Cedric blinked, suddenly, when he felt Hermione pulled out of his arms.

Harry and Ron were grinning, ear to ear, and Steve hip-checked him, the arse, sending him nearly to the floor in his haste to get to her as well.

"OI!"

"YOU CAN SNOG MORE LATER!" was Steve's response, as he brought the younger group into his arms, grinning ear to ear.

It registered a moment later, what Steve had said. He had just had his first kiss with Hermione. In front of the whole school. Cedric flushed, as he laughed sheepishly, as Hermione's face went a soft pink. Merlin, she has a pretty blush.

"STEVE!" she scolded.

"Fewer words, more HUGS!" Said Steve, snatching her out of Harry's and Ron's arms.

Hermione laughed.

And Cedric thought it was the most beautiful sound in the world.
