Bloom walks into the apartment she's sharing with four other girls, her trunk shrunken in her pocket and her wand currently hidden up her sleeve - well, that welcome speech was certainly…something. The biggest takeaway was to stay away from Cloudtower Castle, for an unexplained reason - Merlin, let it just be a coincidence. Don't let another Sorcerer's Stone be hidden there, please.

And please don't let Faragonda turn out like Dumbledore - it took her five bloody years just to get away from him, who knows what this woman would be able to do to her.

Dumbledore, while hailed as the second Merlin...was still a Wiccan. He couldn't access his magic like a Fairy can. Advantage to Bloom, there. Faragonda, on the other hand, is a fully-trained Fairy that could likely trap her so completely that- Bloom comes out of her thoughts upon hearing a squealing sound, and sees…something decidedly odd, even for her.

There's…a squealing plant sitting on a table, and she just stepped on a vine by accident. It's not the scariest thing she's seen, not by a long shot, but it is…weird. And that's with five years of Herbology and terrifying the Venomous Tentacula, Mandrakes, etc.

"What happened?"

A tanned girl with brown hair and green eyes steps out of a doorway, and Bloom says "Sorry, I wasn't watching where I was stepping and accidentally stepped on a vine." She's not usually one for apologies, but…this one is on her, and she'd rather not be on her guard all the time around these ladies. Especially since she can't exactly out-magic them with just a wave of her hand…probably.

They've got a similar talent for magic as her, after all, since they're all Fairies. Oh, yes, and Bloom's fully-aware that, despite her amazing grasp on magic at Hogwarts...she's likely barely-trained here at Alfea, as far as bars go. She spent a whole year just learning how not to completely lose control if she got angry or scared and burn Four Privet Drive down to the studs, and it took her until she was thirteen to learn how not to get a build-up of magic in her that would make her lose control eventually - though, that may have had something to do with puberty, in all honesty. Something about her body burning off more magic as it was being used to help her grow and such.

The girls introduce themselves, drawn out of their own rooms by the noise the talking plant is making - Flora's her roommate, who seems nice enough.

Stella's a blonde girl who reminds Bloom a bit of Lavender Brown in that she's all into fashion.

Musa and Techna are roommates, and seem like…total opposites of one another, actually. Musa loves music - unsurprising, really, since she's the Fairy of it - and Bloom can tell just from her voice that she's every bit as emotional as the Fire-haired girl is. Techna, on the other hand, seems much more…logical, to put it politely. Reason over emotions, Bloom would guess.

Well, the Fairy of Music paired up with the Fairy of Technology. Makes about as much sense as Nature and Fire being paired up. The very thought makes Bloom want to laugh, just for a minute though. Faragonda agreed to register her as the Fairy of 'Fire' in the records, using her adopted last name instead of her birth one for the records - she's enough of a trouble-magnet as it is, no need to put a sign on her for anyone who can access the school files to find. Like those 'dangerous' Witches from Cloudtower.

Honestly…she could probably flatten the lot of them if she had to - and besides, after five years of bloody Voldemort, she's not seeing a bunch of Witches in college as much of a threat. Cocky? Perhaps. But she's got five years of life-and-death situations and eleven years of using her magic to fall back on. She's earned a bit of cocky, after ending a war before it could truly begin once more.

Bloom takes out her Trunk and Unshrinks it without a thought, taking her bag out from it and unpacking the rest with a wave of her hand - hopefully, this place has a library she can go scope out…and new spells for her to learn. Maybe something new for her tent? Or her armlets? According to the book she got from the Room of Requirement, Fairy Magic is very different from Wiccan Magic, after all. Who knows, maybe she'll be able to mix them up?

And then Stella - the Fairy of the Shining Sun, Bloom remembers - asks "So, who wants to go for pizza?" Bloom instantly perks up - food is one thing she will never say no to, ever. Not without one good reason, at least - being kidnapped, for instant.

Bloom's broken from her thoughts about the pink-haired girl she, Draco, Ron, and Hermione met in Gardenia, California the last two weeks of their amazing vacation - there was something about her, but Bloom couldn't put her finger on it and her friends didn't sense anything off about her - when the box of pizza gets set down by Flora. "Alright, dig in everyone!"

Good news, the pizzas here are way bigger than on Earth - it was probably re-sized that way, smart.

Bloom's about to reach for a third slice of pizza when she feels someone watching her - after so long of everyone watching her, she's learned to tell when someone's doing it. Or maybe its just part of her magic, who knows? Either way, it was bloody annoying in Fourth Year. Thinking quickly, Bloom says "I'm gonna go make a call real quick. Let my Godfather know I'm alright - you did get me a phone, after all, Techna." And then I got a few more for various people as Christmas gifts. Bloom pulls out the blue-and-pink device for emphasis, and the girls all say they'll be here when she gets back.

Unknown to everyone, including their mysterious stalker, Bloom goes around the nearest building…and finds a yellow Ogre in purple overalls spying on her friends. She promptly sends an incredibly overpowered Stunner at his back, which knocks him out at once. Catching him before he can fall and alert her new…friends, Bloom supposes, she quickly senses three dark magical signatures nearby and figures they're this guy's keeper. "Bloody Merlin, lets see who it is…"

'Who it is' turns out to be three incredibly weird ladies that Lavender Brown would have a heart attack over, goth-style makeup and outfits like jumpsuits to match talking in a sketchy back alley.

"Hey, is this yours?" Bloom holds up one of the Ogre's meaty ankles for emphasis, having dragged him here through a combination of magic and pulling him along.

The brown-haired girl openly gapes at her, along with the curly-haired one, but the white-haired girl sneers as Bloom and asks "Who do you think you are?"

Bloom fires right back "Someone who doesn't like being spied on. Now, I'll ask again. Is. He. Yours?"

As Darcy watches, Icy tries to freeze the red-haired girl who somehow or other knocked Knut out...and then dragged him all the way here. 'Tries' being the keyword - Icy's attack gets melted by a gush of fire from the girl's hand easily. And then Knut gets tossed at Icy like a sack of grain - uh-oh…

"Yeah, see, you really shouldn't have done that. I was just going to tell you to keep him on a leash, but since you attacked me…" The next thing Darcy knows, she's got what looks like a stick in her hand…and its spitting out a veritable rainbow of colors. At all of them, since Stormy tries to hit her with lightning upon her getting that thing out and it gets bounced back with a shield.

When the weird girl is finished, Icy's underneath Knut and convulsing - except she looks like she's…laughing? Silently? - Stormy's hanging unconscious from a nearby lamppost by a rope wrapped around her ankle, and Darcy's stuck to a wall somehow. And then she puts that stick up her sleeve and walks over to Darcy, a really annoyed look on her face as she mutters "Not even a whole day here…"

She grabs Darcy by the chin, asking "Look, what's your name? Your friend didn't exactly introduce herself, after all."

Darcy nods, saying "I'm Darcy, she's Icy, and Stormy's up there. We're the Trix." She can't even put the usual pride at that in her voice, this girl just kicked their butts without breaking a sweat.

The red-head smirks for a moment, then says "Well, Darcy Trix, I'm Bloom Potter. Mess with me again, and I won't be so nice next time. Got it?"

Darcy hastily nods, wondering how this qualifies as 'nice' whatsoever, and Bloom lets her go and takes a step back. "Good. Now, I'm going to head back to my friends. Either your Ogre buddy or Stormy up there should wake up, or the Sticking Charm I put on you will wear off after a few hours, whichever comes first." And then she leaves, leaving Darcy stuck to a cold brick wall in the middle of the night by a spell constructed differently from any she's ever encountered before, Stormy hanging upside down and unconscious from a lamppost, and Icy trapped under Knut and apparently laughing silently - and uncontrollably.

Oh, its going to be a long few hours…

All the girls look up as Bloom sits back down, and Techna asks "Bloom, did something happen? My latest detection device was going crazy." Something she was showing the girls, she finished it about a month before coming to Alfea. It detects different kinds of magic and

Bloom shrugs nonchalantly, then says "Found these three Witches and an Ogre spying on you girls when I was walking back. I got it sorted, no big deal. Sirius and Remus say hi, by the way." No reason to make a mountain out of an anthill, after all.

As they head back to Alfea, the other girls say it sounds like she ran into a Coven, rather than just a group of friends - and when Techna looks up known Covens at Cloudtower, the 'Trix' are the resident leaders of the student population. Mainly because they're viciously cutthroat when needed, and had no trouble knocking the last leading coven out altogether.

Oh, great, BLOODY WONDERFUL.

After a moment, Bloom asks "So, why would the leading Coven at this Cloudtower Castle be spying on a group of freshmen Fairies having pizza?" Please don't let it be me, PLEASE don't let it be me... She hasn't known these ladies for even a day, but...they're nice enough. She doesn't not like them, at least.

Stella winces, and says "Well, they might'a been spying on me specifically…"

Bloom blinks, that was…not what she was expecting. Truthfully, she was fully expecting that Ogre and the Trix to be spying on her for one reason or another. "What? Why?"

"Well, I'm the Princess of Solaria. Attacking me would be a huge blow to my father - both my parents, really."

Bloom frowns, and says "So…it might be political. They might be trying to get to your father through you." Ok, I can work with that...

Stella shrugs, and says "Um, yeah. Maybe. Or, maybe they were looking for some freshmen Fairies to pick on, who knows."

Bloom scowls, having the gut feeling that its so not a case of wanting to bully some newbies to magic for kicks, and Musa grins and says "Hey, here's an idea! They have their Coven, why don't we have our own group?"

Bloom, taken off-guard once again, asks "What, like a club?"

"Yeah! Exactly! We're already apartment-mates, after all! Why not make it official?"

Because Bloom's got some serious trust issues, even if they have toned down some with Ron, Hermione, and the rest of the Gryffindors their year, and she barely knows these ladies? Hell, it took her two weeks to open up to ANYONE at Hogwarts her first year!

She apparently doesn't get a say in it though, the Club has been formed just like that. The Winx Club - how Musa came up with that name is entirely beyond Bloom, pessimistic and sarcastic as she tends to be, but the rest of the girls like it so it stays.

AN: Hey, everyone! I know, super-long wait, and I'm SO sorry about that. The vacation just didn't want to be written, though! Just know that Gardenia was at the end of it, they met Roxy, and in between they had an awesome time. If anyone wants to write it...by all means, write away, just please give credit to me about the characters and story-universe.

As for why I'm saying Bloom's basically an amateur with Fairy Magic...well, she's self-taught when it comes to Fairy Magic. She had to learn everything in that department on her own - and, might I add, REALLY fast. Yeah, she can use her magic, she can direct it - she can transform, even - but she doesn't know any Fairy spells. Hell, I completely imagined her learning to fly by shooting bursts of fire to gain some momentum! Yes, she was ridiculously over-powered when compared to the rest of Hogwarts...but, as I wrote earlier, Alfea isn't Hogwarts. And these students aren't Wiccans with almost no connection to their magic compared to Bloom. Yeah, she's still gonna be much more powerful than them...but they can use their magic with a wave of their hand to.

In short...totally different ballgame, and Bloom totally knows it. So, please don't flame me - haha, Bloom and her fire magic - for making Bloom be realistic about her new school.

Anyway, enjoy! More chapters coming soon! A lot sooner now that I've got Bloom at Alfea! Please review!
