Clash of Realms

CHP66: Time to Attack

"Say what!" Superman interjected.

Power Girl just sort of looked away from him, and breaking eye contact.

"Yes, it's like she said," Wonder Girl added. "Apollo was given information by one of his guards and we traveled alongside him. Fairy Tale was the suspected culprits, and…"

"I understand the thought process," Superman spoke before she could finish. "No explanations necessary. But this puts us in a most difficult position, one in which is going to require an immediate call to action. Parasite made contact with not only yourself, but Apollo as well, correct?" Superman questioned.

"Like I said, I was engaged with Bizarro and got freaking blindsided. A string of bad luck, that's all this can really be summed up to." Power Girl responded.

Superman let out a sigh.

"Doesn't matter how it happened, fact is now Fairy Tale has knowledge from both you and Apollo's perspective and we're extremely and utterly vulnerable. There is only one course of action, and we need to act immediately. Diana will be here soon." Superman said.

"And then what?" Wonder Girl asked.

"An emergency meeting with all prime members. We cannot allow Fairy Tale the time to take advantage of any knowledge they've gained, especially from Apollo. The yokai realm could be in grave danger if we do not take action now. We've sat on the defense for long enough, this forces our hand." Superman said.

A smirk instantly took over Power Girl's features.

"Kal," she chuckled. "You always know what to say and do in the most crucial moments. I'm going to take off and get the word out so we can get on this sooner rather than later."

"I'll do the same." Wonder Girl said.

"Good, but keep the circle small. Only the…"

"We know, the prime members. Relax and take the world's weight off of your shoulders for one moment. Again, I'm sorry. This is all my fault." Power Girl said.

"No, absolutely not. Don't even go there, we'll fix this. All of us together." Superman said.

"I suppose that is the only sort of attitude we can take. But you're right, we only get out of this together."

"The schematics and movement patterns show that it surveys only this section of the realm," Bruce pointed out over the holographic chart. "Is that its limitation?"

Simply chuckling Fafnir shook his head.

"Not that the satellite itself has any drawbacks, and or angles it can't reach. When the darn thing was built there were certain regulations discussed between the other global powers, including myself," the dragon king said.

"I see…" Bruce said.

"They can't have that thing flying around, aimed at or orbiting certain territories. That includes Arcenill Mount. I don't know about you but I sure as hell don't want no satellite peeking into my bathroom while I take a piss." Fafnir added.

With a step off to the side, and eyes out in front of him Bruce breathed in.

"And what has stopped other nations, including the land you rule over from creating your own?"

The dragon stared at him strangely upon the inquiry.

"Sorry, Arcenill Mount is more than protected as is. We don't need no damn technology looking down on us ha! Hell those damn Kitsune won't admit it, but they've been influenced by humans, particularly in the last sixty years up till now. Sure, maybe here and there they've stepped on the brakes." Fafnir said.

"And how would one get in contact Li Jun?" Bruce asked.

"Li Jun," Fafnir chuckled. "Aren't you just packed with questions, but really what could you possibly want with the technician operator?"

From there came a silent stare-down between them.

"Oh no, yur kidding right?"

Again there was no response from Wayne Enterprises CEO.

"Damn, you're forreal. Sorry but I don't have an inside and my species don't generally associate with the foxes. There's no bad blood between us, but we aren't all buddy, buddy either. I don't know what you want me to tell you. I think we've climbed our way up far enough. We're treading in dangerous territory here," Fafnir stated.

"Like we haven't this whole time. I'm not asking for access of the satellite, just a sit down with Li Jun." Bruce replied.

"Pfff, I don't know… I've gotten my hands plenty as is and I haven't the slightest clue what you're up to unless somehow you believe this thing can track down Fairy Tale. But that would be redundant wouldn't it, after all you already infused a tracker inside a certain prisoner dare I say his name out loud."

That was as far as they got as a ring came from inside the right side of Bruce's jacket. The expression over his face seemed to immediately shift.

"All good?"

"It's the Justice League," Bruce responded.

Inside an alleyway where the mafia lurked about stood seven men who were overly dressed in three piece suits. Blues, blacks and grays. It was a meeting that had been put off for far too long which could be agreed upon.

The discussion was about how they would take advantage of the current state of affairs. It was no secret to Gotham's underworld that things had been steadily quiet on the surface. Way too calm in fact, which meant opportunity. The top level guys were nowhere to be found, silent as rats inside the gutter, drowned out by a city's noise. It was a long extended discussion and at the conclusion they came to an understanding. They agreed two units would storm the building's Front gate while another portion of them headed out back. Another discussion was had and to station another group over the rooftop, just in case of unforeseen trouble and added leverage. Getting to this point didn't just come in the snap of a finger, it had been in development for week now. Their course of action, that is. This was going to be easy, way too easy.

And just like that, on cue the first wave of men smashed their way into the building. The location in question was owned by some new muscle, foreign to Gotham. He went by Mexi, and since he'd showed up in town and upping his gang he was quickly setting his flag atop the mountain far as Gotham's underworld was concerned. But they weren't having any of it, no new kid on the block was gonna come trotting into their territory and claiming it as his own. Not on their watch. Not in this city. They smashed through the front doors, armed and loaded, ready for a shootout or some form of confrontation. But instead they got nothing, just greeted by quietness.

"The hell is this…" one uttered, looking all around.

The second ground kicked in the doors to the back and like the first unit came storming in with weapons pointed out in front of them. Not long after came the third and final group, who entered from up top; surveying and going through some of the rooms on the upper level.

"I've got something, get up here now! I've got something!" one shouted.

All units immediately took to the second level, weapons aimed out in front of them and piling into a singular room.

"They're all dead!"

"And of all things… smiling," another added.

And that's when the door behind them slammed shut which was subsequently followed by a clicking sound. Two of them ran for the door and tried pulling it open but with no luck.

"Damn it, we're locked in!"

"Stand back and I'll shoot us out of here!" one lifted his weapon.

But there wasn't much time for him to make a move with a popping sound that came, similar to that of a bottle exploding. And before they knew it the room was filled was gas, stemming from the ceiling and walls. Those inside coughed and gagged before uncontrollable laughter taking over and most dropping their weapons. They laughed historically all the way up to their deaths. In just over two minutes there wasn't a single soul left breathing as the door was pushed open and a lone individual stepping through dressed in purple, cheerfully chuckling.

"Now that's what I call killing two birds with one stone. There's only one top dog in Gotham," the Joker tipped his hat and grinned.

He skipped along down the hall, happily laughing. Things were shaping out exactly as he wanted.

Together they stepped off the platform and began their way through the awaiting double doors. Turning his head from left to right the dragon king shook his head.

"Not too shabby if I must say myself."

Fafnir held a smirk over his features as they continued along and through the hall into the meeting room. And already awaiting them were a three JL members, which included Wonder Woman, Cyborg, and Powergirl.

"Superman said this was urgent and to bring Fafnir, explain," Batman said.

"It is, and we need to act immediately. Power girl and..."

"No, let me," Powergirl cut Wonder woman off. "Wonder Girl and I took a trip to the yokai realm, Innocent intentions I can assure you."

"What happened?" the caped crusader stood tall.

Powergirl cleared her throat and with crossed arms.

"Their intent was to meet with Apollo. Powergirl wanted to aquant herself, in addition to getting a small glimpse of what is the monster realm." Cyborg said.

"It's okay Victor, I've got this," she looked from him and to Batman. "It happened so fast, one second we're sitting and talking with the monster king and the next we're taking off to battle."

She went on and explained what happened from the beginning while they listened and halfway through Fafnir found that his fists were tightened. Until she finished he didn't speak nor make a move, but much circulated within his mind.

"And that was it. Apollo is out cold and from what one of his followers implied, it could be for days. The Lastiaz sphere is in their possession, which is a loss in itself, but the real problem is..."

"Parasite," Batman finished.

And it was at this time Fafnir bit down over his tongue, reaching into his pocket with a small device in hand, flipping it on in one click.

"Damn it, just as I thought!" the dragon king growled.

"What is it?" Wonder Woman inquired, with Batman also looking to him.

"Nothing really, it's just my contacts were blowing up all of last night and now I know why."

The dragon king looked over the small screen and found that most the contacts were from Tsukune.

"Got all caught up in partying last night, I didn't give... never mind, it's water under the bridge now. But this thing, Parasite or whatever you call it. You're sure that thing has got pop's knowledge and memories stored in its thick skull?"

"Unfortunately yes. Your father as we speak lays unconscious and barely clinging to life," Powergirl responded.

"Well damn, so this thing has the mind, techniques of father in addition to kryptonian DNA and all at Fairy Tale's disposal. Yeah, we're fucked..."

"Not if we take it to them now. Our window of opportunity is small, and the longer we wait, the more time we give them to plot and corner us," Diana added.

"In the perfect world, sure but how do even go about tracking them? And don't say tracking the Drocgoeus. I'm talking full infiltration, and smashing through their front door and settling this!"

Powergirl's words lingered over the group collectively and it was Cyborg that bit at his own tongue. He breathed inwardly and closing his eyes while he thought things through.

"Batman..." he looked in his direction. "I think now is the time."

"What is he talking about?" Wonder Woman looked his way.

Standing still, he said nothing and nor could they see his eyes through those snow white lenses. The room's attention weighed heavy over him.

"Come on, this isn't the time to withhold information. You had your reasons early on but now..."

"Victor!" Batman cut him off.

"I'm lost," Powergirl's brow raised.

And this was at the same time that Diana glared down over him.

"Whatever it is he's talking about you best tell us. If not from you it'll be from him," Wonder Woman said.

Another few moments passed as he straightened his stance and started up.

"The when, why and who are unimportant, however what Cyborg eludes to is a tracker." Batman responded.

From the time it had occurred this was something he had hoped at no point would surface. But here they were now and the caped crusader with really no other option.

"Tracker for what?" Wonder Woman questioned, but this time with a hint of annoyance in her tone.

No answer came from the Dark Knight and instead he took off for the automatic doors.

"Follow me," Batman said.

Everyone present did just that and found themselves stepping into the control room. Standing in front of the controls Batman typed away.

"Okay this is all getting a bit weird for me, can someone explain to me what's happening. What are you even doing?" Powergirl leaned against the counter on his left side.

"The bat computer," he responded without taking his eyes off the screen.

Fafnir watched but kept quiet with a variety of scenario playing in the back of his mind, in regards to the situation. Far as he was concerned the detective couldn't have went about things any better given the circumstance. Full in depth details in regards to their activities inside the yokai realm connected with Jitoshi Ichiro would prove very incriminating and open the door to various other problems, much that they would have to answer for.

"Superman should be returning soon with a handful of others. I don't know what you have here and how it might help, but we're thinking hours, not days," Wonder Woman said.

"Hours!? Father just got his tail kicked, and your alien friend here didn't do a whole lot better. I'm down for hours, but you better have one damn good plan! I don't think kicking in their freaking front door is a great course of action. Just my two cents," Fafnir said.

Pushing away from the countertop space, Powergirl paced about. And that's when Batman's eyes enlarged with the contents which appeared on screen. Cyborg too noticed and realized the significance of what was displayed.

"And things went from bad to worse..." Cyborg spoke aloud.

"What?!" Wonder Woman grew anxious.

"The tracking device has been disabled. It was constructed to activate upon insertion and if by some miracle it was dislodged from it would automatically result in shutdown. But that shouldn't have been possible unless... surgically removed," Batman said.

"Wonderful, this has been one shit show of a day thus far," Fafnir added.

"Then in the case of that somehow, someway Fairy Tale must have discovered the device, impossible as that improbable as it seems," Cyborg said.

Eying them both in addition to the dragon king, Wonder Woman was nothing short of dumbfounded.

"So let me get this straight, Bruce. This whole time you had a member of Fairy Tale tagged, as in following his or her every move and didn't alert myself, Kal or the whole team? That's ludicrous, for how long?! How many have been put in jeopardy because of this? How many did you let in on this?" Diana looked from Batman to Cyborg. "For long have you known?"

"I'm sorry, I wanted to tell you but his reasons were legitimate in a strange twisted sort of way," Cyborg replied.

Wonder Woman let out a sigh as her eyes closed for a moment as she looked to the caped crusader.

"I trusted you. I always have, and still do. So I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt. Explain yourself," Diana said calmly.

Having his eyes glued to the screen and with a few added clicks he looked to do just that.

"As stated the tracking device was removed, which means we no longer have access to any live movement by them. However, the tracker in question and being as it was calibrated with the bat computer," Batman said.

Powergirl pointed up towards the screen.

"What are we looking at, the lines and dots?" she asked.

There were tons of them over the screen, some brighter and others more transparent. Maximizing the screen, Batman focused everyone's attention on a singular gold dot.

"About right here in this vicinity is where the tracker was removed and if you look towards the upper left corner the time. All irrelevant, however this is what's important."

In two clicks the screen zoomed out with visuals of the whole map in clear view. The dots over the map represented stopping points/minimal to no movement at all. The lines on the other hand represented paths and routes taken by the tagged target.

"Take a look at the lines, most notably those that have overlapped multiple times over a seventy eight hour timeframe. Over and over again," Batman pointed out several sections.

Those standing inside the room took a look for themselves.

"Okay and what of it?" Wonder Woman inquired.

"If their current fortress is the Floating Garden or anything similar, which these patterns all seem to point out. They possess powerful magic and likely have it camouflaged, but with this and Doctor Fate's assist we can uncover it and..."

"Them," Powergirl grinned.

"So the plan is for you all to gather your little league and trot right into the yokai realm and confront those bastards head on, weapons drawn, gloves off. Crazy approach, but I like it," Fafnir grinned.

"And we'd have the element of surprise," Cyborg nodded.

"But hold on there, as you know there are rules about this sort of thing. Entering the yokai realm without invitation, and in the case of your circumstance looking to engage in battle holds another few level s of issues. But hey, with father out of commission for the time being that leaves Bloodriver and myself as top dog. Gotta get a few things in line, but consider yourselves a free pass into the realm, under the condition I join you in this fight. They've been causing the whole realm turmoil and slept father. I'll take pride in nailing each and every one of them," Fafnir said.

"How long can you have that done?" Wonder Woman asked.

"A couple hours tops. You lot band together and then head out to Mount and we'll discuss brief strategy before takeoff," Fafnir said.

Yokai Academy's live play/act concluded which marked the beginning of the primary festivities, which included food, music and other extra activities. And inside the head chairmen's office were the top performers who ultimately made the show.

"Kurumu, Felicia, Lilith, Morrigan... all of you, I appreciate your efforts and helping hand. Especially with this being on such short notice and with really no time at all to prepare," Tsukune said.

Felicia rubbed her paws together.

"This was really so much fun, actually. If you're ever considering doing something like this again, I'm so in!" the cat girl clasped her paws together.

"Wasn't it though," Morrigan reached out and wrapping an arm around Felicia. "Speaking of which it gives me ideas for Maki's next big event."

Both Morrigan and Felicia chuckled together.

"Yes, it was different... but in a good kind of way," Kurumu smiled. "In ways it almost felt like I was again a student here at the academy."

Then came a knock at the already open door. It was one of the staff members with a familiar face standing behind him.

"Someone here to see you sir."

Moving aside the one behind made his way into the office and hands situated inside the pockets of his jacket.

"Fafnir, I had been trying to..."

"Reach me all night," the dragon king cut Tsukune off. "Yeah I know, even if it's too little too late. I was just over on the way to see how the old man was holding up, but said to myself I'll go ahead and make a drop by here. Honestly I'm surprised you showed up to work after all the crap that went on," Fafnir said.

"There's already a plan in place... Akasha-san is secretly going to take over your father's duties for the time being. It won't be officially announced, but done in secrecy," Tsukune informed.

"Spare me the details, I get the idea. If word got out father was out of commission, we'd have problems. I remember the last time he went into dormancy and that spreading. The mobsters and criminals of the realm went rapid. And no I'm not a sour grape about little sis taking over the keys," Fafnir said.

"You know, who told you?" Tsukune asked.

"It wouldn't have mattered regardless. I can put two and two together, someone needed to fill in while he's out. And she's most qualified, having the Dark Lord title and all," the dragon replied. "That's a matter for her to worry about, but we've got other matters to talk about. I'll discuss matters with Akasha, she'll have no problems I'm sure. With a Dark Lord's sign off... no, empress in this case all the loop holes and discrepancies over territory can be avoided," Fafnir said.

"Other matters, sign off. Interesting, do tell," Morrigan said.

"In accordance with last night's events a decision to immediate retaliation has been advised. The Justice League is planning to storm the yokai realm and confront Fairy Tale head, on. A sneak attack they won't see coming, with myself taking part and coordinating," Fafnir said.

"Really!" Lilith's eyes widened.

"But how? I was under the impression their whereabouts were unknown," Kurumu added.

"Stuff has changed, I ain't getting into the details of that stuff right now, but it's definitely going down," Fafnir said.

"Then it's a done deal, I'm in and so is she," Morrigan looked to Lilith. "Aren't yah?"

"Do you even have to ask, of course," the pink haired succubus responded.

Morrigan then looked over at Felicia.

"And what of you dear, down for some action?"

The cat girl looked down as her foot trailed over the carpet.

"I don't know, I'd rather not have to fight unless absolutely necessary," Felicia responded.

Morrigan reached out and patting her over the shoulder.

"It's alright. You can sit this one out and leave it to us. We'll handle them no problem. So when and where will we discuss strategy?" Morrigan looked back to Fafnir.

"My fortress, hours from now. This is going down in the next twenty four, forty eight," Fafnir said.

From within the hall another set of footsteps approached the office.

"Gin," Kurumu waved.

"Kurumu, everyone," Gin tipped his head.

"Gin, what're you doing here?" Tsukune asked.

"Got a call actually, early in fact. It's happening right now. The testing phase that'll determine if I'm in or out. Don't know how they found me, I was just out on a jog and someone came up on me," Gin said.

It was Kurumu looked between both Gin and Tsukune.

"What's going on?"

Leaning forward and running a hand over his head, Tsukune breathed out.

"Another separate problem atop all the others. We've caught no breaks..."

Tsukune ran two fingers over his chin whilst Fafnir looked right at him.

"This isn't going to be an issue for you? Ha, doesn't really matter if you two are absent or not. We'll have more than enough hands on deck to do what we need to," Fafnir said.

Moka sat cross-legged over the carpet. Her eyes were closed and over her face was a look of pure tranquility. This was tough, especially at a time like now when her thoughts were all over the place. How could her mother be that way, so calm and collected? Akasha sat facing her, also cross-legged, probably with her eyes closed, as she spoke, slowly and calmly, guiding her daughter in meditation.

Moka wondered whether Akasha kept her eyes closed. They had been closed at the start of the exercise, because she had checked before closing her own. She imagined that they remained closed, although she would never dare to open her own eyes to check. Was this routine for them both, or Akasha teaching her? She really had no clue.

Akasha would soon be officially crowned empress of the yokai realm, yet here she was calmly going through one of her typical routines. But how, shouldn't she be nervous and maybe anxious? Yet Moka didn't sense any of those things. But doing as her mother instructed she raised and increased her aura, trying to find a steady pace. Whenever she raised it two high it was without real full control, and it was Akasha that wished to get her to a level in which her aura flowed naturally like an ocean wave. This was difficult and the more she tried it brought about pain, real physical pain. One section was through her spine and the other her chest. This wasn't the kind of ache that could be ignored. Both screamed out for attention, begging her to stop and do no further damage. This made it impossible for her to concentrate on anything else, including meditation.

She tried to work out how long they'd been sitting there in an effort to estimate how much longer she had to remain this way and controlling her energies. She had no idea. Too long, she decided eventually. The ache wouldn't split and she had to do something. Moka opened one eye, not even half way, and looked at Akasha. Both of her eyes were firmly shut. Moka closed her eye again and slowly lowered her levels to a place she could control and rid herself of the discomfort. The whole operation was carried out so slowly that even Moka barely felt herself lowering it. The silver haired vampire held her breath for a moment, waiting to see whether her actions had been noticed, then, when Akasha said nothing, allowed herself a smile of victory.

"Moka," Akasha said, immediately wiping the smile from Moka's face, "please keep your mind on the task at hand. Were you concentrating fully on your meditation, the increase in aura would not bother you. No outward distraction need interrupt unless you allow them to. Be aware of everything, but be controlled by nothing but your own mind."

Moka's mouth almost dropped, but didn't for two reasons. One, she had expected to be caught, and two, she didn't want to be caught again. Instead she tried to focus her mind on, as her mother requested, the task at hand. Unfortunately, the task at hand was meditation, and Moka had little experience at this level. And not only that but she wasn't the sit still type.

She tried to center her thoughts, tried to concentrate on Akasha's voice as it guided them through the exercise, but every few minutes she realized that once again her mind had wondered and she needed to start again. Tsukune, her grandfather's current state, and Fairy Tale! Each time it seemed more difficult, as though her mind was determined to pull her into another thought.

'All this effort to relax,' she thought to herself. She knew, of course, that meditation was much more than a method of relaxation, but relaxation was a major part of it. To rid the body of the stresses of the day and prepare for the next battle. And to gain full control of ones aura opened the door to further possibilities in refined technique and strength. She wondered to herself whether she and Tsukune could catch a movie later. With the current circumstance being what it was, that likely wasn't going to happen.

"Moka," Akasha's eyes opened this time with her arms dropping to her sides. "You're far too on edge. Here, we'll call it quits for now and try again later. No matter what happens around you, never let that change things good or bad. You must always stay the sharpest you possibly can and strive to improve. Got it?"

Moka simply responded by crawling on all fours and throwing her arms around Akasha.

"I love you mother," Moka said.

"And I love you," she responded, hugging Moka back.

In just a couple short hours she would become empress. If even for just a short while, it both excited and frightened her.

Sniffing around, he took slow steps and could really only feel out his surroundings and move with absolute caution. He had already sustained damage to the left shoulder, but it was nothing he couldn't easily just shake off. Till that point he had not transformed over into his werewolf form. He didn't feel the need to do so, at least not yet.

In just a few additional he perceived ahead of him what looked to be light, even if just vaguely. Then came the next step, and the tile beneath his foot ever so slightly sinking downward and a cracking sound erupting from the wall off to his left. Damn it he had done it again! Another trap triggered.

Sharp objects in the form of blades shot out towards him and while he eluded most, a select few drilled right into his flesh. He bit back and sucked up the pain as one by one he pulled out each. And with each out he continued on blocking our any of the irritation. But then it came again, another tile sinking beneath his feet.

"Great..." he grumbled.

But this time he was ready for what was to come. Sections of the ceiling rolled open and darts firing off at him. While he dashed forward avoiding all this he stepped over another tile attached to a trap! Flames shot up from the depths of the earth, threatening to engulf him but the wolf in human form avoided all this and what came at him from the ceiling. In a full burst of speed and without hesitation he rushed and crashed through the door at the end of the hall and into an arena with cheers and applause from the spectators in attendance.

"Gentlemen give it up to Morioka Ginei, he has cleared through the first two stages with flying colors and all without transforming," the speaker applauded. "That might just be a first. But now for the final test!"

The attendees of at least eighty in the stands got loud and stomping their feet. Stretching out his neck and cracking his knuckles. From three different angles inside the arena came the sounds of gates sliding open and he just about knew what was to come next. Man how he hated when he was right, especially in situations like this.

"This oughta be fun," Gin halfway smiling, feeling excitement settling over him.

Out of the three gates approached two individuals and in total were six of them. The lot of them were dressed in western style of clothing, two wearing hats but were tossed aside. Like him they stood in human form, but their scent was all too familiar and what happened next didn't surprise him. And it seemed like all at once, if on cue the transformation into werewolf form came; tearing through portions of their clothing and howling.

"Looks like play time is over," Gin jumped back and tossing his upper jacket off.

Beneath it he wore a grey button up with collar, undoing the top two buttons. And lastly were blue jeans and brown shoes. If this was how they did things he could only imagine how others before him failed at solidifying themselves a position in this gang. A six on one just hardly seemed fair. But hey, far as he was concerned he wouldn't have it any other way. With his muscles relaxed and mind settled, just as the ones standing before him Gin made his own transformation.

"Let's dance boys!" he barked.

Taking off in full speed, he didn't wait for a single of them, and instead making the first move for himself. He darted out with tremendous momentum, but came within half a foot of them before shoving a foot into the ground and flipping over them.

"Showboating trash!" one out of the six growled.

While midair Gin kicked at the back of one's head and slashing into another with his left paw as he stuck the landing and it was on from there! He ducked down avoiding a set of claws and jumping up avoiding an attempted leg sweep, kneeing one of them in the face with a spinning kick to the chest of another which knocked him off his feet.

A third came at him over the top but Gin seizing hold of his wrists, kneeing him in the gut while then taking a bite into his shoulder! And with the power of his jaws alone he tossed him seven yards off to the side. But from behind one came up on Gin, taking hold of his arms and applying a master lock while another positioned in front of Gin; punching and clawing away at him. Those in the audience applauded the action. However he'd been in worse and learned a thing or two from Heiji, knowing exactly how to free himself from this double team.

Using his legs, he kicked at the aggressor in front of him, and while he did damage, the attempts really only slowed down and stalled his attacker. And so using the strength in his lower body he threw out his legs which connected and wrapped around his neck and twirling the entirety of his body. The maneuver dropped the three of them to the ground and the one in front with his skull smashing into the turf and knocked unconscious on impact. He'd also managed to wrestle his way out of the other's grasp as he jumped to his feet and grabbing the fist of an incoming punch, twisting the attacker's arm around and dropping him.

Just as he readied himself to jump back in an attempt for a better view of things, one werewolf bit into a portion of his waist and then another in the mid-section, right side of his ribs. He barked and howled as their chops bared down over him! But he had not come and made it this far just to fall now.

In that instant he spun his body faster than he'd done in the longest he could remember and ridding both off his body. Play time was over, and this whole thing was a test to prove his worth and that's exactly what it needed to be. No more games and fun. Deciding in that moment to leave it all out on the field he upped his yokai energy significantly. Both his speed, strength and natural movement increased. His dominance quickly showed as he took over and controlled the entire fight. Even with their increased numbers, they lacked the speed, skill and technique to keep up with him. And just like that one after each of them fell, and Gin rubbing his paws together while surrounded by the cheering crowds.

"What's next?"

He looked to the announcer who just so happened to be the one in charge and running the whole test. Stepping down off the platform where he stood, the wolf in human form approached Gin as some of his defeated foes began standing.

"Since I've been in charge of running things, I have witnessed some spectacular performances and this one ranks right up there with the best of them. Welcome to the team. Dorinindel has got a tough one, that's for sure!" he punched at Gin's left shoulder.

"I'm in..." Gin held back any emotions.

"Yes my friend, yur part of our pack now."

"Hell yeah!" Gin fist bumped him.

The individual standing across from him reached into his jacket pocket as Gin reverted back to his human form and pulling out a slip of paper which he handed to him.

"Some stuff for you to look over. You'll receive a tour of the main crypt later and meet the main man."

"Daizo..." Gin said.

"Precisely," the other opposite of him nodded.

In the minutes that followed Gin was congratulated by other members and stuck around for a little while longer for small conversation. Afterwards he took off and while he did he made certain to check out his surroundings, confirming he was alone and not being trailed. Doing so, he then pressed down over a small piece in his left ear.

"It's done, I'm in," Gin spoke.

"You had me worried for a little while there. I hadn't heard from you in hours," a voice on the other end spoke.

"Had eyes on me from every which direction from the moment I stepped in. Would have risked blowing my cover. You at the rest point, Tsukune?"

"Yup, same rooftop. You're coming into view now. Thanks again, Gin."

"Don't mention it."
