"...ron"

"..Aaron..."

"AARON!"

"Huh what!?", I stammered looking around in confusion. The two sleeping bags where Dylan and Dawkins had been were empty. Though I was surprised to find Dizzy and Dee Dee in my lap bawling their eyes out. "Woah! What's wrong you two?"

"Dante's gone.", Dizzy whimpered.

"We can't find him anywhere.", Dee Dee added.

The two crying pups collapsed into my arms. Dante went missing? I doubt it's that big of a deal, knowing Dante he probably went off someplace else to do whatever he does. Getting to my feet I stepped outside my tent with Dizzy and Dee Dee following after me. It was still dark outside so not that much time had passed from when I went to sleep.

Dylan, Dolly, and Dawkins each had flashlights in their hands. Each of them all called out for their lost brother into the forest for Dante while looking in different spots hoping to find a clue of his whereabouts.

Dolly spotted me and came up to me, "Good you're awake. Dude we can't find Dante, we heard him scream and now we he's gone and-"

"Woah! Woah! Dolly, slow down for a second.", I said trying my best to calm her down. She was speaking so fast in a panic that I couldn't even understand her that came out of her mouth, but I understood why she was so on edge. "Dizzy and Dee Dee told me everything. Where exactly do you think he could've gone?"

"I don't know.", Dolly shrugged.

I went to my luggage that was leaning up against the side of my tent and retrieved a flashlight of my own. I shined it into the forest noticing medium sized paw prints going deeper into the forest. Where the lead to kind of worried me for Dante's safety. "What are you gonna do?", Dylan asked.

"I think I may have picked up his trail. You all should stay here, I'll go look for him.", I announced to the others.

"You sure that's a good idea to go alone?", Dawkins worriedly asked.

"I'll be fine.", I replied. We all froze as an unholy scream echoed throughout the forest. It sent very bad chills down my spine and made me feel uneasy, but in our current predicament I needed to be brave and push through all this peer pressure and fear. "Remember guys, stay here no matter what. I'll be back with Dante, I promise."

Jesus, it's dark out here. I kept my eyes glued to the ground as I followed the paw prints down a dirt path. There's no way Dante got that far, he's gotta be around here somewhere. Maybe he just went on a stroll and got lost who knows, at this point I felt lost and that I was going in a circle.

"Dante! Where are you? Come on everyone's worried. If this is your idea of a prank it's not funny in the slightest.", I spoke into the darkness.

A couple seconds past and I found the trail of pawprints abrubtly ended. That was it, no torn clothing or anything that could give me a proper idea of what may have happened to him. The tracks just ended abruptly ended.

"Where could he have gone?", I muttered examining the tracks.

Maybe I was hearing things or I was going crazy, but I could've sworn I heard something growling behind me. A sudden feeling of terror washed over me as I slowly turned around to see the source of the noise. Two large bright red eyes glowed from the darkness within the bushes and trees. I began to back up while keeping my eyes on whatever was watching me in the darkness.

A large shadowy figure lunged out of the darkness, growling intensely. I screamed holding out my arms as I spawned a bright red sphere around my body shielding me from the oncoming assault. Suddenly seeing who my attacker was, my heart rate slowed.

Dante looked down at me completely unbothered wearing a cheap werewolf costume. "Dante? Wait a minute, What are you doing? What are you wearing?", I asked totally confused.

"Hahaha! We totally got you dude!", Dolly laughed. Dolly, Dylan, Dawkins, Dizzy, and Dee Dee came out into the open laughing. I'm seriously not comprehending what's going on right now.

"What are you guys talking about? What is this?"

"We set this all up! It was a prank and you fell for it.", Dolly said in between chuckles. So it was a prank after all. I guess they got me good. That just means I'll have to get them back when they least expect it.

"This was all Dolly's idea, just so you know. The story, Dante going missing, etc." , Dylan admitted not seeming all that bothered. I'm guessing he didn't take part in the prank all that much. I put away my shield and stood up catching my breath.

Dolly and the others except for Dylan and Dante laughed their asses off. How did I not see any of this coming? I would've began laughing along with them until I felt someone tap on my shoulder. I turned my gaze to see Dylan frozen in shock holding out his arm, pointing in Dolly's direction. At first I didn't seem to see what he was seeing, but I soon realized that he wasn't pointing at Dolly. He was pointing at whatever the hell was standing behind her.

A tall furry shadowy figure menacingly stood behind Dolly and the others, it's fangs bared. A pool of drool dripping onto Dolly's shoulder catching her attention as she cringed at the digusting fluid. "G-guys behind you.", I muttered taking a couple of steps back. Their laughing ceased as they heard the creature's low growling. Dawkins was the first one to see what it was and let out a shrill scream as he bolted.

"RUN! RUN FOR YOUR LIVES!!!", He shouted dashing past me.

The beast let out a roar that shook the ground beneath us. At this point, getting as far away as possible from this creature seemed like a good option. "Everyone to the van!", I told everyone as we took off in the opposite direction.

The wolf like beast wasn't too far behind us. Thankfully the fake pawprints Dante made lead back to where we set up camp. As soon as we were back to the camping grounds I pulled out my car keys and immediately unlocked the doors. "Wait! What about our stuff?", Dylan asked.

"Leave it! We'll come back for it later! Hurry up and get in guys!", I yelled already in the driver's seat. Dylan, Dolly, Dante, Dawkins, Dizzy, and Dee Dee hopped in and locked the doors. I stepped on the gas and drove straight out of the forest. I exited through the same route we had entered on not looking back. I looked in the rearview mirror to check up on everyone else.

Dylan was pale white, more than usual and so was Dawkins who clung onto his seat. Dante showed some signs of being mentally affected by the event that just transpired. Dizzy and Dee Dee hugged onto each other tightly. Dolly on the other hand had a slight grin and shivered as if she was getting some kind of exhilarating feeling after what happened. The car ride was uncomfortably silent for five minutes straight. "So uh...what did everyone think of our first camping trip?", I questioned out of the blue.

"That...was...AWESOME!!!", Dolly replied ecstatically. "We gotta do that again!"

"NOO!!!", Her siblings interjected.
