Chapter 58

Callie's P.O.V:

It's been two weeks since my and Arizona's fight. To say that it was a small one would be an understatement, because needless to say, she's still pretty pissed at me and honestly, I can't really blame her. If it had been the other way around, and she had the same doubts, I would've been pretty pissed myself. Ever since the fiasco took place two weeks ago, it has really taken a toll on both of us.

As I lay awake in bed, thinking about everything that happened two weeks ago, I couldn't help but feel guilty for letting someone get inside my head as Lauren had done. It was 6 a.m when I realized I wasn't getting back to sleep, so I decided to get up and get a shower to start my day, letting Arizona sleep a little more. After collecting my clothes, I made my way into the bathroom. Fifteen minutes later, after I was showered and dressed for the day, I went to Noah's room to find him wide awake.

"Good Morning, Mijo. Did you sleep well?" I ask my 8 and a half month-old. He lets out a little squeal as I lift him out of his crib "Shhh...Mommy is still sleeping. so how about we go down and make some breakfast? How does that sound?"

After walking into the kitchen, with Noah on my hip, I open the fridge to get an idea of what to make. "How does omelets sound, Bud?"I ask, bouncing him a little bit. All I get is another little squeal, "Okay, fine, omelets for Mommy and I... Bananas and cheerios for you." I state with a laugh. After getting the ingredients out of the fridge and the pans out that I need from the cupboard, I turn on the music I have on my playlist, I got right to work. After twenty minutes of being distracted by dancing with Noah and cooking, the sound I hear causes me to jump.

"This is definitely the cutest thing I've ever witnessed," the voice says. I turn and find my wife standing in the doorway, watching us, with a huge smile on her face.

"Good Morning, Beautiful, did you sleep okay," I ask her

"Yeah, I guess," She says, stepping closer to us.

"You feeling any better?" I ask her, placing a kiss on her cheek,

"I'll be fine," She shrugs, "Hi Buddy, you helping Mama with breakfast?" He just flashes her a dimpled smile, then lets out a little squeal. As Arizona reaches her hands out, Noah throws himself towards her, throwing me off guard, causing me to drop the spatula I had in my hand.

"Whoah, hey buddy, be careful," I say to him, "I guess he wants you, Mommy." Taking Noah from me, Arizona walks over to the cabinet to grab the box of cheerios and two jars of baby food, then heads over to the table and puts Noah in his high chair. After everything was all done and plated, I join my two loves a few minutes later, placing a plate of a very loaded omelet in front of my wife. Arizona studies the plate for a minute, then scrunch her nose up in disgust, "What? What's wrong with it?"

"I can't do mushrooms," she tells me, pushing the plate away.

"What? Since when?" I ask her, furrowing my brow in confusion, "You love mushrooms,"

"I know, but right now my stomach can't handle them. Ever since you made that..." stopping mid-sentence.

"You okay?" I ask her when I see her start to gag. She swallows a couple of times, but then covers her mouth with her hand, stands up quickly, then bolts in the direction of the bathroom. Instead of following her, I decided to give her some space and take over feeding Noah his breakfast.

A moment later, Arizona walks back into the room, "You okay," I ask.

"Yeah, but I swear, this child hates me," she growls.

"No, he doesn't," I say with a chuckle, "He's just not playing nice right now. Did you want me to make you something else?"

"No, I'm just going to have a bowl of cereal," she says, walking back over to the cabinet to grab a bowl, "At least I can handle that,"

"Looks like Mama is going to have to go to the store and stock up on cereal, Bud," I coo at our 8 and half-month-old.

"I want to talk to you about something," She addresses, sitting down next to Noah.

"About?" furrowing my brow

"I want you to get a DNA test," Arizona states.

"What? You're not serious," I tell her, giving her an odd glare. When she doesn't budge, I realize that she was actually being serious, "Oh my God! You are,"

"I'm sorry, it's just that, after everything that happened two weeks ago..." she starts

"I said I was sorry, Arizona," I say, cutting her off, "What more do you want me to say?"

"I know you are, but I just want to prove to you that he's yours so that…"

"Arizona, you don't have to prove anything to me. I know he's mine, It was just a moment of weakness." I tell her.

"No, it wasn't, Callie and you know it. You let Lauren get inside your head and that caused you to doubt me." She states, getting a little loud, "The night Noah was conceived, that was a moment of weakness, for both of us. Also, when this one was con.."

"Babe, it's okay, I get it," I say calmly, putting my hand up, "I will do the test if that's what you want," l give her a little smile, then turn my attention back to Noah, feeding him another spoon of bananas.

After breakfast was finished and the kitchen was cleaned, I went up to find Arizona in Noah's room.

"So, what do we have planned today?" I ask, standing in the doorway.

"Well, while you were downstairs, Doug called and asked me to come in."

"What? Why?" I ask her.

"Because apparently, he hired someone to cover me on days that I will have class when I start school in a couple of weeks. He apparently he only wants me to work part-time,"

"I can understand that. Did he say who the new hire was?"

"Nope. He only said that she was a college student and that she just transferred to Seattle," She tells me.

"Okay, well I'd like to come in too, to see who this new person is." I tell her.

"Nosey much," Arizona states jokingly, walking up to me, "Here, he's all ready. I'm going to go get ready, then I'll take him over to Teddy's."

"Just a little," I laugh, taking Noah from her grasp. Before she could leave the room, I grab her wrist, "Hey, I am sorry,"

"I know, Calliope," She replies, then heads into our room across the hall.

*Sorry for the late update. This chapter really gave me a hard time. But I finally got it after a few weeks. so hopefully you all enjoy it. So, after what took place two weeks prior, do you think it was wrong for Arizona to ask for a DNA test from Callie? and Also, last chapter, I had a reader point out about Noah's whereabouts, and I'd like to point out, that was a mistype. I originally changed that one around when I was editing it, and I must have missed that part where Callie was holding him the Drs. Office, but Teddy actually him at the house.*
