"Ladies, and Gentlemen~!" The announcer began his introduction of the featured event. The Long awaited duel to determine Duel Academy's fate.
"Today's Duel determines the fate of Duel Academy!" He stated,"Slade Princeton...versus...Chazz Princeton!"
Connar, where are you!?
Chazz asked to himself in a panic, searching the room for any sign of the pink haired heiress.
"Connar said she had a plan...but..."Syrus said nervously from the stands in the small group of friends,"But I don't see her"
"We have no choice now..." said Zane,"But to place our faith in her and whatever plan she is scheming."
"What more can we do otherwise?" Bastion sighed.
"I just hope Connar comes through with something before it's too late." said Norika
Connar...
Jaden blinked as he let out a heavy sigh.
If you really do have some kind of plan here...now may be the time to set it in motion!
Connar...
Chazz gritted his teeth as he looked around for her. She wasn't even in the crowd.
What are you doing!?
"You look nervous, little brother~" Slade snickered,"If you wanna back out...tell me now."
"Does this answer your question!?" Chazz huffed as he activated his duel disk and slipping his deck inside.
"NO ONE'S BACKING OUT OF ANYTHING!"
"IT'S CONNAR!" the friends cheered from the crowd as they watched the pink haired girl strut her way onto the duel field with stride and a duel disk on her arm.
"What's this!?" Slade huffed,"This is a family matter!"
"You're right, Slade." Connar blinked,"It is a family matter! MY family matter!" she said as she held up a new manilla envelope, sealed tight.
The audience gasped and began to whisper amongst themselves.
"What's this brat up to!?" Jagger hissed as Connar took a mic and began tapping on it for testing.
Questions rose in the surrounding eyes and in the eyes of the Princeton brothers before them as Connar held her stage in the middle of the duel field while continuing her announcenment.
"Brothers Princeton!" She called out to them with fierce determination,"You are battling here today for the rights to purchase this school, is this correct?"
"Yeah what of it!?" Jagger snapped.
"Quit wasting everyone's time and get off the stage!" said Slade,"You're in the way!"
"Oh, but I have something important to say!" she stated,""My name...Is Connar Rose Kaiba! " she stated to the audience,"Daughter of the infamous Seto Kaiba and he approves this message." she stated.
"What does that have to do with anything!?" Jagger huffed.
"Oh, but that has to do with everything!" she smirked,"You two...your ultimate goal...isn't it Total Take over?"
They blinked.
"Because if it is, then I'm afraid you have made a grave miscalculation in your attempt of purchasing this school."
"What!?" The brothers gasped and let out low growls.
"That's impossible!" Jagger stated,"We've done all the math-"
"Your math is wrong!" Connar barked, shutting them right up as she continued,"For you see boys...even if you Duel Chazz here and now and some how win with the successful purchase of our Pristege Academy...you still won't have total take over!"
"What!?" Jagger growled.
"What's the matter, Jagger?" Connar blinked,"I thought you said you did the math?" She smirked,"Allow me to clarify...even if you win here according to the the pre standards set before this match...You will only have purchased 98%...for you see...the remaining 2%...belongs to me." She said as she held up a folder of legal documentation.
"Say what!?" Syrus gasped. The rest of the crew seemed just as shocked."But...how!?"
" You're not the only ones who can talk bussiness." she blinked, "For you see, I too, had a meeting with ...and with agreed upon terms, I have successfully purchased 2% of Duel Academy." A Gasp washed over the crowd as well as the people on the center stage."
"What!?" The Princeton brothers hissed and Connar shot them a winner's smile.
"You see, money is everything in the bussiness world, boys." said Connar, "Did you think that as Kauba's daughter, I didn't have any insurance? No scratch of my own?" she blinked, "According to legal documentation standards signed off by my family, this legal Corporate Heiress to the Illustrious Kaiba Corporation...has purchased ownership of 2% Duel Academy!"
A unified gasp filled the room while the Chancellor sat in the back with a grin on his face, Zane sharing this expression.
"Connar...Well, I'll be damned!"
"I don't get it, Bro!" Syrus asked,"What does this mean for Duel Academy!?"
"What this means, Syrus, is that as the Kaiba Corporate Heiress, daughter to Seto Kaiba himself- owner to this school I might add- has bonds." Stated Zane,"This money is technically Connar's, and she used it to legally purchase partial ownership of our school! he stated, "She bought 2%, so even if the Princeton brothers DID win...they'd have an unwanted business partner-because while Kaiba issued a duel deal to these two, Connar came up front with her own money and whatever bargain they agreed upon."
"Wow that's cool!" Norika blinked," SO Connar offically owns some of Duel Academy!"
Oh, but...Isn't 2% still really small though?" asked Syrus.
"Even so!" Jaden said,"In this case, 2% is just enough to give us hope!"
"Nice try!" said Jagger,"But you aren't even his true heir to begin with!" he huffed.
"That's right." said Slade,"We know you're not biologically related in any way to the Kaiba family, because you were adopted!"
What!?
Chazz blinked.
Connar is...adopted?
I...I didn't know that...
he thought.
I mean...I knew Seto kaiba was her dad...that's all I needed to know.
I...didn't think to learn anything more about her...
He sighed as he hung his gaze on her while she held her head down, her fringe shadowing over her pained blue eyes.
Well...I guess that explains why I never heard of or seen anything about her mom...I always thought maybe she was dead or something...
Chazz blinked.
I guess I still have more to learn...
"What...?" Syrus blinked,"Adopted?"
"To think Connar was...adopted..." said Norika, "Come to think, I thought I heard those two say something about calling her an adopted princess or something..." Norika blinked and shook her head, "I was so devestated then, I didn't pay it any mind at the time..."
"Adopted...wow."
"You mean you didn't even know. Zane?" Syrus asked as his older brother shook his head.
"It wasn't my job to know, Syrus." he said softly,"My job was simply to watch her when her family couldn't." he blinked,"I mean...that's all a babysitter does."
"W-Well, yeah but-"
"Will that make a difference?" Alexis asked curiously, when suddenly she was startled by Jaden standing angrily.
"Who cares if she was adopted!?" Jaden shouted out,"That only means that the Kaiba Family picked her by choice! " he stated,"She's still his! No matter where she comes from!"
"Right on, Jay!" said Syrus.
"That's right!" said Bastion,"And that aside, Wouldn't have adopted a child only show Kaiba as charitable?" he stated,"If you ask me that would look to be more beneficial to the company with good publicity!"
"They're right." Said Connar as she rose her head proudly,"Adopted or not, I am still legally considered Seto Kaiba's child, which makes me legally his heir!" she huffed,"Either way you label it, I am his!"
The Princeton brothers growled as the crowd cheered.
"Don't get me wrong, 98% is still a hefty profit of ownership." she stated,"And you would be very well off with that...however, I hope you'll be satisfied with settling because no matter what you say or do, I'll never sell my portion to you!" she shrugged,"So I figured I may as well introduce myself to my future business partners~"
"What!?" Jagger huffed and Slade let out a low irritated growl.
"Nice, Connar!" Chazz beamed.
"Be QUIET, Chazz!" Slade huffed.
"However..." Connar blinked,"While I won't sell...I may consider a little wager."
"What do you mean?" Slade huffed.
"You heard me right!" Connar stated,"It's not even about the money here...it's about the cards!" She huffed and pointed out,"Jagger! Step onto this stage right now and Duel us both! Two on two!" she huffed,"And if some how you still manage to win, I'll toss in my 2%, granting you 100% total take over upon your victory!" she stated.
"What!?" Slade huffed,"Do you take us for fools!? The conditions were already set and signed off-"
"I never said anything about changing the conditions!" she stated back as she held out her deck,"Like Chazz, I too, will only use monsters with no more than 500 attack."
"Say what?" Jagger blinked.
" And more than that..." She blinked and closed her eyes, going back to her meeting with her family in regards of the matter...

"What!?" Mokuba gasped, "Connar-you can't be serious-"
"These are the conditions I offer." she said softly, "Take it or leave it."
"But-Seto!" Mokuba huffed, "Seto you can't possibly even be THINKING of considering this-"
"Understood." said Seto, "It's a deal."
"WHAT!?" Mokuba gasped.
Don't you understand, Mokuba?" said Kaiba, "It's not about the monetary amount she is able to give..." he blinked, "It's about the true value of the offer she is throwing on the table."
"But...Seto..." Mokuba blinked, "Her status, her name...being cut off from our family!? HER Family!?"
"It's everything she has." stated Seto, "There's nothing more valuable than that." he said as he leaned back in his seat, "Very well, Connar. I will sell you 2% of my Academy..." he stated, "And should you lose this little wager of yours...I will disown you."
"Seto!" Mokuba cried.
"You will no longer be Kaiba. " he stated, "You will be cut off from this family and all assets that would have come from it as my heir...these are the conditions you offer, yes?"
"Yes sir." Connar nodded, "I understand the risks and accept these terms."
"...Very well."
"Seto, No...!"
"The deal is set, Mokuba." said Kaiba, "I will draw up the contract."
"Thank you, sir..." said Connar, "Thank you...for everything."
"Connar..." Mokuba stood in stunned silence. Eyes rested heavily on the girl who stood unwavering...and tears, slowly streamed down his cheeks.

"Should you accept the conditions and duel us both...Then upon your victory...I will throw out my family name."
"WHAT!?" everyone gasped.
"No...Connar...you can't...!" said Chazz.
"I will no longer be a road block toward the Kaiba brand." she blinked, "I will be out of your way completely...So what will it be, boys?" she asked,"Will you be satisfied with settling on your measly 98% With me as your bussiness partner?" She asked,"Or will you risk it all for the full package? Winner take all~" she smirked and tossed the documents to the middle of the field," My Family, my name, all yours. Your call."
"Grrrh...What should we do?" Slade asked as he glanced over at Jagger who seemed to be pondering the offer.
"So basically, if we play it her way, not only will we get Daddy's Orphan Princess out of the way..." he stated,"But we'll also have full ownership?"
"That's what it seems like..."
Jagger smirked.
"Let's do it." he smirked.
"Are you sure?" asked Slade.
"What could it hurt?" said Jagger,"By agreeing to the pre-set terms, she'll be just as weak as Chazz." he stated,"With that, we'll own everything and take her out of the picture permanantly...it's a win win!"
"All right." Slade smirked as Jagger took the spot on the field next to him.
"You're on, you little brat!"
"Connar..."
"Don't worry, Chazz." said Connar, "We can do this."
He stared at her with a heavy gaze and trembling eyes.
SO this is it...
He blinked.
She's risking everything she has on this match...Connar...
He sighed and closed his eyes.
"All right!" Chazz said,"It's go time!"
Connar nodded and smirked.
"I thought you'd see it my way..." she said softly.
"Connar..." Chazz whispered next to her,"Are you sure about this?" he blinked,"You're risking everything!"
"It's a risk I'm willing to take." she stated back."I'm sorry Chazz, but this involves my family too..." she said,"And now it involves me. For as long as I can... I will stand by my family."
"Hmm..." Chazz nodded,"I understand, Connar." he said softly,"And I will stand by you." he smirked and held his hand up for her,"So? Let's do this!"
"Right!" Connar smirked and slapped her palm to his as they took their spots together.
"DUEL!"
