Hazel led me to the building we had been in before.
"So," She said, turning around, "Whoare you, and why are they after you?"
"I-I was cursed. By Hera, or Juno. P-please, I don't want to hurt you, I'm just here to train."
"What about camp half-blood?" She asked, worryingly.
"I-I had to leave, people didn't want me there, they made fun of me and Chiron told me to take some of my friends and go to Sally's. The camp split in two, some wanted me to stay, they told me I belonged, but others called me a freak, and they thought I was going to kill them. But please, you have to believe me, I don't want to hurt anyone. I just want to have a home, I want to belong."
Hazel did something that shocked me. She pulled me in and hugged me. Tightly.
She pushed me back and held onto my shoulders. "Look, I trust you. And let me tell you, you do belong. With your power, you can do great things. Anyone who can't see that are idiots."
I looked at her. "Now," Hazel said with a smile, "You said that you can heal people?"
Hazel led me to an infirmary and I walked inside. What was inside took my breath away. There were people everywhere. People with broken arms and legs, people with cuts and gashes. This was way worse than at camp.
"How many attacks have you had this week?" I asked Hazel concerned.
"About three per week," She said sadly.
I thought about camp half-blood. What if they were having attacks like this as well? I got a lump in my throat.
I walked up to a patient. "Hey, I'm here to help," I said with a smile. Their arm was in a cast so I gently placed my hand on their arm and began healing.
Several people started to gather around me, watching as the patient's arm started to glow as I healed.
Hazel pushed through the crowd. "How are you doing that?"
"Incredible, isn't it?" I heard someone say. I turned to see Nico leaning up against the one wall.
"Hey Nico," I said, turning back to the patient.
"Hey."
"Hey get back in bed!" Hazel scolded, "You're too tired."
"Nah," Nico said, he went to turn around but started to fall. A bunch of people went to grab him but I got to him first. I stuck my hand out holding him up and keeping him from falling.
I quickly finished healing the person's arm and ran to help Nico. "Hey I don't need help," he said.
"Yes you do, plus I promised Will that I would heal you as soon as we got here.
"Does Will know about you two?" Someone yelled and everyone began to laugh.
"Ew, that's disgusting, he's my cousin." I clamped my hand over my mouth.
"Wait, if he's your cousin, does that make you a child of the big three?" Someone asked.
"I-I, uh, no, b-but-"
Hazel stepped in. "Everyone, go back to what you were doing." She then turned to us, "You two are coming with me, you have more explaining to do."
She led us to an arena this time. "What are we doing here?" I asked.
"After you explain, you're going to show me what you can do, and this is probably the safest place to do it," Hazel explained.
"B-But I don't want to tell you," I said.
"I don't mean to pressure you, but why not?"
"Because I don't want to happen here what happened at camp Half-Blood," I explained.
"Hey, it's okay, you're not telling the whole legion, you're only telling me," Hazel comforted.
"F-fine," I sighed. I looked over to Nico who just stared back. "I-I'm a child of Hera."
Hazel's expression changed to shock "What?! But Juno doesn't have children!"
"That's what we thought until we found Trish and her sister," Nico stated.
"Well, I'm technically an adopted daughter of Hera, but my sister, Coral, isn't."
"Well, that's all you have to tell me for now. You said you came here to train, right? So can you show me what you can do?"
"Well, I can do this," I exclaimed and began to glow. Hazel giggled. "Uh, I can heal, I can make this screaming sound that will stun people who are close to me, I can move molecules around, which lets me move around the air and cause it to solidify. But I can also move all the molecules in one object all at once which lets me pick it up. That's one half of my curse, then the other half isn't as friendly." I finished telling Hazel everything my curse can do and she stared at me.
"That's so cool!" she beamed.
"Not when you have it," I muttered.
"What's cool?" Someone asked. We all turned around and saw Frank standing at the entrance of the arena.
"Hey Frank," Nico said. Hazel grabbed my arm as walked up to Frank. I pulled out of her grip.
"Frank, this is Trish, she's the one who helped us with the attack today," Hazel said with a smile.
"Nice to meet you," Frank said holding his hand out for me to shake.
"I, uh, I don't really like touching people," I mumbled.
"Oh, uh, sorry," Frank said rubbing the back of his neck.
"No, it's fine."
Everyone was silent for a little while which was very awkward. Finally Hazel broke the silence. "Hey Nico, how's Will doing?"
"He's fine, I guess," Nico said.
"Uh, good?" Hazel responded.
"Well, can I help more people in the infirmary?" I asked.
"Sure, that would be a great help," Frank said with a sigh.
"Frank you should see Trish heal! It's so cool, the person's wound glows and everything!" Hazel exclaimed excitedly. I laughed as I followed behind them all the way to the infirmary.
I walked inside and everyone's heads drifted to me. "Everyone," Frank said, "This is Trish, she's here to help us."
I walked up to a boy about 17 years old. "What are you going to do that the others haven't tried?" He snapped.
"Everything." I stuck my hands on his shoulder which seemed to be broken, how he broke his shoulder, I have no clue but it seemed painful.
His shoulder began to glow. "What are you doing to me?" He asked, trying to back away. But I kept a firm grip on him.
Once I was done I began to walk away. "Wait, what did you do?" He yelled.
I turned around. "You can't tell?" I asked, "I healed your shoulder. You should be good just a bit tired."
I walked to the next girl. "Hey, I'm here to help you, just tell me what's wrong and I can help."
"You healed that boy's shoulder just like that," She said in shock.
"Uh, yeah."
"And you barely used any energy! That's amazing!"
"Thanks," I smiled, "So what happened?"
"I sprained my ankle."
I placed my hand on her ankle and began to heal. I spent the rest of the day healing people left and right. I was so tired when Nico and I shadow traveled back to Sally's that we both fell fast asleep in the living room.
