So many times I had imagined this moment.
So many times I had imagined what my biological parents would look like, be like or what I would say when I met them.
When I was little I'd been dreaming of a knight in shining armor and a princess that had to give me away to keep me safe from their lives.
Other times I dreamed of a couple so poor they could barely even put food on the table. That they gave me up, I was their only child because they knew they had to.
It had always been, all until now I was a teenager something special.
I had known by now they wouldn't be. Still I had always kept on dreaming.
Even after everything I hadn't dreamed of someone in a wheelchair, someone all normal. Someone that I already knew had a big family and had been able to care for all their children.
All their children except for me.
None of us in the room we were sat a word, they stared at me and I stared back at them.
And the thought struck me that the last time I had seen them was when they left me.
I barely knew what I was doing. But I was turning around and going towards the door while I half whispered, half mumbled three words only.
"You left me!"
