Chapter 57-Letting Go

Emori sat beside Otan's bed in medical with a book that Atom had given her. She looks at Otan and sees that his eyes were open. She drops her book. "Hey," She says to her brother, who looks at her. "What do you remember last?" Emori asks. Otan looks at the bandages around his stump.

"I lost my hand," Otan says. Emori nods.

"Yeah, Abby, Jackson, and Nyko were able to save you," Emori tells him. Otan looks away from her and over to Billy.

"What about him?" Otan asks.

"He got a blade through the torso. They said he should survive, but who knows," Emori tells Otan, who nods. "Sleep, I'll get Abby when you wake up later," Emori tells Otan, who nods. Emori sits down and grabs the book. Clarke wakes up and feels Lexa's arm around her torso. She smiles as she holds Lexa's hand.

"I would suck if your mom came in," Lexa says.

"My dad would be worse," Clarke tells her.

"Was last night your first time?" Lexa asks the blond, who nods. "I was just wondering," The door opens, and Roan comes into the room. He turns around. "This better be good, or you will die," Roan nods.

"Titus is outside with guards. I think he knows about Billy, and I'm pretty sure Luna and Anya are about to have Charlotte, Tris, and Aden kill him," Roan says.

"Distract him. We'll be out soon," Lexa tells him. Roan nods as he leaves their room. "Come on," Lexa says as she gets out of bed and starts to get dressed. Roan walks outside and over to Luna as Anya and Titus argue.

"You knew I would see that," Roan says to her.

"I see Lexa as a sister. I didn't want to see it," Luna tells him. Bellamy walks outside and over to them.

"Who's the bald dude?" Bellamy asks Roan and Luna. Titus looks at him as Charlotte and Tris laugh.

"I am the flamekeeper," Titus says. Bellamy looks at Luna and Roan.

"He's an advisor for the commander," Aden tells him. Bellamy nods as Lexa and Clarke come outside.

"Titus, you should not be here," Lexa says as she walks to the front.

"I was at the Desert clan, and I heard of the war, and I came back, and then I heard that the leader of Skaikru is nightblood. But I have seen him bleed, and his blood was red," Titus says to Lexa.

"Watch your tone, Titus," Lexa tells him. "I made a decision to make sure if I fell during this battle there would be somebody to take my place," Lexa tells Titus. She moves closer to him. "Is there a problem with what I did?"

"This could cause war, Heda. I advise that you fix it," Titus says.

"Killing him. Is that what you are advising her to do?" Kane asks.

"Yes," Titus says. "Use your head here, Heda,"

"I am using my head," Lexa says.

"It seems more like your heart. It seems like you have been using that since they landed. You should have let Nia have him," Titus says to Lexa.

"I am perfectly capable of separating feelings and duty," Lexa says to Titus. "I will not kill Billy cause that would risk the only chance we have of defeating Mount Weather. Now leave or lose your head," Titus nods as he pulls out two letters.

"Here," He hands one to Lexa and one to Roan.

"Leave the guards," Lexa says. Titus nods as he walks to the gate and leaves. Lexa opens the letter and reads it. "Great," The others look at her. "The army will take a few more days. It says between two and four days. What about you?" Lexa asks Roan.

"It is a letter from my mother," Roan says. Wells and Ontari look at him. "It says, Roan, I understand that you have been working for the commander, and you saved the leader of Skaikru and delivered him to the commander as well as his mate and the blond. As Ontari has fallen during the battle with the hundred, that means I need you back. So I have an offer for you. Deliver me their leader, and you will be welcomed back with open arms. If you want, bring the blond and his mate and the man who set that ship off and killed Ontari. I will see you soon, my son," Roan reads. He motions a guard over. "Burn this," Roan tells the guard, who nods as he leaves.

"She believes Ontari is dead. That is a bonus," Wells says.

"Not for long. We have three problems now," Anya says.

"Three?" Jake asks.

"Mount Weather, Titus, and Nia," Anya says.

"We deal with one at a time," Atom says. Lexa looks at the guards.

"Major Byrne," Lexa says. Byrne looks at Lexa. "All of you will listen to her. Are we understood?" Lexa asks the guards, who nods. "Let's finish cleaning these bodies up," Everybody nods as they go their own way.

Wells walks into his father's room and sees Jaha with a glass of water and a food tray. Jaha looks up at his son. "Son," Jaha says.

"How are you feeling?" Wells asks his father.

"Good, how is clean-up going?" Jaha asks.

"Good, we should be burning the bodies tonight," Wells tells his father. "We put Finn, Sterling, and Mia on their own pyre. We hope Billy will be awake to send them off. Lexa is sending the clanless off, and Kane is sending the guards off," Wells tells him.

"I didn't think the commander cared about the clanless," Jaha says.

"She does. They may not have been part of a clan. But she is still their commander even if they tried to kill her," Wells tells his father. Jaha nods. Wells nods before he starts to leave.

"Wells, I'm sorry," Jaha says. Wells stops by the door and turns, and looks at his father.

"You don't get to be sorry. You didn't find your father almost dead on the floor with alcohol poisoning. I thought you died when I first saw you, dad," Wells tells his father before he leaves the room. Jaha sighs as he leans back in the chair and closes his eyes. In the workshop, Jake sat in his chair, looking at a photo he had taken with Raven and Mia when Mia had become a zero-G mechanic. He hears footsteps behind him and turns to see Indra in the doorway.

"Need some help?" Jake asks her.

"I am still figuring this place out," Indra tells Jake as she walks into the room. Jake sets the photo on the table, and Indra looks at it. "Was she your daughter?" Jake shakes his head.

"No, on the Ark, we had zero-G mechanics. Raven is one of them. Raven and I taught her how to be one. She became like a daughter," Jake tells Indra. "Clarke is my daughter,"

"I have a daughter," Indra tells him. "Her name is Gaia, and she is being trained to become flamekeeper. We do not have the best relationship. I started teaching her to be a warrior, but after her father's death in battle, she decided to train as a flamekeeper,"

"I didn't expect this for Clarke. I wanted her to become a mechanic, but she followed her mother," Jake says. "Do you know where Gaia is now?"

"Polis or she is looking for nightbloods," Indra tells him.

"Are you close with the commander?" Jake asks Indra, who nods.

"She was born in Tondc, and she was trained young and when she was old enough. She was sent to Polis to be trained to become commander," Indra tells Jake.

"May I ask a favor of you?" Jake asks Indra, who nods. "It seems like our clans will be coming together a lot. Would you teach me trigedasleng?" Jake asks Indra.

"We'll start now," Indra tells him.

"Shouldn't we help them?" Jake asks.

"They will be fine. Say Ai Laik Jake kom Skaikru," Indra says. "It means I am Jake of the sky people," Indra tells Jake, who nods as he starts to practice. Lexa walks over to Ontari and Wells. They both look at her.

"May I speak to her?" Lexa asks Wells, who nods as he walks away. Lexa leads Ontari away.

"Are you going to kill me?" Ontari asks.

"No, I respect Roan, and he wants you alive. You are the only person here who can answer my questions," Lexa says to the girl. "Also, if anybody kills you here. It would be Luna," Ontari nods.

"What is the question?" Ontari asks.

"Cosita, how did she die?" Lexa asks her. "Did you kill her?"

"Nia kept her in a cell and would torture her for days trying to get info. She never broke, but I always brought her food. She didn't say anything to me at first but one day. She asked me to kill her. She told me that she was close to breaking. I did I killed her; I killed her fast, and when Nia found out, she almost killed me. I hate Nia. I want a chance, Heda. That is all I ask," Ontari tells the commander, who nods.

"Anything else?" Lexa asks.

"She said that if I ever met you to deliver a message. She loved you," Ontari tells her. Lexa nods.

"Thank you, Ontari. Now go," Lexa tells the nightblood, who nods as she walks away, and Lexa goes back into camp. Atom walks into medical and nods at Raven, who nods back. Atom goes over to Emori and Otan as Emori helps Otan stand.

"Abby cleared him?" Atom asks.

"Abby and Nyko," Emori tells him. "Said he has to come back during the night so they could watch him," Atom nods as he looks at Billy and Raven. "She said he's doing better. She's hoping he'll wake up soon,"

"He will. He's strong. He survived a blade through the stomach. He'll be okay," Otan says.

"Come on. Your clothes still have blood on them. You can use some of mine," Atom tells him. He nods as Emori and Atom follow. Emma walks into the tent after them. Raven looks at her.

"Took you long enough," Raven tells her.

"I've been busy," Emma says.

"Yeah," Raven says. Emma sits in the other chair.

"Has Kane been in?" Emma asks.

"He stayed the night and left this morning after Titus came. He's helping with the bodies," Raven tells her. "I'm assuming that is where Bellamy is,"

"Yeah, they are mostly cleaned up," Emma tells her. "How haven't you broken down?"

"Believe me. I came close. But it wouldn't help. Abby won't say it to me, but he's going to wake up, or he's gonna die," Raven says as she stands up. "I'm going to get something to drink. Can you watch him?" Raven asks Emma, who nods. Raven leaves the camp and walks over to the bar they had. They still had some of Monty's moonshine. Raven grabs a cup and sits down, and takes a drink as Wick comes over. "Not in the mood for your shit, Wick,"

"You want a friend?" Wick asks her. Raven looks up at him and nods. Wick gets a cup and walks over, and sits down across from Raven. "I'm sorry for the way I acted. I was a dick," Raven smiles.

"Thanks," She says. Wick stands up and looks at her.

"Come on," Wick says to her. "This isn't helping,"

"What do you have in mind?" Raven asks him.

"When he wakes up. He'll need some help that he won't like. He also won't like staying in medical. So let's make radio for Abby. She's not far from your room, so she would be able to get there quick," Wick says. Raven smiles as he follows Wick inside. They walk into the workshop and see Indra and Jake.

"Hey, guys," Jake says.

"What are you doing?" Raven asks them.

"Learning trigedasleng," Jake says.

"How's it going?" Raven asks.

"Not great. He's still trying to say I come in peace. He got his name down," Indra says.

"Ai kom op raun chilnes," Raven says as she walks over to her workbench. "I had Anya, Aden, and Tris as teachers," Raven tells him as Wick sits down and they start working. Octavia walks away from Roan and goes over to Lincoln.

"Hey," She says to him. Lincoln looks down at her. "What the hell was last night?"

"Do you love me, Octavia?" Lincoln asks her.

"I don't know," Octavia tells him. "I care about you a lot,"

"I want you to be happy, Octavia. That is all I want," Lincoln tells her. "Yesterday, you were moving bodies, and you were smiling. I haven't seen much of that since the dropship. I wasn't the one who made you smile, though. I love you, Octavia kom Skaikru," Lincoln says to her. "But I think you may be falling for another. Just think about that, and no matter what happens after this. I will always care about you," Lincoln tells her before he walks away. Octavia stares at him and turns, and walks back over to Roan. Billy sees white as he opens his eyes slowly. The first person he sees is Abby.

"Billy," Abby says. "Nod your head if you can hear me," Billy nods his head. "Good, what is the last thing you remember?"

"Roan and Lincoln were carrying me," Billy tells her.

"Okay, good," Abby says as she helps him sit up a little bit. "Go get Raven," Abby tells Emma, who nods as she leaves. "You got stabbed. You barely made it,"

"We lose anybody else?" Billy asks.

"Guards and Sterling. Otan lost his hand," Abby tells him. He nods.

"Have they cleaned up?" He asks the doctor.

"Yes, we planned on burning the bodies in an hour," Abby tells him.

"I got to be there," Billy says.

"You will be," Abby says as the tent flap opens and Raven comes in.

"You're away," Raven says as she comes over and kisses him.

"I am. Help me up," Billy says. Raven looks at Abby, who nods. Abby and Raven help Billy out of bed. Raven helps him walk outside. Kane comes over first.

"I would hug you but your wound," Kane says. Billy nods. The others soon come over.

"We want you to burn the bodies of the 100," Bellamy tells Billy, who nods, and an hour later, Billy found himself on a platform in front of a pyre. Kane and Lexa also stood by one. Billy grabs the torch. He lights his pyre as Lexa and Kane do the same.

"Yu gonplei ste odon," Billy says, followed by the others. "May we meet again," After a few minutes, Lincoln comes over and helps him down. Everybody left, heading for their rooms after a hard day of work. Billy layed in bed that night as he held Raven knowing that the next day. He would give the order to kill the rest of the clanless in their area.

Azgeda

Nia sat on her throne and looked up when a guard came in. "My queen, I have news," The guard says.

"Did my son deliver?" Nia asks. The guard shakes his head.

"Ontari is alive, and she is living with the sky people and the commander," The guard says.

"Is she choosing this?" Nia asks.

"Yes," The guard says.

"I want a spy. Send them now!" Nia roars at the guard, who nods as he leaves. Nia sat in her chair and slammed her knife down, cracking the ice.

A/N Thanks for reading. There is still one more part of this clanless arc before we get back to Mount Weather. Nia is now aware of Ontari, and that will play out slowly. We are getting close to being back on track, but I do like these chapters. As always, suggestions, ideas, and feedback are welcomed. Until next time
