~A Few Weeks Ago. Somewhere in Musutafu.~
Ayame Shimisu was a young woman with beautiful auburn hair, stunning green eyes and a large scar decorating her right cheek. To most, she was just an average young college student who worked part-time at the local bowling alley. She was quiet, kept to herself and didn't really have any friends. But that didn't actually tell the entire story. To the few that truly knew her, she was the leader of an organization that had caused quite a bit of chaos across Japan over the last few months. One known as 'Derelicta'.
At the moment, the quirkless woman more commonly known by her alias "Rogue" was sitting in her apartment with an assortment of maps spread across her coffee table. Ever since the events that transpired in Tokyo over the summer, she and her followers had been laying low while they reorganized themselves and planned out their next move. But now that a few crucial pieces were finally in place, it was time for her and her men to resume their crusade.
While Rogue was putting a few finishing touches on her latest plan, the sound of her burner phone ringing brought her out of her machinations. Curious to see who could be contacting her at a time like this, she wasted no time in picking up the object and placing it next to her ear. But not before covering her mouth with a device that was used to mask her real voice.
"Hello?" She said in a tone unrecognizable to those who've never heard her speak.
"Red Sun."
"Nitro..." The terrorist leader smiled after hearing the code word she had given to the genius bomb-maker. Genuinely astonished to be getting a phone call from her former associate. "And here I thought that you wanted nothing to do with us anymore. To what do I owe the pleasure of this unexpected surprise?"
"I hear that you and some of you friends are planning on taking a small...vacation up to Hokkaido pretty soon."
"And how exactly did you hear about that?" The brunette woman asked.
"I have my sources."
"Of course you do. So, what do you want?"
"Let's just say that I'm willing to help you and your friends with your...luggage. But in exchange, I'll need you to pick me up a couple of souvenirs on the way back."
Now that certainly got the quirkless woman's attention. Nitro rarely asked her for any favors. Most of their dealings had been strictly transnational. With a few exceptions here and there. But considering all that the boy had done for her and her organization, she was more than willing to listen to what he had to say.
"We'll get you anything that you need as long as you help us out. But if you don't mind me asking, what are you looking for? It must be something pretty valuable if you're willing to contact me of all people. And more specifically, why?"
"Let's just say that if everything goes well, you and your buddies will have a lot of shiny new toys to play with."
"Oh, how exciting. Tell me more…." The woman smirked.

~Near Tokyo University~
After hanging up, Sasuke Unohana made sure to turn off his untraceable burner phone before removing the battery and hiding it in the cabinet underneath his sink. As much as he hated having to deal with Rogue and her lunatic followers, their group certainly was useful when they needed to be. And the fact that they had good connections in certain areas was something that he couldn't ignore. The boy had finally figured out what he needed to start replicating the quirk erasing bullets. And he was more than ready to begin working on his new project as soon as possible.
Once he was done, the quirkless genius stepped out of his bathroom and looked around his cozy apartment. Even though he didn't have a whole lot of personal belongings, Unohana made it a point to keep the place as clean as possible. Something that Kohsai and the other staff members at the orphanage had taught him at a very young age. However, despite his best efforts to keep the place neat there was an array of beer cans and opened containers of sushi on his coffee table that had him a bit annoyed. As well as the person responsible for the mess.
After letting out a quick sigh, Unohana walked over to his bed where none other than Nanao Tokage was currently passed out. Like many times before, the woman came over yesterday to help him out with one of his English assignments. But somewhere along the way she decided that it would be a good idea to order some food and drinks. And as per usual, he ended up having to take care of her after she went and overdid it.
"Nanao-san, time to wake up." The boy gently shook her sleeping form a couple of times before receiving an annoyed groan.
"Ugh..." Was the very first thing out of the elder Tokage sibling's mouth. "What the hell happened?"
"You got drunk and passed out on my bed again."
Nanao took a brief moment to rub the sleep out of her eyes before finally regaining the ability to think properly. "Oh, well hello there handsome. I would ask if you got me drunk just so you could sleep in the same bed as me. But we both know that you're too much of a goody-two-shoes for that. Not that I would mind though~."
"Flirting first thing in the morning? I didn't even think something like that was possible." Unohana awkwardly laughed.
"What time is it?"
"A bit past one o' clock."
"I see." The woman nodded as she pulled the blankets off her body. "You got any water?"
Luckily, the quirkless teen was already prepared. He quickly pointed over to his nightstand where a bottle of water was waiting for her. And without even a second thought, the green haired woman chugged its contents like her life depended on it. After getting herself in order, Nanao then sat up and gave the boy a curious look.
"What is it?" He asked.
"Did I ever tell you that you have pretty eyes?"
Naturally, Unohana couldn't help but blush at Nanao's words. You would think after all the time the two had spent together that he'd be used to this kind of thing by now. But he most definitely wasn't. After all, this was the first time he had been treated like this in his entire life. Most girls his age typically stayed away from the quirkless kid. So having someone openly mess with him in such a coquettish manner was a bit outside of his wheelhouse.
"Honestly, with the way you talk it's hard to believe that you're still single." He joked.
"I know, it's criminal!" She dramatically posed with a hand over her forehead. "You should be a gentleman and take this tragically single, yet totally gorgeous, woman out on a date this afternoon."
"I don't think that would be very appropriate. Besides, I was planning on spending some time at the science lab today."
"You're still working on that bio-fuel thing, right?" She asked him. "How's that coming along?"
"Pretty well. I had a major breakthrough last week and I want to get to work as soon as I can."
"Well Mr. Genius...since you're going to abandon me in my time of need I guess I'll head down to the library today. I have an exam next week and I really should start studying for it."
"I thought you had the best grades in all your classes?"
"I do." The woman beamed confidently. "But I can't let myself get complacent now can I? Most jobs don't hire people who don't do well in school y'know."
"Oh yeah, didn't you say that you were planning on becoming a guidance counselor?"
"I still have some time to officially decide if that's what I really want to do. But for now I'm just worried about getting through all my classes."
"Well, I hope you do well on your test."
"Wanna give me a kiss for good luck?" She said, wiggling her eyebrows in a very suggestive manner.
With a red face, the quirkless teen began waving his hands in front of him. "I d-don't think that I should."
"Hmph...I swear, one of these days I'll get you to fall for my womanly charms."
"Let's just hurry up and get ready. We don't want to be late now do we?" Unohana immediately deflected.
"Fine..." Nanao huffed out in disappointment before the two college students cleaned up and headed out for the day.
~Present Day~
The weekend couldn't come soon enough for the students of class 1-B. After all the training and a few grueling exams, it was finally time for everyone to go out and enjoy some of what early autumn Japan had to offer. While most of the hero course hopefuls were out and about doing whatever their hearts desired, two of them elected to spend their time off in the dorms.
*Whack!* The sound of a rolled up piece of paper hitting Tetsutetsu across the check echoed inside his bedroom.
"Wrong!" Tokage yelled with a disapproving look on her face.
"Dude c'mon!" The silver haired teen groaned. "We've been at this for two hours straight. My brain can't take it anymore!"
"Stop complaining!" The girl shot back. "I already told you that neither of us are leaving this room until you get every question on the worksheet correct."
At the moment, Tokage and Tetsutetsu were sitting on the floor of the young man's room surrounded by various textbooks, notebooks and home worksheets. Much to the boy's chagrin, the two were spending their Saturday morning studying everything they had learned during class this week. After his utterly abysmal score on their recent modern literature quiz, the 'lizard tail splitter' user took it upon herself to make sure that he knew all the material like the back of his hand.
Back in middle school, the duo would do something like this all the time. But ever since coming to U.A. both of them had been so wrapped up in their own personal lives that they never really got the chance to sit down for a good old fashion cram session. And after Tokage had gotten a text from Tetsutetsu's mother to see if she could help do something about his grades, she saw no better opportunity than today to whip the academically challenged boy back into shape.
"Can we please take a quick break? I'm dying over here." The 'steel' quirk user pleaded with puppy dog eyes.
"Fine..." The girl relented. Taking a moment to stand up and stretch her limbs out after being in the same position for the better part of half an hour. "But after this we're jumping right into math."
With that, the two of them simply took the time to relax and let their brains wander off to whatever came to their minds that didn't involve anything with a worksheet attached to it.
"So where is everybody today? I didn't see Juzo, Izuku or Reiko at breakfast this morning." Tetsutetsu inquired as he took a bite out of a ball of aluminum foil he had been saving as a snack.
"Izuku's hanging out with Blizzard. Apparently the two of them are doing some sort of sibling bonding thing today. As for Ghosty, she told me that she was locking herself in her room until Monday. That new game, "Elder Scrolls XVIII", dropped last night and she's trying to get in as much gaming time as possible before the weekend is over. And I'm pretty sure that Juzo went back home to visit his parents." The girl explained.
"Oh okay." The silver haired teen simply nodded.
"What about Awase? Honestly I should've dragged him in here too since his grades are just as bad as yours."
"He went to go see a movie with Shoda and Bondo."
The two friends chatted for another couple of minutes before Tokage eventually decided that it was time to get back to work. Tetsutetsu tried to negotiate for some more time, but that was the last thing the girl wanted to hear out of his mouth right now.
"Look here Chromedome! Either you open up that workbook, or him I'm gonna shove this piece of rusted metal I found by the dumpster down your throat!" The girl threatened him as she waved around fist sized piece of iron that appeared from out of nowhere.
"Why do you even have that?!"
"Why not?"
Knowing that Tokage was more than willing to make good on her declaration, all Tetsutetsu could do was sigh and comply with her orders. And with that, the duo spent the rest of their afternoon nose-deep in their textbooks.
While Tokage and Tetsutetsu were busy hitting the books, Midoriya was currently walking the streets of Saitama Prefecture's shopping district with Katsuragi.
It had been a while since the two of them got together for anything that didn't involve hero work. And the number nine heroine thought that it would be a good idea to have a little bit of "bonding time" with her younger brother. Luckily for Katsuragi, she was able to take the day off. And although she genuinely wanted to spend time with Midoriya, she also needed some help carrying her bags of newly acquired clothes. Usually Lily would be the one accompanying her on these excursions. But the black and blue haired woman was working. So the green haired teenager was the next best option.
"So do you usually buy this much stuff when you go out?" Midoriya asked while holding four of the woman's bags.
"No." Katsuragi shook her head. "But I don't get a lot of chances to spoil myself these days. So I thought that I'd go a bit crazy."
"I see." The boy nodded.
"Are you sure you don't want me to buy you anything? I really don't mind. We still have a few stores we haven't hit yet."
"No, it's fine. I'm not really into the whole 'fashion' thing anyway."
"How about getting something for Tokage-chan? She seems like the type of girl who'd enjoy a nice dress or two."
For a brief second, Midoriya considered the idea. However, the 'telekinesis' user had no clue where to even start. Tokage did like to dress up whenever they were able to get away from the school and go on dates. But he wasn't exactly sure what kind of clothing would be appropriate to get a teenage girl as a gift. "I'll think about it."
"Alright." The green haired heroine nodded.
The two pseudo-siblings continued walking along the bustling streets for a few more blocks. And in that time, numerous people stopped them along the way. Primarily to ask Katsuragi for her autograph and to snap a couple of photos. Surprisingly, quite a few people also asked to take some photos with Midoriya. The boy had almost forgotten that whole 'Derelicta' incident made national news. So he was definitely thrown off guard by it.
Oddly enough, Midoriya did find it quite irritating though. He couldn't quite put his finger on it, but something inside of him was really put off by the whole thing. He was a rather shy and reserved person by nature. And he didn't exactly do well in front of cameras. But a feeling like that was almost completely foreign to him. It was only after thinking about it for a minute did he just chalk it up to part of Tatsumaki's personality slipping out again.
Honestly, the whole situation concerning him and his quirk was still mind boggling to him.
There were plenty of stories during the pre-quirk era about people experiencing personality changes and odd dreams after receiving organ transplants. However, most of those were just considered legends or tall tales. But after learning from Katsuragi that the apparent reason for his newfound obsession with candy apples was something that Tatsumaki had as well, he was starting to question whether or not those old stories had some merit to them. After all, quirks themselves were almost no different than regular organs according to current medical science. So it made sense. And Tatsumaki herself was said that there would be some overlap with their personalities.
The boy was quickly brought out of his thoughts when Katsuragi tapped him on the shoulder. "You okay?"
"Huh? Oh...yeah."
"You kinda spaced out there for a minute."
"Sorry about that." He rubbed the back of his head.
"Don't worry about it. I'm not really used to people stopping me on the street like that. But ever since I made it into the top ten it's been happening a lot recently." The woman laughed. "I'm starting to understand why onee-chan avoided the press like the plague whenever possible."
"Well at least you don't curse out photographers and reporters every time a camera is pointed at you."
"Right!" The green haired woman agreed. "My parents would always give her hell for making herself look so bad. I still don't understand how she made it all the way up to number four. Honestly, if she was a bit nicer she probably would've grabbed that number two spot away from Endeavor."
"Yeah, I can see that." Midoriya agreed.
"Speaking of which..." The woman's tone shifted a bit. "My parents said that they wanted to meet you sometime soon. I told them that I'll talk to you about it to see if you were up to it."
"Seriously?" The boy asked. Feeling a bit surprised by that. "I remember you mentioning it back when we did our internships."
Naturally Midoriya was a bit hesitant about meeting the woman's parents. Katsuragi had already informed him that she ended up telling Lily and her parents about him receiving Tatsumaki's quirk. Apparently the 'bone spur' user already had her suspicions after their end of semester exam. Which wasn't exactly unexpected considering the fact that she knew how the 'Psychic Sisters' quirks operated. Plus she was Katsuragi's best friend after all.
However, the idea of meeting her parents was sort of nerve wracking. Like she previously mentioned before, Fubuki and Tatsumaki came from a pretty high-class background. They didn't come from a famous hero family like the Iidas. Or a major business conglomerate like the Yaoyorozus. But their family was still pretty well known. Her father is the current Deputy Minister of Finance and her mother's a fashion designer. And from what he knew, they weren't exactly happy to learn that their eldest daughter's quirk was now in the possession of a teenager they had never met before.
"Well, I'm gonna have to meet them sooner or later. Sure, why not?"
"Cool. Maybe we can all get together in a few weeks? They're supposed to be dropping by the agency the same weekend as my birthday. I'll be sure to ask Inko-san if she'd like to be there too."
"Yeah...that's probably a good idea."
It was then that the woman decided to change topics once again. "So is everything alright with your quirk? No more issues, right?"
"Nope, all good." He told her. "I remember you saying that I was at about fifty percent of where Tatsumaki was before she died. I feel like I've hit a wall when it comes to my actual output. But I am improving on my control."
"Glad to hear it!" Katsuragi then smiled at him. "But you shouldn't really be in a rush to get stronger. We both know that your output will greatly increase eventually. So right now just focus on fine tuning. Don't take this the wrong way, but you're still a bit sloppy in certain areas."
"Yeah, I know."
Eventually, the green haired duo finally made it to the next destination of their journey. Which was yet another clothing store. But unlike the previous five they stopped at, this one was apparently having a sale on shoes. And there was no way that Fubuki Katsuragi was going to let this opportunity slip by her if she had anything to say about it.
Right when the two were walking through the automatic glass doors, they came face-to-face with a rather unexpected person.
"Well, look who we have here. If it isn't Japan's newest top hero." A beautiful blonde woman with purple eyes wearing a red blouse, beige jacket and black pants said with a slight smirk on her lips. This person of course being Yu Takeyama. Also known as Mt. Lady.
"Mt. Lady? I'm surprised to see you here." Katsuragi greeted her.
"I know, right? I saved the owner of this store a few days ago and he told me that he'd give me a discount on some heels whenever I had time to drop by. And well...I just couldn't turn the man down now could I?"
"How very fortunate for you…." The elder green haired sibling gave her an obviously fake smile.
Katsuragi wasn't exactly a fan of Mt. Lady. She didn't like the fact that the woman used her looks and body to garner as much popularity as she could. And she may or may not have heard from Edgeshot that the blonde said some pretty disparaging things about her because she made it into the top ten before she did.
Almost as if the two were sharing some sort of telepathic link, Midoriya could instantly tell that his older sister was not happy to be breathing the same air as 'gigantification' quirk user.
'Do they not like each other or something?'
"Oh, and who do we have here?" Mt. Lady then diverted her attention over to him. "I haven't seen you in a while."
It was then that Midoriya finally remembered the last time he had ever encountered Mt. Lady in person. And that was when All for One had taken over his mind and forced him to attack the group of heroes that came to rescue him. He could only recall bits and pieces from that night outside of his fight with his sister. But he definitely remembers seeing the gigantic heroine sprawled on top of a collapsed building after getting hit by his "Hellstorm".
"I'm so sorry for what happened!" The boy instantly bowed to her. Hoping that she wasn't too upset over the whole affair. Thankfully there wasn't anyone else around or he might have gotten a bit embarrassed.
"Hey kid, don't worry about it." The blonde waved off and then shrugged. "Not gonna lie, I was pretty pissed about the whole thing when I woke up. But after the cops explained the situation I let it go. "
"I see. Well thank you for your understanding."
Then, much to their surprise, the blonde haired woman stepped forward. Taking a moment to get up close to the boy as she placed a hand on his cheek.
"I do need some kind of compensation for my trouble though." Mt. Lady said. "Y'know...now that I get a good look at you you're actually not that bad looking. Kinda plain, but definitely on the cute side. And you're pretty popular for a school kid. How about you come intern with me the next time around? I think that the two of us working together would get quite a few headlines-"
*Cough*
Mt. Lady stopped when she noticed the almost paralyzing aura coming from the green haired woman standing right beside them. Oh, that's right. Apparently the kid was Blizzard's younger brother. Or at least that's what she heard from Endeavor when they were all getting ready for the raid on the 'League of Villains' hideout. Now that she thought about it, she may have read an article saying the same thing not too long ago.
As much as the twenty-third ranked heroine would love to scoop up some more fans by taking on one of the most popular hero students in Japan. She definitely wasn't in the mood to try and poach her colleague's brother. Especially while she was standing right in front of her.
'And she definitely looks like the overprotective type.' Mt. Lady thought.
"Now, now, Mt. Lady...I don't think that Kamui Woods would like that idea very much." Katsuragi said in a slick tone. Making sure that the blonde was aware that she knew all about her "alleged" relationship with number seven hero.
"Uh...a-anyways...I should really get going. I hope you two have a wonderful day. Toodles!" Mt. Lady said nervously before quickly retreating out of the store. Leaving the two green haired siblings to go about their business.
"I didn't think she acted like that when there weren't any cameras around." Midoriya said, still feeling very awkward about what just happened.
"Never underestimate that woman's desire to gather as much fame as she can. I suggest you start getting used to that whenever you officially go pro. Girls love throwing themselves at male heroes to make a few headlines. "
"I don't think that Setsuna would like that very much." The boy laughed.
"True." Katsuragi also chuckled. "Anyway, let's get in there! These shoes aren't going to try themselves on! And with any luck we might be able to find something that your girlfriend would like while we're all it."
"I guess you're right."
"Oh yeah! I was going over that book you gave me with all those notes about moves onee-chan was working on before she died. I got a chance to practice some of them and I think I might have some ideas that you'd be interested in."
"Like what?" The boy's eyes practically lit up after hearing that. Anything his sister had come up with definitely deserved his full attention.
"Well, I created a new ultimate move after working out the kinks with "Psycho-Zone". And it's pretty awesome if I do say so myself!" The woman smiled confidently. Secretly enjoying the look of anticipation that the boy was giving her.
"What is it?"
"I call it, "Gravity Well"."
While the students were all out goofing off and having fun, Nemuri Kayama was capitalizing on her time off by spending the weekend at the Tokage residence. This was one of the few times that Urie had a three day weekend. And the "R-Rated" heroine was sure as hell about to get as much "bonding time" as she could with the man before having to go back to work and dealing with her students.
"Geez, I can't remember the last time we had the place to ourselves like this." The black haired woman smiled. Laying across the sofa with her head in the blue haired man's lap.
Since the chances of either Nanao or Setsuna dropping in on them were effectively zero, the woman made sure to wear something a bit spicy for her man to look at. That being a pair of red shorts showing practically every last inch of skin on her long legs. And a stringy tank-top that she was one wrong (or right) move away from bursting out of. Although Kayama usually preferred to wear sweatpants and sweaters when she wasn't on the job, today was definitely a special occasion.
"I know, it feels like forever. With me working and the girls at school it's practically a ghost town in here."
"How is everything going by the way? Those Detnerat people haven't been giving you a hard time have they?"
"Not at all." The man shook his head. "Some of them are a bit odd. But they at least know how to get the job done."
"Good! The last thing we need is you getting stressed out. I don't want to see any wrinkles on that handsome face of yours, Mister." Kayama laughed while pinching the man's left cheek.
"So...when do you think we should tell the girls the news?" Urie then asked.
"There's no need to rush. It's not like they don't already know anyway." Kayama shrugged nonchalantly.
"Good point."
"Anyways...I think this has been long enough of a break. You in the mood for round nine?"
"Geez, I'm not a machine Nemuri."
"Could've fooled me~." The woman gave him a playful wink. In her mind, she was trying to make up for all the years that she spent chasing after the blue haired man in as little time as possible.
"How about after we have breakfast? Or...lunch since it's already three in the afternoon."
"Fine by me."
Urie leaned down and gave the woman a quick peck on the lips before flipping the television over to the JNN. Luckily he did, or else the two adults would've missed the urgent news bulletin that came up on the screen at that exact same moment.
"This just in! Wide scale panic after chaos erupted at Aogiri Medium Security Prison in Hokkaido! Details are still coming in, but we have confirmation that many of the inmates being detained at this location have escaped. The police have also confirmed the use of heavy weapons and explosives. Several guards and inmates have been found dead, but the official numbers are still coming in.
Numerous inmates are now unaccounted for. Including all those who participated in the terrorist bombings that occurred in Tokyo over the summer. Along with several known drug traffickers and weapons smugglers." The news reporter spoke.
This was more than enough to get Kayama to sit up and begin reading every little detail that she could on the screen.
"Aren't those the guys that you all had to deal with?" Urie looked at her. Only receiving silence in return.
While the woman's mind was going a mile a minute thinking about what this new development could mean, there was only one thing that she could say. "Oh, shit..."
A/N: Whoa...two uploads in one weekend? That doesn't happen often. I'm having writer's block with my other story. So I thought that I might as well just get this one out the way while I felt the motivation to. Like I said before, this was going to be a bit of an intermission chapter to catch up with other characters and groups. It's been a while since we've seen Nanao, Urie, Unohana and Katsuragi.
1. For all those wondering, I already revealed Rogue's identity earlier in the story. She'll only be playing a minor role in the post-timeskip chapters of the story. But this was really the only place for me to drop her information without it not fitting in well with what else is going on.
2. Next chapter….drama. And quite a bit of it.
Like always, thanks for reading and don't be afraid to leave a comment/review. Have a wonderful day, and stay safe!
