SmackDown: 16/4/2010
Friday Night SmackDown was live at the O2 Arena in London, England. Chris Jericho's music hits and he makes his way to the ring looking none too happy. Jericho says he should have won the World title at the Elimination Chamber but Bladewolf stole it from him! It's a title he once brought to prominence and glory as the greatest champion of this or any other generation. He doesn't have a title opportunity. Jericho goes on about how he deserves a shot at the title, that he deserves to be World Heavyweight Champion after Bladewolf stole it at Elimination Chamber from him. The reason he doesn't have a shot at the title is Teddy Long, the general manager, is the most incompetent buffoon that's ever held a position of power. He needs to rectify the situation by doing two things: hand in his resignation immediately and at Extreme Rules he can face the winner of the World Title match immediately following their match.
Edge's music hits and he makes his way to the ring. Edge says Jericho deserves a swift kick to the groin. Edge says he doesn't think Jericho is the guy to save the title for SmackDown because he's damaged goods. Edge asks him how many times he's speared him and stood over him. If Jericho cared about SmackDown he'd give up the pursuit because right now he doesn't think he could beat Bladewolf. Edge can and if he wants the point proven he can spear him right now.
Rodney Mack's old music hits and Teddy Long comes out. Long says he doesn't appreciate Jericho hating on him. Jericho says if he would do his job he would be hating on him, player. What he's doing is unacceptable and he demands Long give him what he deserves right now. Long says if he wanted to give him what he deserves he'd have security throw him right out of the building. Long says neither he nor Edge have rematch clauses because Edge lost at WrestleMania, and Jericho just stuck his nose in Bladewolf's business two weeks ago. Long then announces that tonight's main event will be a Triple Threat match. It will be the Bladewolf vs Chris Jericho vs Edge for the World Heavyweight Championship!
Jericho looks hilariously displeased with that...
Later
In the arena, Edge's theme hits and out comes the Rated-R Superstar first. He walks down the ramp with determination in his facial expression. He slides into the ring and paces back and fourth in the ring as his theme dies down.
Chris Jericho's theme plays and out he comes to boos from the fans. Jericho walks down the ramp with that cocky swagger in him, a unhappy expression on his face because he wanted this to be one-on-one. Jericho enters the ring and glares at Edge, blaming him for everything.
OOOOWHOOOOOO!
The Devil's Wolf hit to cheers from the fans as the lights dimmed to the sinister blood red and out comes the Bladewolf with Trish Stratus at his side and the World Heavyweight Championship on his left shoulder. They pause on the stage and Trish circles her husband, running her hand across his chest, back, and shoulders before seductively leaning against him then arched her back in a seductive manner before she begins sauntering forward with a sway in her hips, the Bladewolf walking beside her.
They reach the ring and Bladewolf gets onto the apron, holding the ropes open for Trish who seductively gets in, getting wolf whistles from the fans. Bladewolf's theme dies down as he takes his coat off and hands it to Trish, then shoves his title into the referee's hands before getting in the corner while Trish gets out the ring and stands at ringside.
'Ding! Ding! Ding!'
Right away Jericho ran at Bladewolf but is met with a big boot. Bladewolf then tackles Edge down and hammers away with hard rights, causing Edge to cover up from the assault. Bladewolf gets to his feet and picks Edge up before sending him into the corner, then runs and hits a turnbuckle clotheslines. Bladewolf grabs Jericho and hits a belly-to-belly suplex. Edge kicks Jericho out of the ring then tackles Bladewolf into the corner, but Bladewolf drives his knee into Edge's stomach.
Edge fights back with some shoulder thrusts but Bladewolf brings his elbow into Edge's back repeatedly before he gets behind Edge, grabs him from behind and hits a German Suplex. Bladewolf grabs Edge and goes for an Irish whop which is reversed and Edge clotheslines Bladewolf out of the ring. Trish goes to check on her husband as Jericho hits Edge from behind and chokes him on the rope. Jericho goes for a splash on the ropes but Edge moves. Edge punches Jericho and goes for a whip but Jericho reverses it.
Bladewolf slides into the ring, grabs Edge as he came running and hits a belly-to-belly, then he grabs Jericho and hits a German Suplex, followed by three elbow drops to the chest. Bladeowlf locks in an armbar and yanks on it hard to further the pain in Jericho's arm ad he send shim to a knee. Bladewolf then lands a hard kick to the shoulder, sending Jericho down, clutching his shoulder. Bladewolf grabs Jericho's ankle and stomps on it a few times before leaning it against the bottom rope, leaps up and comes back down with a stomp on the ankle.
Edge attacks Bladewolf from behind with lefts and rights, kneeing the World Champion in the stomach a few times before sending him into the corner and runs at him only to be clotheslined by the World Heavyweight Champion. Bladewolf gives Edge a glare before he blindsided by Jericho, who assaults him in the corner, forcing the Bladewolf to cover up before he shoves Jericho back and kicks him in the injured ribs that was caused by Edge last week when Edge speared Jericho through the timekeeper's area.
Bladewolf knees Jericho relentlessly in his injured ribs, then hits a German Suplex, causing Jericho to cough and groan in pain as he clutched his ribcage. Bladeowlf walks over and brings his boot down on Jericho's ribs, then brings his knee into them. Bladewolf gets to his feet and grabs Jericho, lifting him into a Fireman's carry before turning around...INTO A SPEAR FROM EDGE! Bladewolf rolls out the ring and falls to the floor as SmackDown goes to commercial break.
*After the commercial break*
SmackDown comes back from the break to show Jericho and Edge going at it, Bladewolf still laid out outside the ring after Edge's Spear. Jericho kicks the ribs and hits a picture perfect back suplex for a near fall. Jericho works on the neck with a chin lock and looks for the submission. Edge fights up and Jericho knees him. Jericho charges in the corner but Edge moves.
Jericho then rolls Edge up for a near fall. Jericho goes for a Lionsault but lands on his feet and Edge hits the Edge-O-Matic for a near fall of his own! Jericho goes for a bulldog but Edge sends him into the turnbuckle. Edge goes for a Spear but Jericho jumps out of the way...AND LOCKS IN THE WALLS OF JERICHO!
Edge fights out of it as he reaches the ropes, forcing Jericho to break the hold. Jericho sets up for the Spear but Edge leap frogs him and Jericho turns around...INTO A SPEAR FROM EDGE! EDGE HOOKS THE LEG! ONE-! BLADEWOLF SENDS EDGE OUT THE RING! HE COVERS JERICHO! ONE! TWO! THREE! BLADEWOLF RETAINS THE TITLE!
'Ding! Ding! Ding!'
The Devil's Wolf plays as Bladewolf gets to his feet, Trish coming in with the World Heavyweight Championship in hand. She gives it to him and he raises it before shouldering it and leaves the ring with his wife, heading up the ramp...
Because I don't have anything for him for Extreme Rules and Over the Limit...Bladewolf will miss those events and return in June for the Undertaker's vegetative state storyline. Bladewolf will do most of the hunting and destruction, while saying Kane is working to find the attacker, never knowing it was Kane all along. The attacker always hides in the shadows and puts up a mask to cover their real self.
