Call From Veronica
That night at the Winston Riding Institute in Garnet Towers, the dormitory for the girls, Veronica, Tracey Waldon, and Veruca Sanchez were sleeping in their bedroom.
When a loud crash and the frightened neighs of a horse woke the three girls up.
"Oh my gosh!" Tracey exclaimed.
"What was that?" Veruca asked.
"The horses," Veronica shouted. "Are they all right?"
The three girls raced into the stable, only to discover that Headmaster Frederick Winston IV's prized stallion, Snowy Pine had vanished.
"Oh no!" Veruka exclaimed.
"The headmaster will kill us!" Tracey agreed.
Veronica picked up her cellphone and quickly called Jason.
