:SIXTY-THREE:

Not too long after Harry's birthday, they were all frantically packing in the flat. Harry was packing to go to the Quidditch World Cup with the Weasleys, while Remus and Sirius were packing for their miniature holiday.

"Make sure to pack extra socks, Harry!" Remus yelled from his bedroom, where he was expertly packing their suitcase.

Sirius had been banned from packing operations after Remus had witnessed the state of his school things over the years. Instead, his job was to make sure Kreacher had everything he needed, as he'd chosen to stay at home again instead of going with Harry or them. He said it was to keep the house in order, but Remus highly suspected it had more to do with the television program Kreacher had recently been following.

"What do you think, Remus?" Sirius said flirtatiously. "Soon we'll be off on a beach somewhere!"

He came up behind Remus, holding him and kissing him on the cheek.

"Not if you don't let me pack, we won't!" Remus laughed, smacking Sirius away.

Sirius pouted adorably, falling onto their bed face up. He let out a long contented sigh, stretching his arms over his head.

"I feel so relaxed." Sirius said lazily. "Don't you just feel lighter, Remus?"

Remus smiled at Sirius. "Yeah, I do. Like everything is falling into place."

"And I was thinking," Sirius replied, looking at Remus while he continued to pack. "That we could start planning the wedding?"

"Papa!" Harry rushed in, holding up two different shoes. "Which one should I wear? I don't know how much walking we'll be doing."

He looked from one to the other. "Have I interrupted something?"

"No," Remus reassured him. "Sirius and I were just talking about wedding planning. I think you should wear your walking shoes, Harry."

"Yeah," Sirius smirked. "You'll want to check out all the booths, and there should be quite a few different wizarding cultures there for you to meet. We don't often get together, so it's always an experience."

"That's true," Remus nodded, folding some socks into their suitcase. "I hope you enjoy yourself, Harry. It's a good opportunity to meet new people."

Harry beamed excitedly, sitting down next to Sirius.

"I know," He rambled. "I've been doing all sorts of research on the two quidditch teams with Ron. The Weasleys are all rooting for Ireland, though Ron really likes Victor Krum. I have to admit, he's a really brilliant seeker."

"But anyway," Harry continued, brushing his hand through his hair. "Can I help with the wedding planning stuff?"

"'Course you can, kiddo!" Sirius smirked. "You are our communal best man after all."

"Brilliant." Harry smiled, getting back up. "Well, I'd better finish packing now."

"Be ready by supper!" Remus called after him. "The Weasleys want you to stay overnight so you can all just leave first thing in the morning."

Sirius sighed contentedly. "Tomorrow morning, we'll be on holiday. No work, no responsibilities, and absolutely no problems."

They had time for a quick supper together before the Weasleys came by for Harry. And then of course the Weasley boys had to stay for some of Kreacher's new cookies before they left. Sirius and Remus did eventually have to say goodbye though, crushing Harry in a group hug. They had talked a big game, but they still missed Harry every single time he left for school and things like this.

"I promise I'll bring you back some cool souvenirs." Harry assured them when he was finally let go.

"We'll bring you back some stuff too." Remus said fondly. "Have fun and don't cause any trouble for Mr. Weasley while you're gone."

They watched as their boy left, heading to bed shortly after so they could wake up first thing in the morning. Sirius fell asleep quite quickly, dreaming of the ocean and the villages they hoped to visit. Remus, on the other hand, lay awake for a long time. He knew, cognitively, that their troubles were largely over.

But the problems that had existed before hadn't vanished just because they'd permanently removed the figurehead of Pureblood prejudices. They had protected Harry from mortal danger, but how could they protect him from the rest of the dangers in the world? Prejudices against werewolves alone were mounting in the wizarding community, making Remus very nervous about his relationship with Harry being targeted.

He would never allow anyone to take Harry from them, but just thinking about all the problems that would entail made Remus feel sick.

Letting out a sigh, Remus rolled onto his side and looked at Sirius. He looked so peaceful, his curls falling over his face gently. It made him feel safe in the knowledge that even if he had to keep fighting his whole life, at least he had someone who would fight with him.
