Disclaimer:
I do not own the PJO characters. Okay so I know some of you are confused because there were 63 chapters but I didn't know that Reyna wasn't a praetor anymore so I needed to change a few chapters. If you had already read the chapters before I had deleted them, you don't need to read the chapters over again but I did make significant changes to the next chapter and it might make more sense if you do read it but I'm not saying you have to. This chapter though didn't get very many changes I only changed a few names around. Hope you understand.
I woke suddenly from my slumber from a creak on the wooden floor. I squinted trying to get my eyes used to the dark. I saw a dark figure tiptoeing away from the door. "Nico?" I said confused.
"Oh, uh, sorry I woke you," he replied.
"No no, it's fine," I said with a yawn, "What were you doing?"
He pulled something from behind his back, I hadn't even noticed his hands were behind him. He pulled out several blue, chocolate chip cookies. "Sorry, I couldn't resist," he said shyly. I couldn't help but laugh at this.
He came over to my bed and sat next to me handing me a cookie. "Thanks," I said, gladly accepting the quick snack. We sat in silence for a while enjoying Sally's famous blue cookies that Percy adored, which I can't blame him, they were one of the best cookies I have ever tasted, and the fact that they were blue just made them better.
"So," Nico said, "what are you thinking about?"
"What?" I asked, confused.
"You have a look on your face. You're thinking about something, aren't you?"
"Well, I guess I was."
"Then tell me," he said, taking another bite out of another cookie.
"Something that popped into my mind a few minutes ago. So you know how the day I came to camp was the exact day of the incident. And Jamie said that Rick wanted the oracle taken out about a year ago. And Jamie even came to camp a few days after I 'died'. Does that not sound suspicious to you?"
"I mean yeah, I guess, I never really thought about it. Or maybe February just doesn't like you."
"Ha ha, very funny," I said.
"You have a good point though," Nico added. I gobbled down another cookie, man they were good.
"I just realized something," Nico said, "You would get along great with Hazel. And Frank. Maybe that's where we can go for training. Camp Jupiter doesn't know about you yet so maybe they could accept you."
"Maybe."
"Well we should probably get some rest, if I'm going to train you and take you to camp Jupiter, I'm gonna need my rest," Nico said.
"Hey, I never agreed to go to Camp Jupiter? Also, when do you, Nico freaking di Angelo, choose to go to sleep."
Nico just shrugged his shoulders and walked over to his bed and lay down on it while finishing his last cookie. I laid back down as well, this time under the covers. I fell asleep quickly.
The next thing to wake me up was the Stoll's. They were 'trying' to sneak into Nico and I's room, but you could have heard them a mile from away with all their laughing and giggling.
I sat up and stretched. "Aww, we wanted to scare you awake," the brothers complained.
"Not with being that loud," Nico said, "You're lucky Trish is here or I would have killed you by now."
"Our sis is the best!" The Stoll's squealed like they were 7.
"Oh grow up," Nico said, grouchily getting out of his bed.
"Get along, will you? We're spending time here because Sally is letting us, she can kick us out at any time, which isn't very likely, but still."
"Fine," The three of them whined.
"Now, Travis and Connor, go back to your room and get dressed, Nico goes into the bathroom and changes, I'll change in here."
"Will's in the bathroom," Travis said.
"Then Nico, wait until I'm done and you can change in here." I then shoved the boys out of the room and closed the door behind them. I quickly got dressed and hurried out of the guest room and to the kitchen where I found Sally cooking breakfast.
"So, you're up," Sally said cheerfully as she flipped a pancake, "Even your sister was awake before you."
"Yeah, she usually is, for a two-year-old, she's awake for a really long time, she never takes naps, and she's always super hyper. I have no clue how she does it."
"You're lucky. Most kids her age whine, cry, and sleep all day, I know Percy did when he was two." I laughed at that, sometimes I forget that this is who raised the hero of Olympus. She's like the most mortal mortal ever, other than being able to see through the mist obviously.
"Yeah, I guess I am lucky," I said, I thought about that for a while. I mean I was lucky, not for having this curse but because I had friends who are helping me through it, keeping me calm, and even training me to use my curse without hurting anyone. I had the best sister in the world and even though I didn't have a biological family anymore, I still had friends who acted like my family. I was pretty lucky besides being cursed.
Will came into the room. "So, Nico said that you're going to Camp Jupiter today," Will said.
"Okay, I have not agreed to that yet," I scowled.
"I think you should go," Will said, "Camp Jupiter has really good arenas, plus I think you'll get along great with Reyna, or horribly, depends."
"I don't know, Will."
"Wait, why are you going to Camp Jupiter?" Sally asked.
"Nico wants to train me there, it's kind of hard to train with me in a city," I explained.
Sally thought for a moment. "I think you should go, it's a really good opportunity for you."
"I-I guess."
"So, is that a yes?" Nico said coming into the room. Like usual he was dressed in all black except for the white skull on his shirt.
"Fine," I sighed, "I'll go."
"Okay, we leave right after I shovel some of Sally's pancakes down," Nico said grabbing a fistful of the pancakes with his bare hands. "Okay let's go," he said.
"Wait Nico," Will said, "Are you sure you can travel that far? Are you going to be okay?" Nico just rolled his eyes.
"He'll be fine," I reassured Will, "I'll watch after him, make sure he doesn't do anything stupid, and when we get there I can heal him to the best of my abilities and make he rests before he can even think about training me."
"Thanks," Will said.
"No problem." I went to turn but was met with a hug from the three people I need a hug from the most. Coral hugged my legs while the Stoll's hugged my upper half. This made me smile uncontrollably. "Thank you," I said when they let go. I bent down and kissed Coral on the forehead which made her giggle and I stood up on my tippy toes and planted a kiss on both of my brother's foreheads as well.
I turned to Nico. "Ready?" I asked.
"I've been ready," he then took hold of my shoulder and shadow traveled us to Camp Jupiter.
Thanks for reading! Hope you enjoyed! Also I'm going to try and get back into the rhythm of doing one chapter a day, so I hope you look forward to that.
