Elimination Chamber: 21/2/2010
WWE Elimination Chamber was live at the Scottrade Center in St. Louis, first match that aired on the pay-per-view was the RAW Elimination Chamber match for the WWE Championship, which involved Randy Orton, Triple H, Ted DiBiase, Kofi Kingston, John Cena, and defending champion Sheamus. Sheamus and Kingston started the match. Triple H was the first wrestler released, followed by Orton, DiBiase, and Cena. Cody Rhodes, an ally of both DiBiase and Orton appeared and threw a steel pipe into the cage. DiBiase struck Orton with the pipe and Cena performed an Attitude Adjustment on Orton. Dibiase struck Cena with the pipe, and then covered Orton to eliminate him. Kingston performed his finishing move, "Trouble in Paradise" (a 540 kick) to eliminate DiBiase. Immediately afterward, Sheamus eliminated Kingston after a High Cross before being eliminated himself by Triple H after a Pedigree. Cena forced Triple H to submit to his submission hold, the STF[7][30] to win the title, his eight world championship overall.
Immediately after the conclusion of the match, WWE Chairman Vince McMahon interrupted to cut a promo. He told Cena that he would be going to WrestleMania XXVI, only if he could beat Batista, and then ordered Cena to face Batista in a previously unannounced match for the WWE Championship. Batista speared Cena, and then performed a "Batista Bomb" (a sitout powerbomb) on him to earn a pinfall victory, making Batista the new WWE Champion.
The third match featured Drew McIntyre defending the WWE Intercontinental Championship against Kane. The match began with Kane taking the advantage over McIntyre by clotheslining him over the top rope to the floor. Towards the end of the match, McIntyre attempted to leave the arena and lose via countout, which would have allowed him to retain the championship, but Kane brought him back inside the ring. When re-entering the ring, McIntyre poked him in the eye and then performed his "Future Shock DDT" (a double underhook DDT) to win the match by pinfall and remain the Intercontinental Champion.
The next match was scheduled to be the final of a tournament to determine a new Divas Champion after the title was vacated. Maryse and Gail Kim had entered the ring when official consultant to the SmackDown General Manager, Vickie Guerrero interrupted. Guerrero stated that as a result of the RAW Divas making disparaging remarks about the SmackDown Divas, she was changing the match to an interbrand Divas tag team match, with RAW Divas Kim and Maryse facing LayCool (Michelle McCool and Layla) from SmackDown. The story of the match was that Maryse and Kim could not work together, and Maryse attacked Kim, allowing McCool to hit her finishing move for the victory. Following the match, Maryse performed her "French Kiss DDT" on Kim.
Following the match, The Miz was interviewed backstage by Josh Mathews about NXT, on which he was a mentor. He was interrupted by Montel Vontavious Porter, who informed The Miz that the two had a match next. This was followed by William Regal cutting an in-ring promo about NXT. He was interrupted by the winner of the 2010 Royal Rumble match, Edge, who stated that he would be deciding which championship to challenge for at WrestleMania on the next episode of RAW. Edge then speared Regal.
The fifth match was a previously unannounced contest which saw The Miz defend his WWE United States Championship against Montel Vontavious Porter. The Miz was accompanied by his tag team partner, The Big Show, while Porter was accompanied by Mark Henry, with whom he had regularly teamed. Porter took the advantage at the beginning of the match, before The Miz was able to fight back with a swinging DDT. When he climbed to the top rope, however, Porter knocked him off to regain the advantage. The Big Show pulled The Miz out of the ring to safety, and then threw Henry into the security barricade at ringside. With the referee distracted by this, The Big Show used his "Knockout Punch" on Porter, and The Miz was able to pin him to retain his championship.
Next up was the Elimination Chamber match for the World Heavyweight Championship.
In the arena, Rey Mysterio's theme hits first and out comes the Master of the 619! He looks the Chamber over before entering and gets into one of the pods, pumped up to try and survive this match, win the title, and walk into WrestleMania 26 with it.
Next out was John Morrison, who headed down the ramp, looking to win his first World Heavyweight Championship title. Morrison enters the Chamber and enters one of the pods.
The next theme to hit was Chris Jericho's who comes out to boos and a cocky look on his face. He enters the Chamber and brags to Morrisona dn Mysterio that he was going to win the match tonight and become World Heavyweight Champion.
The next person out was the former World Heavyweight Champion, the Undertaker, who suffered a bit of pyro problem during his entrance but quickly stayed in character and stormed to the ring, throwing his coat and hat off. Undertaker got into his pod, where he was given water off screen to deal with the burns that had come over his body.
Next theme to hit was CM Punk's and out comes Punk who enters the Chamber and brags to everyone about how he will win and become the Straight-Edge World Heavyweight Champion again.
OOOOOOWHOOOOOO!
The Devil's Wolf plays to a loud pop as the lights change to the sinister, blood red and out comes the Bladewolf with the World Heavyweight Championship around his waist, and Trish Stratus at his side. They walk down the ramp and pause at the steps leading into the Chamber. Bladewolf takes his coat off and hands it to Trish, then hands his title to a referee before he enters the Chamber and stares Punk down.
The Chamber door is shut and locked behind him while Trish steps back to watch from somewhere. The bell is then called.
'Ding! Ding! Ding!'
Right off the bat, Bladewolf picks Punk up and drives him into the corner, driving his shoulder into Punk's stomach multiple times. Punk tries fighting back as he brings his forearms down on the back of the Demon Wolf, who just keeps up his attack before he stand sup then uppercuts Punk in the jaw. Bladewolf drives his boot into Punk's stomach, then lands a heavy right shot to the side of the head. Bladewolf grabs Punk and supexes him before going for the cover but Punk kicks out at two.
Bladewolf flips his hair back and picks Punk up before tossing him over the ropes and onto the steel grating. Bladewolf followed and grabs Punk before whirling around and tosses him into Chris Jericho's pod, making Jericho flinch back in surprise as his pod doesn't break. Bladewolf glares at Jericho for a moment before he grabs Punk and rams him head-first into the Chamber wall and he drags Punk's face across the steel, causing Punk to yell in pain before Bladewolf stopped then tossed Punk back into the ring.
Bladewolf steps over the top rope and stalks Punk who is trying to back off. Bladewolf walks ahead but Punk land a kick to the stomach, then gets to his feet and starts unloading with lefts and rights, then a spinning kick to the stomach. Punk kicks Bladewolf in the side of the head, sending him to a knee, then rebounds off the ropes and comes running back...STRAIGHT INTO A GOOZLE! Bladewolf lifts Punk up...AND PLANTS HIM WITH A CHOKESLAM!
Bladewolf flips his hair back before he grabs Punk, lifts him onto his shoulder before he runs...AND HITS A RUNNING POWERSLAM! BLADEWOLF HOOKS THE LEG! ONE! TWO! THRE-! PUNK KICKS OUT AT TWO!
Bladewolf gets to his feet, flipping his hair back before doing the throat slit taunt. He grabs Punk, lifts him onto his shoulder and stands in the middle of the ring...AND HITS THE TOMBSTONE PILEDRIVER! HE HOOKS THE LEGS! ONE! TWO! THREE! CM PUNK IS ELIMINATED!
The countdown starts beginning as Punk is escorted out the fans counted down, "TEN!… NINE!… EIGHT!… SEVEN!… SIX!… FIVE!… FOUR!… THREE!… TWO!… ONE!…" The buzzer sounded and the camera cut to an aerial view. The lights flashed around the ring and lit up the different chambers, the buzzer sounded again...AND THE LIGHTS STOPPED ON REY MYSTERIO'S POD!
Bladewolf eyes Mysterio as the Master of the 619 comes in...AND JUMPS OFF THE TURNBUCKLE WITH A SEATED SENTON! Bladewolf quickly got to his feet but Mysterio used his quickness and speed to avoid him, and dropkicks him onto the ropes. Bladewolf comes off and goes for a boot but Mysterio ducked it, springboards off the middle rope...BUT IS CAUGHT BY THE BLADEWOLF! Bladewolf walks around with Mysterio who fights back and drives his elbow into the masked face of the Bladewolf, who releases Mysterio...WHOD ROPKICKS HIM INTO THE ROPES!
Mysterio rebounds off the ropes, runs...AND HITS THE 619! Bladewolf stumbled back as Mysterio springboards...BUT BLADEWOLF CAUGHT HIM BY THE THROAT! Bladewolf lifts Mysterio Up...AND HITS A CHOKESLAM!
Bladewolf flips his hair back before he grabs Mysterio and lifts him up into a Fireman's carry...AND HITS THE FURY OF THE WO-! MYSTERIO LANDS ON HIS FEET! Mysterio grabs Bladewolf in a headlock...AND HITS A DDT! HE HOOKS THE LEGS! ONE! TWO! THRE-! BLADEWOLF KICKS OUT!
Mysterio backs off as Bladewolf stumbles to his feet. Mysterio with a few takedowns and big kick to the head on the Champion. Mysterio drops Bladewolf on the ropes, hits the ropes looking to hit a second 619...BUT BLADEWOLF CAUGHT HIM WITH A HUGE BELLY-TO-BELLY SUPLEX!
Bladewolf grabs Mysterio, lifts him onto his shoulder, looking for the Tombstone Piledriver but Mysterio counters it...INTO A HURRICANRANA! HE HOOKS THE LEGS! ONE! TWO! THRE-! BLADEWOLF KICKS OUT!
Mysterio gets to his feet and starts heading to the top rope...WHEN BLADEWOLF SAT UP! Bladewolf got to his feet, ran and jumped onto the turnbuckle with Mysterio, grabs him...AND HITS A HUGE BELLY-TO-BELLY OFF THE TOP TURNBUCKLE! The countdown began again. TEN!… NINE!… EIGHT!… SEVEN!… SIX!… FIVE!...FOUR!...THREE!...TWO!...ONE!...THE BUZZER SOUNDED! The lights flickered between the remaining three pods before the buzzer went off again and the lights landed...ON CHRIS JERICHO'S POD!
Bladewolf stares at Jericho as the cocky Heel comes into the ring and faces off with Bladewolf, who tosses Mysterio into the corner like he was nothing. The two go head to head and stare each other down before Jericho strikes first with a right hand, but Bladewolf knees Jericho in the stomach then clotheslines him. Bladewolf slugs it out with Jericho and gets him into the corner before he runs at Mysterio and hits a turnbuckle clothesline, runs back and does the same thing to Jericho. then he gives Jericho a big boot before he scoops Mysterio up...AND HITS SNAKE EYES! Bladewolf rebounds off the ropes...AND FOLLOWS IT UP WITH A BIG BOOT! Bladewolf rebounds off the ropes again and hits a leg drop across Mysterio's' throat! HE HOOKS THE LEGS! ONE! TWO! THRE-! MYSTERIO KICKS OUT!
Bladewolf walks over to Jericho and grabs him, pushes him into the corner and unloads with a fury of lefts and rights before finishing it with a heavy right shot to the jaw of Jericho. Bladewolf stomps on Jericho in the corner before he picks Jericho up into a Gorilla Press...AND LAUNCHES JERICHO INTO THE CHAMBER WALL! Bladewolf follows after Jericho and grabs him, lifts him up...AND HITS A POWERSLAM ON THE STEEL FLOOR OF THE CHAMBER!
Bladewolf turns his attention back to Mysterio and walks over, grabs him then drives him into the corner and drives his shoulder into Mysterio's stomach multiple times. Bladewolf knees Mysterio relentlessly in the stomach before he pulls Mysterio close and hits a belly-to-belly suplex. Bladewolf flips his hair back as he gets to a knee and looks around before he got to his feet. Bladewolf walks over to Mysterio and grabs his hair before landing a heavy shot to the head. Bladewolf wraps Mysterio's right arm around the top rope and pulls on it, then lands a hard right to the shoulder joint, causing Mysterio to clutch his shoulder in pain.
Jericho attacks Bladewolf from behind, and unloads with rights on him. Jericho delivers an elbow in the face of Bladewolf whos tumbles back off the ropes...AND SPEARS JERICHO! Bladewolf got to his feet and he grabs Jericho, pulls him to his feet when Mysterio attacks from behind. Bladewolf shoves Jericho back then grabs Mysterio and tosses him into Jericho.
Bladewolf raises his right hand to signal a Chokeslam is looming. he eyes Jericho and Mysterio, waiting to see which one gets to their feet first. Mysterio used the ropes to pull himself to his feet and he turns around...INTO A GOOZLE! Bladewolf stares Mysterio down before he sees Jericho coming...AND GRABS HIM IN A GOOZLE! Bladewolf looks in between the two men before he lifts them up high...AND PLANTS THEM WITH A DOUBLE CHOKESLAM! BLADEWOLF HOOKS JERICHO'S LEG! ONE! TWO! THRE-! JERICHO KICKS OUT AT TWO!
The timer counts down once more! TEN!...NINE!… EIGHT!… SEVEN!… SIX!… FIVE!...FOUR!...THREE!...TWO!...ONE!...THE BUZZER SOUNDED! The lights flickered between the remaining three pods before the buzzer went off again and the lights landed...ON JOHN MORRISON!
Morrison comes in ducks a right from Bladewolf...AND COMES OFF WITH A SPRINGBOARD KICK TO THE HEAD! Bladewolf goes down to his knees, Morrison reboounds off the ropes, grabs Bladewolf as he runs...AND HITS A SPINNING TORNADO DDT! Morrison heads to the top rope...AND JUMPS OFF WITH STARSHIP PAIN! HE HOOKS THE LEGS! ONE! TWO! THRE-! BLADEWOLF KICKS OUT AT TWO!
Bladewolf rolls out onto the steel grating, so Morrison decides to target the other two men in the ring. Morrison drops Jericho with a dropkick and does the same to Mysterio. Morrison sends Jericho to the steel floor. Morrison catches Mysterio with a huge kick to the head when he was trying to springboard up. Jericho drops Morrison with an elbow to the head. Jericho sends Morrison back first into a pod and Morrison grabs his head in pain. Jericho then tosses Mysterio onto the steel floor. Morrison then jumps over part of the ring and takes out Jericho and Mysterio. Morrison tosses Mysterio back in the ring and hits a standing moonsault. Mysterio...WITH A HURRICANRANA ON MORRISON!
Mysterio goes for a 619, but Jericho cuts him off with a huge backbreaker. Morrison with a springboard kick to the head and Mysterio follows with a Hurricanrana on Morrison. Mysterio attempts a Hurricanrana off the top on Morrison, but Morrison hangs on and Mysterio crashes on the mat. Morrison...HITS MYSTERIO WITH STARSHIP PAIN! HE HOOKS THE LEGS! ONE! TWO! THREE! REY MYSTERIO HAS BEEN ELIMINATED!
The timer then begins for the final time. TEN!...NINE!… EIGHT!… SEVEN!… SIX!… FIVE!...FOUR!...THREE!...TWO!...ONE!...THE BUZZER SOUNDED AND UNDERTAKER'S POD OPENS!
Here comes the Deadman. Undertaker drops Jericho with right hands. Undertaker with a charge, snake eyes and big boot combo on Jericho. Undertaker tosses Morrison over the top rope to the steel floor and then drops a leg on Jericho. Undertaker gets Jericho and Morrison ready for a double chokeslam.
They break it up and give Taker a double suplex. Jericho and Morrison give Taker a double clothesline to the steel floor. Morrison rolls up Jericho and gets a close two count. Jericho dumps Morrison onto the steel floor. Jericho starts going after Taker on the steel floor when Taker suddenly stands up. Jericho runs away and tries to lock himself in a pod.
Taker fights his way in and starts beating down Jericho with right hands. Taker returns to the ring and splashes Morrison in the corner. A second splash to Morrison. Taker with snake eyes on Morrison. Morrison then recovers quickly, springboards off the ropes and catches Taker with a huge kick to the head. Morrison favors his ankle. Morrison goes up top, attempts Starship Pain and Taker gets a knee up.
Jericho looks to attack on Taker, but Taker sits up and Jericho closes the pod again as the crowd laughs. Taker grabs Morrison and sends him into the pod Jericho is in. Taker gets Morrison up for a Last Ride when Jericho breaks it up. Morrison holds onto the cage fencing above Jericho and Taker. Jericho then sends Taker face first into a pod breaking it. Morrison jumps off and falls on Jericho.
Morriosn enters the ring...BUT GETS SPEARED BY BLADEWOLF! HE HOOKS THE LEGS! ONE! TWO! THREE! JOHN MORRISON IS ELIMINATED FROM THE MATCH!
Bladewolf gets to his feet, grabs Jericho and scoops him up...AND HITS THE FURY OF THE WOLF! HE HOOKS THE LEGS! ONE! TWO! THREE! CHRIS JERICHO IS ELIMINATED!
It was now down to the Bladewolf and the Undertaker! Undertaker grabs Bladewolf by the throat, lifts him up...AND PLANTS HIM WITH A CHOKESLAM! Undertaker starts doing the throat slit taunt when the crowd suddenly cheered and so Undertaker whirled around...INTO SWEET CHIN MUSIC! IT'S SHAWN MICHAELS!
Michaels glares down at Undertaker, before he places Bladewolf over the Deadman! ONE! TWO! THREE! BLADEWOLF WINS! BLADEWOLF RETAINS THE WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP!
'Ding! Ding! Ding!'
The Devil's Wolf plays as Trish come sin to help her husband to his feet while Michaels still stares down at Undertaker coldly. Bladewolf and Trish back up the ramp, and the Demon Wolf raises his title and points at the WrestleMania 26 sign. He was going to WrestleMania...
