time frame of when they'd break apart and go back in right before bed.

Yet, with the way they were kissing each other tonight, hands and fingers in hair and the bit of tongue they just started finding a rhythm for the day before, their time was up. And yet they didn't pull away or stop, so lost into it that it didn't even feel like they were on Earth anymore.

Until there came the harsh clearing of a throat standing over the top of them.

Kai and Ray's flushed faces and swollen lips yanked apart, jolting as their startled eyes fell on stern looking wrinkled ones. Kai instantly gripped Ray a little tighter. He smelled a fight coming and he was gonna give hell.

"So..." Gramps started as he pet at his long mustache as his eyes bounced from one boy to the other.

"This is what the two of ya been gettin up too out here, huh? Thought we all talked about this?" His voice wasn't angry, not like they first expected him to be, if anything at the moment he was just searching for confirmation to his suspicions.

Ray swallowed the lump in his throat, what he had been fearing coming to light right before he eyes. How long had Grandpa known? Did he know all along or just come to gather them for bed? How long had they been out there?!

"I..." He stopped in a stutter, what more could he say?

Kai turned himself to him, putting himself in front of Ray. "What are you talking about? All you said was to keep quiet in case he didn't feel the same way. Well, he does."

Gramps could sense the rise of a fight coming from Kai, whereas Ray was looking like he was fixing to start hitting them both over the heads with his practice sword. Part of him kind of wanted to, just because they had the gall to go around behind his back like this instead of coming to talk to him.

"And I'm happy for you that he does, that wasn't all that I had said though. Was it?" Gramps asked, keeping his voice as neutral as he could and focused on Ray mainly for his next set of words.

"When we had that talk, did I not say that now wasn't the time because things needed to cool down. The two of you needed to find those boundaries you needed in order not to push your teammates away?"

Ray felt himself nodding. Yeah he remembered that, but things were going fine still. Granted it had barely been a full week back home, he didn't think after all the strides before would come crumbling down around them anytime soon, maybe not ever.

Kai growled. "And who the hell are you to dictate what we do huh!?" Like hell anyone was going to come in and ruin this for them!

"Currently, the one who has been coming behind and picking up your messes." Gramps reminded as a graying brow rose close to his hair line.

"Or do I need to remind you, both, of the problems that were goin' on not even a month ago here. One minute you're thick as thieves, the next you're at each other's throats and saying awful things. You really think, now, is the time for the both of ya to be jumping into something as fragile as a relationship when you can't even get a good enough grip on your friendship?"

Kai was rendered speechless. How did the old man keep doing that!? "But we fixed all that!"

Grandpa scoffed lightly, "Just barely, you two haven't had the proper time to hold onto that friendship long enough for this. And yes, I knew what the two of you feel for the other, but there was a reason why I didn't want to push either of you into this. It's not the right time."

Ray's head went down, once more that damn line coming out of Grandpa's mouth. Time, time, time. It was all about timing and granted he still wouldn't take back what happened on the rooftop back in New York, Grandpa was right in a way.

Now wasn't the time to start something when they'd just started getting their friendship, their team, back together.

"It was my fault..." He admitted in a small breath, keeping his head down.

"I aint pointing blame on either of ya here." Gramps quickly waved the words out of the air, "In all honesty I was expecting this to happen at some point, just not so soon."

Kai snapped his head round, panicked. "You're not agreeing with him are you!?"

As Ray's shoulders started to shake and his mouth opened, Grandpa clapped his hands together to grab Kai's attention before he blew up on Ray too.

"R-cat and I have had more talks about this K-dog, he aint agreeing or disagreeing with me he's just feeling guilty he started this when I said not to. Don't go blowin yer fuse off on him, that aint fair to him." He scolded lightly.

"Oh you have!?" He yelled sarcastically. "And just what shit are you feeding him behind my back!? Again, this has nothing to do with you at all! You don't know how we feel, so butt out!"

Chancing it, not sure if it would do what he hoped, Ray gently put a hand down on Kai's shoulder before he made this completely worse and irreversible.

His earlier fear of Grandpa sending Kai back to live with Dickenson came flooding through his chilled veins. If they tore them apart like that it would really be hell to pay and he didn't want to have to go through that or witness it.

"Kai, stop. Please." He begged in a small, trembling voice.

Kai yanked it out his hand. "Why should we!? Why should we get pulled apart again just because some guy didn't like it!? Unless you lied and don't feel as much as you said you do! Peacing out the first hurdle!" He accused.

He turned his scared rage back to Grandpa. "You know, if you and that other old prick just stopped meddling! If he had just let us go at the airport, then none of this would have happened! No one would have gotten beat up, no one would have died, none of it! When are you going to learn!?"

Ray's chest clenched painfully, not just at the harsh words Kai had thrown at him and pulling away from him like he did. It was also what Kai had said to Grandpa, when he had said almost the same thing to Dickenson when Kai was in the hospital.

Maybe he was doing this wrong, if he loved him like he said he did, like he knew he did, he'd stand beside him and support and fight for this like they had been.

But what if they did get pulled apart again, for good? He'd lose him all over and he wasn't sure if he'd be able to survive that.

Gramps looked a little stunned for a minute, trying to take in the words that echoed into the darkening sky. Half of him was tempted to just walk away, let them figure it out on their own but the other half didn't want to deal with the fallout if and when it all hit the fan again.

"Now that's enough, you can't go and point fingers when that had nothing to do with us. You two are too young, inexperienced to have gone off on your own, uncle in Paris or not!" His once calm voice finally rose, jerking a hand at Ray still sitting behind Kai.

"And that aint no way to talk to him when he's done everything he can to make sure you've been fine, that he's done nothing more than hold your hand and care for you when you've given up on yourself when at your lowest. If he didn't love you he wouldn't have done all that, now would he?!"

Kai spun to Ray and ignored him. "You talked about this. That's why you said all that stuff on the roof?"

Ray flinched a little as Kai turned back on him, though nodded back to him all the same. He wasn't going to lie to him, there was no point in it. This was also why he had said he was scared, feared this exact situation would happen if they weren't careful and apparently they hadn't been careful enough.

Gramps just arched another confused brow, what roof? "How long has this been going on for?!" He demanded to know.

Kai snapped his head round and practically hissed before going back. "Then what is this!? Why didn't you tell me? So you don't know if you want this?" He asked, fear dripping from his voice.

"What makes you think I don't want this?!" Ray finally snapped back at him, having enough of the back and forth and Kai's anger towards him.

"And I did tell you, and I said that I was scared so stop it before he sends you back to Dickenson!"

"Now, we don't have to do that..." Gramps stated though his words seemed to just pass over the two of their heads.

"I have never lied to you, so don't sit there and try and tell me that I did about how I feel. You have no right to try and do that to me, Gramps is right. After all I've done to show you, have been there to pick you back up you should not be trying to tear me down like this if you love me like you say you do." Ray continued to snap in a small growl, his hurt eyes shifting away to look at Grandpa next.

"Kai is right, it's been a week and things have been fine! How are we supposed to figure this out on our own if we can't even try? I'm willing to try and figure this out, but people need to back the hell up and let us figure it out!"

Kai looked back and forth between him and grandpa. Why was he even still here!?

"I didn't say you were lying! But forgive me for wondering what the hell is going on when I find out you've had talks about how we shouldn't be together!"

"I only had those talks because I didn't know how you felt! If you just needed me around to be there for you, or if you actually liked me back. You know how many times I almost just jumped the gun before? How increasingly harder and frustrating this all became. I didn't want to be a terrible friend and pull you into something when you were recovering, but I do want this!"

Kai took up his hands, scared eyes piercing his back. "Then fuck what anyone else says, right?"

"Now hold on a second!" Gramps tried to jump back in. The hell just happened?!

Ray gripped Kai's hands back, still trembling slightly as he nodded his head until it slowly started to shake and he looked away from him again.

He wanted this, he really did, but Gramps was right. And it didn't help that Kai had turned on him so quickly like he had, he understood in a way, they were both scared for all the right reasons but it still hurt what Kai had said, had accused him of.

"But he's right, we were just finding our friendship again after everything. And you still need to focus on finding yourself again. It doesn't change how I feel about you, nothing ever will, but we may have jumped into this too quickly and that's my fault."

Gramps let out a sigh of relief, trust R-cat to be the voice of reason in this mess. But that didn't stop the dreadful feeling he had in the pit of his gut at all of this.

"That's what you two need to do, work on that friendship first then come together when you're both in the right state of mind for something more." He jumped in again, hoping the two of them were listening.

Kai stopped breathing, feeling his heart obliterate in to fine dust. His eyes watered hard. Of course...

Him? Happy?

How fucking silly of him...

Ray's eyes watered back as he chanced a look at him. He had hurt him when that was the last thing he wanted to do. He had fucked up, in more ways than one. He feared this from the start, that jumping the gun would just do what it had to them right now. He could hit himself.

With his trembling getting harder, trying to think of a way to salvage anything they had before it got to a point he wouldn't be able to anymore, he turned his watering and slit eyes to Gramps. His hands holding tighter to Kai's.

"How do you expect us to go about, living together like this, like nothing has changed? How are we supposed to just act like we don't feel this way, we weren't hurting anyone." His voice strained as it broke on him.

"It aint gonna be easy..." Gramps stuttered, unsure now what to do as the two of them were back to clinging for dear life onto one another.

Maybe he should have kept back, let them figure it out.

Ray scoffed slightly, "None of this has been easy!"

Kai pulled his hands back, storming towards the door. He couldn't breathe... The fuck was this!? And why!?

With his hands free and Kai gone, staring after him with tears running down his face, Ray pushed himself off the ground. Staring hard at Grandpa with his eyes still slit.

"Why did I even try talking to you about this? How are we supposed to fix any of this now?!"

Gramps sighed empathetically. "This is exactly why I said wait, dog!" He droned softly.

"And I tried!" Ray cried back at him, "You try and keep all this... This stuff within you for a year and half and try not to implode on yourself!"

"I dig, I really do!" Gramps tried to calm. He had one raging bull. Didn't need a tiger as well.

"And I'm all for you two, which is exactly why I'm trying to protect you from ruining something wonderful by diving in too soon! Kai's doing good, on the mend, but he aint there yet. What happens when you both fall hard and have a spat? Set him off like when you went to that festival with Tyson and Max?"

"Then we keep trying, keep reminding him that they're not there to get between us. How can we say we're there for him all the time and not show it when things go to shit? And what's so wrong with me wanting to be there while he gets help? I'm not there to stop him, as a partner or a friend, I'd still be there as he gets the help he needs."

Grandpa sighed again. "And I'd be down for it if it weren't for what went down before. He's googly eyed for you, no doubt about that. But while things are this bad, he's just going to feed off you to make it allllll magically go away, and you and I know that aint how this works. For both your sakes, he needs to heal his own heart before he can give it to anyone else, and his own head before he can think smart enough to make the choices of a person committed to another."

Ray sucked in a painful breath, his lip wobbling as the tears kept coming. Tearing his eyes away from him he nodded.

"I'm sorry."

Grandpa stepped up and put his arms round him. "You don't need to be sorry, Ray. Love is a hard and complicated thing. It does things to ya. You two will be all right, you just need to let him fix himself so he can be everything you want him to be."

"But he already was..." Ray hiccuped as his face planted into Grandpa's chest, his arms left limp at his sides as he sobbed harder.

"That's not what I meant. K-dog is bomb, but he's coming out of something harder than all this. Let him get back up is all I'm sayin'."

Ray nodded, of course that wasn't what Gramps meant but his head hurt too much, while his heart ached something fierce.

He didn't think he could say anything more, do anything more but just stand there. He didn't even want to go into the house now, he'd sleep outside on the ground if meant not having to face Kai like this.

Gramps patted Ray on the back a little after the sobs subsided. "Go an get yourself washed up and head to bed." He gently pushed him on his back to get him to move.

Ray moved and kept going when Grandpa's hand was no longer urging him to go, only stopping for a short minute to look back at him. Getting shooed at to keep going he snapped his head back around, going to looking at his feet as he went to the house.

Gramps let out another sigh, Ray was the easy one... Now he had to go and tame a bull...

Taking the long way around the house, just to try and scope to see if Kai had wandered out front or not, he came through the front door and headed for the bedroom upstairs.

Kai lay curled up on the bed, suffocating himself with the pillow. Oh god, the pain! His life was over. That was it! The sign! He was going to be alone and unloved forever!

Grandpa stepped into the room without bothering to knock, closing the door behind him before he made his way to the bed and sat down by Kai's feet.

"I'm real sorry bout all this K-dog. I understand this aint no picnic, but you have to get yourself better before the two of you get real serious here." He said in what he hoped was a soothing voice, then again it probably didn't matter what kind of voice he used on him.

Kai weakly hurled his wet pillow at him. "You ruined my life!" His weeping voice shrieked at him.

Gramps was a little shocked at the pillow hitting him in the face, and was a bit more surprised it really didn't hurt.

"Now come on, I aint done that. He loves you! You love him, that's something to be happy about."

"Oh go to hell!" He cried back. Sure he was happy, breaking them up...

Gramps cheekily looked around the room, "Thought we were already there." He snorted at his own joke before going back to serious.

"Now look here, there aint no reason to get yourself all worked up just yet. You just need to focus on yourself, get better for not only you and the rest of the team but for Ray. If you aint in the right head space and you two have a problem with that jealousy of yours, how you gonna be able to work things out the way they need to be? You want this something you two can hold onto for a lifetime, or a short time?"

Kai sniffled in to the mattress, regretting throwing his pillow. "Forever! But it's all ruined now! Who knows how long it's gonna take for them to make me normal! Years! Someone's gonna come along and take him and I'm gonna be back to square one!"

"It will be work, K-dog, but think about this in the long run and how much better off the two of you would be when that mess in your head gets all sorted out. And if someone came along and was able to take Ray away and he went, then maybe he don't feel for you the way he says he does. BUT! I know that aint it, and you should know he don't want no one else. Ya just need to get this fixed for yourself."

A sad whine left his throat as he finally lifted his streaming eyes. "What if I can't be fixed?" His voice wobbled. "What if I'm stuck like this? Does that mean I never deserve to be happy?"

"You deserve happiness, but Ray deserves someone who can be everything they can be for him. And you aint gonna be stuck like this, just like J-dog is gettin better, you will too. It's just a process but will only go faster with the effort you put into it." Gramps explained, glad that Kai was slowly starting to cool down.

"But I am everything I can be! Why do you keep making me out to be a monster!?" He cried back at him. "And I am trying! Don't you dare tell me I aint!"

Gramps wanted to smack himself in the head, instead he took Kai's earlier discarded pillow and tossed it back at him. "That aint what I said! Clean your ears son and listen to what I'm sayin'. You want to get better; you want to be better, then keep doin what ya have been and then you can Ray go off into the sunset together. Aint that hard and you'll be thankful ya got yourself in the right headspace beforehand. This aint no way to start a relationship when your heads all clouded up, it don't make you a monster and I've never said so."

Kai took it and rolled in to it like a sad slug. "Then when am I "better"?" He asked genuinely.

"When you know you'll be able to handle seeing Ray with the rest of the dudes without flipping your lid, when you know you can feel secure in yourself again and be comfortable in your own skin and head."

"Again, don't see that happening. The last bit. The others I don't mind so much."

"Well then that's what you need to work on now then, right?" Gramps refrained from sighing at him again, "How can you be secure in a relationship and not your own head?"

"Because I love him!" He cried, curling in to himself harder.

"Love aint a band aid you can just slap on and make things better." There went him sighing again, he was in desperate need of a vacation.

"I know that! But it helps don't it!?"

"Well... Yes, it can. When you have the love and encouragement of your friends and family there to support you, it can help but it doesn't fix it. And only you can do that." Gramps said with a small shake of his head.

In a blur, the curled up mess flipped from the mattress to curled up to the evil old man and put his head on his shoulder, staying quiet. This all hurt too much... Because he was kinda right.

Gramps, silently stunned, put his arms around the boy and rubbed his back. He took no real pleasure in doing this to them. Once Kai got better, once the bad stuff wasn't weighing him down too much, then he'd be one hundred percent for them to go off and do whatever.

"I really do care for him though. It isn't like he said he was worried about." He sniffled as he soaked in the comfort.

"He knows that." Gramps said gently, keeping his hand rubbing Kai's back. "Had to cool him down too when you bounced."

"Do you believe me though?" He asked as he lifted his wet eyes to him.

"I do, but maybe that's something you can also work on. Show him you care without the neediness behind it, and the best way you can do that is keep making strides forward with what ya been doing."

Kai nodded tiredly. There was too much to work on... It wasn't fair.

Gramps patted him on the back a few more times, "If you need anything you know any of you can come to me, and I wish ya both would have come to me bout this given the circumstances instead of lettin it go down like this." He said with a slight hint of disappointment in his tone.

"But I get it, ya'll didn't want to lose what you found and you shouldn't have to lose it. So keep it, hold onto it while you're gettin better and try again once you're there."

Kai just nodded in to him. He didn't think he had a reason to consult him about it. And maybe that was the problem.

With most things, he'd always made choices based on logic and reason, but since he got 'sick' or whatever label people wanted to call it, his choices about almost everything had gone AWOL. Everything was an impulse and a snap decision. And never was the right one. From downing a tub of pills to shoving the others away to this.

Maybe he really wasn't ready to jump in to a relationship yet...

"Thanks Grandpa..." He said quietly.

"Anytime my man." Gramps pat him on the back again, "And just know I'll be rooting for the two of ya when things get better, and I'll keep rooting for you to get better. And you will."

Kai went a step further and hugged him. "You annoy me, but I don't know what I'd do without you."

Gramps let out a hearty chuckle, "Likewise K-dog." He laughed as he hugged him back, "Go and get yourself all cleaned up now and head on to bed, your first day back at the shelter starts tomorrow and you'll need to be daisy fresh for your J-dog."

Kai brightened ever so slightly. He'd bought presents for Miki and Yuuri, and managed to find an "I love NY" chew toy for Jacky. Was excited to give it to them.

"Okay." He said as he stood up in a rare case of obedience.

Gramps watched him go with a smile on his face, he really didn't think he'd be able to get through to him but he had. Which was a relief, if he hadn't been able to he wasn't sure what he'd do.

But boy did he have some good stuff to tell Stanley the next time they had tea.

Ray shifted in his futon, the other two across the room behind him talking amongst themselves even with the lights off.

Gramps had caught him in the kitchen getting a glass of water after his shower, letting him know he had gotten through to Kai and he was calmed down.

So then, where was he?

They were all down there but Kai had yet to emerge and come to bed with them all, his futon lay empty beside Ray's a little bit away across the floor. If Kai was calmed down then why wasn't here with them?

Maybe, in the long run, it was better they didn't see each other till morning. Maybe Kai couldn't stand the sight of him now after ripping his heart out. But part of him was desperate to go and see him, to make sure that they'd be alright come morning.

Soon the other two stopped talking, the house was deadly silent as everyone fell asleep except him. He gave it a minute, going back and forth in his own head about doing what he wanted to but before he could stop himself he slipped out of his bed and quietly made his way to the stairs. Once more blessing his heritage for having such light steps.

When he reached the door he froze up slightly, the lights were on under the crack in the door. Kai was awake still. The sound of his blood rushing in his ears drowned every other sound out as he raised a shaky hand to the wood and gave it a few gentle taps.

"Yes?" His voice called through.

Ray's throat closed up, what if this just set him off again? Ruin everything? He figured he'd already done enough of that, didn't need to keep playing in the messy puddles and making them bigger.

Drawing his hand back from the door he went to turn, only to stop short when it was opened. Apparently he had taken too long to answer.

"Hey..." He waved a little at him.

"Hey..." Kai answered back as he stared a minute. Leaving it til even he felt awkward before he stepped back to let him in.

"You wanna...?"

Ray stared for a minute, taking in Kai's offer. No...

"Sure." He forced his legs to move and stepped into the room with him, going to just standing in the middle of the room.

Kai shut the door, walking to the bed and taking a seat, patting the space next to him.

"You sure?" Ray asked, though was already following orders and sitting himself down next to him.

"Yeh. Why!?" He asked as he jumped. Was that not allowed!?

"Because the last time we were on a bed, we were doing things we shouldn't." Ray answered with a nervous laugh.

Kai sighed. "It's not that we shouldn't. That implies it's wrong. It isn't wrong. If anything its right. Just not yet..." He let out sadly.

"No, we shouldn't because I shouldn't have started it on the roof. That's my fault, and I'm sorry for doing that to you.

"After the day we had I couldn't help myself, and I had been trying before not to slip up with it. Always felt like I was going to implode, because I didn't want to risk our friendship on top of everything else." Ray explained, trying to get it off his chest. In a way it was almost like he was saying goodbye, but that wasn't it. He just didn't know what else to really say to him.

Kai swallowed the lump in his throat. "And if I wasn't such a mess this wouldn't be a problem..."

"But you're not, Kai. You've gone through more shit than anyone I've known, was only a matter of time before everything got too much to handle." He said softly, turning to face him more head on.

"It doesn't make you a mess, it just makes you human who needs an extra hand. There's nothing wrong with that."

Kai slid his hand over. He didn't want to look at him in fear of weeping like a baby again.

"...Will you wait for me?" His quiet voice trembled.

Slowly Ray's hand slid over the top of Kai's, his heart aching again as he focused on the back of it.

"As long as it takes."

Kai sniffed hard. This felt too hard. Even though he said what he wanted to hear. "...You know it isn't how you thought, right?"

Ray glanced up at him, giving him a questioning look. "What isn't?"

Kai hunched his shoulders. "That this is all just because I need you. Well, I mean, I do need you. Would be lying if I said I didn't. And being with you does make me feel better. But I felt funny about you and needed you long before all this stuff happened... So it isn't what you thought."

"I'm sorry I said that, I just got confused when we would get carried away sometimes and couldn't figure you out. Like that night you bought the fried chicken, I almost slipped up but it just seemed to go right over your head."

"What do you mean?" He asked, his turn to lift a puzzled brow.

Ray grinned a little, "Exactly, right over your head that I had grabbed your shirt at all. Was flirting with you the entire time. And you just went, 'oh. I'll get you that recipe for the chili'."

Kai blinked at him, the rusty cogs turning before the penny dropped. Oh... "I was excited about Jack!" He blushed defensively.

"As you should be, but really you are so dense. Been doing this with you since before we even left last year." Ray couldn't help but laugh at the two of them.

"You did!? When!?" Kai spluttered. Bullshit! He would know if he was being flirted with.

"We'd be here all night if I went down every instance." Ray dismissed, "Just know it started somewhere a little after Roberts awful castle, didn't get to the point it is now till Russia and I was in the hospital."

Kai froze and turned glowing, hot red. The hospital. His most shameful orgasm.

"You... You okay?" Ray asked at the weird look on his face, rubbing his thumb over the back of his hand.

He cleared his throat. "Mmhmm. Might have been around then I started thinking I might too..." He brushed off. God that had been a good one...

"Really?" Ray bounced a little beside him.

"Yup..." He squeaked.

"Are you gonna come downstairs tonight?" Ray questioned, not sure what else there was to say.

Kai shook his head. "Not tonight..."

The bouncing stopped, "Why?"

"I dunno. Need to think, I guess. I don't know what to do here." He said honestly.

"Oh... Okay." Ray deflated almost completely, his hand sliding off Kai's as he went to stand. "Well, sleep good."

Kai opened his mouth. Was it wrong to ask him to stay?

Ray stalled a little, what for he wasn't sure. "See you in the morning."

"Stay?" He spat out, losing.

Yes, yes, yes! "If Gramps finds out..." He shook his head, "Otherwise I would." His voice wobbled some.

Kai shrugged and gave a small smirk. "He already does, I guess."

Was this a test? What was he supposed to do here? Cave and obey or get up and leave and hurt them both?

"Kai..." He stopped, what was the point in trying to avoid the inevitable and each other?

Like back on the roof he moved as if he were being tugged by an invisible wire, lips connecting in seconds before he melted into Kai's chest. Kai let out a small groan, kissing back tenderly. If there was ever a motivator to heal, this was it.

Wrapping his arms around Kai's neck, pulling him closer he poured everything he had into kissing him. Make it last for as long as he could, who knew how long they were going to have to wait, but he would wait for as long as Kai needed.

Kai finally pulled away for air, dragging his fingers through his hair. "Love you." He fired out breathlessly before divining back in.

"Love you too." He tried to say between smacks, his words getting distorted and muffled as his head got foggy.

Kai gently pulled him as he lay himself back. If this was the last for... Who knew how long, he would squeeze every drop he could. Shivers ran through Ray's body, shifting as to not hurt him while he lay over him without breaking the kiss.

Getting a bit bolder, like they had outside, he nudged Kai's bottom lip with his tongue. He opened his mouth, letting him in without a second's hesitation, arching his body in to him.

Ray groaned, his tongue slipping in quickly before pulling back. "You're gonna get us in trouble again." He smirked, panting slightly.

"Worth it." He replied immediately before pulling him back.
