"Hmm..." Inside the Big Donut, Steven can be seen humming. Obviously struggling to make a decision on the food he wants. Lion can be seen by the counter napping.

"You can do it, Steven." Said Sadie, breaking the silence and Steven's conclusion.

Steven smiles at her. "Thanks, Sadie." He thanks her. "It's just, I could get a donut, which would be tasty. But I always get donuts." He spread his arms out to the donuts displayed in front of him. "Shouldn't I be living life to the fullest and trying new things?" He raised a brow. "So tonight, maybe I'm thinking..." He scratches his head. "Spicy Pretzels?"

Sadie suggests. "Why don't you ask your little friend?" She motions her arm towards the sleeping Pink Lion, who suddenly sits up from his nap.

A growl-like yawn escapes the pink animals' breath as he approaches the freezer contacting the awfully disfigured Lion Lickers, pressing his face against the glass. Steven groans as he approaches the pet. "Lion, those are gross. No offense."

"You kids better hurry it up." Warns Sadie. "Lars and I are closing up-" Speaking of which, Lars cuts her off slamming the back door to the employee room open, entering the front of the Donut Shop, jazzing to music on his headphones, and eating a chocolate glazed donut while exiting the building. Sadie sighs. "I'm closing up for the day."

Steven looks at the freezer and sees several bags labeled with Sadie's name at the bottom. "Huh?" He looks at her. "Hey, Sadie! There's a snack named after you?" He asked with a raised brow.

Sadie shook her head. "Nah, those are all lunches my mom packed for me."

"Aww," Steven began. "That's so nice."

"Ehh, actually, it's pretty embarrassing." Sadie shrugs, lying her face on top of the glass counter. "She's been doing it for years. I mean, I know how to feed myself! They just make me feel like a kid, you know?"

Steven taps his chin and asks with a grin. "Can I try one?"

"Sure." Sadie then warns. "But, choose wisely. Some of those have been in there for a few months."

Minutes Later

Once back at the Beach House, Steven and Lion went to the kitchen and placed the lunch bag on the counter. "Alrighty, Let's see what we've got here." Before he opens the bag the Warp Pad goes off, revealing Anaya and both Pearls Blue and Violet. "Oh, hey guys!" He waved to them. "You made it."

"Of course we did." Anaya began with a smile. "We were told by Pearl to stay over for the night while the others go on a serious mission." She looks at the two Pearl's. "Right Gems?" They began agreeing with her before noticing the lunch bag.

Blue asks. "Did you make that for Sadie?" The others looked at the young Gem confused.

"Oh, no." He answered. "I got it from her at the big donut. She said it's one of the lunches her mom packed for her. She didn't want it so she let me have it" He pats the side of the bag.

Violet then questions the boy. "What's inside it?"

"Don't know yet." Steven shook his head. He then grabs the top. "But would you like to see with me? I can split whatever's in it with you if you want."

The three thought for a moment before Anaya answers. "We haven't gotten a chance to eat lunch before we left. I say sure." They approach Steven and his pet Lion, witnessing as he opens the top of the bag before pulling out a plastic bag.

"Looks like a classic PBJ sandwich cut into 4 triangles." He smiles at the four triangles of the cut sandwich. "Very nice, it's the only shape a sandwich should be. Mama Sadie, this lunch is a win." Steven looks at the three, presenting the open plastic bag. "Want a slice."

Anaya and the Pearls reached in one at a time and took out a slice each. "One of my favorite sandwiches." Added Anaya as they take a bite or finish the slice whole.

"It's salty, yet sweet." Blue analyzed the PB & J by taste, giving a small grin. Steven soon dumps out the rest of the snacks from within the paper bag, which Lion sniffs, causing the bag to latch onto his snout, making him back up towards the door, trying to get it off.

Steven examines each snack before putting it to the side for the three to pick out. "There's also cheese & crackers, an apple, yogurt. And last but not least we have...Whoa!" He grabs the cookie he's amazed by and runs over to his pink pet. "Lion, Lion, look at this! It's a cookie shaped like a star." He laughs and places it near the star on his shirt, matching it. "I guess you could say this cookie is...Out of this world, eh?" He earned a couple of laughs and giggles from the three.

"That's pretty good Steven." Anaya smiled at Steven before Lion inhales and blows the lunch bag off his nose, hitting Steven in his face before drifting down.

Unaffected by the bag, Steven takes a bite of the star cookie and looks at a painting of his mom hung above the door. He hums after munching. "I wonder what kind of lunch my mom would've made me." Swallowing he gasps. "Maybe actual space cookies!"

"Then they would've truly been out of this world." Violet laughed a bit after telling Blue and Anaya who joined her, soon talking to one another. While doing that, Lion walks beside Steven and sits down, looking at him.

Steven gives out a sigh. "I just wish...I knew a little more about her." He is then poked by Lion's nose at the shoulder, bringing his attention to the pink animal. "Blink if this means you love me!" He asked Lion. The pet only stared at Steven, who then blows into Lion's eyes, causing him to blink. Steven gasps with a grin and stars in his eyes.

"He loves me!"

Later at Night

While Anaya, Blue Pearl, and Violet Pearl were beginning to sleep downstairs on the couch near the window together, Steven was preparing a makeshift bed for Lion, using the cushions from the red couch near the stairs of his room. "All done! I made sure to make it extra squishy, just the way you like it!" He opens his eyes to find Lion missing from the spot. "Wha...?" He looks before spotting Lion getting on his bed.

"Hey!"

While Lion crawls under the blanket of the bed, Steven approaches him. "Hey, get out of there! Lion, this is the Steven bed, not the Lion bed!" He tries to pull Lion off but to no avail. "Come on! Whoa!" He falls onto the floor when Lion walks off his bed with the blanket on top of his large body. "Hey!" He grips onto the blanket. "That's mine too!" Pulling it off, it reveals Lion's mouth which was holding a teddy bear.

"And Sir Bearington." Instead of pulling it, Lion willingly drops the teddy bear back on the bed. Satisfied, Steven jumps into his bed, giving out a tired yawn before laying his head on the pillows. Before falling asleep, he looks at the pink animal and smiles. "'Night lion!" He then looks over at the three by the window on the white couch. "'Night Guys!"

They answer back with their eyes closed. "'Night Steven!" Getting cozy, falling asleep, Steven notices Lion rolling on the makeshift bed until he was on his back, soon going to sleep, earning a chuckle from the young Gem.

"Love you...In the morning." With that, the boy fell asleep with a snore.

After some time, Steven began to wake up, his vision beginning to go from dark to pink. Looking around he realized he was surrounded by what looked to be pink grass with some color matching plants. 'Whoa...What is this place?' He thought to himself before trying to talk or at least call out for the Gems. However, that became a problem when he realized there was a lack of oxygen, and he couldn't move. 'No Air? Why can't I move?!'

Seconds Earlier

The Warp Pad suddenly glowed a bright color, waking up the three. "Huh..." Letting out a groan, Anaya along with the Pearls look to see Lapis who's nude, and Pearl who's bottomless, appears from the said Warp, both looking very worried. "Is there something wrong?"

"Where's Steven?" Lapis asked before they began to hear muffles and pounding from the said Gems' bedroom. "Steven?!" She and Pearl ran up the stairs with Anaya, Blue, and Violet following from behind.

Reaching the top they looked at Steven's bed, only to find Lion laying on top of the said boy, whose feet were sticking out underneath him with his heels hitting the mattress beneath. "Steven!" They shouted in unison of shock.

"Oh my gosh!" Pearl shouted before grabbing Steven's left leg along with Anaya while Blue and Violet grab his right and Lapis grabs both with her water powers. "Hang on! We got you!"

To their surprise, Lion was incredibly heavy, making it difficult to pull the boy out from underneath him. "Get up Lion!" Lapis demanded. "Steven can't breathe!" As commanded, Lion lifts his body slightly making the five launch backwards with Steven, who took in a large breath of air with a gasp.

"What happened?"

Pearl then holds his face, checking for any bruising. "Steven," Lapis began. "Are you all right?"

"I'm fine."

The leader lets go of Steven and asks. "Why was Lion sleeping on top of you?"

"I don't know." Steven shrugs, looking at Lion. "He's being a little clingy today. But that's cause I'm his favorite! Oh!" Lion in response nuzzles against Steven and pulls his face into his mane. "See? ...Wait." He looks at Lapis and Pearl. "Why are you two here? I thought you were on a mission with the others?"

"Us?" Pearl points to herself while looking at Lapis. "Well, Gar-I mean, we had a feeling you were in trouble and decided to come back home early." The leader explains. "So Onyx and the others decided to take over for the rest of the mission. But don't worry, they'll be back very soon."

"Oh...Okie-Dokie!" Steven smiles before asking. "Lapis?" He moves over, patting the open side of his bed. "Can you sleep with me, please?"

"Of course Steven." Lapis chuckled before laying next to him as he brings the covers back on them. He then yawns and looks at the Pearl's, Anaya, and Lion. "I need my rest. You guys can go back to sleep...Or anything quiet. Just let us sleep." They listened, but Blue, Violet, and Anaya were very concerned as they went back to the sofa. What was Lion doing laying on top of Steven, and why?

When they were gone, Steven cuddled close to Lapis who cuddled with him as well. He was about to close his eyes before Lapis spoke, tapping his shoulder. "Uh...Steven." He looks up and sees Lion sitting near the bed, watching over him.

"Lion, that means you too. Watching me isn't going to let me sleep." He closes his eyes for a moment, he then opens them again when Lapis tapped his shoulder again, only to see Pearl joining Lion now.

Pearl chuckled nervously while looking away. It didn't take long for Steven to chase Lion and Pearl away with a pillow. After they left, he let out a sigh and flops back on his bed, with two blue arms wrapping around his body. "Goodnight Steven." Lapis nuzzled her head underneath Steven's chin, letting her nude body press up against Steven's pajamas, earning a smile from the boy.

"Goodnight Lapis." He wraps his arms around Lapis and falls asleep.

Minutes Later

Inside the dream, Steven finds himself playing a game of Checkers with Dogcopter on a tiny island. After moving his piece, Dogcopter places a chess piece on one of his checker pieces. "I win." Spoke Dogcopter without moving his mouth.

"Oh, what?" Steven asked surprised. "That was a good move!"

Dogcopter nods. "Thanks."

"Dogcopter." Steven began. "How do you do it?"

"How do I do what?"

"I mean, what's your secret? How'd you get so talented?"

With that Dogcopter began to answer him. "Don't concentrate on talent so much, Steven. Making art is all about communication. A piece of art is a discussion. Every selection you create is a statement." Then the Dog-Helicopter hybrid eats a chess piece like a treat. "Don't worry about labels or corresponding to a standard. Just be true to yourself, and people will appreciate your loyalty."

"Woah." Steven was amazed by Dogcopter's words. "Thanks for the advice."

Suddenly, Dogcopter warns Steven before the propellers on his back began spinning. "And take a deep breath." He then takes off out of view.

"Ok...Wait, what?"

It only took a few seconds until Steven found himself falling into a void, following what Dogcopter asked him to do, and held his breath. Soon the Gem finds himself surrounded in pink again. This time he gets up with his upper-half and finds himself in the middle of a plain of pink grass & plants once again. 'Here again?' He thought to himself. 'I don't know what this place is but it feels...Familiar.' He tries to get up but found everything below his waist is stuck. 'Why can't I move?'

"Get off him!"

Steven raised a brow to the familiar voice, feeling a tug from his legs before realizing what's going on. 'Wait a minute...Lion!'

"Get off of him Lion!"

Back out from Lion's mane, Lapis can be seen trying to pull Steven out from under the animal with Anaya and the two Pearl's helping her. It didn't take long until Steven slipped himself out from under Lion back to the four, who looked worried. "Are you alright Steven?" Violet asked the boy.

"Yes!" Steven pants before looking at Lion with a growl. "Lion, my face is not your bed!" With the help of Lapis, he got back up on his feet. "What's going on with you?"

After questioning the animal, Lion rolls over on his back, exposing his belly to them, making the small group raised a brow. "What's he doing now?" Blue asked in her quiet tone.

"Do you just wanted a belly rub?" Steven questioned Lion who gave a soft grunt in response.

Letting out a gasp, Steven leans forward and starts stroking Lion's belly. "You never let me pet you!" Suddenly Lion pulls Steven into a hug. "Oh!"

"Lion!" The four shouted at the pink animal.

"You better not-hey!" Before Lapis could finish Lion immediately pulled them into a hug too, shoving their faces into his mane.

Steven moves and speaks. "It's a trap!" He tries to wiggle free with the four. "An adorable trap! Okay, you got us!" He then looks at Lion. "Will you let us go? Come on now!"

"Yeah!" Anaya agrees. "We may be a Gem, but we can still feel pain!" When they almost got themselves free, Lion's hug tightens around them, with his claws sinking into their back, shoulders, or sides.

"Ow!"

"That hurts!"

"Ah! That's it!" After getting themselves freed they lead Lion to the front door with Steven stepping outside the house. "Let's go Lion, you're on a time out!" Lion doesn't listen however, he just stood in the doorway, looking at him. "I said, you're on time out!" Steven walks behind Lion and pushes him outside with the help of the four. "You're gonna stay out here and think about what you did to us!"

With that, he closes the door with Lapis locking it, keeping Lion outside on the porch. "I don't get it, why is Lion acting so...Strange?" Asked Anaya before she adds in as she, Blue, Violet head back to the couch. "And I don't mean as strange as he is now."

"Maybe he just wants more attention from Steven?" Blue Pearl spoke her thoughts, rubbing her chin.

Suddenly they heard a sad howl from outside. "Huh?" Steven looks along with the others, seeing Lion at the door with pitiful puppy eyes. With their attention towards Lion, Steven became mesmerized by his eyes, watching as Lion blinks at him, earning a gasp from the boy. "He loves me!" Without warning, Steven runs and opens the door.

"Steven wait!" Lapis called out, only for Steven not to hear her.

Once outside, Steven goes to Lion and hugs him. "Aww, I just can't stay mad at you! You're a wonderful pink human being. Except you're not. 'Cause, you're a lion." After he sinks his face into Lion's mane, his face sinks into Lion's mane. He opens his eyes and gasps before looking around, finding himself in that pink plain again. It doesn't take long until he pulls out of the mane.

"Steven!" Lapis, Anaya, Violet, Blue were about to pull Steven out until he pops his head out, surprising them. "You're okay?"

The young Gem nods with a poker face. He looks at the mane and places his palm on it, causing a pink glow to surround his palm and fingers. "I'm going back in."

"What?" Lapis raised a brow before Steven held his breath and dunks his head back into Lion's mane again.

Seeing the pink plain again, Steven shouted in thought. 'I'm inside Lion's mane?!' He takes his head out and tells the four. "Guys you gotta try this!"

They were a bit questionable, but listened to Steven and did the same thing with Anaya holding her breath like him. Looking in the mane, they were both surprised and shocked to see this giant pink plain. After doing this, they took their heads out of the mane. "So that's why he's been acting weird." Said Anaya out of her thoughts as Steven poked his head in the mane again.

"He just wanted to show Steven what was in his mane...But why?"

After Violet asked, Steven took his head out again and began laughing, until Lion growled and glared at him, grabbing the other Gems' attention. Steven shrugged. "Sorry, I couldn't resist."

Steven was about to take in a deep breath, only to stop when Lapis placed a hand on his shoulder. "We're coming with you." He looks back to see Anaya, Blue, Violet, one of which was waving to him with a smile.

"Hmm..." Steven looks at Lion. "Are you okay with that Lion?" The said animal gives a nod. "He doesn't mind." With that, he and Anaya took a deep breath and entered Lion's mane with Lapis and the Pearls behind them. Once inside, they planted their feet onto the pink ground beneath the pink grass, or fur considering it is Lions' mane they're in.

"What was it he wanted to show you here?" Violet asked curiously, getting a shrug from Steven before he noticed a pinkish-white tree on a hill in the distance. "Mm..." He points at the hill, which the others looked at.

Lapis gestured her hand towards the hill. "Let's go." They began walking towards the hill, but before reaching it, Steven quickly ran out of breath. He looks at Anaya who returned a glance, revealing to be running out too. Steven taps Lapis' hip, causing her to stop and face them, noticing their struggling expression on their faces, worrying her, Violet Pearl & Blue Pearl. "Stick your heads out of his mane!"

They didn't need to be told twice and did so. Outside the mane, Lion looked down at it and sees the two Gems stick their heads out, taking a deep breath. "Hi Lion!" Steven greets, earning a friendly growl from the pink animal. Right after, the two went back in, meeting up with the three Gems.

Steven & Anaya nod to them and reach the hill, walking up the hill until they were at the top with the tree. They look at the various things around it, seeing a Battle Flag that belonged to the Crystal Gems during the war many years ago, Rose's sword, an XXL Shirt given to Rose by Greg when he was in his early youth, a chest, a picture of both Rose and Greg, and a VHS tape.

"Is this what he wanted you to see?" Lapis picks up the tape and hands Steven it. He examines the VHS tape until he sees cursive writing that reads, "For Steven" on the label.

'For me?' Steven thought to himself with the others looking at the label. 'Who would put this here? And how does this huge place fit inside of Lion's mane any-' He couldn't finish his thought as he started to run out of air again, he didn't even have to look at Anaya to know she's having the same problem as well.

"We have to get out now!" Blue shouted in a whisper-like tone. Steven and Anaya immediately went face-first into the ground, winching with their hands on their nose, realizing they can't exit Lion's mane on the hill, causing them to panic.

"We don't have time!" Lapis quickly grabbed Steven & Anaya before throwing them towards the pink grass. Luckily, they made it out, nosediving through the pink field and successfully out of Lion's mane, allowing them to gasp for air. It didn't take long for the three to join them outside the mane, earning a sigh from Lapis. "That was close."

Before the others could agree, they heard the sound of a door opening and saw from inside the house, Pearl exiting her room along with Onyx and Yellow Pearl. They must've come back home after the mission while they were outside going inside Lions' mane. "...And he keeps sleeping on Steven's face!" They heard Pearl explain to the two about the whole Lion situation they've just done. "Seriously what made him think that's..."

While she was talking to them, the five decided to slip away without making a sound and bring along the VHS tape to the only place they can go and watch it at the moment, and it didn't take long to get to the location. When got to the Big Donut, Lars and Sadie were seen opening it up for the day. Seeing them, Steven called out. "Sadie! Sadie!"

"Steven?" Sadie raised a brow. "You know donuts aren't ready for another hour." Steven shook his head and whispers into her ear before presenting the VHS tape they got, leaving Lars confused, and Sadie surprised. "Really? Come on!" She leads Steven to the back with Lapis, Anaya, Blue, and Violet behind them.

There, in the employee room, Steven puts the VHS tape beneath the TV. Sitting down they began to watch the tape as it starts to play. Crackles of static and flashes between different shots blurred on the screen until it became clear, revealing shore along with the ocean waves, nearby at the side they can see the Temple. Not long after, a younger Greg dances across the screen on the sand, grinning widely.

Chuckles were then heard behind the camera, not belonging to any of the Crystal Gems that Steven and the others know. "What are you doing?" The feminine voice asked as Greg goes off-screen.

"That voice." Muttered Sadie, recognizing who that maybe recording the video. Soon the screen flashes, this time showing Greg napping and snoring on the beach on a beach towel with shade coming from the umbrella above his head, with a seagull laying on his stomach. Causing the woman behind the camera to chuckle.

"Greg made a little friend."

The seagull soon squawks, waking Greg from his nap as he jolts out of his sleep. "What?! Ah!" Alarming the seagull it flies off, leaving the Guitarist to pant from sudden surprise. The screen then again flashes, this time showing only Greg on-screen with a laugh from the female holding the camera.

"Go on..."

Greg scratches the back of his head. "Sorry, I'm getting stage fright here."

"Tell us about yourself."

Greg thinks for a moment. "Well, let's see here..." He then spoke to the camera. "My name is Greg. Agh, no, no, no! This is all wrong!" The screen flashes, this time showing a blue crab on the sandy beach. "Okay, go!" On cue the camera pans towards Greg, posing on the beach with his guitar.

"They call me..." He strums the strings, blaring music from the instrument. "Mr. Universe! Get ready baby, you're gonna have the coolest dad on this side of the cosmos!" He then asks. "Press the button, Rose!" This stuns the group in the room watching the recording.

"Rose?!" "Rose Quartz?!" "My Mom?!"

They continue to watch as the woman holding the camera now revealed to be Rose Quartz responds. "Oh, right!" With a click, a colorful stream with stars washes across the screen. "Was that the right one?"

"Uh... Maybe?"

Rose notices another button. "Oh, what does this one do?" She clicks the button, causing a star iris to zooms in on Greg before flashing. It now shows Greg playing his guitar on the beach. "Isn't it remarkable, Steven?" Rose began, now narrating to the camera for her son. "This world is full of so many possibilities. Each living being has an entirely unique experience. The sights they view, the sounds they hear. The lives they live are so complex...Yet so simple."

Happiness began to spread across Steven's face while amazement spreads across the others. "I can't wait for you to join them." Rose then turns the camera to face her, revealing herself. "Steven, we both can't exist. I'm going to become half of you. And I need you to know that every bit you love being yourself, that's me, loving you and loving being you. Because you're going to be something extraordinary. Something that'll defy all the odds to both humans and Gems."

"Rose!"

The said Quartz looks off-screen at her husband and looks back at the camera. "Take care of them, Steven." The screen flashes another time, showing Rose place the camera down before approaching Greg, revealing to be pregnant with Steven at the time. Greg carcasses her belly before the two looked at each other and leaned in for a kiss, only for the tape to end there.

"Hey, Sadie, come on, we got to open up!" Lars entered the Employees lounge moments after the videotape ended. Sadie along with Steven and the Gems present turned to look at the Donut teen with tears coming down their eyes. After backing away in awkwardness, Steven soon takes the tape with him and steps out of the room, he then high-fives Lars' chest and leaves with Lapis, Anaya, Violet, & Blue.

Sadie then steps out of the room too, wiping away her tears, leaving Lars both confused and concern. "What in the world did you guys watch?" He questioned Sadie, receiving no answer.

Outside, Steven noticed Lion and gives him a hug before looking back at the four Gems. "At least we know now why Lion's been acting weird around me." They agreed with him. Steven then notices Lapis grab a hold of his hand and smile. "Let's go home." He blushes a bit and nods as they head back to the Beach House with Lion following behind. Back at the Big Donut, Sadie was picking up the phone on the counter and dials a number. It rang until someone answered.

"Hey, mom?" Sadie began, giving a blush. "You know how I said you didn't have to make me those lunches anymore?"

And Hour Later

When they've finished explaining to the other Gems what's been going on and all, the five decided to go back to bed since they've barely gotten any sleep last night due to that whole situation with Lion. Anaya and the two Pearl's went back to bed on the couch, too tired to Warp back home, Lion was sleeping on the couch cushions set up for him by his owner, while Steven and Lapis laid back on their bed.

Steven laid face-first on his pillow, giving a sigh of comfort. It wasn't long until he felt the back of his pajama shirt lifted up. "Huh?" He muttered before he felt something lay against his back with two hardpoints poking his back. Steven, fully awake, looks back to Lapis with a blue blush, biting her bottom lip with her chest against his back. "Lapis? What are you doing?"

"Waking you." She answered, rubbing her chest on his back, bucking her hips while rubbing her pussy against him, causing Steven to blush. "I-I'm burning up with lust." She moaned seductively, her blush turning a darker hue of blue. "Help me cool down, Steven."

Steven turned to face Lapis and placed his hand on her cheek. She looks at him and sees a warm smile spread across his face. "Anything for my elegant water Gem." The two draw close into a passionate kiss. Their tongues swirling around in one another's mouth, with moans escaping their lips. After the kiss, the two looked into each other's eyes. Soon Lapis raised herself while looking down at the young Gem.

In response, Steven caressed her chest with his hands, rubbing them with affection, feeling the smooth surface of her blue skin. "Aah-ahh..." Steven looks up at her and grins. "I have been a bit parched after last night." Steven looks back at her chest. He uses his index finger and thumb to grab Lapis' nipples, giving them a slight pinch before tugging them.

"Mm-mm!" Lapis held Steven from his sides for support as milk jets temporally from her nipples. Steven took this opportunity to suck on one while rubbing the other, much to Lapis' enjoyment. He gave the other the same treatment in vice versa, causing the blue Gem to hold the back of his head close to her, moaning.

When he finished, he unlatched himself, panting for air. "That was sweet." He complimented. After getting enough air, Steven felt two hands grabbing the sides of his pajama pants, looking down he sees Lapis, pulling his pants down and off, giggling as she did so.
