Leo sat down next to me. "Well, I know how you are feeling right now. With everyone fighting about you. Most people don't want you here, but let me tell you something. You do belong here. It's safe for you here. When I came to camp, I thought that no one wanted me here and I wanted to leave, but I realized that some people here do care. You might not realize, but we have a lot in common. Our entire family was killed and then we ran from mostly everything. Then we found friends who cared and came to camp. We then doubted ourselves and wanted to leave. But let me tell you something else: you don't want to leave this place, you might not think this is true, but believe me, you don't want to."
I looked down at my hands. "I don't want to leave, but everyone wantsme gone. I-I just don't know what to do anymore. And I know I say that a lot but now, I don't know, I really don't."
"I don't know what you should do about your situation, but I have something you can help me with," Leo said.
"Sounds fun." Leo stood up and I followed after him.
He led me to the forges. We walked inside and he led me to a huge machine. "Something happened the other day," Leo said pointing up, "One of the gears came loose and it's so high up and so big that none of us can fix it. So what ya say? Will ya help me?"
"Sure, I'll lift it up and you tell me where to put it," I said. I lifted my hand and the giant gear began to glow yellow.
"Okay, over to the right a little," Leo guided, "now down, okay, okay, left, left. Uh, now gently set it down." I set it don't and it locked into place. "Yes!" Leo yelled, pumping his fists, "high-five!" He put his hand up and I slapped it.
"Thanks, you just saved us like, a month of hard work," Leo said walking out of the forges with me walking behind him.
"Well," I said, "I should or get back to the Big House before Chiron gets done with his phone call."
"Okie dokie. You're the best!" Leo yelled as he ran across the yard. I smiled to myself as I headed towards the Big House.
I walked inside the giant house and see Chiron sitting in his wheelchair beside the fireplace. He turned as I walked in. "So I got off the phone with Sally. I told her everything that you have been going through here at camp and she has agreed to let you stay at her apartment until things cool down."
"Wait what? I-I can't just leave here again. What about the Stoll's, o-or Coral?" I said frantically."
"Well, I told her about that too. She agreed to let you bring your sister and four others. It's not saved for you all by yourself with the god situation so your going to need so, guardians per se."
I got excited, "I already know who I'm coming to bring, when do I leave?"
"In a few hours." Before Chiron had time to say anything else I bolted out the door and to the pavilion where everyone still should be.
I got to the pavilion just to be stared at with hate, but I didn't care, I had to find the four I wanted to bring. I walked over to the Hermes table where the Stoll's were in an argument with one of their siblings.
"Will you shut up! She's not a freak!" I heard Connor yell. I frowned. The Hermes kid the brothers had been yelling at made a face in my direction, which made the Stoll's turn around.
Travis looked at me, "H-how much of that did you here?"
"Not much," I said, putting a smile back on my face, "Anyways, it doesn't matter, I need to talk to you guys."
We walked away from where everyone was and Connor asked, "You're not leaving us again are you?"
"No, well kinda." Travis gave me a look, one that didn't seem so friendly.
"Before you get all mad ad stuff, let me explain. So Chiron got off the phone with Sally, Percy's mom. She said that I can go stay with her until things cool down. Well because of the whole thing with the Immortals, Sally has let me bring four people along with Coral. To protect me and stuff, and I was wondering if you would like to come."
Connor and Travis bent down and gave me a hug. They hugged me so hard I couldn't breathe. "We would love to!" They cheered, backing away.
"Awesome!" I said.
"So you said that you're bringing four people," Connor said.
"Who are the other two?" Travis finished.
"Oh, I have two people in mind."
"No," Will said.
"What! Why not!?" Nico and I complained.
"But Will, I wanted you two to go with me," I said.
"There is no way I'm leaving this place. The campers need me. Beside you Trish, I'm the best healer here."
"Will, please," Nico begged, "It sounds fun, plus Sally makes the best pancakes." He then licked his lips.
Kayla walked over. "Oh come on Will. I could hear Nico and Trish whining from the other side of the table. Plus you could use some time off."
"Kayla, I can't leave," Will said.
I sat down and crossed my arms. "This is a bunch of banana," I pouted.
"Will," Kayla said, "you're going whether you like it or not. Now go pack your bags." She proceeded by pulling Will off the bench and dragging him out of the pavilion.
"So," Nico said picking at his food, "When do we leave?"
"Chiron said we're gonna leave in a few hours."
"Sounds like fun," He then got up and walked to his cabin, I watched, thinking about that little kid I had read about in The Titan's Curse and wondered what that version of Nico would have been like.
I took my time walking to my cabin. I looked around and watched everything that was going on, I didn't know how long I was going to stay at Sally's, but for however long it was, Leo was right. I was going to miss the place.
