Once again, I was in Twilight's office along with Starlight just watching her put seals on papers and I don't know what else to say. Anyways, I opened the door and Spike came in with a letter in his hands. He said "Twilight! Look at the scroll I just got!" I used my magic to levitate the paper over to me and I rolled my eyes. I said "Of course. How lovely. This will definitely be interesting Twilight." I levitated the paper over to Twilight and she read it as well. Her eyes went wide and she gasped in excitement. She said "Do you know what this means?" I have no idea. Spike nodded in agreement and Starlight said "Uh, I don't. What's so exciting about a toy crown?" Nothing really. You should see how my kind acts when it wants something really badly. It's quite chaotic and hilarious to watch at the same time. Spike said "Oh, it's no toy crown, it's the hard one helm of the Sibling Supreme." Oh brother. Here we go with that again. Starlight was confused and Twilight said "When Shining Armor and I were small, we competed over everything." I raised a brow and said "Then how come you said you never had a single fight with your brother?" I pulled up a screen showing the song that Twilight sang in "A Canterlot Wedding" back in Season 2 and Twilight's jaw dropped.
She asked "Ho-how did you know about that?!" I said "Well, since I have my full power back, that means I can go back into the timeline and pull up events to use in circumstances like this one where I am confused and demand an explanation. Anyway, may I mind you that competing doesn't always mean you will still be nice to each other. What you're saying is quite contradicting." Twilight blinked for a few seconds before saying "Well, to keep it friendly, our parents gave us gold stars every time we did something special. Sharing, getting good grades, even telling a really funny joke. And at the end of each week, we'd add up the stars. The sibling with the most would win the crown of the sibling supreme and bragging rights. Till next time." I'm shaking my head right now. Starlight says "Guess that explains your love of charts and so much else." Obviously. I said "Well, this obviously has some major flaws." Twilight raised a brow and asked "How so?" I said "Well, first of all, having bragging rights over a crown can actually make you turn entitled and think you are better than anyone else and doesn't demonstrate good sportsmanship. Also, competing over anything can actually lead to division instead of unity as you may think. Finally, it reinforces that having a massive ego is okay when in reality, it's not." Twilight's eyes went wide for a second before saying "I guess I never have thought of it like that." I said "Common misconception. I only know about it from experience." Starlight said "I'm guessing you didn't get along that great with your siblings?"
I said "Well, for the most part, yes. I mean, technically have four siblings, but I only grew up with one of them with them being younger than me. All the other three are much older than I am. Me and my younger sister always bickered with one another because that's just part of sibling rivalry. It's part of human nature. Anyways, we were basically described as the best of friends, yet worse of enemies." Starlight said "That's quite confusing. How can you be the best of friends, yet worse of enemies?" I said "It was like this. Sometimes we got along so well, it was like we were best friends. However, on other days, when we fought with each other, we were the worst of enemies. No, we didn't try to physically harm each other so don't get any bad ideas in your head. We would only verbally abuse each other." Starlight said "Oh that makes more sense. So what about your other siblings?" I said "Well, it made it really difficult for me to actually view them as siblings because I never grew up with them and I would not see them very often, so they seemed more like friends than family to me. Well, except for one." Starlight asked "Who would that be?" I sighed and said "None other than my oldest sister. She was definitely a strange woman alright. She wasn't in my life for most of my childhood, and when she finally did reappear when my niece was born, she only stayed for like a couple of months before fleeing back to North Carolina."
"It really hit the family, especially my younger sister, really hard because she had built a friendship with her, but I didn't bother me that much. I was used to it, so it didn't affect me as much. But when I heard of why she fled back to North Carolina from my older brother, I was disgusted by it and just the mere mention of her name became a sore subject in my family. Basically, the point is I had a really messed up family on my dad's side. The age gap is so wide that my oldest sister is in her 60's now while I'm still in my late 20's. That's how far it spread. *sighs* It's not exactly something I'm quite proud of whatsoever." Twilight came over to me and said "I'm sorry you had to endure that for so many years. That is truly one of the saddest stories I have ever heard." Tell me about it. Starlight said "Yeah, that sounds pretty awful. I can't imagine what that would feel like." It's a good thing you don't. It wasn't pretty. Spike said "Yeah bro. That doesn't sound cool at all." It sure doesn't. "Anyway, it says here Twilight that Shining wants you to meet at Celestia's castle to "decide who deserves the crown once and for all." Oh goodie. How wonderful. Both Twilight and Spike said "Race ya there!" and I rolled my eyes. I'm jealous of Twilight. The only reason why is cause she seems to have a better functional family than I ever had. Both sides of my family were extremely dysfunctional and it was quite embarrassing to watch and be a part of. I wish that wasn't the case, but unfortunately, I couldn't do anything about it, so oh well.
Starlight yelled down the hall "Guess I'll watch the school?" I said "Yeah, it would be a good idea to do that. I better go with them to make sure they don't get into trouble over there and do something stupid. Anyway, see ya later!" I went out of the office and teleported to the throne room. "Oh how wonderful. Celestia, Luna. Nice to see you again." Both of them said "You too." and stared at each other in disgust. Oh brother. Here we go again. Twilight came in and saw the crown on Shining's head. She asked "You're wearing it?" I guess. Shining said "Look, I know you've always held a grudge because I left home with this." Oh really? This is interesting. Twilight, care to explain? Twilight said "Grudge? Pfft, what grudge?" Uh, are you denying it then? That's not very wise to do Twilight. "Just because you've had it for way longer than you should have and I never got a chance to win it back." I rolled my eyes and said "So much for friendly competition. This is exactly how me and my younger sister used to act. How disappointing." Twilight gave me a glare and Celestia said "With the return of Sombra, Princess Luna and I felt it was time to reinforce the castle's defenses." I said "So, after Chrysalis, Tirek, and the Storm King, you wait until Sombra to actually do anything about it? WHAT THE HECK PONIES?! WHAT IS THIS HERESY?! Well bois, time to load up the guns. LIGHT 'EM UP!"
Luna said "Well, I said we could do it ourselves, but some ponies are a bit stubborn." Oh dear. Here we go with the bickering again. Celestia said "So, I asked our old Captain of the Guard to handle the job." Oh really? I see you Shining. All prideful and arrogant. Well, let me tell you. Pride goes before fall. Shining said "I've taken the security here to a whole NEW LEVEL!" How so? "The only thing I need now is somepony to test it." I'll go. I can slice and dice in a matter of seconds. Twilight gasped and asked "You want me to break into Celestia's castle?!" Oh man. I was gonna do that. I am a pro at doing that. Shining nodded and said "If you can get past my defenses, steal the crown, and get out, you'll be Sibling Supreme FOREVER!" Why did you put that much emphasis into it? Now Twilight is going to be even more competitive and won't stop at anything in order to get it. Twilight was extremely happy and stared at it. "But if you fail, I keep the crown." Seems fair enough I suppose. Twilight said "Deal!" and shook Shining's hoof in agreement. She said "Wait are you sure this counts?" I believe so. Why? "Mom and Dad aren't giving us any stars." Oh. Yeah. That's a fair point. Celestia said "I will represent their authority." Sure you will.
"And thank you Twilight. Your help will reveal if there are any holes in our security." Luna wasn't having any of it and rolled her eyes. Hmm. I have an idea. I looked at Spike. He looked at me. I believe we were both thinking the same idea. So while everyone was distracted, me and Spike went to Luna and came up with a plan of our own. I'll tell you the details later. I heard Shining say "And there aren't." Don't be so sure boi. "I've designed a multi tier impenetrable triple backed up line of defense." Oh really? Do go on. "The castle is surrounded by shards of Queen Chrysalis' throne." How on Earth did you even get that? Also, that will backfire on you later on. You'll see why if you have watched Season 9. "Thanks to Starswirl, it's antimagic powers are now tuned to stop any creature from getting inside." Well, you are missing one kind of magic. The Tree's magic. Not even the throne of Chrysalis can block or negate that kind of magic. So, I still have my way around that, Shining. "You can't fly in either. Giant fans keep any creature from flying too close to the castle." That seems a bit hazardous to me. Well, only for the wildlife. If a bird gets caught in that, it can stop working and that can be a vulnerability. It's like all the stories about how birds get stuck in the turbines of a jet engine. It's extremely dangerous and it can cause the plane to crash and kill people.
Also, I can use my shadow form to get inside easily. Either, I can get close enough to the wall to go inside and then climb up through it or the scepter can just tell me how to adjust my eagle wings in order to get past the fans, so that's useless as well. "Plus, the entrances to the tunnels below the castle have been sealed. So there's no underground access." Once again, I can easily hide in the bushes and go through objects to get inside with no problem whatsoever. I thought this was supposed to be a challenge. More like an unfair advantage for me. "And even if you could get in, which you can't, I've doubled the ranks of security." So? That means nothing to me. I can easily sneak past them all inside the walls without them seeing me at all. And no, the throne's magic won't make my magic stop working and then I'm revealed. Instead, the Tree's magic will just block the throne's magic with ease and will allow me to keep going. "Ponies protect every hallway and door which can only be opened with royal guard metals." Well, let me tell you, I can easily sneak past that door, and my scepter acts like a type of secret key that it can easily open any door when it wants to.
"Even if you brought an army, the throne room is the safest spot in Equestria!" I beg to differ on that. "I rigged a floor trap to activate at the slightest touch." Oh my. Uh, this is a kid's show. You are not supposed to be showing that because anyone can fall to their death that far down. That's not family friendly PG-clean. Come on Hasbro. "But say you avoid the floor. Still no luck." How so? "Because I've employed nature's alarm system." Really? Geese? They don't even look that pretty to be honest. And DANG THEY ARE LOUD! Spike asked "Geese?" and I rolled my eyes. Come on Shining. You have got to do better than that if you claim that this is the "safest spot in Equestria." I could probably do a better job at making this the most secure room better than he can. Shining said "You can hear their honks all the way in Ponyville." Wow. That's a far distance. It's longer than I expected it to be. "Plus, they bite." That doesn't scare me. I can bite too and my bite is a lot worse than some goose can ever do. Twilight started thinking about it and did the equations to try and figure it out. It involved a lot of math. Like calculus kind of level. The rest of the gang showed up as well while Twilight drew out variables and equations on her blackboard.
Twilight said "So that's what we're up against." Not that big of a deal for me. I can sneak right in past the defenses, steal the crown, and get back out without breaking a sweat. And the best part is no one will ever notice. Applejack said "Whew, that's a barrel and and a half of obstacles." I said "I can already see so many loopholes that I can use to easily break into that castle and steal the crown undetected." Rarity asked "And all of this is to win some fillyhood competition with your brother?" Pretty much. But to her, it's considered everything and would find that insulting to undermine it like that. Twilight said "It's more than that!" Told ya. "Okay, it's exactly that." Wait WHAT?! Okay. I did not expect Twilight to admit it that quickly. For most people, it would take years for them to admit it. Or even, not admit it at all. It happens. "And to protect Celestia's castle!" Well, that part of it is pretty important. Fluttershy said "If it means that much to you Twilight, we're in." I guess even though it's a major waste of my time and we shouldn't even be doing something this stupid anyways, but whatever. Pinkie said "I was already in." Figures you'd say that, Pinkie. "Come on, who doesn't want to hang with geese?!" I don't. They look ugly and you don't want to mess with them. They get quite cranky if you provoke them in any way. Trust me. Just ask my older brother. He got attacked by one when he was like two or three years old.
Rainbow said "Of course we'll help! But how?" I said "Well, there are loopholes that are part of this security system, but only I could use them. But then again, I could use those loopholes to my advantage and allow you guys to sneak into the castle without any sort of suspicions whatsoever, but that might take a bit." Spike said "Shining Armor might have come up with some great security, but he'll never guess Twilight's plan." I said "I wouldn't say that if I were you." Spike asked "How come?" I said "You'll see in a bit." Twilight rolled her eyes at me and said "We play to our strengths and defeat all the security measures." I can do that quite easily. "That way, if one of us fails, the others will still have a shot at getting the crown." Who's to say they won't betray you? This is anybody's game and alliances can be destroyed. You can't trust anyone but yourself. "Pinkie, you'll distract the guards with a surprise party." Right. Pinkie did a salute and said "Yes sir Twilight sir!" I beg your PARDON?! Don't call Twilight a male Pinkie. She's female, not male. Get your genders right please. Twilight said "Applejack, you'll buck your way into the seal tunnels." Makes sense.
"Rainbow, if anypony can outfly those wind turbines, it's you." I said "It's not exactly outflying them, it's more of outsmarting them. You can fly as fast and hard as you can, and still fail. That's why you have to think carefully and be smart about it by being practical." Rainbow saluted to me anyways because she knew what I meant. Twilight said "Rarity, you'll sow us guard costumes so we can sneak past security." Uh, I would stick out like crazy. The gang might be able to get away with it because they're ponies, but I'm a different species, so I would stick out like a sore thumb. "Then Fluttershy will disable the throne room alarm by charming the geese!" And what about me? "Zach, I'm sure you can find loopholes somewhere and try to work from there." Well, that doesn't sound that great. It seems like to me I'm being treated like the poor man in James chapter 2 in the Bible. How disgraceful. Spike burped out a letter and I raised a brow. He said "It's from Shining Armor." Figures. "Dear Twily, hope your idea isn't just *whispers everything quietly* He guessed your whole PLAN?!" WHAT?! Okay then. Twilight said "WHAT?!" and grabbed the letter to read it herself.
She said "Pinkie party, Rarity costumes, signed the future Sibling Supreme?! OH COME ON!" She pouted and slouched in her chair. I took a look at it and said "Hmm. Well, at least he didn't guess my part of the plan. I haven't been here long enough for him to know about how powerful I can be. But even if he did guess my plan, I can still use those loopholes and he would never be able to stop me whatsoever no matter how hard he tried. Also, this isn't really a surprise Twilight. He's your own brother. Siblings are obviously going to know about things that other people such as friends do not." Twilight looked at me and asked "So you're saying I should give up?" Before I could say anything, Rarity said "What he's saying is that your brother will win." Well, I didn't exactly mean it like that, but I guess you could think of it that way. "No matter how brilliant your plan is. No matter how many variations you try. It'll be something your brother expects. And he'll always WIN unless…" Oh dear. What do you have up your sleeve this time, Rarity? "When the perfect chance comes along, you do something he CAN'T expect! Then you'll win." Hmm. How interesting. Tell me more.
Spike said "You've been practicing that speech, haven't you?" It sounds like it to me. Rarity said "A little bit. It's not like I rushed. Did I rush it?" I said "Nope. You're fine." Applejack said "Absolutely not." Fluttershy said "Oh no." Why do you sound like you're just trying to be nice so you don't hurt Rarity's feelings? That seems awfully suspicious. Sus gus bus. Pinkie said "Yeah, it was fastish." That is not a word Pinkie. Rarity said "We have to do the opposite of what Shining Armor expects. Therefore, Twilight cannot mastermind the plan!" I beg your pardon? "BUT I CAN!" Oh dear me. That is quite a creepy looking face if you ask me. Applejack said "That's definitely unexpected." Tell me about it. Rainbow asked "Uh, how is making you a break-in plan the opposite of Twilight doing it? I mean, Zachary would make sense because Shining Armor wouldn't expect anything, but you, I don't see the difference." I agree. Rarity said "Because my plan is for each of us to devise our own unexpected part of it." Okay. But be careful. You want it to be too unexpected. "Allow me to demonstrate." Okay. So to summarize, I saw Rarity and Rainbow go inside a bar and demand answers from the bartender, I saw Pinkie dancing around in space, I heard the story about Applejack's alter ego, and I saw Spike and Fluttershy do some sort of heist as if this was a movie or something which actually did look pretty cool.
Twilight did say though that she never knew that Applejack had an alter ego, and I said "Twilight, everyone has an alter ego. Including me." Rainbow asked "So what's yours then?" I said "Uhhh, you do not want to know. It's not exactly very pretty, so I'll just leave it at that." My alter ego is really the evil version of myself, Nightmare King. And he is very terrifying. So yeah. I don't want to talk about him anymore. After we saw the visual of that heist movie by Spike and Fluttershy, Twilight shrugged and said "I guess I'm the only one left that still needs a plan." I said "Um, you're not the only one." Rarity said "Zachary, you can still try to find the loopholes and get the crown, because Shining Armor won't even know and doesn't currently know right now, so you're fine." Okay then. "As for you Twilight, that is the plan. You shall do nothing." Woah. That is unexpected. Twilight gasped in shock and Spike said "Shining Armor definitely won't expect that." Definitely. Okay action time. Time to do my part of the plan I have with Spike and Luna. I had to keep Twilight over here near the bushes to keep her away from the castle and not have Shining Armor getting suspicious.
Twilight walked around before bumping into him and smiling nervously at him. He said "You're up to something Twily." I said "Do you really think she would be standing out here if she were up to something?" Shining said "Uhh…." before I interrupted him and said "That's what I thought. So you can take your little behind and get out of here by dropping your suspicions. Nothing is going on here." Shining was quite offended by that, but he could tell that I was serious, so he slowly backed away and went in the other direction. Twilight said to me "You know, that wasn't exactly very nice to say to him." I said "I know, but it's all part of the plan which is making sure Shining does not get suspicious and minds his own business. If that means I have to be aggressive with him, so be it." Twilight rolled her eyes and said "Maybe Rarity's plan will work." Oh really? Look up. Pinkie yelled "Canterlot! We have a problem! AHHH!" Twilight went after the balloon and I went over to another corner. I pulled out the radio and whispered "Spike, you there?" Spike replied "Yep. What's going on?" I said "How are things going for you over there? Is everything going to plan?" Spike said "Yeah. I made sure I did my part." I said "That's good. I made sure I kept Twilight over here and things are looking good so far. Keep up the good work." I put the radio away and looked around to make sure no one was listening.
Once I saw no one was, I went somewhere else to try and identify any more loopholes. After I was done collecting data, I went back over to the corner and saw that Twilight had gotten ahold of the balloon and set it down. Twilight asked Pinkie "Where's Spike and Fluttershy? Did they make it into the castle?" I think so. Pinkie said "They jumped out right before the balloon went *makes spitting noises* But that's all I could see without being in space for I didn't get to go." Pinkie made a pouting face and I rolled my eyes. It's not that big of a deal. Twilight said "Let's hope Rarity and Rainbow Dash had better luck." Most likely. I heard the geese go off and I teleported to the throne room. Luna opened the door and said "Sister! Another false alarm from Shining Armor's guard geese." I rolled my eyes and Luna winked at me telling that she has done her part of the plan as well. This will definitely be interesting. I teleported back outside and I saw Celestia go inside the castle after she was talking with Shining. Twilight said "We should have heard something by now. Something must have gone wrong." I said "Or the geese got riled up for no reason. They do that a lot." Twilight said "I guess. No lookout. No distraction. And no word from the ponies inside. I'm starting to think this whole operation might be a giant FLOP!"
And why would you think that exactly? Twilight began to panic and I rolled my eyes. Now is not the time to panic. You don't even know if things are going well or not. The little opening retracted upwards and Spike waved over to Twilight. She walked over and asked "What are you all doing out here?" I think you might find out in a second. Rarity said "Uh, retrospect, our plan might have been too unexpected." See? What did I tell you? When it comes to heists, you always want to do the unexpected. However, you don't want the plan to become too unexpected that you don't even know how to execute it properly. Twilight gasped and asked "Every part of it failed?" It appears so. That will work out for me though. "Oh, now I'll never get the crown!" Don't give up hope quite yet. Spike came out and said "Well, maybe we should go back to doing things the Twilight way." Even though it will be expected. Twilight got up and said annoyed "You mean the totally expected way?" Yes, that one Twilight.
Spike said "It may not be a surprise, but you have a pretty good record of planning things." I think so. Twilight looked at everypony and they gave the nods of approval. She even looked at me and I gave my nod of approval as well. It's all part of the plan. "Then I guess it's worth a try. Thanks Spike." No problem. Anytime. Spike said "What are little brothers for?" But Twilight didn't pay attention and said "Okay. You all know what to do!" Yes. We went over to where Zephyr Breeze was and Applejack said "I'm strong Twilight, but not even I could buck through solid rock." I said "I probably could with relative ease, but that's not my task, so yeah." Twilight said "That's why I brought a specialist." Oh Maud. Yeah, makes sense. She's a rock expert and she would know where the weak points are to hit through. She analyzed it and drew out a big x with a piece of chalk and pointed to it so Applejack could kick through it. Speaking of which, she bucked that thing as hard as she could and it cracked revealing an entrance to the underground tunnels. We went through the underground tunnels and Spike said "We mapped this out when we got lost down here." I have pretty much studied how these tunnels are connected and where they lead to. I'm practically an expert at this point.
"The lever to the secret hallway entrance should be here." I charged up my magic and pulled the lever down to open the door. Once we went through, it revealed us to the throne room behind one of the tapestries. Rainbow said "I can't believe this worked." Oh, it will get even better from here. Spike said "I guess the best plan is the one you expect." I guess so. Twilight said "All I have to do now is fly over and take the crown and I'll be sibling supreme forever!" Don't get cocky. Twilight spread out her wings to go and get it, but Shining said "Not exactly." and walked over with Celestia and Luna and had a grin on his face. Man, I hate that kind of grin. Especially if you're on the losing end of it. Twilight said "OH COME ON!" and frowned in sadness. Shining said "Got to admit, it was unexpected for you to do everything exactly how you thought you would." Yeah well, we had no choice. "But you should know by now there's no way to beat the TRUE SIBLING SUPREME!" Yeah, yeah, yeah. We get it. Celestia said "I am sorry Twilight. But it looks as though Shining Armor has truly won the crown." Oh really? Spike said "That's the thing about looks. They can be deceiving." HA!
Everypony was shocked and Twilight said "Spike?!" Yep. Shining asked "How in Equestria did you do it?" When he asked that, I went into my shadow form and snuck up to Celestia's throne to sit on it just for some emphasis. I returned to my lion form once I sat on the throne. Spike flew over to them and said "Come on. You two don't think you have the only sibling rivalry? I had an inside pony and lion help." Celestia, Shining, and Twilight all looked up towards the throne and saw both me and Luna just staring at them leaving them completely stunned. "It wasn't hard to miss there was some disagreement on the whole security thing." Pretty much. I'm surprised no one really noticed that whatsoever. Luna said "I said we could do it ourselves, but some ponies are a bit more stubborn." Indeed so. Spike said "So while Shining Armor went on and on about all his improved security measures, Luna, Zachary, and I struck a deal. She put Zephyr in charge of the catacombs, and kept Celestia out of the castle hallways." I said "And my part was keeping Twilight out of the castle and make Shining not get suspicious of anything that might be going on. It all had to be low key."
Spike nodded in agreement and said "Once Luna and Zachary were on board, I just had to do my part. And made sure we'd stick to Twilight's plan so we'd all get to the throne room at the same time. I knew Shining Armor would let it play out until the last possible second. Then, while everyone was distracted by his gloating, all Luna had to do was teleport it over to Zachary and then have him hand it over to me." Twilight's jaw dropped at this plan and Luna walked over. Celestia cleared her throat and said "I apologize for not listening to your concerns sister. It seems we need to account for threats inside the castle as well as out if you agree." Oh brother. Luna said "If you think it's worth discussing." Both of them walked away with forced grins on their faces and I could tell they were still a bit strained with one another. Hopefully they can settle this for good at some point. It's starting to get old and annoying. Rainbow asked "So, if Twilight and Shining Armor failed, who gets the crown?" I said with sarcasm "Well, I guess I could take the crown, but the only problem with that is one, I'm not in direct bloodline of either of them, and two, I already have a crown on my head, so I don't need another one. One is good enough for me."
Spike removed the crown and sighed. Twilight used her magic to take the crown out of Spike's hands and put it back on his head. She said "The true Sibling Supreme. Spike." Well then. That certainly was interesting. Shining said "The little brother we've always had." They all went in for a hug and I just sat and watched them. Man, it actually doesn't feel that bad sitting up here on the throne. Maybe it won't be as hard as I think. I know the Tree said it wouldn't, but I just wanted to make sure. I looked closely at all of them hugging each other and it made me sad. The only reason why is because my family was never this united with each other. I mean, my parents and younger sister were united for the most part, but my aunts and uncles and cousins never really got along with each other. They would always criticize each other for stuff that they have no control over and had basically tore each other apart. It wasn't a pretty sight to behold. I had to deal with this every year at Christmas time. They would meet at Thanksgiving and Christmas, but it was so bad that my mother only wanted to go at Christmas because she didn't want to have to deal with the drama which makes sense. I never really paid attention to it, but since I was a kid, I believed everything my mother said.
Opposers might say she could have been lying, but she was actually telling the truth. I could tell. She would tell me if it was sarcasm or not and she never said it, so that proves it's true. When you're a kid, you believe everything you hear. That's just how it is. I'm sure Scrubby can agree. For some reason, I didn't exactly notice that I had shed a tear or two. I guess when you have such a messed up family and you see one that is connected with one another, it makes you sad and jealous. I'm not going to be mean about it, but it's something I really wish I had. Twilight must have noticed it and teleported over to me. She hugged me and wiped the tears away. I wasn't crying actively or anything, they simply just fell from my face. I was kinda embarrassed and my ears drooped down as a result. Twilight said "Don't be embarrassed. You have been suffering for long enough. It's time for the healing to begin. *turns over to everypony in the room* Come on everypony. Let's show Zach some real family love! His family has been broken for years and he's had to watch and suffer as they have been torn apart." She's not wrong. This has been happening for years and I've had to sit on the sidelines watching it all unfold and not being able to do anything about it.
Suddenly, everypony in the room felt sympathy for me and we all shared a group hug together. It might not ever change the situation, but at least I have a group of friends that I can call family who care about me for who I am and value my personality. It's a great feeling to have and it's quite reassuring that they have my back and won't abandon me when I need it most. I know my parents gave it to me in the past, but I never felt like I was truly valued. They did care about me, but this group of friends with me now actually makes me feel loved and cared for which is what I have always desired in life but seemed like I could never receive. However, I can say now that I have received this gift from my group of friends and they care about me. I can call you guys my family.
AN: This was a fun chapter to make. It's honestly pretty sad that Zachary had to endure that pain for so many years and couldn't do anything about it. My family is pretty whack too, but I still love them regardless. Anyways, sorry this is a bit late. I've been suffering a cold or what I like to call Sick Moose illness for the last couple of days and it kinda left me extremely tired. I'm recovering right now and I'm starting to feel better. Yes, there are other things besides COVID, so don't jump on that bandwagon, because it's really annoying. Hope you understand that. Hopefully, in the next few days, I'll get back to full health and I'll feel more energized. Hope you guys enjoyed the chapter.
Next Chapter: The impossible pursuit of perfection! Twilight receives a box from the postal service and decides to open it right away. However, when she looks through the box, she sees a book from the library that she had borrowed several years ago and never returned. Obviously, she freaks out and is determined to get that book back to the library so she can get her perfect record back. Unfortunately, the head librarian that she had known for years no longer works there and moved to Silver Shoals. She went over there and tried to get her to come back, but the former librarian absolutely refused to go back. Will she ever tell Twilight the reason why, or will she keep it secret forever and leave Twilight empty-handed?
